Aceh is currently experiencing a public health crisis, with outbreaks of infectious diseases, including three cases of VDPV2 polio and a significant rise in diphtheria cases in 2023. Immunization plays a vital role in preventing and controlling diseases like polio and diphtheria. However, over the past five years, immunization coverage in Aceh has steadily declined, positioning it as the lowest in Indonesia. This study aims to explore how two local news outlets, Ajnn.net and Serambinews.com, frame news coverage regarding the low immunization rates in Aceh. Using a qualitative approach, the study applies Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis, which focuses on issue selection and salience. The findings reveal a notable difference in how the two media outlets frame the issue of low immunization coverage. Ajnn.net frames the issue by highlighting the root causes of the declining immunization rates, such as socio-economic factors and inadequate healthcare services. In contrast, Serambinews.com emphasizes the consequences of insufficient immunization, focusing on the potential health risks, outbreaks, and increased mortality rates among children. Despite their differing approaches, both outlets rely primarily on government sources for their reporting. This reliance makes their coverage less balanced and objective, as the perspectives of other stakeholders, such as local health experts, parents, and community organizations, are largely excluded. The analysis suggests that while Ajnn.net sheds light on the underlying causes of low immunization rates, Serambinews.com underscores the dire consequences. Both outlets, however, could enhance their reporting by incorporating a wider range of sources to offer a more comprehensive and investigative view of the issue.

Flooding is a hydrometeorological disaster that frequently occurs in Jayapura City, especially in the catchment areas along the Acai River Basin. One of the main factors causing flooding is increased sedimentation triggered by massive land-use changes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between land conversion, increased sedimentation, and flooding in the catchment areas belonging to the Acai River during the period 2014–2024. The method used is a mixed-method approach that combines quantitative, qualitative, and spatial analysis. Data were collected through satellite image interpretation, field surveys, sedimentation measurements, and interviews with the community and related agencies. Spatial analysis was conducted to identify the dynamics of land-use changes and sedimentation zoning. Meanwhile, hydrological analysis was conducted using the Mononobe method and rational calculations to calculate the maximum flood discharge based on annual rainfall and runoff coefficient. The results of the study indicate that over the past decade there has been an increase in built-up land area of more than 80%, which has resulted in an increase in runoff coefficients from 0.223 in 2014 to 0.370 in 2024. The maximum flood discharge has also increased significantly from 60.56 m³/s to 100.41 m³/s. Furthermore, river sedimentation has also increased drastically, especially in the middle and downstream parts of the watershed. The correlation map shows that areas experiencing significant land use conversion are also locations with high sedimentation levels and recurrent flooding. These findings indicate a strong link between land use conversion and increased flood risk through sedimentation mechanisms that provide river channel capacity. Therefore, an integrated watershed management strategy is needed, including controlling land use conversion and restoring riverbank vegetation to minimize the impact of future flooding.

During storage and before consumption, grains often experience a decline in quality, nutritional content, and cleanliness due to pest attacks. Botanical insecticides are considered an alternative method to reduce dependence on harmful chemical pesticides. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of three concentrations of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized from the leaves of Cymbopogon citratus against Cadra cautella (Walk.) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) and their potential as biological control agents. The selection of C. cautella as the test organism was based on the limited number of studies examining this pest. The AgNPs used were synthesized through an eco-friendly method, and their optical and physical properties were analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy. The results demonstrated that AgNPs synthesized from C. citratus extract showed high effectiveness in controlling the eggs and second instar larvae of C. cautella. Egg mortality reached 80.3% at a concentration of 40 μg/ml after 24 hours of exposure, followed by 72.9% at 30 μg/ml, and 65.8% at 20 μg/ml. In contrast, the control group showed no egg mortality. Similarly, larval mortality rates were 74.9%, 65.8%, and 60.2% for concentrations of 40 μg/ml, 30 μg/ml, and 20 μg/ml, respectively. These findings indicate that higher concentrations of AgNPs lead to greater mortality in both eggs and larvae. This study highlights the potential of green-synthesized AgNPs from C. citratus leaves as an effective and eco-friendly biopesticide. Their significant impact on egg and larval mortality suggests that they can be developed as an alternative pest control strategy in stored grains, thereby reducing reliance on conventional chemical pesticides that are detrimental to human health and the environment. Further research is recommended to explore their long-term efficacy, safety, and integration into sustainable grain storage management.

Fish bekasam is one of Indonesia's traditional fermented products that involves the activity of microorganisms, especially lactic acid bacteria (LAB), to produce unique organoleptic, chemical, and microbiological characteristics. The fermentation process of bekasam plays a significant role not only in extending the shelf life of fish but also in creating a distinctive sour taste and texture that differs from other fish products. This study aims to analyze the microbiological community involved in the fish bekasam fermentation process through observation and identification of bacteria using Safranin Violet and Iodine staining techniques. This study employs a literature review approach, examining various references related to the fermentation process, the dominant bacteria species, and the environmental factors that affect the quality of bekasam. The analysis revealed that lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, and Pediococcus spp. play an important role in the fermentation of bekasam fish. These bacteria produce lactic acid, which contributes to the sour taste and plays a role in forming the product's texture. The Safranin Violet and Iodine staining techniques were effective for identifying bacteria based on their cell wall characteristics, with Gram-positive bacteria dominating the fermentation process. Environmental factors such as the fermentation time, salt concentration, and the addition of ingredients like carbohydrates or turmeric extract influence the dynamics of bacterial populations in the fermentation of bekasam. This study also emphasizes the importance of controlling pathogenic bacterial contamination, such as Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli, to ensure food safety in bekasam products. The findings provide a deeper understanding of the microbiological dynamics in fish bekasam fermentation and the relevance of staining techniques in microbiological analysis, which can be used to improve the quality and safety of traditional fermented products. This study also opens opportunities for developing safer and higher-quality bekasam products.

One example of a case of falsified documents in the issuance of overlapping land certificates occurred in East Luwu Regency and was raised in court through Decision Number 90/Pid.B/2020/PN MII. In this case, it was discovered that land certificate falsification was carried out by a land mafia, resulting in the emergence of two certificates for the same plot of land. This practice not only harms the legitimate owner but also creates laws and gives rise to complex agrarian conflicts. This research uses a normative juridical method, with an approach based on laws and court decisions. The results show that the preservation was an intentional act carried out by one party, with the aim of controlling land rights that did not belong to him. In the decision, the perpetrator was found guilty and sentenced because it was also proven to have falsified documents, as stipulated in Article 263 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). From this case, it can be concluded that law enforcement against overlapping duplicate certificates is very important to ensure legal certainty and protection. Protection efforts for land rights holders are carried out through a land registration process that complies with procedures based on Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning the Principles of Agrarian Law. Compliance with these procedures can provide a strong basis for identifying legitimate rights holders and preventing future damage, including cases of overlapping certificates caused by document falsification. To prevent the recurrence of similar cases, it is necessary to improve the monitoring system and digitize land data comprehensively by the National Land Agency (BPN). An integrated digital-based land system can minimize the opportunity for the issuance of duplicate certificates for a single plot of land, because all land rights data can be accessed and disclosed transparently and in real time.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the money supply (M2), the BI Rate, and the COVID-19 pandemic on the demand for bank credit in Indonesia. Credit demand is an important indicator in describing economic activity and financial system stability. This study uses monthly secondary data from January 2017 to December 2023. The analysis method used is Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), which allows for quantitative estimation of the linear relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results show that the money supply (M2) has a positive and significant effect on credit demand. This suggests that increased liquidity in the economy encourages increased lending activity by the household and corporate sectors. Conversely, the BI Rate shows a negative and significant effect on credit demand, indicating that an increase in the benchmark interest rate has reduced public interest in accessing financing through banks. This finding is in line with conventional monetary theory, which states that interest rates play a crucial role in controlling aggregate demand, including credit demand. The dummy variable for the COVID-19 pandemic shows a negative but insignificant effect on credit demand. This implies that although the pandemic has had a broad social and economic impact, its impact on credit demand is relatively small when monetary variables such as M2 and the BI Rate are taken into account. Overall, the research findings confirm that monetary policy instruments, particularly controlling the money supply and interest rates, play a significant role in influencing the dynamics of credit demand in Indonesia. Meanwhile, external shocks such as the pandemic tend to be more effectively responded to through medium- and long-term fiscal and structural policies.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, with the increasing prevalence of cases every year. One of the key methods of controlling the spread of DHF is to target the vector, Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, by eradicating their larvae. However, the widespread and continuous use of chemical larvicides has raised concerns regarding the development of mosquito resistance and environmental pollution. This community service activity aimed to provide students at Duta Karya Vocational High School with knowledge and practical skills to use natural, eco-friendly alternatives for controlling mosquito larvae, focusing on papaya seeds (Carica papaya) and alum as natural larvicides. The methods for this activity included interactive counseling, a demonstration on how to produce larvicides using papaya seeds and alum, and an engaging question-and-answer session. Thirty 12th-grade students from the Pharmacy class participated in this activity. The results revealed that the activity was highly effective in increasing the students' understanding and practical ability to independently create and apply natural larvicides. The students expressed a high level of enthusiasm and interest in the topic, actively participating in the discussions and demonstrations. As a result of this community service, the school has expressed interest in incorporating this activity into its School Health Unit (UKS) work program, which will further promote the use of natural, sustainable methods for controlling mosquito populations. The students, now equipped with the necessary skills, are ready to become "jumantik" cadres—community health volunteers responsible for monitoring and preventing mosquito larvae development. This initiative also raised awareness about utilizing organic waste, such as papaya seeds, to create valuable products for the prevention of DHF.

Silicotuberculosis is a complex lung disease, a combination of silicosis and tuberculosis (TB). Silicosis is a disease caused by the inhalation of silica particles, which can lead to pulmonary fibrosis, while TB is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Long-term exposure to silica dust can cause silicosis and also increase the risk of TB infection, especially in countries with a high TB burden. Workers exposed to silica dust in the mining, construction, and manufacturing industries are among the groups most at risk. The diagnosis of silicotuberculosis is often difficult because the clinical and radiological symptoms of the two diseases often overlap. Symptoms, such as chronic cough, shortness of breath, and chest pain, can be very similar in silicosis and TB, often delaying a correct diagnosis. The pathophysiology of silicotuberculosis involves impaired function of macrophages, immune cells that play a role in fighting infection, and a compromised immune response due to silica exposure. These disruptions facilitate the progression of TB infection, further worsening the patient's health. Primary management of silicotuberculosis includes controlling TB infection with standard anti-tuberculosis drug therapy (OTT) and preventing silica exposure. Preventing occupational exposure to silica dust is crucial to reducing the risk of developing the disease. The prognosis of the disease is greatly influenced by the severity of pulmonary fibrosis and delay in diagnosis. The more severe the fibrosis, the worse the prognosis. Therefore, preventing silica dust exposure, along with routine TB screening for high-risk workers, is crucial to reducing the incidence of silicotuberculosis. Furthermore, education about the risks of the disease is crucial to raise awareness among workers and the general public.

Bekasam is a traditional fermented fish-based food popular in various regions in Indonesia, including Batanghari, Jambi. This product is produced through a spontaneous fermentation process that utilizes the activity of microorganisms, particularly lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which play an important role in the formation of distinctive flavors, food safety, and potential health benefits. One type of fish used is lambak fish (Labiobarbus ocellatus), which is commonly found in local waters. Given the high prevalence of cardiovascular disease associated with cholesterol levels, exploring the probiotic potential of local fermented foods presents a strategic opportunity to support public health. This study aims to isolate and identify LAB from bekasam lambak fish from Mersam, Batanghari, and evaluate its initial potential as a candidate for cholesterol-lowering probiotics. The research method was carried out in the laboratory through a series of dilutions (10⁻¹–10⁻⁶) of bekasam samples, followed by cultivation on Nutrient Agar (NA) media using the pour and streak method. Incubation was carried out at 37°C for 24–48 hours. The growing colonies were then observed morphologically and tested using Gram staining. Observations revealed spherical, milky-white colonies with Gram-positive rod-shaped characteristics, indicating they likely belonged to the Lactobacillus genus. This genus is known to lower cholesterol through bile acid binding and free cholesterol assimilation mechanisms in the digestive tract. These findings reinforce the notion that bekasam lambak fish contains local LAB isolates that have the potential to be developed as a natural probiotic raw material. This potential can be utilized in the development of functional fermented food products or nutraceuticals that not only maintain the traditional value of bekasam but also provide preventative health benefits, particularly in controlling cholesterol levels.

Inflammation is the body's natural biological response to tissue injury, infection, or other harmful stimuli. Inflammatory processes play an important role in maintaining the body's homeostasis, but excessive or chronic inflammation can trigger various degenerative diseases, including arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders. One of the main mediators of inflammation is the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is in charge of converting arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. Inhibition of COX-2 activity is an important strategy in controlling inflammation. Selective COX-2 inhibitors (Coxibs) have been developed to reduce the gastrointestinal side effects commonly caused by conventional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (OAINS). However, the use of Coxibs still poses a significant cardiovascular risk, so the search for alternatives from natural ingredients continues. Flavonoid compounds, which are abundant in fruits, vegetables, teas, and spices, show great potential as natural COX-2 inhibitors. Flavonoids have a polyphenol structure that allows for strong interactions with COX-2 active sites through hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic forces. This study is a literature review that examines the potential of flavonoids from natural ingredients as COX-2 inhibitors based on an in silico approach. This method was carried out through a literature search on the Google Scholar database using the keywords "Flavonoid", "COX-2", "In Silico", "Molecular Docking", and "Anti-inflammatory". The results of the analysis of ten articles showed that compounds such as myricetin, quercetin, rutin, catechin, and epicatechin-3-O-gallate have a high bonding affinity with COX-2, even exceeding in some cases standard drugs such as diclofenac and dexamethasone. Low bond energy values (ΔG) and optimal amount of hydrogen bonds support this potential. The findings indicate that flavonoids from natural ingredients can be developed into candidates for selective anti-inflammatory drugs COX-2 that are safer and more effective than existing synthetic therapies.

Volleyball underhand passing training is a process of coaching and developing volleyball players' skills through physical, technical, tactical, and mental exercises to improve performance in the game. This training can be conducted at various levels, from beginners to professionals, and covers several important aspects that support the improvement of basic skills. One of the basic techniques that must be mastered by players, especially in adolescence, is the underhand pass. This technique is the main foundation for controlling the ball and maintaining the continuity of the game. However, based on the results of initial observations on Ahmad Yani High School students, it was found that students' underhand passing ability is still relatively low. As many as 85% of students scored below average, indicating that they have difficulty mastering this basic technique. This problem presents a challenge in physical education learning, especially in volleyball. One contributing factor is the lack of variety and creativity in the teaching methods used by teachers, resulting in a lack of student motivation. This study aims to apply the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) method in volleyball underhand passing training. The VAK method is a learning approach that combines three main learning styles: visual (sight), auditory (hearing), and kinesthetic (movement). This approach is believed to help students understand techniques more comprehensively, tailored to their individual learning styles. Integrating the VAK method into the training process is expected to significantly improve student learning outcomes, particularly in mastering volleyball underhand passing techniques. This research also aims to provide alternative, more innovative and effective learning strategies for physical education teachers in schools.
