Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by systolic blood pressure >130 mmHg and diastolic >80 mmHg, which can lead to serious complications such as stroke and heart failure if left unmanaged. This study aims to describe the application of warm water foot soak intervention in reducing blood pressure among hypertensive patients in the Dongkelan Kauman area. This was a descriptive study with a case study approach involving three elderlies with hypertension. The intervention was conducted for 20 minutes daily using warm water at a temperature of 38-40°C for three consecutive days. Data were collected through interviews and blood pressure measurements using a tensimeter before and after the intervention. The results showed a decrease in blood pressure in all three subjects after routinely implementing the intervention. The highest systolic reduction reached 15 mmHg, while the average diastolic reduction was 5 mmHg. Physiologically, warm water stimulates blood vessel vasodilation, which facilitates blood flow and reduces muscle tension. The study concludes that warm water foot soak therapy potentially effective as a non-pharmacological complementary intervention for controlling blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension.

Background: Acute respiratory infection (ARI) remains a major public health concern, particularly in primary care settings. Lifestyle factors such as dietary patterns and physical activity are increasingly recognized as potential contributors to respiratory health. Objective: This study aimed to examine the association between dietary patterns, physical activity, and ARI among primary care patients in East Halmahera, Indonesia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at a primary health care facility in East Halmahera, Indonesia, from January to February 2026, involving 106 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and medical records. Variables included sociodemographic characteristics, dietary patterns, physical activity, and ARI status. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: The prevalence of ARI among respondents was 77.4%. Bivariate analysis showed that dietary patterns (p = 0.006) and physical activity (p = 0.015) were significantly associated with ARI. In contrast, age, gender, marital status, education level, employment status, smoking, and alcohol consumption were not significantly associated with ARI (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Dietary patterns and physical activity were significantly associated with ARI among primary care patients in East Halmahera. These findings highlight the importance of lifestyle-related factors in addressing respiratory infections at the primary care level.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health problem in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated areas. Control efforts require accurate data and spatial analysis to understand disease distribution patterns. Geographic Information System (GIS) is an effective tool for visualizing case distribution and supporting surveillance and planning of control programs at the primary healthcare level. This study aims to describe the spatial distribution of Dengue cases based on medical record data and produce a geographic distribution map to support Dengue control efforts at the Puskesmas level. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with secondary data from medical records at Karangsari Health Center. The sample consisted of 255 DHF patients in 2025, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were processed through editing, geocoding patient addresses, and spatial analysis using QGIS software.The results showed 255 Dengue  cases in 2025 with fluctuating monthly trends, peaking in April and lowest in December. Case distribution was uneven and tended to cluster. High-risk areas accounted for 15.7%–21.2%, moderate-risk areas 9.8%–15.7%, and low-risk areas 7.1%–9.8%. Megu Cilik Village had the highest proportion of cases, while other villages were categorized as moderate and low risk. This pattern indicates that Dengue incidence is influenced by environmental conditions, vector density, host factors, rainfall, and Aedes aegypti presence. GIS provides clearer spatial visualization, helping identify high-risk areas and supporting targeted public health interventions.

Neonatal sepsis is a major factor contributing to morbidity and mortality in newborns. C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and leukocytes are laboratory tests used as indicators of inflammation. This study aims to determine the relationship between C-Reactive Protein levels and leukocyte profiles in neonatal sepsis patients. The research method used was an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Neonatal sepsis at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in the period 2021-2026 consisted of 30 samples using a total sampling technique. The distribution of respondents was dominated by male gender compared to female gender, who had a low birth weight <2,500 grams. Based on the study, normal CRP levels were found in 21 respondents, which was caused by a delay in increasing CRP levels. Leukocytes had high levels in 18 respondents. Leukocytes are an initial phase of examination in detecting inflammation that does not require a long time, have several different morphological types in detecting inflammation in the body. This study shows that the most dominant increase in leukocyte levels is found in eosinophils and neutrophils. Based on medical record data at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta, analysis using the Spearman correlation test yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.261 with a significance value of 0.164 (p > 0.05). The results showed no significant relationship between the studied variables, with a positive direction and weak correlation strength. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between C-Reactive Protein levels and leukocyte profiles in neonatal sepsis patients.

Chronic kidney disease is a progressive disease requiring long-term hemodialysis therapy that may cause physical, psychological, social, and spiritual problems. Patients undergoing hemodialysis often experience spiritual distress due to changes in health conditions and dependence on therapy. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the duration of hemodialysis and the level of spiritual distress in chronic kidney disease patients at the Hemodialysis Unit of Baiturrahim Hospital Jambi. This study used a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The sample consisted of 57 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a spiritual distress questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.955. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most respondents underwent hemodialysis for ≥12 months, totaling 39 respondents (68.4%), and the majority experienced moderate spiritual distress, totaling 20 respondents (35.1%). Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.030 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the duration of hemodialysis and the level of spiritual distress in chronic kidney disease patients. The longer patients undergo hemodialysis, the lighter the spiritual distress tends to be because patients gradually adapt to their disease condition and therapy.

Diabetes mellitus, as a persistent non-infectious metabolic pathology increasingly prominent in the global epidemiological spectrum, is fundamentally characterized by dysfunctional hyperglycemia rooted in primary disruptions of pancreatic insulin hormone synthesis or peripheral resistance to its biological action, thereby inducing dynamic imbalances in gluconeogenesis and glycolysis pathways; amid the hypothesis that body mass index (BMI) as a measure of central adiposity potentially mediates variability in serum glucose levels, this quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design rigorously tests the causal relationship between BMI and fasting/random blood glucose concentrations in a cohort of 134 adult subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus affiliated with primary care services at Puskesmas Bongo II, Boalemo Regency, through an inclusive total sampling recruitment strategy, precision anthropometric measurement instruments (height, weight, WHO BMI categorization), and laboratory-validated glucometric validation, with multivariate inferential processing based on the Chi-Square independence test at a Type I error rate of α=0.05 using the latest edition of the SPSS analytical suite; the demographic profile highlights female gender supremacy (90 individuals, 67.2%), the normoweight group (78 cases, 58.2%), concurrent with substantial glycemic elevation prevalence (78 subjects, 58.2%), but the crucial statistical output reveals a p-value of 0.831 (>0.05) that negates any probabilistically meaningful association, thus the substantive conclusion affirms the non-significance of the BMI-glucose relationship in this local context, while implying the dominance of alternative etiopathogenic factors such as hypercaloric macronutrient intake patterns, deficits in aerobic/anaerobic physical activity, non-adherence to multidisciplinary pharmacological protocols (e.g., metformin/oral hypoglycemics), and a comprehensive management paradigm integrating behavioral education, continuous monitoring, and personalized interventions to mitigate long-term cardiovascular risks across the diabetes mellitus spectrum.

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder often accompanied by auditory hallucinations and has a significant impact on patients’ psychosocial functioning. This condition can reduce medication adherence, thereby increasing the risk of relapse. In this context, the role of caregivers is crucial in supporting treatment success. This study aims to describe psychiatric nursing care for patients with auditory hallucinations in improving medication adherence through caregiver involvement. The method used is a case study with a nursing process approach, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Interventions focus on hallucination management, psychoeducation, and caregiver involvement in care. The results show an increase in patients’ and families’ knowledge regarding the illness and its treatment, improved medication adherence, and enhanced patient ability to control responses to auditory hallucinations. Caregiver involvement has been shown to assist in supervision and providing support to patients. Therefore, comprehensive psychiatric nursing care through hallucination management, psychoeducation, and caregiver involvement is effective in improving medication adherence and controlling symptoms in patients with auditory hallucinations.

Implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fall risk is a crucial component of pediatric patient safety in inpatient wards. However, nurses' implementation of SOPs is not always optimal, especially for patients at high risk of falling. Inappropriate SOP implementation has the potential to increase fall risk incidents in hospitals. To describe the results of observations of nurses implementing SOPs for fall risk and efforts to improve implementation through resocialization, supervision, and strengthening the oversight system. This case study is an observational study of nurses implementing SOPs for fall risk in the Alfarisi Ward, Jakarta Islamic Hospital, Sukapura. Observations were conducted on nurses providing nursing interventions to two pediatric patients: one with a low risk of falling and one with a high risk of falling. Activities included observation of nurses' practice, resocialization of SOPs for fall risk, three- day implementation supervision, development of a supervision schedule, and proposals for SOP revisions based on evidence-based practice. Data collection used observation sheets, fall risk assessment instruments, and nursing documentation. After three days of resocialization and supervision, the implementation of SOPs for fall risk in low-risk patients was in accordance with the SOPs. However, in high-risk patients, SOP implementation is still limited to displaying yellow triangle signs and locking bed rails, while other interventions have not been optimally implemented. These findings form the basis for developing a structured supervision schedule. Nurses' implementation of fall risk SOPs is optimal in low-risk patients, but not optimal in high-risk patients. Resocialization, ongoing supervision, developing a supervision schedule, and proposing SOP revisions are important strategies for improving nurse compliance and pediatric patient safety.

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged businesses, including skincare brands, to utilize social media as an effective marketing platform. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing strategies and social media content quality on consumer purchase decisions for skincare products. This research employs a quantitative associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 97 respondents, selected using the Slovin formula. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) hypothesis testing, as well as the coefficient of determination (R²), with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that digital marketing strategies have a positive and significant influence on consumer purchase decisions. Furthermore, the quality of social media content also has a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect consumer purchase decisions. These findings indicate that effective digital marketing strategies, along with informative, engaging, and credible social media content, can enhance consumer interest and positively influence their purchasing decisions regarding skincare products.

Postoperative pain following Sectio Caesarea (SC) is a common clinical problem, reported within the first 24 hours in approximately 50-85% of patients. This postoperative pain can affect maternal comfort, early mobilization, and the recovery process. Theoretically, post-SC pain is associated with tissue trauma and nociceptive responses. Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is an increasingly implemented method because it is considered capable of accelerating postoperative recovery and reducing pain intensity after surgical procedures. This study aimed to describe the distribution of post-Sectio Caesarea pain intensity based on patient characteristics. This research employed a descriptive quantitative design with an observational approach. Data were collected using a total sampling technique from all post-SC patients managed with the ERAS method at RSI Fatimah over a one-month period, with a total of 50 respondents. The research instrument used was the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Data were analyzed univariately in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in early adulthood (26-35 years), accounting for 40 respondents (80.0%), multiparous women totaled 30 respondents (60.0%), maternal indications were found in 33 respondents (66.0%), and 27 respondents (54.0%) had no previous history of SC. Within the first 2 hours after SC, most mothers experienced mild pain (scale 1-3), totaling 31 respondents (62.0%). At 8 hours after analgesic administration, mild pain remained predominant, with 36 respondents (72.0%). In conclusion, most mothers who underwent Sectio Caesarea using the ERAS method experienced mild pain during the early postoperative period.

According to the WHO and the Ministry of Health, hypertension is defined as blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg, consistent with the ESC/ESH guidelines. Hypertension is one of the leading causes of premature death worldwide. Symptoms experienced by patients with hypertension include headaches, sweating, palpitations, snoring, daytime sleepiness, muscle weakness, cramps, and cardiac arrhythmia. Clinical manifestations of hypertensive urgency include elevated blood pressure, severe headache, anxiety, and shortness of breath. Mrs. M, a 68-year-old woman, came to the Samudera Community Health Center complaining of a headache that had worsened approximately 3 days ago. The headache is felt at the back of the head, feeling heavy, and sometimes radiates throughout the entire head. The patient also describes the headache as throbbing. The headache was exacerbated when the patient could not sleep, consumed salty foods, and did not take her medication regularly.  The headache subsides slightly when the patient takes medication and sleeps with their head elevated.  The patient reported that the symptoms were also accompanied by nausea, dizziness, palpitations, and an inability to sleep at night. The patient has been diagnosed with hypertension for approximately 5 years. On physical examination, the patient’s blood pressure was 190/100 mmHg. The patient was advised to adopt a healthy diet by reducing salt intake. The patient was also prescribed the following medications: Captopril 25 mg twice daily, Amlodipine 5 mg once daily, Paracetamol 500 mg three times daily, and Domperidone 10 mg twice daily, to be taken as needed.

Background: Sectio caesarea can delay physical function recovery in postpartum mothers, affecting daily activities. Early mobilization is an intervention that may accelerate recovery. Purpose: To analyze the effectiveness of early mobilization in accelerating physical function recovery in post-sectio caesarea patients at RS Muhammadiyah Selogiri. Method: Quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Thirty-four postpartum mothers were divided into intervention (n=17) and control (n=17) groups. The Barthel Index, Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and observation sheets were used. Results: The intervention group showed faster recovery with significant improvements in Barthel Index scores, time to ambulate independently, and pain reduction (p<0.001). Conclusion: Early mobilization effectively accelerates physical function recovery in post-sectio caesarea patients.

Chronic kidney disease is a progressive decline in kidney function that leads to fluid and electrolyte imbalance, requiring fluid restriction which often causes thirst and may result in ineffective peripheral perfusion. One non-pharmacological nursing intervention that can be applied is the ice cube sucking technique as part of fluid management. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of education the ice cube sucking technique in improving fluid management and peripheral perfusion in elderly patients with chronic kidney disease. The study used a descriptive case study design with a nursing process approach conducted over three sessions in an elderly patient with chronic kidney disease. The intervention was delivered in three sessions, each lasting approximately 15–20 minutes. The results showed a reduction in thirst complaints, improvement in peripheral perfusion indicated by capillary refill time of less than 2 seconds and warm extremities, as well as increased patient and family ability in managing fluid intake. In conclusion, the ice cube sucking technique are effective nursing interventions in fluid management and improving peripheral perfusion in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Background: Sectio caesarea can delay physical function recovery in postpartum mothers, affecting daily activities. Early mobilization is an intervention that may accelerate recovery. Purpose: To analyze the effectiveness of early mobilization in accelerating physical function recovery in post-sectio caesarea patients at RS Muhammadiyah Selogiri. Method: Quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Thirty-four postpartum mothers were divided into intervention (n=17) and control (n=17) groups. The Barthel Index, Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and observation sheets were used. Results: The intervention group showed faster recovery with significant improvements in Barthel Index scores, time to ambulate independently, and pain reduction (p<0.001). Conclusion: Early mobilization effectively accelerates physical function recovery in post-sectio caesarea patients.

Chronic kidney disease is a progressive decline in kidney function that leads to fluid and electrolyte imbalance, requiring fluid restriction which often causes thirst and may result in ineffective peripheral perfusion. One non-pharmacological nursing intervention that can be applied is the ice cube sucking technique as part of fluid management. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of education the ice cube sucking technique in improving fluid management and peripheral perfusion in elderly patients with chronic kidney disease. The study used a descriptive case study design with a nursing process approach conducted over three sessions in an elderly patient with chronic kidney disease. The intervention was delivered in three sessions, each lasting approximately 15–20 minutes. The results showed a reduction in thirst complaints, improvement in peripheral perfusion indicated by capillary refill time of less than 2 seconds and warm extremities, as well as increased patient and family ability in managing fluid intake. In conclusion, the ice cube sucking technique are effective nursing interventions in fluid management and improving peripheral perfusion in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Hypertension is a chronic disease whose management is substantially determined by an individual's capacity to access and utilize health-related information. Inadequate health literacy may lead to poor medication adherence and diminished quality of life. This study aimed to examine the association between health literacy, medication adherence, and quality of life among hypertensive patients at Polresta Sleman. An observational analytic quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed, involving 80 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the HLS-ID-SF12, MARS-5, and WHOQOL-BREF instruments. Bivariate analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation, while multivariate analysis applied multiple linear regression. Results revealed that health literacy significantly correlated with medication adherence (r = 0.469; p < 0.05) and quality of life (r = 0.447; p < 0.05). Medication adherence also demonstrated a significant correlation with quality of life (r = 0.615; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 41.1% of the variance in quality of life (R² = 0.411; p < 0.05). These findings underscore the importance of jointly improving health literacy and medication adherence as an evidence-based strategy to optimize quality of life in hypertensive patients.
