Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of the world's important commodities as a producer of vegetable oil needed by various industries. Leaf area index is one of the indicators of plant growth seen from the size of the leaf surface area that carries out the photosynthesis process. This study aims to determine the interaction of NPK Phonska fertilizer dose treatment and its application method on the Leaf Area Index of oil palm seedlings at the pre-nursery stage. The study was designed using factorial RAK consisting of 2 factors, namely the dose of NPK Phonska fertilizer (K) and its application method (A), and 3 replications. The K factor consists of 5 levels, namely K0 = 0 g/seedling; K1 = 0.5 g/seedling, K2 = 1 g/seedling, K3 = 1.5 g/seedling, and K4 = 2 g/seedling. Factor A consists of 3 levels, namely A1 = watering, A2 = spreading, and A3 = bag. The observation results were analyzed using analysis of variance and further DMRT test at 5% level if significantly different. The results of the study showed that the dose of NPK Phonska fertilizer 1 g/seedling (K2) gave the highest results on the Leaf Area Index, which was 2.90. The interaction treatment of NPK Phonska fertilizer dose 1 g/seedling and the pocket application method (K2A3) gave the highest results on the parameters of seedling height (12.99 cm) and tuber diameter (1.31 cm). The Leaf Area Index weakened positively on the growth of oil palm seedlings as seen from the height of the seedlings, tuber diameter, and leaf sheath length.

The background of this study stems from a number of issues, including the inability of oil palm farmers to make ends meet financially, the impact of their reliance on oil palm income on the well-being of their families, and the relationship between oil palm farmers' income and the price at which Palm Fruit Bunches (FFB) are sold in Nagari Bawan, Kabupaten Agam. Nonetheless, a lot of farmers continue to struggle with a shortage of funding when it comes to running oil palm plantations and boosting the output of palm fruit bunches (FFB). A qualitative descriptive research approach is used, and it involves gathering research objects based on field data. Direct observation and interviews with oil palm farmers in Nagari Bawan, Kabupaten Agam, were used to gather data. The Nagari Bawan administration (Nagari Secretariat) and thirteen oil palm plantation owners were the research's primary sources of information about the circumstances and state of the study in Nagari Bawan, Kabupaten Agam. According to the author's study findings in Nagari Bawan, Kabupaten Agam, income indicators such as monthly income, employment, and family responsibilities may be used to analyze oil palm farmers' income in order to improve the economic welfare of their families. This indicates that oil palm growers are looking for side employment since their revenue is insufficient to cover their expenses.

The development of the automotive world to date has grown rapidly, especially two-wheeled vehicles. Large temperature changes in lubricating oil viscosity, even if the value is too low, will reduce the lubrication of engine parts, increase friction between metals, and cause engine parts to heat up quickly. Efforts to control and overcome excessive engine heat can replace mineral-based lubricating oils with environmentally friendly and biodegradable lubricating oils. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using a mixture of cooking oil and surfactants C64H124O26 and C42H80NO8P as engine lubricants on the power and temperature produced by motorized vehicles. The independent variables of this research are RPM variation and mixture of pure cooking oil with lecithin and polysorbate surfactant (2.5%, 5%, 7.5%). The dependent variables are engine temperature and power. The control variables of this research are testing at room temperature, 4 stroke 125CC matic vehicle, and Raw Material using Palm cooking oil. The test method uses an infrared thermo gun for temperature and Dyno test for the highest power test on the type of Cooking Oil + Polyosrbate 7.5% with an average overall power of 5.872, then for the lowest temperature on the type of Cooking Oil + Polysorbate 2.5% with an average value of 86.2ºC.

The Indonesian government is enthusiastic about continuing the biodiesel program as one of the new and renewable energy mandatory programs which has proven to be able to provide many benefits ranging from achieving environmentally friendly energy, saving state foreign exchange, increasing energy security, to providing jobs; in line with the 7th principle of sustainable development goals (SDGs). In fact, the Indonesian government has increased the B30 Biodiesel program in 2020 to B35 in 2023. It is supported by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), which has the authority to collect CPO export levy funds and redistribute them to biodiesel producers, so that they can produce biodiesel economically. With this mechanism, the Biodiesel program can be implemented even though the price of biodiesel is more expensive than fossil fuels, but does not burden the State Budget (APBN). However, this program is difficult to increase, because the availability of incentive funds is limited by the amount of CPO exported and the amount of the levy. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) must find a way for the biodiesel energy program to achieve the 23% energy mix target in 2045, and not rely on export fund levies anymore.

Land classification for oil palm plantations is an important topic in agricultural and plantation development. In this research, the local binary pattern (LBP) method and support vector machine (SVM) classification were used to identify oil palm plantations from aerial photography images. The main challenge in this process is accurately distinguishing oil palm fields and forests that have similar patterns and colors in satellite images. The LBP method is used to extract important texture features from images, while SVM is used to build a classification model based on these features. The test results show that using this method provides an accuracy value of 83.33% in the classification of oil palm land images. The development of oil palm plantations in Indonesia is becoming increasingly important as investment prospects strengthen. This research helps develop image classification technology to support the agricultural industry.

The conventional type of paper that is still widely used by students to support the learning process in schools is printed modules. Even though digitalization such as ebooks is starting to be used by the public, printed modules are still used to simplify the teaching process in the classroom. The types of paper that are generally used do not all use environmentally friendly paper such as paper from palm oil shell waste processing, due to a lack of in-depth knowledge. This research is a qualitative research that uses interview methods with several students from three different skills programs at one of the Bandung City Agricultural Vocational Schools to measure knowledge about environmentally friendly paper. Participants were asked six questions related to the use of paper in schools, understanding of environmentally friendly paper, and knowledge about paper produced from processing palm oil shell waste. The results show that the majority of students do not know clearly about processing waste from palm oil shells into environmentally friendly paper, but the data shows that alternative types of environmentally friendly paper are needed to participate in preserving environmental welfare and improving economic aspects.

Reducing the area of agricultural areas, especially paddy fields into palm oil plantations in the use of space in Mukomuko Regency, has raised concerns about the impact of these changes, namely the decline in rice productivity, which if allowed to drag on could lead to food insecurity due to the decreasing number of functional paddy fields. into oil palm plantations, especially in areas that are designated as agropolitan in the Mukomuko Regency spatial planning. Time and Place of Research: Research was conducted from October to November 2023 in Muko-Muko Regency, Bengkulu Province. To find out the strategy for managing land conversion, SWOT analysis is used. The results of the research show that the position of controlling the conversion of wetland agricultural land is in quadrant I, namely the position with an aggressive strategy (S-O). In this case the recommended strategy is to utilize strengths to take advantage of existing opportunities. Alternative strategies that can be implemented by policy makers, in this case the Mukomuko district government, to prevent the conversion of rice land to oil palm are clear regulations and establishing clear rice field zones in spatial plans, improving government policies in the farming sector, improving institutions in the farming sector, empowerment and socialization regarding land conversion regulations and improving agricultural facilities and infrastructure

The aim of the research is to determine the system for determining wages for palm oil plantation foremen and the forms of Islamic economic values at PT Kartika Hijau Lestasi Serafoh plantation, Sangga Lima village, Gebang district. Langkat Regency,. North Sumatra. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a data reduction model, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the palm oil plantation wage system in determining wages is in accordance with the principles of Islamic Economics, because the oil palm plantation owner discusses in advance the amount of wages that will be given. Regarding payment procedures, oil palm plantation owners do not delay giving wages, wages are given directly to workers after the workers have finished their work. The wage system for palm oil plantations meets the value of justice, because in providing wages to workers there are differences in wages for each type of work carried out. However, the wages paid do not meet the appropriate value, because the wages set cannot meet the living needs of workers even though the wages paid are in accordance with Langkat Regency UMK standards.
