This research is based on the importance of shipping safety to protect passengers, crew, and the maritime environment from high risk of accidents, especially on high-speed ships that have special operational characteristics. Legal arrangements related to HSC seaworthiness have been regulated in various national regulations such as Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping, Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 12 of 2022, as well as international conventions such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW. However, its application in the field still faces various obstacles. This study aims to analyze the law regarding the seaworthiness of high-speed passenger ships (HSC) and challenges in the supervision of shipping safety in the waters of the Riau Islands, with a focus on the study at Sekupang Domestic Port, Batam City. This study uses normative juridical methods to analyze applicable laws and regulations and empirical sociological methods to explore field information through interviews and observations of related parties, such as port authorities, ship operators, and crew members at Sekupang Domestic Port. The results of the study show that the implementation of HSC seaworthiness in the waters of the Riau Islands is not optimal. The main obstacles include a lack of trained human resources, inadequate inspection facilities, weak law enforcement, ineffective inter-agency coordination, and low awareness and education on the importance of maritime safety. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Batam Special KSOP improve the competence of inspectors and supervisors through a continuous training program. The government is expected to allocate a budget for investment in modern inspection facilities and equipment. In addition, the maritime community, especially operators and crew members, need to increase their awareness and understanding of shipping safety through active participation in education and training programs. With these efforts, it is hoped that the implementation of HSC seaworthiness can be more optimal, thereby improving shipping safety in the waters of the Riau Islands.

Background: Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in Indonesia. Cancer has a high mortality rate caused by delays in diagnosis and treatment. Nearly 70% of cancer patients are detected at an advanced stage. This is very unfortunate, because cervical cancer can be found at a stage before cancer occurs (precancerous lesions) which can be treated so that it does not become cancer. The early detection program for cervical cancer in Indonesia is carried out using the Acetic Acid Visual Inspection (IVA) method carried out by trained health workers. In three years (2020-2022), as many as 3,914,885 women aged 30-50 years or 9.3% of the target have undergone early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method. The highest early detection of targets has undergone early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method. Early detection was reported by West Nusa Tenggara Province at 34.1%, followed by South Sumatra at 33.5%, and Bangka Belitung Islands at 27.8%. Meanwhile, the province with the lowest early detection coverage is Papua at 0.1%, followed by West Papua at 0.4%, and North Sulawesi at 0.7%. In 2022, of the 2,175,314 women aged 30-50 years who had early detection of cervical cancer, 7,869 (0.36%) had positive VIA examination results and 1,232 (0.06%) were suspected of cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is very dangerous because it can result in death, so it needs serious attention. One of the efforts to prevent cervical cancer in women of fertile age (WUS) is by conducting a visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) test. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the low number of IVA examinations at the Margorejo Pati Community Health Center. Cervical cancer is the fourth highest cancer in women with an estimated 570,000 new cases in 2018 which represents 6.6% of all female cancers. The high mortality rate from cervical cancer globally can be reduced through prevention, early diagnosis, effective screening and treatment programs. As of 2016, VIA coverage in Indonesia was 4.34%, which is still far from the national target of 10% at the end of 2015. In Indonesia, cervical cancer is still the cancer with the second largest number of sufferers after breast cancer. The incidence of new cases of cervical cancer according to GLOBOCAN data, 2018 for women in Indonesia is around 32,469 cases (17.2%) with a death rate of 18,279 (8.8%). The Global Burden of Cancer Study (Globocan) from the World Health Organization (WHO) noted that the total cancer cases in Indonesia in 2020 reached 396,914 cases and the total deaths were 234,511 cases. According to the Indonesian Cancer Foundation (YKI), one of the causes of the high number of cancer cases in Indonesia is environmental conditions that continue to produce carcinogens, such as cigarettes, processed meat, etc. Other causes that also influence include the habit of staying up late, lack of exercise, and eating too much. As a form of cancer prevention and control in Indonesia, especially breast cancer and cervical cancer, the Ministry of Health has made several efforts such as early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer in women aged 30-50 years using the Visual Inspection method with Acetic Acid (IVA).

Background: Additive manufacturing (AM) requires reliable and efficient defect detection mechanisms to ensure structural integrity and product quality, yet conventional inspection approaches remain time-consuming and often unsuitable for real-time industrial deployment. Objective: This study aims to develop and experimentally validate an artificial intelligence based vision inspection system capable of accurately detecting surface defects in AM components. Methods: A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture utilizing pretrained backbones (ResNet and EfficientNet) was implemented with a transfer learning strategy and data augmentation techniques. High-resolution AM surface images representing porosity, cracks, and layer misalignment were used for training and evaluation. Model performance was assessed using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-score, and mean Average Precision (mAP), and comparative benchmarking was conducted against traditional machine learning models such as Support Vector Machine and Random Forest. Results: The proposed CNN-based models significantly outperformed conventional approaches, achieving up to 95.1% Accuracy and 92.8% mAP. The EfficientNet backbone demonstrated superior generalization capability, particularly in balancing Precision and Recall, indicating robust defect detection performance across multiple categories. These findings confirm that AI-driven inspection frameworks provide scalable and reliable quality assurance solutions for advanced manufacturing environments.
