This study explores Mohammad Hatta's influence on housing policies in Indonesia, highlighting his integration of Islamic principles into public policy to enhance societal welfare. Hatta viewed housing as a fundamental human right that extends beyond physical needs to encompass spiritual and social dimensions. Grounded in Islamic values such as justice (‘adl), trust (amanah), and solidarity (ta'awun), his policies aimed to ensure equitable access to adequate housing, particularly for low-income communities, while promoting holistic well-being. Hatta’s vision aligned with Islamic teachings that emphasize fairness and state responsibility in fulfilling basic human rights, as reflected in QS. An-Nisa: 58. His ideas inspired initiatives like the Sejuta Rumah (One Million Houses) Program and Tapera (People’s Housing Savings), which address housing disparities and support societal harmony. Additionally, Hatta championed cooperative-based housing development, fostering community participation and mutual assistance, which not only ensured affordable housing but also empowered local economies. By integrating Islamic principles into housing policies, Hatta demonstrated how public policy could balance material, social, and spiritual needs to achieve sustainable societal welfare. His approach offers a valuable framework for future housing programs to promote justice, inclusivity, and collective prosperity.

The increasing population triggers a demand for land for housing and other activities. Along with this, issues arise regarding the limited availability of land, especially in rapidly developed areas. This limitation has the potential to create an imbalance between the growing need for space and the existing land capacity. This study evaluates the land carrying capacity in four sub-districts in the southern part of Medan City, namely Medan Tuntungan, Medan Johor, Medan Amplas, and Medan Denai, in dealing with the continuously growing population. Using a spatial analysis approach with ArcGIS 10.8 software and detailed spatial data, this research identifies potential areas for residential development and projects the capacity of land to accommodate future populations. The analysis covers physical and environmental aspects such as land slope, soil type, natural disaster risks, and access to public facilities. The results show that each sub-district has different potentials and challenges. Medan Tuntungan, with its large area and flat land conditions, shows significant potential for residential development, although attention must be given to the existence of protected areas and agricultural land that must be preserved. Medan Johor, as an economic center, faces substantial pressure on land use, with some areas nearing their maximum capacity. Medan Amplas and Medan Denai, which are more urban, experience stricter land limitations. Population growth projections indicate a significant increase in land demand in some sub-districts in the coming decades. Without effective management, this has the potential to exert high pressure on the environment and urban infrastructure. This research emphasizes the importance of spatial planning and sustainable development policies to maintain a balance between housing needs and environmental conservation.

This research is based on the ambiguity of street naming norms in statutory regulations, this causes the legality of street naming in the Mojokerto city government area to be questioned. Based on this description, the author formulates the problem formulation as follows: (1) What is the authority of the Mojokerto City Government in naming roads? (2) What is the legality of naming roads belonging to the Mojokerto city government? This research uses a normative juridical research type with a statutory approach, a historical approach and a conceptual approach using primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The research results from this thesis show that the Mojokerto City Government does not have direct authority to name roads in its area. There is a lack of normative legal regulations in regulating transitional conditions in the naming of landforms, especially roads. The legality of naming roads belonging to the Mojokerto city government can be questioned due to the absence of statutory norms that order local governments to form legal products related to street naming.

This research aims to explain the management control of public street lighting (PJU) in Tanjungpinang City. PJU is an important element in creating safety and comfort for the community in economic, social and traffic activities. However, not all areas in Tanjungpinang have been covered by PJU facilities, and many PJUs are damaged. This research uses the control theory by T. Hani Handoko (2010) which consists of 1) Feedforward control, 2) Concurrent control, and 3) Feedback control. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques of observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that PJU management control in Tanjungpinang City was not optimal. In feedforward control, there are obstacles such as the lack of community participation in PJU development planning. In concurrent control, coordination between the community, the Housing, Settlement Areas, Cleanliness and Parks Office, consultants, PLN, and contractors has not been optimal. While in feedback control, the lack of community participation in reporting damage and maintenance of PJU is only done based on reports or surveys with priority on protocol roads. Routine supervision is limited due to limited human resources, and response to public complaints is slow. This study concludes that the improvement of PJU management requires good planning and active community participation.

Misyar marriage is a form of marriage that emerged in Muslim society, where both parties agree to waive some of the rights and obligations that usually exist in traditional marriages, such as maintenance and housing. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of Misyar marriage from the perspective of Islamic law, the objectives of sharia (maqashid asy-syari’ah), and its impact in social and moral contexts. The study was conducted using a normative approach to sources of Islamic law, such as the Qur'an, hadith, and the views of contemporary scholars. The results of the study indicate that Misyar marriage is valid according to sharia because it fulfills the pillars and requirements of marriage, such as ijab, qabul, guardian, witnesses, and dowry. However, scholars have different opinions regarding its law. Yusuf Qardhawi and Wahbah Zuhaili allow Misyar marriage on the condition that the wife is willing to waive her rights, while Muhammad Az-Zuhaili forbids it because it is considered contrary to the main purpose of marriage, which is to build a harmonious, just, and affectionate family. Meanwhile, Ibn Uthaymeen took a tawaqquf (cautious) position because even though it is valid, Misyar marriage has the potential to deviate from the maqashid asy-syari’ah. This study concludes that although Misyar marriage can be a pragmatic solution in certain situations, such as to meet biological needs or certain social conditions, this practice tends to raise ethical issues, injustice, and harm women. Therefore, it is recommended that couples considering Misyar marriage understand its implications in depth and seek solutions that are more in line with the principles of justice and harmony in Islam.

This research employs a qualitative method using a literature review and observation approach, analyzing official documents, journals, and internship data. The findings reveal that SOP implementation at Rusunawa Wonocolo has not been fully effective or efficient. This is evidenced by inconsistencies between written procedures and field practices, limited adoption of digital technology, and a lack of transparency in the tenant selection process. Key challenges include budget constraints, reliance on manual methods, and insufficient staff training. This study recommends developing technology-based applications, such as the E-Rusun model implemented in Surabaya, to enhance service efficiency, transparency, and accountability. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for improving public housing management and supporting the development of e-government-based public services in Sidoarjo Regency.

The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach based on secondary data from literature and empirical reports. The results show that crowdfunding mobilizes community funds for environmental projects such as mangrove conservation in Kalimantan, significantly reducing carbon emissions. Impact investing supports strategic sectors like Islamic fintech and affordable housing, creating both social and financial impact. Zakat contributes to improved welfare through skills training and healthcare services, while waqf supports the development of sustainable social infrastructure. However, the management of zakat and waqf faces challenges in transparency and public participation. This study bridges the literature gap with empirical evidence highlighting the effectiveness of alternative financing in sustainable development. The conclusion emphasizes the need for a strategic integration of alternative financing to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals in an inclusive manner.

Traditional doors usually consist of a housing or padlock and a flip key to open it. Usually found on office or mall doors, doors can be made more practical. The door will open automatically if there is physical energy (stimulus) that moves it. For example, when someone wants to enter the room, the door will automatically open. Doors like this are designed using automatic control using embedded system equipment. This automatic door system can be designed using automatic control combined with PIR sensors and servo motors. In terms of input equipment, a PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) sensor is used which will detect humans approaching the door. This PIR sensor will send a signal to the Arduino process unit which contains a microcontroller chip. This microcontroller will send the processed data to the servo motor, so that it can open or close the door automatically.

In the current era, land is a basic need that is extremely important and meaningful in human life, particularly as a place to live, work, farm, or conduct various economic activities. With the rapidly growing population, the demand for residential land is also increasing. The population growth that is not matched by land availability creates significant pressure in the property market, leading to the development of new housing and settlements, both in urban and suburban areas. However, due to the increasingly limited availability of habitable land, this often triggers intense competition among individuals or parties with vested interests in obtaining land rights. The desire to own land has become very strong, as nowadays, land is not only used as a residence but also as a valuable resource. This often causes land disputes where the parties involved feel disadvantaged, either due to overlapping ownership, unclear land status claims, or differences in land use allocation. Due to the increasingly complex issues, the Land Office of Kediri City provides an alternative solution for boundary dispute resolution, namely mediation. This practice is an effort to resolve land conflicts peacefully and efficiently. Land disputes are becoming more complex and prolonged, often involving the government, businesses, and local residents. Moreover, land-related issues are frequently associated with unclear administration, weak law enforcement, or differing interpretations of existing regulations. As a result, not only does it impact the individuals involved, but it can also affect social and economic stability in a region. To address these issues, a more structured and transparent approach to land distribution and management is required. The government and society must work together to ensure fair and clear land distribution and provide wise solutions to disputes based on the principles of social justice. Mediation offers a more flexible approach compared to litigation by prioritizing dialogue among disputing parties. In this context, mediation helps alleviate tensions and create mutually beneficial solutions, enabling faster and more cost-effective processes. This study analyzes the effectiveness of mediation practices in reducing the number of disputes brought to court and assesses public perceptions of this resolution method. The results show that mediation can increase the satisfaction of the parties involved and promote stability in land ownership.
