Psychological well-being in the workplace and educational environment is influenced not only by policies and facilities but also by psychological approaches that touch on individuals' mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. This study aims to explain how psychological approaches can enhance well-being and motivation. The results of the study show that integrating Islamic educational values, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence can help individuals manage stress, increase self-confidence, and strengthen the meaning of life. In addition, adjusting learning materials to the needs of students also plays a role in supporting mental health. Individual motivation can be increased through approaches that align with psychological needs, such as fulfilling basic needs, providing rewards, and supporting autonomy and social relationships. The implementation of strategies such as open communication, good leadership, and a comfortable work environment also contributes to increasing motivation and performance. Thus, the psychological approach has an important role in creating a healthy, productive, and sustainable educational and organizational environment.

This study aims to examine the application of an expository approach in the scriptwriting of the documentary film "Jejak Rasa," which highlights Southern Chinese cuisine in Bandung as a representation of cultural acculturation. The background of this research is based on the declining interest of the younger generation in traditional culinary arts due to the influence of globalization and social media trends. The methods used included literature research, field observations, and interviews with relevant sources, such as culinary entrepreneurs and museum officials. The results show that the expository approach is effective in conveying information systematically, factually, and easily understood through the use of voice-over narration as the main direction of the story. Furthermore, the use of an implied first-person perspective creates an emotional connection between the audience and the material presented. This documentary serves not only as an information medium but also as a means of education and preservation of Peranakan Chinese culinary culture. By combining visual elements, narrative, and interviews, this documentary comprehensively presents historical, social, and cultural values. Therefore, this work is expected to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving culinary cultural heritage amidst modern developments.

A scriptwriter is the individual responsible for organizing and designing the storyline as the foundation for the documentary video production process. In the production of the documentary video “Bisakah Aku Kembali?”, the scriptwriter plays a crucial role in processing facts and research data into a structured narrative, thereby delivering messages informatively while building emotional resonance with the audience. The purpose of this report is to explain the narrative script planning process and describe the application of the three-act structure as the primary approach in building the storyline. The writing method used is descriptive through the stages of research, observation, and interviews, processing field facts into a structured narrative. Synthesis of the work was carried out by applying the three-act structure, consisting of Act I (setup) to introduce the issue and context of rehabilitation, Act II (confrontation) to develop conflict through medical realities and animal behavior during rehabilitation, and Act III (resolution) to present the conclusion and reflection on the relationship between humans and nature. In conclusion, documentary script planning using a narrative approach and a three-act structure is capable of producing a coherent, informative, and reflective storyline in conveying conservation messages regarding the rehabilitation of the Javan Slow Loris as a protected species.

This study examines the directing approach in portraying the process of character formation through a video feature titled “Ballet: Repetitive Steps, a Formed Self.” The research is grounded in the phenomenon of instant culture in contemporary digital society, which tends to prioritize rapid outcomes over gradual processes. The objective of this study is to explore how directing strategies can construct repetitive ballet training as a meaningful visual narrative that reflects discipline, consistency, and perseverance. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a practice-based approach, where data are collected through observation, documentation, and the creative production process. The findings indicate that directing elements, including shot composition, rhythm, and audio-visual integration, play a significant role in transforming repetitive movements into a dynamic and progressive narrative. Repetition is not merely presented as a technical exercise but as a symbolic process of character development. The study also reveals that visual storytelling can effectively communicate reflective meanings and engage audiences emotionally. The implication of this research suggests that audiovisual works, particularly video features, can serve as a medium to challenge instant-oriented perspectives by emphasizing the value of process in personal development.

The rapid growth of digital marketplaces has significantly reshaped consumption behavior among university students. Promotional strategies based on scarcity and urgency, such as flash sales, limited-time discounts, and countdown timers, are designed to induce psychological pressure, potentially triggering Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control and FoMO among university students who use digital marketplaces. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 70 undergraduate students selected through accidental sampling. Self-control was measured using the Brief Self-Control Scale, while FoMO was assessed using an adapted Online FoMO Scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation after fulfilling normality assumptions. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between self-control and FoMO (r = –0.522, p < .001), indicating that individuals with higher self-control tend to experience lower levels of FoMO in marketplace contexts. These findings highlight the role of self-regulation as a protective factor against emotionally driven consumption behavior. This study contributes to the literature on digital consumer psychology by extending the concept of FoMO beyond social interaction into economic decision-making contexts. Strengthening self-control is therefore essential in helping individuals manage psychological pressure arising from urgency-based marketing strategies.

Polygamy remains a controversial issue in Indonesia, involving legal, religious, and social dimensions. This study aims to analyze the social, psychological, and economic impacts of polygamy on wives and children. Using a qualitative library research approach, the study examines primary sources, including Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law, as well as relevant scientific literature and journal articles. The findings indicate that although Indonesian law permits polygamy under strict conditions, such as the wife's consent and the husband's ability to act fairly, these requirements are often difficult to fulfill in practice. Psychologically, wives frequently experience jealousy, emotional stress, depression, and feelings of injustice. Economically, polygamy may lead to the division of family resources, reducing the welfare of wives and children. Children may also experience emotional difficulties due to limited parental attention, conflicts among siblings, and social stigma. These impacts can affect family harmony and child development. Therefore, stronger legal supervision and public education are needed to ensure the protection of women's and children's rights and to minimize the negative consequences of irresponsible polygamous practices.

The number of cases of sexual violence against children in Indonesia remains alarming, particularly among elementary school-aged children. One factor contributing to children's high vulnerability is a lack of understanding of body boundaries and self-protection. Furthermore, education about the body and self-protection is often considered taboo, resulting in inadequate communication with children. This article discusses the application of a positive narrative approach in writing an educational animation script entitled "Aku Jaga Tubuhku" (I Take Care of My Body) as a self-protection literacy medium for children aged 6–9 years. The research used a descriptive method, outlining the script design process through pre-production, production, and post-production stages. The positive narrative approach was implemented through the development of story, dialogue, characters, and conflict that emphasize child empowerment without creating excessive fear. The results indicate that this approach can help children understand the concepts of body boundaries, safe touch, and unsafe touch in a more concrete and emotionally secure manner. The integration of song elements as memory aids also strengthens children's understanding and retention of the message. Thus, writing an animation script based on a positive narrative can be an effective educational communication strategy for conveying self-protection literacy to elementary school-aged children.

This study aims to explore the meaning of service excellence from the perspective of hotel employees at Kinasih Resort Depok, Indonesia. Most existing research on service excellence has focused on guest satisfaction, leaving the subjective experiences of employees as service providers underexplored. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation from five purposively selected informants across the F&B Service, Housekeeping, Front Office, Human Resources, and management departments. Data analysis followed Moustakas's phenomenological procedure encompassing epoché, horizonalization, theme clustering, and essence description. Findings reveal that employees construct layered meanings of service excellence according to their hierarchical positions: frontline workers emphasize friendliness and responsiveness, supervisors emphasize speed and problem resolution, while management frames it as a holistic service ethos encompassing internal relationships. Emotional labor emerged as an inevitable dimension managed through collaboration, prioritization, and de-escalation strategies. Organizational factors including training systems, communicative leadership, guest feedback-based evaluation, and managerial attention to employee well-being demonstrably shape how employees internalize service excellence values. This study contributes to employee-centered literature on service excellence and offers practical implications for human resource development in resort contexts.

This study examines the effectiveness of legal protection for victims of cyberbullying in Indonesia from a victimological perspective. The rapid development of information technology and social media has led to an increase in cyberbullying cases, which significantly impact victims psychologically, socially, and emotionally. However, existing legal protections are often considered inadequate in addressing the needs of victims. This research aims to analyze the existing legal framework, evaluate its effectiveness, and assess the position of victims within the criminal justice system. The method used is normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and victimological approaches, relying on secondary data from relevant legal literature and scientific journals. The findings indicate that although regulations such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) provide a legal basis, their implementation remains ineffective due to weak law enforcement, lack of victim-oriented approaches, and limited awareness of victims’ rights. Therefore, strengthening victim protection through a victimological approach, legal reform, and the application of restorative justice is necessary to ensure justice and recovery for victims.

This reflective autoethnographic study explores the lived experience of being an only child caring for an elderly mother with Parkinson's disease while working as a full-time lecturer. The research aims to understand how this dual role affects the caregiver's mental health, work productivity, and relationship with the mother. Using a reflective autoethnographic approach based on Ellis, data were collected through three techniques: autobiographical narratives and memos, analysis of personal artifacts (work schedules, medical records, photographs), and an integrated self-interview. Thematic-reflective analysis revealed three main themes. First, structural loneliness describes the profound isolation resulting from having no sibling to share physical, emotional, and decisional responsibilities, which informal support cannot easily remedy. Second, stealth strategies at work refer to hidden tactics such as leaving early without disclosure, using breaks to check on the mother, and concealing caregiving struggles to avoid being perceived as less committed or losing professional opportunities. Third, fought for bonds shows that despite exhaustion and initial frustration, the caregiver’s relationship with her mother deepened through daily effort, patience, and reframing caregiving as meaningful devotion, a process aligned with filial maturity. The findings highlight the unique pressures faced by only-child working caregivers, including invisible productivity loss and the inadequacy of general social support. Practical implications for employers, social workers, and policymakers are discussed. This study contributes a rich first-person account to the underexplored area of only-child caregiving and offers recommendations for workplace cultural change, targeted support groups, and subsidized respite services.

This study aims to examine Deuteronomy 22:13-30 using a hermeneutic approach and relate it to the current level of awareness of early marriage among Christian congregations. The method used was a qualitative literature study, with the Bible as the primary source, supplemented by various related theological literature. The results indicate that this section of the text contains important theological values, such as holiness, justice, responsibility, and respect for human dignity, especially women, in the context of marriage. Although this text originates from the patriarchal culture of ancient Israel, its principles remain relevant in today's context. Regarding the phenomenon of early marriage, it was found that this practice often occurs without adequate preparation, whether emotional, spiritual, or economic, and thus risks causing various problems in the household. Therefore, the church has a responsibility to raise congregational awareness through faith formation, premarital education, and contextual pastoral care. This study confirms that marriage is a life calling that requires maturity and serious commitment, not simply a solution to social problems.

This study aims to analyze the visual appeal of anime characters through a case study of cosplayers in Surabaya. The focus of this research is to identify the factors that motivate cosplayers to idolize anime characters and to describe the visual elements that contribute to the formation of such appeal. This study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaire distribution to 30 active cosplayers aged 18–20 who are members of cosplay communities in Surabaya. The collected data were analyzed using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach, which emphasizes the relationship between sign, object, and interpretant in the process of visual meaning-making. The results indicate that the appeal of anime characters is not solely influenced by visual aspects but also by emotional attachment formed through character representation. Specifically, facial features (66.7%) and body gestures (33.3%) are the dominant factors influencing cosplayers’ preferences, compared to other visual elements such as color, costume, and hair details. The semiotic analysis reveals that visual elements in cosplay function as a system of signs that represent character identity while simultaneously constructing aesthetic, emotional, and narrative meanings for the audience.
