This study explores the transformative role of youth empowerment through green economy initiatives, specifically focusing on the management of a waste bank in Kedungsekar Village, Indonesia. Facing mounting environmental challenges such as waste accumulation and pollution, the local community sought sustainable solutions by integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions. The involvement of youth, characterized by creativity, digital skills, and strong social networks, has been pivotal in driving this transformation. The waste bank functions as a social innovation that not only addresses waste management issues but also generates economic opportunities through circular economy practices. By actively participating in waste segregation, collection, and sale, youth have acquired operational and financial skills, enabling them to become entrepreneurs and community leaders. This initiative has shifted youth from passive recipients to active agents of change, fostering community awareness and environmental responsibility. Employing qualitative case study methods, including interviews, observations, and document analysis, this research highlights how integrated efforts rooted in environmental sustainability and community participation can catalyze socio-economic growth. The theoretical framework draws on the concepts of green economy, youth empowerment, and social innovation, illustrating how these pillars are interconnected in fostering sustainable development. Findings reveal that the green economy approach, facilitated by youth engagement, enhances local resilience, creates employment, and promotes environmental conservation. This case exemplifies the potential of grassroots initiatives in achieving sustainable transformation at the village level, serving as a model for other rural communities facing similar environmental and socio-economic issues. The study underscores the importance of empowering youth as key drivers in the transition towards sustainable and inclusive development.

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Kampung Kelam Pagi, Tanjungpinang City, focused on strengthening Mencalok MSMEs through a rebranding strategy. A participatory approach was used to engage the community at every stage, from observation, planning, and implementation to evaluation. The activities included the creation of a new logo, product packaging improvements, and the facilitation of Business Identification Number (NIB) registration for MSME actors. The results showed significant improvements in the product's visual identity, business legality, and market value of Mencalok in local and regional markets. Rebranding also provided additional benefits, such as legal recognition, access to government programs, financing opportunities, and the promotion of traditional culinary culture. The program empowered women by enhancing their managerial skills and fostering economic independence. In addition to these efforts, digital marketing strategies were introduced, helping the MSMEs reach a broader audience and improve their online presence. Product diversification was also recommended to strengthen competitiveness and ensure long-term business sustainability. These findings highlight that rebranding is not merely a visual change but a strategic tool that enhances the economic, social, and cultural value of traditional MSMEs. By integrating modern business practices with local cultural heritage, this initiative not only improved business outcomes but also contributed to the preservation and promotion of regional traditions.

This community service activity was carried out with the primary objective of improving the financial literacy of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pesawaran Regency. Financial literacy is considered a fundamental aspect in maintaining business continuity, as it is directly related to the ability of business actors to manage income, record transactions regularly, develop short-term and long-term financial plans, and utilize digital technology as a supporting tool. Low financial literacy is often an obstacle to the development of MSMEs, so interventions in the form of structured training and mentoring are essential. The activity method includes several stages, namely a pre-test to measure initial conditions, interactive delivery of training materials, direct practice using digital financial applications, and a post-test to disseminate learning outcomes. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in all measured indicators. Basic financial literacy increased by 10.16 points, financial recording skills increased by 14.47 points, the ability to prepare financial plans increased by 12.43 points, while financial digitalization experienced the highest performance with an increase of 18.12 points. These findings confirm that financial literacy training programs not only improve conceptual knowledge but also develop the practical skills essential for MSMEs to face the challenges of the modern economic era. This increased understanding and skills are expected to make Pesawaran MSMEs more independent, adaptable to digital technology developments, and more competitive.

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial technology, risk tolerance, return expectation, and financial literacy on student investment decisions, with a specific focus on students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Budi Luhur University, Jakarta. The increasing growth of young investors in Indonesia, particularly from Generation Z, emphasizes the urgency of understanding the behavioral and technological factors that shape their financial decision-making. The research employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling by distributing online questionnaires to 100 executive class students, calculated using Slovin’s formula. Data collection was supported by literature reviews and documentation, while analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26 and Microsoft Excel 2019. The results reveal that financial technology, return expectation, and financial literacy each have a positive and significant effect on student investment decisions. In contrast, risk tolerance shows a significant negative effect, suggesting that higher risk tolerance does not necessarily translate into better decision-making among students. These findings highlight the complex interplay of behavioral and cognitive factors in shaping investment choices. The study contributes to the field of behavioral finance and provides practical implications for financial education, suggesting the need for stronger integration of financial literacy programs and responsible fintech usage among young investors. In conclusion, enhancing financial knowledge and aligning return expectations are critical strategies to improve rational investment behavior in the digital era.

This study examines the social, economic, and tourism impacts on the lives of the community in Penglipuran Tourism Village. The research highlights that the growth of tourism significantly increases local income by approximately 150–300%, fosters the creation of new business opportunities, and contributes to the preservation of Balinese culture and traditions. Tourism development not only strengthens the village’s cultural identity but also enhances social cohesion through community-based tourism initiatives. In addition, the adoption of digital technologies, such as cashless payment systems and electronic ticketing, has improved transaction efficiency, transparency, and market expansion, while also providing better services for visitors. Despite these benefits, several challenges have emerged, including growing environmental pressures, waste management issues, and the potential widening of economic inequality between residents directly involved in tourism and those who are not. These challenges indicate that tourism development can also create socio-economic gaps and place strains on the village’s natural resources if not managed carefully. Therefore, sustainable tourism management becomes crucial in balancing cultural preservation, economic equity, and environmental protection. This study suggests that policies integrating community participation, equitable economic distribution, and environmental sustainability are essential to ensure long-term positive impacts. Ultimately, Penglipuran Tourism Village can serve as a model for sustainable rural tourism development in Indonesia and beyond.
This study analyzes the impact of implementing Indonesia’s Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) on cybersecurity in the e-business sector. Using a normative qualitative approach through literature analysis, this research examines the regulation’s implications for technical infrastructure, compliance procedures, and human resource capacity development within e-business operations. The findings indicate that although the PDP Law provides a comprehensive legal framework and human-centered principles for personal data protection, its implementation faces technical, operational, and economic challenges, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These challenges include limited security infrastructure, lack of technical expertise, and high investment costs. Nevertheless, adopting strategies such as multi-layer security architecture, zero-trust security model, privacy by design, and strengthening human resource capacity can enhance consumer trust, industry credibility, and the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s e-business sector. This study contributes to the literature by bridging the gap between personal data protection regulation and cybersecurity practices while offering strategic recommendations for both business actors and regulators.
Digital technology chance in Indonesia presents both occasions and constraint for the development of Islamic economics, particularly in implementing Islamic business strategies through e-commerce. The adoption of digital technology, including Islamic fintech and halal e-commerce, has expanded market access, improved efficiency, and strengthened MSME competitiveness while adhering to sharia principles. This study employs a qualitative method using library research and the maqāshid shariah framework to examine the role of digital innovations such as fintech and blockchain in supporting Islamic entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that Islamic business strategies in the digital era have the potential to broaden international market reach, enhance transaction clarity, and reinforce compliance with sharia principles. Furthermore, digital innovation aligns with maqāshid shariah objectives, focusing on the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. However, challenges remain, including low digital literacy, complex sharia regulations, and the risk of platform misuse. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration, the enhancement of digital and Islamic economic literacy, and strengthening the role of sharia e-commerce supervisory bodies are essential to build a fair and sustainable business ecosystem. With these strategic measures, digital technology integration can serve as a key instrument in strengthening the ummah’s economy, promoting financial inclusion, and positioning Indonesia as a global hub for Islamic economics.
This study aims to analyze the development of the creative economy through the utilization of textile waste, particularly patchwork fabric, by leveraging digital platforms. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research involved creative entrepreneurs who transform patchwork waste into economically valuable products, such as bags, wallets, accessories, and home decorations. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document studies, and then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that patchwork fabric waste can be successfully converted into high-value creative products through innovative designs and diversification strategies. Furthermore, the adoption of digital platforms, including social media and online marketplaces, plays a pivotal role in product promotion, enhancing brand awareness, and expanding market reach beyond local boundaries. This integration not only provides economic benefits, such as increased income for entrepreneurs and the creation of new job opportunities, but also fosters social and environmental impacts, including raising community awareness of sustainable waste management practices. The study emphasizes that the creative transformation of textile waste contributes to circular economy principles, supporting resource efficiency and reducing environmental burden. In conclusion, the integration of creativity, innovation, and digital technology utilization emerges as a sustainable strategy for developing a creative economy based on waste materials. These findings provide insights for entrepreneurs, policymakers, and communities in promoting environmentally friendly business models while simultaneously driving inclusive economic growth.
This research aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on Liveworksheet, integrated with Quizwhizzer, for teaching economic activities in elementary school. The background of this study stems from the limited variation in learning activities and the underutilization of digital technology in the learning process at schools. To address these problems, the study seeks to produce innovative, interactive, and easily accessible learning media that can support student engagement and improve learning outcomes. The development process follows the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the analysis stage, the needs of students and teachers were identified. The design and development stages involved creating E-LKPD content integrated with Liveworksheet and interactive quizzes using Quizwhizzer. The implementation was carried out through classroom trials, followed by evaluation to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of the product. Data collection was conducted through expert validation (media, material, and language experts) and questionnaire responses from both teachers and students. The validation results indicated that the E-LKPD developed is of excellent quality, with a score of 90% from media experts, 98% from material experts, and 96% from linguists. The student trial also produced highly positive results, with a feasibility score of 83%, reflecting strong student enthusiasm and acceptance of the media. Teachers also responded positively to the practicality and clarity of the content. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD integrated with Quizwhizzer is highly feasible and effective for use in teaching economic activities at SD Negeri 7 Kampungdalem. This learning media is expected to increase students' interest, motivation, and active participation, while also optimizing the role of technology in supporting a more engaging and meaningful learning experience in the classroom.
This study aims to analyze the development process of a creative economy based on bead waste and the use of digital platforms as a marketing medium to increase product competitiveness. The background of the study is based on the phenomenon of increasing volumes of waste that have not been optimally managed and the low skills of business actors in utilizing digital technology. The research method used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and literature studies, with informants consisting of business actors, community leaders, representatives of relevant agencies, and consumers. The results of the study indicate that processing waste into beads not only reduces environmental impacts but also opens up creative business opportunities with high economic value. The use of digital platforms has proven effective in expanding market reach, improving branding, and driving sales, although there are still obstacles in the skills of digital entrepreneurs. This study recommends strengthening digital marketing capacity and ongoing mentoring for creative waste-based entrepreneurs to achieve economic and environmental sustainability. In addition, synergy between business actors, the government, and local communities is a crucial factor in supporting the development of a waste-based creative economy. The involvement of local governments through entrepreneurship training and facilitating access to technology is essential to address the challenge of limited digital capabilities of entrepreneurs. Local communities also play a role in maintaining sustainable production and encouraging innovation in bead designs based on local culture to add value and attract market share. This collaboration can create a conducive ecosystem for the growth of creative small and medium enterprises (SMEs), while strengthening local identity and increasing product competitiveness in national and global markets. Thus, developing a waste-based creative economy and utilizing digital marketing are relevant innovative strategies in addressing current economic and environmental challenges.

Rural economic development in underdeveloped areas requires a strategic approach that integrates local potential, agricultural infrastructure, and appropriate technology (AT) to foster inclusive and sustainable growth. This study aims to analyze rural economic development strategies through a literature review and thematic synthesis of relevant studies. The findings reveal that optimizing local potential, such as natural and socio-cultural village resources, can enhance community economic self-reliance. Strengthening agricultural infrastructure, especially the construction of farm roads, significantly improves distribution efficiency and farmer income. The application of appropriate technology in agriculture, small enterprises, education, and healthcare further accelerates economic and social transformation in rural areas. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited basic infrastructure, digital gaps, and low technological literacy require collaborative solutions. Therefore, development strategies based on local potential, functional infrastructure, and technological innovation are essential to building independent, productive, and competitive rural communities.
