The aim of this research is to describe the potential of various traditions and culture of the community as superior tourism in addition to natural potential, coastal tourism and small islands in the Karimunjawa Islands which are administratively in the Karimunjawa sub-district.  The diversity of cultural arts, house buildings and philosophies, traditional customs, marriage and traditional technology in society is a potential for excellence, cultural wealth both in the form of objects and intangible culture (folklore, mythology, stories, pencak silat, sound arts and religious rites, especially religion Islam). Likewise, the development of the creative economy (local culinary, processed staple foods and others). This superior potential is a complement to the development of village tourism in Karimunjawa for both domestic and foreign tourists.

Every country has distinctive characteristics that become selling points in terms of economy and infrastructure, including small regions such as districts, sub-districts, villages, and hamlets that need to be developed to be more widely known. These distinctive values, including natural potential, plantation products, micro-businesses, tourism sectors, and arts, are important for regional existence. Carangwulung Village in Wonosalam Sub-district, Jombang Regency, has high natural potential such as durian, salak and coffee. Located in the highlands, the village excels in plantations. The tourism sector stands out with its beautiful environment and friendly people, making it an ideal destination for tourists. Plantation products are processed into high-value products through MSME businesses that prioritize quality. Arts potential, such as Gamelan, Jaranan, and Remo Dance, are also preserved. The community service program focused on the development of arts and tourism in Carangwulung Village, including the "Selepas Senja" art performance and tourism. The research used a qualitative descriptive methodology, collecting data through observation, interviews and FGDs. The findings show the importance of preserving and promoting local coffee culture and traditional arts to attract tourists. The eco-tour involved 10 UPN "Veteran" East Java students and the local community.

Tourism is one of the sectors that is growing rapidly in Indonesia and is a major contributor to the country's foreign exchange. Tourism development through tourist villages, such as the Bilebante Green Tourism Village in West Nusa Tenggara, is an effective strategy for improving the local economy and preserving cultural traditions. This research aims to identify and analyze creative economy-based tourism development strategies in the Bilebante Green Tourism Village. The theory used is rational choice which was coined by James S Coleman. The research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological design. The data collection technique is carried out in several processes, namely observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in order to obtain valid data. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Informants consisted of community leaders, village managers, culinary traders and tour guides. The results of this research focus on 2 aspects, namely tourism development and creative economic factors as drivers of employment opportunities. The green tourism village of Bilebante is able to develop because actors (tourism managers) are able to map resources well so that this has implications for the right development choices. Local people in this case are also able to choose jobs freely based on the skills resources they have.

Pakis Village is one of the areas in Jember Regency that has quite extensive plantation land and there are still many agricultural activities carried out by the community in their daily lives. The existence of ties between durian farmers, tourism managers, and pioneers of durian tourism villages will certainly lead to gradual interaction called embeddedness. Oversocialized arises due to a shared awareness in which durian farmers and managers both want to benefit from what they are trying to do as a form of meeting individual economic needs, while undersocialized arises due to the lack of interaction carried out by durian farmers and managers with pioneers during commodity buying and selling activities. The results of this study indicate the existence of oversocialized and undersocialized in Durian Tourism Pakis Village, Panti District, Jember Regency.
