This study analyzes the regulatory gaps in digital forensics regarding the handling of natural resource crimes and the state’s constitutional responsibilities following the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2024. Modern natural resource crimes, such as illegal logging and illegal mining, have evolved to leverage digital technology, leaving complex electronic traces in the form of GPS data and digital documents. However, Indonesia still faces procedural gaps in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), unclear technical standards (SNI 27037:2014 is voluntary in nature), and conflicts between the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE) and sectoral NRE laws. This normative legal study employs legislative, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The research findings indicate that the absence of digital forensic authentication standards has fatal implications, as evidenced by the Sidoarjo District Court Decision No. 488/Pid.B/2024/PN Sda, which rejected electronic evidence. This situation constitutes state negligence (staatsverzuim) that violates Article 1(3) and Article 33(3) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The study recommends the development of standard digital forensic procedures, the acceleration of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation, and the harmonization of sectoral regulations

The phenomenon of celebrations in rural communities is currently experiencing a significant cultural shift, marked by the dominance of modern entertainment and the rise of alcohol consumption. This phenomenon indicates a degradation of socio-Islamic values and a weakening of social control based on religious and customary norms. This study aims to analyze the transformation of socio-Islamic values in the practice of celebrations accompanied by entertainment and alcohol consumption in rural environments. Using a qualitative approach using a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes stages of condensation, data presentation, and verification of conclusions. The results reveal that the meaning of celebrations has shifted from a socio-religious ritual to an arena for displaying social status and mere entertainment. The practice of alcohol consumption has begun to normalize, particularly among young people, driven by the tide of modernization, pressures of social prestige, and the waning authority of religious and traditional leaders. This study concludes that celebrations have become a space for contestation between tradition, Islamic values, and modernity, impacting fundamentally the social structure of rural communities.

This study analyzes signs and symbols in Katherine Mansfield’s short story “The Doll’s House” (1922) using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. The study is descriptive qualitative in nature, employing data collection techniques such as close reading and note-taking. The analysis was conducted by classifying signs based on Peirce’s theory, icons, index, and symbols, through the triadic model (representamen, object, interpretant). The results of the analysis indicate that the doll’s house functions as both an icon and a symbol of social status and the false luxury of the upper class. Elements such as the smell of paint and the appearance of the Kelvey sisters serve as indices of social inequality. Meanwhile, the small lamp is the strongest symbol representing hope, warmth, and the possibility of transcending social class boundaries. Through this short story, Mansfield critiques class prejudices learned from childhood while conveying a message of empathy across social classes.

This study aims to describe the dynamics of students’ social relationships using sociometric techniques within the context of guidance and counseling services. Social relationships are an essential aspect of individual development, particularly for guidance and counseling students who are expected to possess strong interpersonal skills as future counselors. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a sociometric questionnaire covering aspects of collaborative learning, group work, understanding difficult materials, and emotional support. The participants consisted of 21 students from the Guidance and Counseling study program, selected using a total sampling technique. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution of peer selection and presented in the form of a sociometric matrix and sociogram to facilitate the interpretation of social interaction patterns within the group. The findings revealed that social relationships were not evenly distributed but tended to be concentrated on certain individuals. Some students demonstrated high levels of selection, indicating their role as central figures in both academic and emotional interactions, while others showed low levels of selection, suggesting potential social isolation. These findings indicate that group dynamics are influenced by social skills, academic competence, and individual empathy. Therefore, guidance and counseling services play a crucial role in improving the quality of students’ social interactions through appropriate interventions, such as group guidance and social skills training. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for developing more effective and inclusive guidance and counseling services.
