Posyandu for the elderly is a form of public health service that aims to improve the health and quality of life of the elderly. However, the utilization rate of Posyandu for the elderly is often not optimal. One of the influencing factors is family support. Family support is a form of assistance provided directly by the family to the elderly, including informational, emotional, instrumental, and appreciation. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support for the elderly and the utilization of Posyandu for the elderly. The design or method of this study uses an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional study method approach. The population in this study were elderly people who live in the Lembang Community Health Center Working Area with a sample of 80 respondents based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Data collection using questionnaires and observations. Univariate analysis is presented using a frequency distribution table while Bivariate analysis uses a chi-square test. The final result obtained a P value = 0.000 with a significant value of α = 0.005 through the Chi-square test. The spread of infectious diseases has become a critical issue in public health, requiring effective mathematical models to understand and control their dynamics. This study aims to develop a mathematical model based on differential equations to analyze the transmission patterns of infectious diseases. By dividing the population into distinct compartments—susceptible, infected, and recovered—this model provides a framework to study disease progression. The methodology involves formulating a system of ordinary differential equations to represent interactions among these compartments, followed by numerical simulations to explore key parameters influencing disease spread. The findings reveal significant insights into the role of infection rate, recovery rate, and basic reproduction number in determining the outbreak's intensity and duration. These results highlight potential strategies for intervention, including vaccination and quarantine measures, to mitigate the impact of infectious diseases. The proposed model serves as a valuable tool for researchers and policymakers to predict and manage disease outbreaks, offering practical implications for public health planning.

The rapid growth of healthcare services has significantly increased the generation of medical waste, posing serious risks to environmental and public health, particularly through water quality contamination. This study examines global trends in medical waste management and proposes a hybrid analytical framework combining bibliometric analysis using SCIMAT and predictive modeling based on artificial neural networks implemented in Orange. Bibliometric mapping was employed to identify dominant research themes, temporal evolution, and knowledge gaps in medical waste and water contamination studies from 2000 to 2023. Subsequently, a neural network model was developed to predict potential water quality deterioration associated with mismanaged medical waste, using simulated environmental indicators. The results reveal a strong research focus on incineration, infection control, and hazardous waste, while predictive modeling of water contamination remains underexplored. The proposed hybrid approach demonstrates high predictive accuracy and offers a robust decision-support tool for environmental health policy. This study contributes methodologically and substantively to sustainable medical waste management and water resource protection.
