Integration between Islamic economy and green economy in the context of sustainable development. In this modern era, environmental challenges are increasingly pressing, and a holistic approach is needed to overcome these problems. The concept of maqashid sharia, which includes the protection of religion, life, reason, property and descendants, provides a comprehensive framework for integrating social, economic and environmental aspects in development. Education and environmental awareness based on Islamic values are one of the important pillars in creating a society that cares about the environment. Several mosques in Indonesia have implemented environmentally friendly principles by optimizing the use of renewable energy and managing waste effectively. This shows that religious institutions can play an active role in supporting the green economy. However, there are still many challenges faced in implementing a green economy in Indonesia, including a lack of environmental literacy in society and human exploitation of other humans. Therefore, this paper aims to find strategies and recommendations that can be implemented to integrate Islamic economics within a sustainable development framework, so as to create synergy between economic growth, social welfare and environmental preservation. Therefore, it is hoped that this paper can contribute to the moral and material development of Islamic society and encourage active participation in environmental conservation efforts. Criticism and suggestions from readers are highly welcomed for future improvements.

Waste is leftover material that is considered to have no economic value, but its existence cannot be avoided in people's social life. In Karanglangon Hamlet, the increase in population that occurs every year increases the volume of waste produced. As the population increases, household waste production and other activities also increase, thereby exacerbating waste management problems in the region. If not managed properly, the increasing amount of waste can have various negative impacts, both on public health and the surrounding environment, such as air, land and water pollution. This problem demands more attention from various parties to find appropriate and sustainable solutions. This research aims to identify in more depth the problems related to waste management at the Dusun Karanglangon TPS using the PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach method. The research results revealed that the condition of the waste at the TPS had a significant negative impact on the surrounding environment. The main causes are limited facilities, minimal budgets, and inadequate waste management standards, resulting in the accumulation of waste and increasingly severe environmental pollution.

The increase in population has an impact on increasing waste, including cooking oil waste known as used cooking oil. This used cooking oil is not always thrown away, but can also be reused. However, improper disposal of waste cooking oil can cause environmental problems. Used cooking oil is a type of waste that can pollute the environment by increasing COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) levels in the water. Apart from that, this oil can also cause an unpleasant odor due to the biological degradation process. Currently, used cooking oil is often thrown directly into the drain. This research was conducted in Wonorejo Village, Surabaya, with data collection methods in the form of questionnaires, field observations and interviews as primary data, as well as a general description of the area and related literature as secondary data. The results of the analysis show that there are variations in views and practices in managing used cooking oil among respondents. The level of public awareness about the importance of managing used cooking oil to support the zero waste concept varies.
