In the era of globalization, university graduates are required to have the ability to implement knowledge in real practice, which is realized through the Field Work program. This study aims to evaluate the compliance of Task Force reporting at PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Main Distribution Unit (UID North Sumatra). The method used is a quantitative approach with K-Means Clustering. Compliance reporting data was obtained from internal company documents, which then went through the preprocessing and clustering stages using the K-Means algorithm, with the determination of the optimal cluster number through the Elbow and Silhouette methods. The K-Means clustering analysis results identified two groups of units with different levels of compliance. Cluster 2, consisting of UP3 Binjai and UP3 Sibolga, showed a higher and more consistent level of reporting compliance. In contrast, Cluster 1 (including UP2D, UP3 B. Barisan, UP3 L. Pakam, UP3 Medan, UP3 Medan Utara, UP3 Nias, UP3 P. Sidimpuan, UP3 P. Siantar, and UP3 Prapat) had a tendency for lower compliance. This finding indicates a difference in reporting consistency that affects the effectiveness of work safety supervision. The K-Means method is proven to help PLN management identify units with low compliance, allowing corrective actions to be prioritized appropriately.

Information system security faces serious challenges due to increasingly complex cyber attacks. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) require efficient approaches to handle high-dimensional data such as the NSL-KDD dataset with 41 features. This study aims to implement the Genetic Algorithm (GA) for feature selection on the NSL-KDD dataset to improve the efficiency and accuracy of network attack detection. The method used is computational experimental research, involving data preprocessing, GA implementation for feature selection, building a classification model using Random Forest, and performance evaluation based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and computation time. The results show that GA successfully reduced features from 41 to 12 features (70.7% reduction), significantly improving computational efficiency. However, model accuracy slightly decreased from 0.4973 to 0.4951, indicating that while GA is effective for feature selection, the elimination of certain features may reduce classification capability. The implication of this study is that GA can be used as a tool to simplify intrusion detection models, but it should be combined with parameter optimization and data imbalance handling to achieve more optimal performance.

This community service activity was conducted in a Christian ministry institution located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The Student Creativity Program (PKM) was motivated by the reality that many people in Makassar have not yet known or believed in Isa Al-Masih (Jesus Christ )as Lord and Savior. As a city with a predominantly non-Christian population, evangelism in Makassar needs to be carried out contextually, wisely, and lovingly, without offending the beliefs of the surrounding community. The “PI 3 Saja” method (an acronym for Evangelism anytime, anywhere, and to anyone) serves as a relevant and effective strategy for reaching out to society. Through the 5P approach (Pertalian—Relationship, Peralihan—Transition, Penginsafan—Conviction, Pengabaran—Proclamation, and Penyelesaian—Commitment), this method emphasizes the importance of friendship, empathy, and naturally sharing the Gospel in everyday conversations. The purpose of this activity was to train participants in the institution to become contextual evangelists who can share the Good News without coercion, but rather through exemplary living and genuine friendship with others. The training and field practice results showed positive responses from the community, the formation of small discipleship groups (house churches), and an increased sense of courage and sensitivity among participants in sharing the Gospel in non-Christian environments. This activity demonstrates that evangelism can remain relevant and effective when it prioritizes love, relationships, and sensitivity to local culture.

The “turun ranjang” marriage is a traditional practice found in several Indonesian ethnic groups, in which a man marries the younger sister of his deceased or divorced wife. This tradition aims to maintain family harmony, protect children, and preserve kinship ties. From the perspective of Islamic law, such a marriage is permissible as long as it fulfills the legal requirements and pillars of marriage, including the presence of a guardian, witnesses, mutual consent, and the absence of coercion. However, if any of these conditions are not met, the marriage may be considered invalid according to Islamic law. While this tradition has positive aspects such as preventing adultery and preserving family unity it may also lead to social conflict when performed under pressure or without full consent. Therefore, it is essential for those involved to seek guidance from Islamic scholars or legal experts to ensure the marriage aligns with religious principles and promotes family harmony. Overall, the “turun ranjang” marriage can be accepted if conducted with sincerity, awareness, and compliance with Islamic law.

The concept of “urgent violation” as regulated in Article 52 paragraph (2) of Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 introduces a new ground for employment termination (PHK), granting employers the authority to unilaterally terminate workers. However, this provision lacks a clear definition and objective parameters, creating legal uncertainty and potential misuse. This study employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach through literature review of legislation, Constitutional Court decisions, and labor law literature. The findings indicate that the clause on “urgent violation” often emerges from unequal bargaining positions between employers and workers, thereby failing to fully satisfy the principle of consensualism as a requirement for valid agreements. Substantively, this provision resembles the “serious misconduct” norm under Article 158 of the Manpower Law, which was annulled by the Constitutional Court through Decision No. 012/PUU-I/2003 for violating the presumption of innocence and workers’ constitutional rights. Consequently, the regulation on “urgent violation” risks repeating the same legal shortcomings and contradicts the spirit of labor law, which emphasizes that termination of employment must be avoided and only used as a last resort (ultimum remedium), as affirmed in Article 151 of the Manpower Law.
