The rapid development of information technology and increasing global competition require companies to continuously improve human resource performance. One effort that can be done is by paying attention to the workload received by employees and the compensation system provided. The background of this study is based on the declining trend of employee performance in the last three years, which indicates that performance is not yet fully optimal. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents working in various divisions. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that workload and compensation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 59.5%. The results show that: 1). Workload has a negative and significant effect on Employee Performance, 2). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. These findings indicate that employee performance can be improved through a balanced distribution of workload and the provision of appropriate and fair compensation. The implications of this study provide a basis for companies in developing more effective human resource management strategies oriented towards improving performance.

Transformational leadership is an important paradigm in strengthening modern governance that is oriented towards innovation, accountability, and public service. This research aims to examine the concepts, roles, and challenges of transformational leadership in the context of the Indonesian public sector through a literature study approach. The study was conducted on 15 open academic sources relevant to digital bureaucratic issues, apparatus work motivation, and organizational reform. The results of the study show that transformational leadership is able to increase performance effectiveness, strengthen employee commitment, and accelerate the digital transformation of the bureaucracy through an inspiring vision, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention to subordinates. In addition, this leadership contributes to the formation of a collaborative work culture and the improvement of public service innovations that are adaptive to the needs of the community. However, its implementation still faces structural obstacles, such as hierarchical culture, resistance to change, weak digital competence of the apparatus, and limited policy and human resource support. Therefore, a strong integration between transformational values, adaptive leadership competencies, and good governance principles is needed to drive sustainable and performance-oriented bureaucratic change that is superior to public performance.

Burnout is a psychological issue often faced by Civil Servants (ASN) due to demanding job responsibilities, negatively impacting performance, motivation, job satisfaction, and productivity. Excessive workload is a primary factor contributing to burnout, making it essential to examine their relationship in the governmental context. This study investigates the perception of workload and the level of burnout among civil servants at the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol) of Jambi Province. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the study involved 65 civil servants selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire consisting of a workload perception scale (30 items) and a burnout scale (22 items). The Pearson Product Moment correlation test with SPSS software was used for data analysis. Descriptive results showed that most respondents reported moderate to high levels for both variables. A correlation coefficient of r = 0.503 with a significance level of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) indicates a significant positive relationship between workload perception and burnout. This suggests that higher perceived workload increases the likelihood of experiencing burnout. To reduce burnout and maintain optimal performance, balanced workload management, social support, and stress management strategies are essential for civil servants.

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work motivation on the performance of civil servants (PNS) at the Office of the Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) in Central Jakarta. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method, where data were collected through questionnaires distributed to a number of PNS within BSKDN. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of statistical software to examine the relationships and effects between variables. The results indicate that leadership style has a substantial and positive effect on PNS performance, suggesting that effective, inspiring, and communicative leadership can enhance employee productivity and work quality. Moreover, work motivation also demonstrates a positive and significant impact on PNS performance, indicating that highly motivated employees exhibit greater dedication, discipline, and initiative in carrying out their duties. Further analysis shows that when leadership style and work motivation are applied simultaneously, both provide a substantial influence on improving PNS performance, emphasizing the importance of synergy between good leadership and employees’ internal motivation. The practical implications of this study underscore the urgency for BSKDN to develop leadership training programs that can inspire, motivate, and empower employees comprehensively. Additionally, designing sustainable strategies to enhance work motivation is also crucial to optimize the performance of all PNS within BSKDN, ensuring organizational goals are achieved effectively and efficiently. This research aims to identify factors that significantly influence employee performance and formulate strategies to improve it. This research was conducted through a comprehensive literature study of various studies related to employee performance. The main focus of this research is on internal factors such as motivation, leadership, and organizational culture, as well as external factors such as technology and changes in the business environment. The research results show that employee performance is influenced by various interrelated factors. Motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, is a key factor that encourages employees to achieve optimal performance. Effective leadership, especially transformational and democratic leadership styles, also has an important role in improving performance. In addition, a positive organizational culture, conducive work environment, and appropriate use of technology can increase employee productivity and job satisfaction. To improve employee performance, organizations need to create a supportive and motivating work environment. This can be done by implementing various strategies, such as providing ongoing training and development, implementing a fair and transparent compensation system, building positive interpersonal relationships, and providing sufficient autonomy to employees. Apart from that, organizations also need to pay attention to external factors such as technological changes and evolving market dynamics.
