This study explores an artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictive maintenance system for industrial machinery in Indonesian manufacturing. By utilizing machine learning algorithms, the system can analyze real-time machine data to predict equipment failures and recommend timely maintenance actions. The implementation of predictive maintenance has shown to reduce machine downtime by 20% and improve operational efficiency in manufacturing plants in Jakarta and Surabaya. This paper discusses the technical design of the predictive maintenance system, its economic impact on production costs, and implications for Indonesia's industrial sector.

Fungsi pemeliharaan menjadi lebih diperlukan karena produktivitas meningkat dan mesin berteknologi tinggi dan fasilitas produksi digunakan. PT. Primissima yang merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi tekstil berupa kain mori dan kain abu-abu mempunyai permasalahan yang timbul terutama terkait dengan kerusakan pada komponen mesin shuttle, hal ini mengakibatkan downtime dan tertundanya proses produksi sehingga kinerja mesin menjadi kurang. efektif. Dengan menggunakan metode RCM, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan saran preventive maintenance dan interval waktu perawatan yang optimal pada mesin yang berguna untuk meminimalisir downtime sehingga produksi dapat tetap berjalan sesuai fungsinya.Dari pengolahan data menggunakan metode RCM diperoleh hasil pada komponen Filling fork teath dengan interval perawatan selama 49,64 jam, pada komponen shuttle dengan interval perawatan selama 25,4 jam, pada komponen Nylon Picker dengan interval perawatan selama 64 jam. pada komponen lugstrap dengan interval perawatan selama 14,4 jam, pada komponen Picking Stick dengan interval perawatan selama 69,3  jam.

PT The lathe is one of the essential machines in production activities in this company. The amount of downtime caused by machine failure will reduce product quality and quantity. Therefore, this research aims to identify the factors that most influence the risk of lathe failure so that repair priorities and maintenance strategies can be determined. This can be achieved by using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. FMEA is a method that can be used to identify the causes and impacts of each possible failure mode on machine components by systematically explaining the levels of failure so that appropriate prevention or repair can be carried out. The FMEA method shows the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value as a reference in determining the choice of maintenance strategy, namely, predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance. The research results show that the highest RPN value is found in the motor shaft pulley component at 320 and Nut Screw at 210. Maintenance priorities are determined based on the Pareto diagram principle. The appropriate maintenance strategy carried out by PT.   Keywords: FMEA, Lathe, Maintenance, RPN

One of the reasons the Sugar Factory failed to meet its sugar production target was due to damage to the machine components, particularly at the milling station, where the milling rollers are located. The milling rollers play a crucial role in extracting juice from sugar cane, separating the juice from the bagasse, and measuring the raw juice before it enters the purification process. This unit is designed to maximize raw juice yield while minimizing the amount of bagasse. The milling rollers are arranged in a triangular configuration of three mills, with a milling path between the front and rear rollers that can move forward and backward. Several common issues affect the milling rollers, including surface wear, damage from excessive loads, and wear from repeated friction between the rollers and the sugar cane. Sugar cane itself contributes to roller wear due to its composition, which includes water, sucrose, cellulose, lignin, hemicellulose, ash, and silica. These substances are highly corrosive, even to stainless steel, and act like abrasives against the rollers. The usual remedy at the factory is to weld stainless steel onto cast iron rollers. However, this method has only been moderately effective, as the rollers continue to experience wear after a short period. Based on field observations and literature reviews, some suggested solutions include more frequent cleaning and applying a tungsten coating to the roller surfaces.

The industrial world in the field of medium and large scale construction and maintenance from both various industrial sectors needs to improve procedures with technology that is efficient, safe, can reduce costs, and can minimize process time. Based on the experience of researchers in the agricultural machinery industry when installing and replacing belts on conveyors is done manually, namely by moving the belt using a forklift and according to researchers it is less efficient. The design of this prototype belt winder is to present the actual performance mechanism of the belt winder machine. The method used is to calculate the prototype design, design using 3d software, then the model is printed using a 3d printer. The last process carried out by researchers is assembling each component, then conducting trials and observing the performance mechanism of the prototype belt winder. The results obtained are able to roll a 1030 mm long belt with the required motor power of 5.31 Watt.

Human resources as one of the resources in an organization play an important role in the successful achievement of organizational goals. Human resources use other resources owned by the organization in order to achieve goals. Even sophisticated technological machines will be meaningless if the human resources running them are not qualified to work on them. Likewise with information resources. No matter how good and complete the information received by the organization, it will not mean anything, if the quality of existing human resources is not able to translate it into information that is useful for the development and progress of the organization. Human resource management is the process of planning, organizing, implementing and controlling towards human resources in the organization to achieve goals effectively and efficiently. The management functions applied in human resource management consist of, (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) directing. ), and (4) controlling. The operational functions carried out by human resource management are, (1) procurement, (2) development, (3) compensation, (4) integration, (5) maintenance, and (6) termination of employment (separation). One of the important activities carried out in human resource management, especially in the planning function, is job analysis. By analyzing a job, it will be known what tasks will be carried out in that job, what competencies must be mastered by the human resources who will occupy that position.

The issue of ozone depletion and surface global warming due to synthetic refrigerants has prompted educational laboratories employing cooling machines to seek environmentally friendly alternative refrigerants. Retrofitting involves replacing refrigerants (consumable substances serving as working fluids) with environmentally friendly alternatives. Refrigerators are essential household appliances that have a significant environmental impact. This paper addresses various aspects of environmentally friendly refrigerator design, encompassing the use of cutting-edge technology, routine maintenance, the utilization of waste heat, material recycling, and the selection of eco-friendly refrigerants. By focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable material usage, refrigerators can become more efficient and environmentally friendly. Through this comprehensive analysis, practical recommendations are emphasized for the eco-friendly use and maintenance of refrigerators.

Management of facilities and infrastructure is one of the factors affecting success in a company. One is to support the company's operational activities. The purpose of this study was to find out the management of infrastructure in one of the companies engaged in food and beverage. The research results show that the company has carried out management by doing the planning, procurement, maintenance, inventory, and removal of infrastructure. However, not all infrastructure is in an optimal state. This can be seen from the manual use of the machine and the leaky air conditioning due to the lack of regular maintenance. This study used qualitative methods using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and prior literature, and using purposive sampling techniques.

Dalam lean manufacturing, keandalan mesin sangat penting, sehingga mendorong banyak perusahaan di seluruh dunia untuk mengadopsi strategi pemeliharaan yang efektif dan efisien. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), yaitu pendekatan sistematis untuk mengidentifikasi pemeliharaan preventif dengan menetapkan interval perawatan. PT. Pelita Cengkareng Paper saat ini menerapkan maintenance hanya jika mesin mengalami kerusakan. Paper Machine PM 5 merupakan mesin yang mengalami downtime tertinggi selama 2 tahun, yaitu 840.07 jam. Pada PM 5, downtime tertinggi ditemukan di mesin Press.  Nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) komponen kritis tertinggi mesin Press ditemukan pada komponen Felt dan Uhle Box. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh interval waktu perawatan komponen Felt adalah 346,15 jam, komponen Uhle Box 385,03 jam Dengan menggunakan RCM Decision Worksheet dapat diketahui jenis kerusakan komponen Felt yaitu: longgar, macet dan kotor. Sedangkan untuk komponen Uhle Box ditemukan cover Uhle Box aus. Tindakan scheduled discard task utamanya dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keandalam komponen.

As software technology becomes more complex, software maintenance costs become more expensive. In connection with this, the development of software engineering makes the software system has many Composition choices that can be adjusted to the needs of the user. Error fixing involves analyzing Error Summary and modifying code. If bug-fixing steps are made as efficiently and effectively as possible then maintenance costs can be minimal. The purpose of this research is to establish a tool of machine learning for identifying Composition Error Summary and to find out the types of special Composition choices that can be used to save costs, time, and effort. In this study, the T-test was applied to appraise the analytical implication of conduct metrics when the “F-test” was taken to the Variance’s test. Classifiers used in this study are “All words” or “AW”, “Highly Informative Words” or “H-IW”, and “Highly Informative Words plus Bigram” or “H-WB”. Identical validation and Vexed validation techniques were used to calculate the effectiveness of machine learning tools. The results of this research denote that the instrument is competent for definitive Composition Error Summary and other Composition choices for definite Error Summary. This research determines the practicality of machine learning techniques in corrective issues relevant to Error summary. The result of this study also explained that Composition/non-Composition Error Summaries have contrasting aspects that can be accomplished by machine learning devices. The advanced tool could be upgraded in some areas to create it more powerful. The array identification section of the current study has limitations, an array with different words and Composition recognition tools tend to prefer Compositions with more words, so improvements to this could implicate consideration of the semantics of Error Summary, equivalent, and use of n-grams. Also, in using the technology of machine learning and Natural Language processing some advancements to be made to the present characterization structure so for future research it is highly recommended to clear up the first’s Error Summary before operating several operations in the present study.Composition Error Summary

Metalindo Perkasa is a company engaged in the field of furniture that produces chairs. In the production process of stacking chair components, there are problems encountered, namely the number of defects that exceed 1% of the standard determination. It can be a maximum lack of opinion on the company.The research was conducted with the aim of finding solutions to the factors that cause disability and finding action solutions to minimize disability. The method used in this research is Statistical Process Control (SPC). The results showed that the types of defects found were hollow, bent and curly.Factors that cause defects are human factors, machine factors, method factors, action solutions to eliminate defects by training operators, carrying out machine maintenance and checking machine components regularly and increasing supervision when setting degrees.

This study focuses on the management of gear pump maintenance on KM Kelimutu ship. Data collection methods are used to identify and investigate the causes of damage that occur in the gear pump. The required maintenance and repair actions are determined based on the analysis results. The process of managing maintenance involves several important steps. First, planning is carried out to determine the planned maintenance actions. Subsequently, organization is conducted by appointing responsible personnel and coordinating with relevant parties to minimize disruptions to the maintenance of equipment and other machinery on the ship. Furthermore, actuating involves efforts to ensure that all human resources work according to their tasks, functions, and competencies in order to achieve company goals. Finally, control is implemented through supervision of each job performed to identify and rectify any potential errors. The results of this study provide insights into the importance of gear pump maintenance and effective strategies in managing the maintenance process. By implementing the appropriate steps, it is expected to enhance the performance of the gear pump, extend its service life, and optimize operational efficiency in the industry.

Machine maintenance must be carried out as a support for the reliability of a machine so that the production system can run smoothly to meet production needs. The fundamental problem of this study is in PT XYZ with the Roll Table 5Q machine, which frequently experiences sudden damage caused by critical components. The goal of the study was to determine the maintenance time interval of the 5Q Roll Table machine, the optimal age of the machine, and the number of mechanics based on the minimum total maintenance cost in an effort to improve the reliability of the machine using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) II methods and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) methods. From the results of research for critical components As Roll Table obtained interval value of 331 hours / 13 days once a year with the selection of action is Scheduled restoration task and for Bearing components obtained interval value of 109 hours/5 days once a year with the selection of action is Scheduled on-condition task. From the calculation of the total life cycle cost of Rp. 3,720,459,386 with the optimal number of mechanics on the Roll Table machine as many as 3 mechanics with an efficiency level of 9.63% with an optimal age for the Roll Table machine 5Q is 12 years.

PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a company that produces cement and runs the production process 24 hours a day. The company uses Roto Packer in its packaging process. In carrying out machine maintenance efforts, the company has implemented a maintenance system, namely preventive maintenance. However, even though preventive maintenance has been carried out, the company still experiences downtime on the spring load cell components. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an analysis in order to determine the time between breakdowns, breakdown times, and arrange optimal maintenance schedules for spring load cell components. This study uses the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to develop preventive maintenance activities that have been scheduled by the company. The results obtained, for the spring load cell component, component replacement must be carried out every 4 days with a replacement time of 49 minutes and a reliability of 39.87%.

PT XYZ Karawang is required to increase its production capacity by adding vessel machines to meet this (demand), and as one of PT XYZ Karawang's strategies to develop its business. The addition of this production machine is planned in order to reduce potential losses such as maintenance costs and prevent production delays that have been set. The purpose of this research is to ascertain whether an investment plan to be implemented is economically viable or not. This data collection was taken from secondary and primary data at PT. XYZ Karawang. Results NPV analysis results and data processing value of the old machine NPV $ 80,798.1 > new machine NPV $ 10,977.32. The results of PP analysis and processing of data on the value of the old PP machine required 3.9 years < new machine PP the value of the new machine. The results of the PI analysis and data processing of the value of the old machine PP 26.9 > the PI of the new machine 7.32. So the suggestion from the conclusion above is that the investment decision to add fixed assets (new machine vessels) is feasible to carry out to increase surfactant production capacity whose sales value continues to increase from year to year.

Miwon Indonesia is one of the companies that started as a company in 1973, the company finally changed the company's name with PT. Daesang Ingredients Indonesia The research method used is Preventive Maintenance, in this study researchers analyzed the time between laminating machine damage to the Chamber Box Heater component, the data taken was the Laminating machine down time data in July – December 2022 The results of analysis and data processing showed that the level of component reliability, namely for the chamber box heater component of 0.5892 occurred on day 5. And while the press roll rewinder component obtained a reliability level of 0.5925 on day 7. And the results of the calculation of costs before preventive maintenance are obtained at a cost of Rp. 47,953,572 per 6 months and costs after preventive maintenance are obtained at Rp. 29,677,876 per 6 months. With a difference of Rp.18,285,696. From the results of preventive maintenance costs, it can reduce maintenance costs at PT. Daesang Ingredients Indonesia than before preventive maintenance calculations are carried out.

PT. Z is one of the companies that produces steel plates located in Surabaya, East Java. Production process at PT. The Z fully uses machines that operate 24 hours a day. The bottleneck in the steel plate production process is that there are often breakdowns caused by people, machines, and materials. In the engine factor, there is often a machine breakdown that makes production stop. The smooth running of the production process is disrupted due to damage to the production machine. High downtime often occurs due to repairs and replacement of components in certain machine parts. Therefore the machine needs maintenance / maintenance (maintenance). Among all production machines, rolling mill machines are the machines with the highest downtime rates. The components in the rolling mill machine that cause the highest downtime of 12,851 minutes are roll components. This study intends to make a scheduling plan for roll replacement on rolling mill machines. The methodology used in this study is Preventive Maintenance by calculating its reliability and making a schedule for replacing and maintaining the machine. The results showed that the average roll replacement every 6 days with 63.21% reliability, and the average roll replacement process time was 131 minutes.

PT. Romi Violeta is a furniture company engaged in the production of rattan and wood products for the global market. The problem that often occurs is that the Finger Joint machine often experiences damage to the engine components. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to identify critical components in the Finger Joint machine, develop a maintenance scheduling for the machine's components, and compare the maintenance costs before and after implementing the scheduling. The analysis revealed that the Hydraulic component has a cumulative value of 40%, followed by the Cutter component with a cumulative value of 34.4%, and the Air Hose component with a cumulative value of 5.6%. Consequently, a preventive maintenance schedule was determined, with the Hydraulic component requiring maintenance every 31 days, the Cutter component every 36 days, and the Air Hose component every 207 days. This resulted in a reduction in maintenance costs from the previous amount of Rp.5,200,000 to Rp.1,210,847.

PK. Rosella Baru is a company operating in the plastic sack industry. In the production process of plastic sacks, there are several stages, including the production of plastic thread. The company still encounters a significant number of defects in the plastic thread, exceeding 2%, resulting in obstacles in the weaving process of the sacks and suboptimal production output. The research utilizes the Statistical Process Control method to identify solutions for quality control of the plastic thread products at PK. Rosella Baru. Based on the Pareto diagram, the most dominant defect is found in the unevenness of thread rolls, accounting for 43.3% of the defects. The control chart analysis shows that there are samples exceeding the upper control limit (UCL) in samples 1 and 9, and data exceeding the lower control limit (LCL) in samples 3 and 6. The cause and effect diagram identifies five factors: labor, machine, material, method, and environment. The most dominant cause is the lack of training for the workforce and insufficient maintenance of the machines, resulting in defective plastic thread. Therefore, the suggested solution is to perform regular machine maintenance, provide training to the workforce, and pay attention to machine settings and the quality of raw materials used.

The electric motor is a system that plays an important role in the operation of production machines in the industrial world. The advantages of a 3 Phase Electric Motor are that it is economical, uses a strong construction and has high efficiency. In order to carry out its functions properly, this drive system is equipped with various other electrical equipment to synergize with each other so that the case sealer machine can function optimally and always prioritize periodic maintenance. The drive system used is a 3-phase electric motor which functions to move the motor roll so that the product to be packaged in the case sealer machine can run.
