Harapan Baru is a crab procurement business that serves as a critical link between fishermen and pond farmers. Crabs, as the primary commodity, are subject to significant price fluctuations and quality variations. This study aims to evaluate the economic viability of Harapan Baru's operations by analyzing costs, revenue, and profitability. Employing a critical incident technique, the research found that the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management method and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model significantly enhance operational efficiency. By ensuring timely inventory turnover and optimizing order quantities, these methods mitigate risks associated with demand variability, climate change, and operational challenges. Moreover, the study underscores the essential role of mangrove ecosystems in sustaining crab populations and the economic benefits derived from this natural resource. The integration of technology and SWOT analysis highlights the potential for Harapan Baru to enhance its competitive advantage and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the fisheries industry.

Natuna waters are the most vulnerable area to illegal fishing because there is abundant potential for fishery resources. It was recorded that from May to December 2016, there were 280 foreign vessels in Natuna waters, which resulted in economic losses of 2.98 trillion Rupiah. This study aims to examine and assess the policies and actions that the Indonesian government has implemented in overcoming illegal fishing activities in the area. The results of this study are that the Natuna Waters Area is part of the Indonesian Archipelago Sea Lane (ALKI) and functions as a global waterway. The Natuna Waters Area borders with neighboring countries and is connected to open waters, making it vulnerable to illegal fishing activities. The Indonesian government's strategy in dealing with cases of unlawful fishing in Natuna waters effectively increases the protection of state sovereignty and marine resources through policies such as sinking ships and maritime diplomacy. However, this implementation policy overcomes obstacles in the form of intimidation from other countries, such as China, and weaknesses in supervision and coordination between domestic institutions, which can affect microorganisms in fisheries management and maritime security in the area.

Red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a freshwater fish known for its high tolerance to environmental conditions, low water quality, and ability to adapt well to various situations. Data from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries shows that tilapia production in Indonesia has increased significantly, from 1,172,633.38 kg in 2020 to 1,300,529.23 kilograms in 2021, with a percentage increase of 10.90%. The community strongly influences the local economy and food security. Tilapia farming is widely chosen because it has a stable selling price and fast growth. Many farmers have chosen Tilapia farming as their primary source of livelihood. This research aimed to study the socio-economic conditions, difficulties, and development opportunities of tilapia farming in the community. The results show that although this business contributes significantly to family income, there are several constraints, such as fluctuating market prices, limited access to technology, and low aquaculture skills. In addition, the success of aquaculture is also affected by environmental conditions and resource availability. Therefore, a development plan that includes training, access to capital, and improved infrastructure is needed to improve yields and the welfare of the tilapia farming community.

Still today, Indonesia's agricultural industry provides the bulk of the country's GDP. Agricultural output and job prospects are deteriorating as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is particularly severe from 2020 to 2022. These underlying causes highlight the need of having a framework to estimate and anticipate output for the next year. The objective is to examine how the transition of farm and non-agricultural labour has affected family welfare in the districts of West Aceh and South Aceh. Shift Share and Location Quotient (LQ) are the tools used in this study. Using the contribution criterion in particular, LQ analysis is a powerful analytical technique for revealing an area's economic foundation. One way to look at regional economic development is via shift share analysis, which tracks how a key indicator of regional economic growth changes or increases over a certain time period. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries make up the basic sector in South Aceh Regency's LQ calculation. The manufacturing industry, construction, financial and insurance services, and government administration, defence, and compulsory social security make up the other three subsectors. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing make up the backbone of West Aceh Regency's LQ calculation. The quarrying and mining industry. All sectors in South Aceh Regency had a negative value in the GRDP of South Aceh Regency shift share study, which suggests that overall, the sectors in South Aceh Regency are not expanding faster than their counterparts in Aceh Province and West Aceh Regency. All of the sectors in West Aceh Regency's GDRP are positive, which indicates that overall, the South Regency's sectors are developing at a quicker rate than both Aceh Province and South Aceh Regency's sectors.

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic nation with significant marine territory, faces major challenges related to Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. This issue negatively impacts local fishers and the national economy. This study examines Indonesia's maritime policies, including measures to combat IUU fishing through decisive actions such as sinking foreign vessels caught fishing illegally and introducing new policies like quota-based fishing. While these policies aim to reduce marine resource exploitation and promote sustainability, challenges persist, especially regarding the welfare of small-scale fishers who remain trapped in poverty. The research employs library research methods to explore the impact of policies on Indonesian fishers and the fisheries sector while highlighting the importance of more effective policies to balance stakeholders' interests and achieve sustainable fisheries management. Combating IUU fishing requires more comprehensive measures, including stricter monitoring and enhanced awareness among stakeholders in the fisheries sector.

Indonesia has significant fisheries potential due to its vast waters. Its abundant fishery resources have strong export potential. However, export activities often face challenges that cause export volumes to fluctuate. This fluctuation is influenced by various factors. These factors can be minimized using statistical methods such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Factor Analysis. This study includes data characterization for each variable and testing PCA and factor analysis assumptions, including multivariate normality testing, independence testing (Bartlett's test), sampling adequacy (KMO test), anti-image correlation testing, PCA testing, and factor analysis. The results indicate that the percentage contribution of fisheries to GDP, the number of coastal villages with disaster mitigation facilities, and the average daily per capita calorie consumption from fish are relatively less dispersed and not highly variable around the mean. Additionally, all data meet the assumptions, and the sample size is adequate. Factors such as aquaculture pond production and the percentage contribution of fisheries to GDP sufficiently explain the data variations.
