This research explores the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve the quality of digital image processing learning in the Informatics Engineering Study Program. Through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, this research shows that PBL has a positive impact on students' conceptual understanding, technical skills, and involvement in the learning process. Nevertheless, challenges such as planning relevant learning problems and evaluating the learning process were also identified. Support and training are needed for lecturers to overcome these challenges. These findings provide valuable insights for the development of problem-based teaching practices in the context of digital image processing.

This research tests the usability of the platform on new students of Informatics Engineering. Usability of is measured through three main variables: effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test involving 20 respondents using questionnaires and practical tasks. 20 respondents using questionnaires and practical tasks. The results of the study showed that the effectiveness and efficiency of the Scratch platform increased significantly from the pre-test to the post-test, reaching a level of effectiveness and efficiency, showing that the time required to complete programming tasks is reduced once users are familiar with the platform. User satisfaction also increased, with the majority of respondents feeling more comfortable and interested in using Scratch after testing. This research concludes that the Scratch platform is effective and efficient as a programming learning tool for new Informatics Engineering students.

Project-based science learning with MELESAT content using loose parts is the choice as a learning model for young children to build new knowledge, with a scientific mindset children are getting to know Al-Khaliq, exploring new things, being creative, innovative, thinking out of the box, are adaptive to the environment, able to produce work and can develop and practice skills related to the real world. One way to learn science more constructively and meaningfully is through project-based learning that integrates MELESAT components using loose parts as open-ended play materials. Through continuous particSainstion in various play activities in the classroom and outside the classroom, children are actively involved in dialogue that is rich in scientific thinking patterns by utilizing complex and abstract scientific process skills such as observing, asking, observing, predicting, evaluating, and comparing. Discussions with children during the learning process about scientific thinking concepts related to mathematics, existence, literacy, engineering, science, art and technology merge with strengthening coaching by teachers for children during the learning process. The results of this research led to the conclusion that with the right teacher guidance, the learning process provides many opportunities for children to develop 21st century skills to prepare children for life in the future.

Engineering is a science that studies the skills of creating tools and processing methods to perform various human tasks. Education is the conscious effort to prepare students for future tasks through teaching, learning and/or training. Character is a set of qualities that are always admired as a sign of a person's goodness, virtue and moral maturity. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review, ie. to find out the importance of technology in the development of a student's character. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) strategy. SLR is a research method that aims to systematically identify, examine and interpret information obtained from journals at certain stages. The research results show that the integration of technology into education not only supports the learning process, but also plays an important role in the development of the student's character. Technology-based education encourages students to think critically, collaborate and adapt to the rapid changes of the digital age. Therefore, technology is an important tool to develop students who are academically intelligent in accordance with the values of Pancasila, but also with strong character and noble morals.

The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a significant concern in the development of learning systems, including the learning of Building Engineering Education students. This research aims to increase the effectiveness of learning for Building Engineering Education students. By using AI concepts and theories defined by John McCarthy, this research analyzes how AI becomes an important tool in creating a learning system that is more adaptive and responsive to student needs. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire to determine the results of the research. The results of this research show that respondents know AI and its role and the majority of respondents also feel helped by AI. AI also faces various challenges, such as further education to overcome various existing challenges by strengthening data security and increasing understanding of AI. Greater awareness and understanding of how AI can be used in education also deserves further attention.

Improving the quality of education in Indonesia can be developed through the implementation of educational reform. One form of educational reform can be carried out by using a learning approach that can help teachers produce experts using the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach. Initial findings reveal that only around 47.8% of SMA N 2 Medan students (class This research aims to see the effectiveness of the STEM approach in improving the critical thinking skills of SMA N 2 Medan students. The research method used is an experimental design with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were students of SMA N 2 Medan. The results showed that the sig (2-tailed) Equal variances value was assumed to be 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a significant difference in critical thinking abilities after students use the Equal variance method. The STEM-PBL approach, compared with the innovative K13 approach. The average critical thinking skills scores of the control class in the pre-test and post-test were 38 and 79.5. The coefficient remains at 0.676 and is significant at 0.000. This means the correlation is positive. Therefore, learning with a STEM approach has proven to be effective in improving the critical thinking skills of SMA N 2 Medan students.

This systematic literature review examines the evolving role of Quality Engineering (QE) in optimizing production processes within Industry 4.0 contexts. By analyzing 78 peer-reviewed studies (2010–2025), the research identifies critical shifts in QE methodologies, emphasizing integration with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and real-time digital twin technologies. Key findings reveal enhanced robustness through adaptive optimization algorithms (e.g., Bayesian optimization, NSGA-II), improved defect prediction via AI-driven quality control systems, and streamlined process interoperability through Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality 4.0 frameworks. The study underscores digital integration as a catalyst for reducing variability, accelerating decision-making, and aligning quality management with Industry 4.0’s demands for agility and interconnected systems. Recommendations include adopting hybrid methodologies combining classical Six Sigma with ML-driven analytics and investing in workforce training for digital QMS adoption.

The rapid advancement of deep learning technologies has significantly transformed healthcare analytics, particularly in medical data prediction and classification. This study proposes a hybrid Convolutional Neural Network–Long Short-Term Memory (CNN–LSTM) framework for multi-modal healthcare data analysis, integrating medical imaging, structured electronic health records (EHRs), and IoT-generated time-series physiological signals. The proposed architecture combines spatial feature extraction through CNN with temporal dependency modeling via LSTM to enhance predictive accuracy and clinical decision support. A quantitative experimental design was employed, utilizing multi-source healthcare datasets that underwent preprocessing, normalization, and feature engineering prior to model training. The performance of the hybrid model was evaluated using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, AUC-ROC, and Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and compared with conventional machine learning models and standalone deep learning architectures. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed CNN–LSTM model achieves superior performance, with improved classification accuracy and reduced prediction error, while maintaining strong generalization capability. The findings indicate that integrating spatial and temporal feature learning significantly enhances disease detection, risk stratification, and personalized treatment planning. This approach supports the development of intelligent clinical decision support systems and scalable smart healthcare environments. The proposed framework offers a reliable and efficient solution for advanced healthcare analytics in IoT-enabled systems.

This study aims to determine the effect of the mindmap-assisted STEM approach on students' Higher Order Thinking Skills in learning biology class X SMA Negeri 4 Kerinci. This research is experimental research with a group pretest-posttest design model. The population in this study came from students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Kerinci in the academic year 2021/2022. The research sample was students of class X MIPA 2 and Class X MIPA 4. The sampling technique used was the random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of an objective test consisting of 20 HOTS questions that had been validated by experts. Data analysis is quantitative data analysis with tests using the SPSS 21 application. The results of the study can be concluded that the STEM approach has a significant effect on students' higher-order thinking skills in learning biology with the results of hypothesis testing 0.00 < 0.05. Furthermore, the STEM approach can increase students' HOTS in biology learning, the average score of the experimental class students is 85.76 and the control class is 70.31.

The 21st century is an era where knowledge is easily spread and technology is developing rapidly. The close relationship between science and technology allows for accelerated synergy. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic. In the subject of Biology on the ability to think critically and creatively in class XII high school students. This study used a Quasi Experiment with research subjects in class XII IPA SMAN 1 Kademangan. The sample used was 34 students as the control class and 34 students as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used is the prerequisite test for normality and homogeneity and the ANACOVA hypothesis test. The results show that there is an increase in critical thinking skills and in the experimental class of 72,6%. In addition, there are differences in the abiliy to think creatively in student who used STEM integrated PJBL. Learning that focuses on students' problem-solving abilities is the focus of higher education. Students who are able to develop critical thinking skills in solving problems are a necessity along with changes in workforce capability needs in the informatics era. One of the mathematics lessons at the higher education unit level is discrete mathematics. The problem that arises in discrete mathematics learning is that learning outcomes and the percentage of students completing lectures are still relatively low. The aim of this research is to improve students' solving abilities through the application of the project based learning method. This research uses classroom action research methods. The application of the project based learning method in discrete mathematics courses with graph material can improve students' abilities in solving mathematical problems, this can be seen from the research results after corrective actions were taken in learning activities in Cycles I and II. Based on the research results, it shows that through project-based learning, third semester RB class students in the Informatics Engineering Education Program at Indraprasta University PGRI Jakarta have improved their ability to solve mathematical problems in terms of individual grades and classical completion.

Integrating deep learning methodologies is pivotal in shaping the continuous evolution of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) systems. This review explores the integration of deep learning in CAD and CAE, particularly focusing on generative models for simulating 3D vehicle wheels. It highlights the challenges of traditional CAD/CAE, such as manual design and simulation limitations, and proposes deep learning, especially generative models, as a solution. The study aims to automate and enhance 3D vehicle wheel design, improve CAE simulations, predict mechanical characteristics, and optimize performance metrics. It employs deep learning architectures like variational autoencoders (VAEs), convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and generative adversarial networks (GANs) to learn from diverse 3D wheel designs and generate optimized solutions. The anticipated outcomes include more efficient design processes, improved simulation accuracy, and adaptable design solutions, facilitating the integration of deep learning models into existing CAD/CAE systems. This integration is expected to transform design and engineering practices by offering insights into the potential of these technologies.

This study assesses the effectiveness of peer tutoring programs in enhancing students' performance in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). A longitudinal analysis of a peer tutoring initiative in a high school setting revealed significant improvements in both the academic performance of tutees and the tutoring skills of peer tutors. The research highlights the mutual benefits of peer tutoring, with tutees gaining better understanding of STEM concepts and tutors reinforcing their own knowledge. The findings suggest that peer tutoring is a valuable pedagogical tool in STEM education.

This qualitative study investigates the challenges faced by new engine officers in maritime settings, focusing on their transition from theoretical learning to practical engine maintenance. Through semi-structured interviews with experts in marine engineering and engine management, the research identifies significant gaps between theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms and the practical skills required aboard ships. Key findings highlight the need for educational reforms, including increased practical training hours, curriculum adjustments to enhance relevance, and integration of simulation technologies. Participants, comprising professional engine masters, endurance managers, and maritime educators, unanimously advocate for a more hands-on approach to training that prepares cadets to handle complex engine maintenance tasks effectively. Simulation technologies, particularly virtual reality simulations, emerge as crucial tools for bridging the gap between theory and practice. They provide realistic environments for cadets to simulate diverse operational scenarios and develop critical decision-making skills without exposing them to actual risks. The study concludes with recommendations for collaborative efforts between educational institutions and industry stakeholders to implement these reforms, ensuring a competent and prepared workforce capable of meeting the dynamic challenges of modern maritime operations.

The student worksheet, also known as LKPD, is a crucial element in the educational process inside schools. Nevertheless, several LKPDS fail to satisfy the requirements of being feasible, valid, and successful in enhancing the abilities of science process learners. Furthermore, the absence of stimuli in the LKPD to foster critical thinking among learners is a pressing issue that requires attention. The objective of this project is to create a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) focused Learning Kit and Performance Dashboard (LKPD) that may enhance the scientific process and creative abilities of fourth-grade children in primary school, specifically in relation to plant matter. The study employed the ADDIE Development paradigm, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The findings demonstrated that the STEAM-oriented LKPD created had a positive impact on enhancing the science process abilities and fostering creativity among fourth-grade pupils in relation to plant matter. Furthermore, the enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge and the level of scientific literacy also exert a beneficial impact on the science process abilities of individuals. Teachers and learners also evaluate the LKPD for its viability and practicality

The absence of student textbooks in the new Creative and Entrepreneurial Project subjects in accordance with the current Merdeka Curriculum causes students to be less familiar with Creative and Entrepreneurial Project material. Therefore, researchers developed an Augmented Reality-Based Creative and Entrepreneurial Project Teaching Book. The research conducted is a type of research and development (research and development). The product development model uses the ADDIE model which consists of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The development of textbooks uses augmented reality as a supporting media in textbooks. This research design adapts the One Group Pretest Posttest Design, with data collection techniques using questionnaires, observations, and tests. The research subjects involved 28 students of class XI Audio Video Engineering 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Kediri and validators consisting of two lecturers in the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, and one teacher teaching Creative Projects and Entrepreneurship subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Kediri. The results showed that the level of validity of the textbook in terms of expert assessment was 91% with very valid criteria. The level of practicality of the book in terms of students' responses was 93% with very practical criteria. Learning outcomes with multiple choice tests showed an average pretest score of 64.64, while the average posttest score was 88.04. Based on the Wilcoxon test which shows the difference or increase in pretest and posttest scores has a significance value of 0.000. The significance value of the calculated results thus falls in the H0 rejection area because the significance value of 0.00 <0.05, in other words that the pretest and posttest scores have a significant difference or increase. Based on the calculation and analysis of student learning outcomes data, it can be concluded that the Augmented Reality-Based Creative and Entrepreneurial Project Teaching Book developed is effective in improving student learning outcomes.
