Decision-making under uncertainty is a major challenge in management, economics, and public policy, where outcomes cannot be accurately predicted due to limited information and environmental dynamics. This article conducts a systematic literature review of risk and probability approaches to decision-making under uncertainty, focusing on rational theory synthesis (such as expected utility theory, decision tree analysis, and Bayesian decision theory) and behavioral perspectives (prospect theory and heuristics). The review covers reputable literature from the last ten years to the present. The results show that the probabilistic approach provides a strong and adaptive rational framework, but has significant limitations due to cognitive biases such as loss aversion, overconfidence, and ambiguity aversion, which cause deviations from normative rationality. The integration of rational approaches with behavioral elements, through hybrid models, has proven to be more comprehensive and realistic for dealing with true uncertainty (Knightian uncertainty). These findings emphasize the need for a multidimensional decision-making paradigm in organizational and policy practices.

This study aims to analyze the influence of customer experience and perceived value on tourist satisfaction among users of the Sidoarjo City Tour Bus as a form of public tourism transportation service. The Sidoarjo City Tour Bus represents a regional government service innovation intended to support tourism development while improving urban tourism accessibility. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving tourists who used the Sidoarjo City Tour Bus. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 99 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that customer experience does not have a significant effect on tourist satisfaction, suggesting that the experiences perceived by users are still subjective and not consistently felt by all service users. In contrast, perceived value has a positive and significant effect on tourist satisfaction, making it the most dominant variable in influencing satisfaction among Sidoarjo City Tour Bus users. These findings indicate that tourist satisfaction is more strongly determined by perceptions of benefits, service quality, and the suitability between sacrifices made and benefits received rather than by emotional experience alone. Therefore, this study recommends that the management of the Sidoarjo City Tour Bus and the local government enhance service value through improvements in facilities, information systems and registration processes, as well as optimization of comfort and schedule certainty. These efforts are important to increase tourist satisfaction and to support sustainable tourism development in Sidoarjo Regency.

This study explores the reconstruction of the abolition of compensation payments to foster justice for convicts, specifically evaluating the intersection between Law No. 31 of 1999 and Law No. 20 of 2001. The research addresses the persistent legal dilemma where state loss recovery mechanisms often overlook the fundamental rights and socio-economic realities of prisoners. Under the current regime, the imposition of substitute imprisonment for unpaid financial obligations is perceived as a "layered punishment" that undermines human dignity and fails to reflect proportional justice. The analysis reveals that the retributive orientation established in Law No. 31 of 1999 results in a "lose-lose" outcome: the state remains uncompensated while the financial burden of correctional costs increases due to extended incarceration. By integrating the fiscal and state financial management principles found in Law No. 20 of 2001, this research proposes a shift toward more proportional and restorative asset recovery. The study concludes that the role of the Prosecutor must be reoriented toward accurate asset tracing and the implementation of humane payment schemes. Future legal reforms must ensure that the state's interest in fiscal restoration does not sacrifice the convict's basic rights, prioritizing distributive justice to create a more humane anti-corruption framework.

This study aims to examine the application of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) System and evaluate its effectiveness in mitigating risks at the Health Facility Building Construction Project (Project X) in Fakfak Regency. The research method used is a descriptive-analytical quantitative approach with purposive sampling of 25 respondents, including executors, supervisors, and field workers. Risk analysis was conducted using the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method by measuring Severity, Occurrence, and Detection parameters to produce a Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results show that RPN values range from 52.35 to 452.30. The highest risk was found in the variable of limited safety signage in hazardous locations (RPN 452.30), which falls into the very high category. Additionally, 10 high-risk variables and 9 medium-risk variables were identified, dominated by technical, operational, and management factors, such as the use of heavy equipment by uncertified operators and weak implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and OHS audits. This study concludes that the application of OHS in Project X is still reactive and requires strengthening risk-based safety management systems as well as improving workforce competence to achieve zero accident conditions.

This study aims to elaborate on the mechanism of product design, word of mouth (WOM), price perception, and product quality on purchase decisions, with brand image serving as a mediating variable. The research focuses on consumers of Ogel-Ogel, a traditional snack product from Pemalang. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive method, data were gathered from 100 respondents through purposive and accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis employed path analysis and the Sobel test to measure the strength of the mediation effect. The results reveal that, partially, all independent variables and brand image exert a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions. The most crucial finding indicates that brand image acts as an effective mediating bridge, reinforcing the transformation of physical product attributes and social recommendations into actual purchasing actions. This underscores that for MSMEs in the culinary sector, visual uniqueness and quality are insufficient without consistent brand reputation management. This research provides strategic contributions for local product managers in integrating traditional marketing elements with brand equity strengthening to navigate an increasingly competitive market.

Electrolytes are essential minerals that play a critical role in various physiological processes within the body, including the maintenance of fluid balance, proper neuromuscular function, and the transmission of nerve impulses. They are vital for the stability of the heart and other crucial organs. When electrolyte levels become imbalanced, as seen in conditions such as hyponatremia (low sodium), hypernatremia (high sodium), hypokalemia (low potassium), hyperkalemia (high potassium), and hypocalcemia (low calcium), serious health issues can arise. These imbalances can result from factors like malnutrition, excessive losses through the kidneys or gastrointestinal tract, hormonal disorders, and certain systemic diseases. Understanding the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and clinical manifestations of these disturbances is essential for effective diagnosis and treatment. Healthcare providers must identify the root causes of electrolyte imbalances while assessing their severity to implement appropriate management strategies. This often involves gradually correcting electrolyte levels to mitigate the risk of life-threatening complications such as arrhythmias, cerebral edema, and neurological impairment. By fostering a comprehensive understanding of electrolyte imbalances, healthcare professionals can improve diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic effectiveness, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. This knowledge is crucial in minimizing morbidity and mortality associated with these disruptive conditions, ensuring that individuals receive prompt and effective care to restore balance and maintain overall health.

This research seeks to analyze how balancing funds and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) contribute to regional financial performance through a literature review approach. The study is motivated by inconsistencies in prior findings as well as the crucial role of these two revenue components in strengthening the fiscal autonomy of local governments. The method applied involves a review of relevant academic studies published between 2022 and 2025, which were sourced from Google Scholar. The findings suggest that balancing funds are able to support improvements in financial performance when managed effectively, although their use may also lead to a higher level of dependence on the central government. In contrast, PAD generally shows a positive relationship with financial performance, as it represents a region’s capacity to generate and manage its own revenue, even though several studies report that its influence is not always statistically significant.Overall, this study highlights the need for optimizing PAD management alongside ensuring that balancing funds are allocated in an efficient and transparent manner, in order to achieve sustainable improvements in regional financial performance.

This study aims to analyze the interrelationship between profitability, capital structure, firm size, and tax avoidance. It employs a descriptive analysis method combined with a literature review approach. The study draws upon various prior empirical studies indexed in Sinta 2 and Scopus Q2 from the period 2021–2024, as well as relevant secondary data sources. This approach is intended to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing firms’ propensity to engage in tax avoidance practices. The results of the literature review indicate that there is a relationship between firms’ tendency to engage in tax avoidance and profitability, capital structure, and firm size. Higher profitability leads to increased tax burdens, thereby encouraging management to implement tax planning strategies in an effort to reduce the tax liabilities that must be settled. Furthermore, firms with higher proportions of debt and equity tend to have greater flexibility in managing their financial policies, which may influence their tax strategies. In addition, larger firms typically possess greater resources and broader access to professional expertise, enabling them to better identify and exploit opportunities for tax avoidance in order to maintain cash flow stability. It is expected that this study will contribute theoretically to the development of the literature on taxation and corporate finance. Moreover, the findings are anticipated to serve as a consideration for regulators in formulating more effective tax supervision policies.

The management of local news programs within Indonesia’s Networked Broadcasting System (Sistem Stasiun Jaringan/SSJ) faces structural challenges amid the transition toward a digital media environment. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities in news program management at CNN Indonesia TV West Java as part of the SSJ in the digital media era. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis to examine local news distribution practices. The findings reveal that local news distribution remains constrained by structural limitations, as reflected in the limited proportion of local news and its placement in low-audience time slots, which restricts audience reach and the flexibility of regional newsrooms to develop local news programs strategically. In response to these limitations, digital platforms such as YouTube and Instagram are utilized as alternative distribution channels. However, this digital adaptation has not been accompanied by adjustments in newsroom work structures, resulting in increased journalists’ workloads due to cross-platform content production demands and repurposing practices. Nevertheless, digital distribution has enhanced the visibility of local news and demonstrates that audience proximity constitutes a strategic opportunity in managing local news in the digital era. This study highlights the importance of integrating digital distribution strategies with managerial adjustments to enable more adaptive and audience-oriented local news management within the SSJ framework.
