Maritime tourism in the Thousand Islands has become a significant component in the advancement of Indonesian tourism. The Thousand Islands offer great potential as a maritime tourist destination due to its coral reef ecosystems, marine biodiversity, and beautiful beaches. However, the development of maritime tourism in this region faces various challenges, including coral damage, marine pollution, and issues related to island accessibility. Other challenges encompass security, transportation, and regulations pertaining to tourism development. This study employs a qualitative approach and literature review techniques to delineate the potential and challenges of maritime tourism. The research findings highlight development strategies, including environmental preservation, improved accessibility, and collaboration among the government, stakeholders, and local communities. This research provides insights into the potential and challenges of maritime tourism in the Thousand Islands, serving as a guide for decision-makers in fostering sustainable tourism development in the region. With this profound understanding, it is hoped that development strategies can sustain the allure of tourism in the Thousand Islands while preserving the environment and enhancing the well-being of local communities.

Japan and the Philippines are countries rich in history, culture, and natural wealth closely tied to the sea. Japan has engaged in maritime diplomacy with the Philippines in the realm of security. Maritime security cooperation between the two nations forms the foundation for collaboration in the management of marine resources, cultural exchanges, economics, and maritime security. The objective of this research is to examine the impacts that can result from Japan-Philippines cooperation on Japan's maritime security. This research employs a mixed-methodology to elucidate the scope and impacts stemming from Japan-Philippines cooperation on Japan's maritime security. The research findings demonstrate that the impact of Japan-Philippines cooperation on maritime security provides critical access and plays a vital role in strengthening regional security in the area. Success in achieving assured maritime security conditions has positive effects on Japan in various sectors, especially in the trade sector. This leads to an increase in trust and facilitates smooth trade activities in the maritime region due to guaranteed maritime security. This approach reflects Japan's commitment to being more proactive in upholding global maritime security and collaborating with its regional partners to achieve shared prosperity and peace in the region and the world.

This research was started because there was a problem where the economic existence of the people who were members of the Fish Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) in Pangandaran Regency was still not optimal. Their income is still fluctuating. There are many obstacles, especially raw materials and nature, which greatly affect the process of implementing the processing and marketing of these fish, considering that not all fish can be processed and marketed, only certain fish can be processed and marketed, and even that is constrained by the season. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of the Department of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Food Security in improving the economics of the Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) in Pangandaran Regency, the obstacles and efforts it has made. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study concluded that the Department of Marine Affairs, Fisheries and Food Security implemented the main generic, main and functional strategies in improving the economics of the Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) in Pangandaran Regency. The obstacles faced by the Office of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Food Security in implementing strategies to improve the economics of the Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) in Pangandaran Regency are human resources, raw materials, funds and prices. Efforts made by the Office of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Food Security to overcome obstacles in implementing strategies for improving the economy of the Processing and Marketing Group (Poklahsar) in Pangandaran Regency are conducting training and developing HR competencies, providing injections of funds and assistance with processing infrastructure facilities to Poklahsar, and set prices. While the raw materials have not yet found its efforts.
