Environmental health education plays a crucial role in increasing public awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living behaviors, especially in urban areas that are vulnerable to diseases caused by environmental pollution. This study aims to develop and implement an environmental health education program as a disease prevention effort in urban communities. The method used was a participatory approach through socialization, training, and evaluation involving community groups in urban areas. The program actively engaged participants in understanding environmental risk factors and adopting preventive actions such as waste management, sanitation improvement, and environmental cleanliness. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge and behavior regarding healthy living practices and better environmental management. In addition, community members became more concerned and involved in maintaining environmental hygiene as part of a community-based disease prevention effort. This program proved effective in fostering awareness and collective responsibility toward environmental health in urban areas, contributing to sustainable community health improvement and environmental protection.
