Pemberdayaan Masyarakat: Jurnal Aksi Sosial 2025 Lembaga Pengembangan Kinerja Dosen

This community service program is designed to enhance the competence of English teachers at SMP N 33 Purworejo in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media, particularly deep learning technology. In the digital era, many teachers still face limitations in integrating intelligent technology into classroom activities, which affects the effectiveness of learning. The program was carried out in four stages: the provision of basic materials on AI and deep learning, technical training on the use of AI applications, practical development of learning media, and mentoring combined with evaluation. The results of this activity show an increase in teachers’ understanding and skills in operating AI tools, with each participant producing at least one AI-based learning media product. Through workshops, teachers learned to use applications such as chatbots, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and AI-assisted language tools to enrich students’ learning experiences. In addition, teachers were guided to design contextual media tailored to curriculum goals and student needs. Mentoring ensured that the products created were tested, improved, and ready to be applied in the classroom. The novelty of this activity lies in its focus on practical implementation of deep learning in junior high school English teaching, positioning teachers not only as users but also as creators of innovative media. Beyond technical competence, this program fosters collaboration among teachers to sustain innovation. In the long term, the outcomes are expected to improve students’ engagement, motivation, and communication skills, and contribute to the establishment of a digital learning ecosystem that supports interactive, effective, and future-oriented education.

The rapid development of information technology in the digital era has transformed the way organizations conduct their business activities. Information systems are now viewed not merely as operational support tools but as strategic elements capable of providing added value, increasing efficiency, and strengthening a company's competitiveness. In the context of PT XYZ, a company engaged in inspection and certification services, the use of information technology has become a crucial part of daily work processes. However, the implementation of information systems at the branch level still faces several obstacles. Data and process integration is not yet fully optimized, while alignment between the systems used and business needs has also not been achieved. This condition has the potential to hinder the company from providing fast, accurate, and innovative services. Therefore, appropriate and sustainable strategic planning of information systems is necessary. This study uses the Ward and Peppard framework enriched with Value Chain analysis to identify value-added activities, SWOT to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and PEST to map external factors affecting the business. In addition, the McFarlan Strategic Grid is used to prioritize the application portfolio that aligns with the company's long-term goals. The results of this research are expected to be able to produce an information system strategy design that not only supports operational efficiency, but also encourages service innovation and increases the competitiveness of PT XYZ in the inspection and certification services industry.

Fractures are conditions of discontinuation of bone or cartilage, either partially or completely, which often require surgical treatment. One of the commonly used procedures is Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF), which is an open surgical procedure with the installation of fixation tools such as pins, screws, and plates to repair broken bones. This procedure generally causes postoperative pain that needs to be treated effectively. Pain management can be done through pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. Lavender aromatherapy is one of the non-pharmacological methods that has the potential to provide a relaxing and analgesic effect. This study aims to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on the level of pain in patients after ORIF surgery. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a Quasi Experiment design. The sampling technique was carried out in total sampling with a total of 28 respondents post-operative ORIF patients at Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal Hospital. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to determine the difference in pain levels before and after the administration of aromatherapy. The results showed a p value of 0.000, which indicated a significant influence between the administration of lavender aromatherapy on the reduction of the patient's pain level. The conclusion of this study is that lavender aromatherapy is effective in reducing the intensity of postoperative pain of ORIF, so that it can be used as an alternative to nonpharmacological therapy in postoperative pain management. This study recommends the integration of aromatherapy in nursing practice to improve patient comfort.

The rapid growth of e-commerce has reshaped promotional strategies, shifting them from traditional methods to more interactive approaches. Among these, the introduction of Cash on Delivery (COD) and live streaming features on platforms such as Shopee has gained increasing attention as tools to influence consumer behavior. This study aims to investigate the effect of COD and live streaming on consumer purchase decisions at the thrift hat store Trouble.Caps in Bekasi City. A quantitative research design was employed with 100 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique, ensuring that all available participants were included. Data were gathered through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, and subsequently analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption testing, t-tests, f-tests, and the coefficient of determination, assisted by SPSS version 25. The results reveal that both COD and live streaming exert significant partial effects on purchase decisions, each showing a significance value of 0.000. Furthermore, simultaneous testing indicates that these variables collectively influence consumer decisions, with an R Square value of 0.751. This implies that 75.1% of the variation in purchase decisions is explained by COD and live streaming, while the remaining 24.9% is influenced by other factors. The findings underscore the strategic importance of integrating COD and live streaming as complementary features to build consumer trust, enhance interactivity, and increase purchase intention in online retail businesses.

This study aims to examine the influence of three main factors—Campus Environment (X1), Learning Media (X2), and Campus Facilities (X3)—on Student Learning Motivation (Y) at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Budi Luhur University, South Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative design with a probability sampling approach using simple random sampling to ensure each student had an equal chance of being selected. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to regular students of the Class of 2023, with a total sample size of 85 respondents. Descriptive analysis was conducted to summarize the primary data, while multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 22 served as the main analytical tool. The regression equation obtained was Y = 28.218 + 0.580X1 + 0.656X2 + 0.147X3 + €, indicating that each independent variable contributes differently to student learning motivation. The results demonstrate that the Campus Environment has a significant partial effect on Student Learning Motivation, highlighting the importance of a conducive academic and social atmosphere. Learning Media also shows a significant partial effect, suggesting that effective and innovative instructional tools can enhance student engagement and drive. Meanwhile, Campus Facilities have a positive but not significant partial effect, implying that while facilities support learning, other factors may play a stronger role. These findings underscore the need for universities to optimize both environmental and pedagogical aspects to boost student motivation and performance.

Creative thinking skills are fundamental competencies to be nurtured in 21st-century learning, especially within science education. One promising approach to developing these skills is the use of an Etno-STEM integrated E-Module implemented through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The Etno-STEM integration seeks to link local wisdom and culture with the domains of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, thereby creating meaningful, contextualized learning experiences. This study aims to investigate the impact of implementing an Etno-STEM integrated E-Module through PjBL on students’ creative thinking skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with two classes: an experimental group using the Etno-STEM integrated E-Module and a control group using cooperative learning strategies. Research instruments comprised both test and non-test tools. The test instrument included objective-reasoned questions aligned with four creative thinking indicators—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—while the non-test instrument involved structured observation sheets to monitor learning implementation. Data analysis demonstrated that the Etno-STEM integrated E-Module using the PjBL model significantly improved students’ creative thinking skills compared to conventional approaches. This finding highlights the potential of combining local wisdom with innovative instructional models as an effective and culturally responsive strategy for advancing science learning aligned with 21st-century educational demands.

This study examines the implementation of care governance in environmental public administration by highlighting the role of non-human actors. Based on Actor–Network Theory (ANT), exploratory qualitative research was conducted in the densely populated area of Tanjungpinang (April–June 2025). In environmental management, success is determined not only by technical skills, but also by the capacity of citizens to manage digital documents, spatial data, and technological infrastructure. Through interviews, observations, and document analysis. This approach was chosen because it allows for in-depth exploration of complex, contextual, and previously unstudied social phenomena, especially in the context of care governance to involve the relationship between humans and non-human objects in the local government ecosystem. Findings show that flood sensors, digital SOPs, inter-agency WhatsApp groups, and monitoring dashboards function as actors that trigger, direct, and accelerate coordination and decision-making. The integration of sensors and dashboards automates early warnings and the distribution of instructions, enabling rapid response. Implications: digital systems need to be designed as administrative actors with ethics, accountability, and capacity building. This study concludes that the implementation of care governance in environmental public administration at the local level cannot be separated from the active role of non-human actors such as flood sensors, digital documents, and online communication systems. This community service research aimed to empower elementary school children’s creativity through fun, educational, and environmentally friendly activities. Conducted at Bimbel Arsal in Tolokan Village, the project focused on ecoprinting training on tote bags using local natural resources. The activity followed a three-stage implementation process: preparation, execution, and reflection. The preparation stage included coordination with tutoring teachers and the gathering of tools and materials. During the execution stage, children were introduced to ecoprinting and practiced the pounding technique with guidance from the KKN team. The reflection stage involved discussions, a question-and-answer session, and product evaluation. The results showed that the children successfully learned ecoprinting techniques, understood the environmental benefits, and expressed their creativity through unique and beautiful ecoprint designs on tote bags. Although challenges arose—such as difficulties selecting natural materials with strong color yields and technical issues during the beating process—the activity proceeded smoothly, thanks to the children’s enthusiasm, support from the tutoring center, and careful planning. Ultimately, the project proved effective in enhancing the children’s creativity, self-confidence, and environmental awareness. This activity not only empowered children but also contributed to promoting sustainable practices and fostering environmental consciousness among young learners. The success of the program highlights the importance of creative, hands-on learning activities in promoting both personal development and environmental responsibility.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the design industry by introducing innovative tools that enhance efficiency, creativity, and personalization in the design process. This article explores the impact of AI technologies on the practice of modern designers, from the early stages of idea generation to the final execution of projects. By analyzing case studies, conducting surveys, and reviewing recent literature, the study reveals that AI functions not only as a tool but also as a collaborator that expands the boundaries of human creativity. It allows designers to explore new possibilities and push the limits of traditional design processes. However, the integration of AI into design practices also raises important ethical and professional challenges, such as concerns about job displacement, data privacy, and the potential loss of human touch in the creative process. Despite these concerns, the findings highlight that embracing AI is crucial for designers to remain competitive and sustain their careers in the rapidly evolving digital era. Adapting to AI technologies, understanding their capabilities, and effectively incorporating them into creative workflows will enable designers to stay relevant and thrive in a landscape where technology continues to reshape the industry. This study provides insights into the evolving relationship between human designers and AI, offering recommendations for future research and practice in the field of design.

The rapid advancement of digital collaboration platforms has reshaped the way organizations manage communication, motivation, and performance. Microsoft Teams, as one of the most widely adopted tools, provides integrated features for real-time messaging, virtual meetings, and document sharing that enable employees to collaborate more effectively. This study aims to explore the impact of Microsoft Teams on communication, motivation, and employee performance at the Pratama Tax Service Office (KPP) in Langsa. A quantitative research design was applied using a survey method, with data collected through pretest and posttest questionnaires. The study involved a total population of 89 employees, of which 81 valid responses were analyzed. Data processing was carried out with SPSS version 25 to compare employee conditions before and after the use of Microsoft Teams. The findings reveal that the adoption of Microsoft Teams contributes to more effective communication, enhances employee motivation by simplifying coordination and task management, and improves overall performance. These results highlight the potential of digital collaboration platforms to strengthen organizational effectiveness, particularly in government institutions that require efficiency, transparency, and adaptability in their operations. The study further implies that maximizing the use of digital platforms can support long-term organizational goals in the context of ongoing digital transformation.

This study investigates the integration of conversational AI tools to enhance pronunciation, listening comprehension, and learner autonomy in second language education. An experimental design was implemented, involving pre-tests, post-tests, questionnaires, and interviews to evaluate learners’ progress after engaging in AI-driven conversation practice. The results indicate significant improvements in pronunciation and listening comprehension, with learners reporting higher confidence, motivation, and independence in managing their own learning. The discussion interprets these outcomes through the lens of second language acquisition theory, emphasizing AI’s role as an accessible conversational partner and its contribution to learner autonomy and lifelong learning. A comparison with previous studies reveals that this research not only confirms the linguistic benefits of AI-assisted learning but also highlights its transformative potential in fostering self-directed learning. The study concludes that conversational AI can serve as an effective complement to traditional instruction, offering both linguistic and motivational advantages for learners in the digital age.

Art education plays a crucial role in preserving and developing local cultural heritage, including batik. This study aims to examine the role of art education at SMK Negeri 4 Palangkaraya in supporting the preservation and development of batik culture. The focus of the study was on the learning process in the Batik and Textile Creative Crafts Program, specifically for eleventh-grade students. This study employed a qualitative approach with case study and descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included analysis of learning documents, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and direct observation of learning and practical activities. The results indicate that the art learning process at this school focuses not only on technical skills in batik but also integrates rich cultural content, such as the history of batik, the philosophical values within motifs, and the role of batik in local cultural identity. Through this approach, students are equipped not only with technical skills but also with a deep understanding of the cultural values inherent in batik. Furthermore, student involvement in hands-on activities and community-based projects provides space for innovation. They are encouraged to create contemporary batik designs that remain rooted in traditional motifs but are adapted to contemporary tastes. This activity also fosters a sense of ownership of cultural heritage and fosters creativity and independence. Thus, arts education at SMK Negeri 4 Palangkaraya has proven to play a strategic role in maintaining the sustainability of batik culture. More than just skills training, arts education is an effective means of building cultural awareness, fostering innovation, and strengthening local identity among the younger generation.

The digital competency gap between vocational school graduates and the rapidly evolving demands of modern industry has become a pressing issue in today’s workforce. One of the main challenges lies in the limited digital literacy and insufficient practical skills of students, particularly in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support productivity and creativity. This situation hinders the readiness of graduates to compete in an AI-driven labor market, where innovation and technological adaptability are essential. To address this challenge, a training program was designed for vocational high school students at Darma Siswa Sidoarjo with the primary objective of enhancing both their conceptual understanding and practical competencies in the utilization of AI technologies. The program adopted the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, emphasizing collaboration and active engagement between trainers and students. It was conducted through a series of interactive workshops that combined theoretical introductions with hands-on practice. Students were guided to explore AI-based platforms such as Ideogram for visual creativity, PixVerse for multimedia production, and Suno for AI-generated music. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pre-test and post-test instruments were used, focusing on the dimensions of knowledge, technical skills, and student confidence in using AI tools. The findings revealed that students initially demonstrated minimal awareness and limited practical ability in AI applications, as reflected in the pre-test results. However, post-test data showed a significant improvement not only in their technical proficiency but also in their enthusiasm to further explore AI technologies. Moreover, students gained increased confidence in producing creative outputs, transforming their role from passive consumers of digital tools into active and competent content creators. In conclusion, this participatory and practice-oriented training model effectively bridges the digital competency gap, enhances students’ job readiness, and fosters an innovative mindset.

This study develops Prezi-based audio-visual learning media aimed at improving motivation and economics learning outcomes for Grade X students at SMA X. The primary issue addressed is the low motivation and achievement among students due to the use of monotonous teaching methods and unengaging media. This research distinguishes itself by integrating Prezi’s Zooming User Interface (ZUI) with economics content, aligning with the independent curriculum and the Pancasila student profile. The study follows the Four-D Research and Development (R&D) model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate phases. Data were collected through needs analysis, expert validation, and a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. Two classes, each consisting of 36 students, participated in the study. The learning media developed integrates various components such as text, images, charts, animations, and audio explanations, creating a comprehensive and interactive learning experience. The media was validated and found to be suitable, practical, and flexible for classroom use. The experimental group using the Prezi-based learning media saw a significant improvement in their learning outcomes. The average score of this group increased from 43.472 to 86, showing a substantial gain. In contrast, the control group, which used traditional methods, showed a smaller increase in average score, from 43.056 to 66.389. These results indicate that Prezi-based media is an effective tool for enhancing students' motivation and learning outcomes. It provides an innovative and engaging alternative for teachers, making economics content more dynamic and accessible. The study suggests that integrating such audio-visual tools can play a crucial role in improving the quality of learning, fostering both student engagement and academic achievement.

This Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) assistance program aims to improve business capacity, strengthen branding, expand marketing reach, and provide formal legal status to MSMEs. Activities carried out include digital marketing training, assistance in creating e-commerce accounts, designing and delivering MSME logos, providing grants for sealing equipment, and assisting in obtaining a Business Identification Number (NIB) through the OSS system. The implementation methods include initial observation, activity planning, interactive training, direct mentoring, and post-activity monitoring and evaluation. These methods are designed to ensure that MSMEs are not only equipped with technical knowledge but also empowered with the practical tools necessary for success in a competitive market. The results of the activities show an improvement in the digital marketing skills of MSMEs, allowing them to reach a wider audience through social media platforms and online advertising. The creation of logos as brand identities has significantly boosted the recognition of these businesses, helping them establish a stronger presence in their respective markets. Additionally, the enhanced product packaging quality with the provision of sealing tools has led to better product presentation, which is essential in attracting customers and increasing sales. Furthermore, the acquisition of NIBs as business legal status has provided MSMEs with greater legitimacy, enabling them to access more formal business opportunities and funding options. This program has had a positive impact on the professionalism and competitiveness of MSMEs, which has been reflected in their increased ability to market their products effectively and efficiently. However, further assistance is needed in optimizing digital promotion, such as improving online advertising strategies, and fully utilizing NIBs for better business expansion. The presence of scattered waste in the environment has a significant impact on both environmental sustainability and human health. In Indonesia, the accumulation of waste has reached alarming levels, amounting to approximately 175,000 tons per day, or the equivalent of 64 million tons annually. Household activities are one of the main contributors, producing a wide variety of waste, including organic and non-organic materials. Poto Village is among the areas receiving particular attention regarding this issue due to the challenges it faces in waste management. Improper management of waste not only leads to air, water, and soil pollution but also increases the risk of various health problems within the community. One of the programs designed to address this problem is the 3R program, which emphasizes three main principles: reduce, recycle, and reuse. The purpose of this community service initiative is to improve public knowledge and awareness of effective waste management through the application of 3R practices. The activities were carried out in three main stages, namely preparation, education, and discussion through a question-and-answer session. The process began with a socialization activity that introduced the objectives, purposes, and sustainability aspects of waste management efforts in the village. The educational session was attended by 30 participants, consisting of housewives, farmers, and entrepreneurs, who represented key groups within the community. Furthermore, interviews with local cadres revealed that waste is collected weekly by garbage trucks, indicating the village’s commitment to environmental management. Participants responded enthusiastically throughout the educational sessions, showing a strong interest and positive reception toward the information provided. As a follow-up step, future activities could include hands-on training in waste management using available media and tools, which would allow participants to apply the concepts learned in a practical and sustainable manner.

This community service activity was conducted as an effort to introduce integrated learning innovations based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology using the Assemblr Edu application to teachers at SMAN 1 Leuwiliang, Bogor, and several other schools in Bogor Regency. This activity was motivated by the underutilization of interactive digital technology in the learning process, particularly in helping teachers visualize abstract material. The implementation methods included preparation, webinar promotion, webinar implementation, a brief technical training session on creating learning materials using the Assemblr Edu application, and guidance in designing AR-based learning content during the webinar. Participants were asked to create AR-based teaching materials using Assemblr Edu according to the subjects they teach. In addition to providing theoretical material, the implementation team also conducted hands-on practice to ensure participants developed the skills to create AR content independently. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participating teachers, with 85% of participants stating that the training was very helpful and that they felt more confident in integrating AR technology into classroom learning. Participants were also able to produce several prototypes of Augmented Reality-based learning media that can be used as interactive teaching tools. This activity not only improved teachers' technological literacy but also broadened their understanding of how digital technologies such as AR can be creative solutions to enhance the quality of learning and student engagement. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that teachers will become agents of change in utilizing innovative technologies to create more engaging, interactive, and technology-driven learning experiences that align with the demands of 21st-century educational technology. Additionally, this program serves as a strategic step to strengthen teachers' capacity in addressing future challenges in digital learning.

One of the most influential factors in achieving the desired look is the diameter of the curly iron used. Observations during an internship at a national television station revealed that different curly iron diameters, specifically 28 mm and 25 mm, produce varied results when applied to long straight hair. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of using 28 mm and 25 mm diameter curly irons in creating Hollywood Wave styles. The research employed a quantitative method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable was the Hollywood Wave styling technique, while the dependent variable was the styling result measured across three indicators: wave shape, wave durability, and wave volume. The sample consisted of students who had completed the Hair Styling course and had long straight hair, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, followed by normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing to ensure validity. The findings demonstrate that the 28 mm curly iron performs more effectively than the 25 mm in producing Hollywood Waves that are neater, longer-lasting, and more voluminous. Statistical analysis confirms a significant difference between the two diameters in achieving optimal styling results. This suggests that the larger diameter curly iron not only provides a smoother and more polished wave pattern but also improves the durability and overall quality of the style. The study contributes to hairstyling practices by offering evidence-based insights into tool selection for professional styling, particularly for achieving the Hollywood Wave look.

This community service activity was carried out in Dahu Village, Pandeglang Regency, with the main objective of introducing and implementing biopore infiltration hole technology as a simple and environmentally friendly solution to address waterlogging and organic waste management. Biopores are small-diameter vertical holes dug into the ground and then filled with organic waste, such as dry leaves, vegetable scraps, or food scraps. This organic waste will naturally decompose through a decomposition process, producing compost that is useful for fertilizing the soil. Furthermore, the presence of biopore holes can improve the groundwater absorption capacity, thereby reducing the risk of waterlogging and minor flooding around residential areas. During the implementation, we as students not only provided theoretical explanations through socialization sessions but also actively participated directly in the field. Together with residents, we practiced making biopore holes, starting from the stages of preparing tools and materials, the process of drilling the soil, and filling the holes with organic waste. This practical activity was designed to help the community understand the steps for making biopores independently and utilizing them sustainably. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding and awareness of the importance of easy, affordable, and beneficial waste management. The community is beginning to realize that waste processing does not always require large costs or complicated technology. Biopore holes have been proven effective in accelerating rainwater absorption, reducing household waste volume, and improving soil fertility. Beyond the environmental impact, this activity also strengthens relationships between students and villagers through the collaboration established during the biopore construction process. Thus, this program is expected to be the first step towards a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable village.

This community service program focuses on training teachers at SMKN 1 Malingping in developing formative assessment instruments using the Quizizz and Wordwall platforms. The main objective is to enhance teachers’ competencies in integrating technology into classroom assessment practices, thereby improving the quality of teaching and learning. Formative assessment plays a crucial role in the learning process as it allows teachers to continuously monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide timely feedback that supports both remediation and enrichment. By mastering digital tools such as Quizizz and Wordwall, teachers can design engaging, interactive, and effective assessment activities that align with curriculum objectives while also increasing student motivation and participation. The training was conducted through a workshop model, combining theoretical sessions on formative assessment principles with hands-on practice in creating and implementing online quizzes, interactive games, and customized learning activities. Teachers were guided step-by-step in account creation, content development, and analyzing assessment results for instructional decision-making. Feedback sessions were also integrated to address challenges and share best practices. The results of the training indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ skills and confidence in utilizing Quizizz and Wordwall for formative assessment. Participants demonstrated the ability to design varied assessment formats, adapt content to students’ needs, and effectively interpret assessment data to inform teaching strategies. Moreover, teachers reported increased student engagement when these platforms were implemented in classroom settings. This program highlights the importance of equipping educators with digital literacy skills that are relevant to 21st-century learning demands. The integration of Quizizz and Wordwall not only streamlines the assessment process but also fosters a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment. The experience from SMKN 1 Malingping suggests that similar training initiatives can be replicated in other schools to promote effective, technology-based formative assessment practices.
