Hypertension is a global health problem that plays a major role as a leading cause of premature death because it can lead to various serious cardiovascular complications, such as stroke, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. This condition is often characterized by complaints of severe headaches, especially in the nape of the neck, due to increased blood flow to the brain. In addition to medical therapy in the form of antihypertensive drugs, complementary therapies are also needed to support blood pressure reduction and improve the patient's quality of life. One method that has proven effective is slow deep breathing, a slow, deep breathing technique that helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce sympathetic activity, improve tissue oxygenation, and produce a relaxation effect that is beneficial in lowering blood pressure and reducing pain. This paper aims to describe the experience of nursing care for hypertensive patients using slow deep breathing therapy. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive with a case report design that is carried out through the stages of assessment, establishing a nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Research data were obtained through interviews, direct observation, and physical examination. The results showed that after three consecutive days of therapy, the patient's pain scale decreased from 5 (moderate pain category) to 2 (mild pain category), while blood pressure, which was initially at 196/122 mmHg, successfully decreased to 140/90 mmHg. These results indicate that slow deep breathing plays an important role in lowering blood pressure and improving the comfort of hypertensive patients. In conclusion, slow deep breathing can be used as a simple, safe, inexpensive, and effective non-pharmacological intervention, and is highly recommended for patients to practice independently in their daily lives to prevent worsening hypertension and optimize disease control efforts.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) that is left untreated can lead to serious complications, one of which is hypertension in hemodialysis patients. Intradialytic hypertension can impair quality of life and increase mortality risk. Benson relaxation therapy, which combines breathing techniques with the repetition of positive words, has the potential to lower blood pressure. The purpose of this research is to measured blood pressure during and subsequent to Benson relaxation therapy in hemodialysis patients. This quantitative research employed a pre-experimental methodological approach with a case study approach. The subjects consisted of 3 respondents selected from a population of 24 hemodialysis patients at a hospital. Blood pressure data were collected using a digital sphygmomanometer and analyzed descriptively. After three sessions of Benson relaxation therapy lasting approximately 10 minutes each, systolic blood pressure decreased with the maximum reduction of 18 mmHg and the lowest reduction of 2 mmHg, while diastolic blood pressure decreased with the maximum reduction of 20 mmHg and the lowest reduction of 1 mmHg. Benson relaxation therapy can reduce blood pressure in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Benson relaxation therapy may be considered as a non-pharmacological intervention to help lower blood pressure in hemodialysis patients. These results indicate that Benson relaxation therapy can significantly reduce blood pressure in hemodialysis patients. The therapy’s effectiveness in reducing blood pressure may be attributed to the deep breathing exercises and the relaxation response it induces, which helps to reduce the overall stress on the cardiovascular system.

Employee performance appraisal is an important process in human resource management that aims to evaluate individual work achievements based on certain criteria set by the organization. This process not only serves to assess the extent to which an employee meets work standards, but also serves as a basis for strategic decision-making, such as job promotions, bonus awards, and career development planning. However, in practice, CV. Surya Perkasa Makassar faces serious obstacles in the form of subjectivity in the assessment process, because the benchmarks used still tend to be based on the likes or dislikes of superiors. This causes the evaluation results to be less objective, inconsistent, and potentially reduce employee work motivation. To overcome these problems, this study aims to develop a decision support system for employee performance appraisal using the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic method. This method was chosen because it is able to accommodate uncertainty in the assessment, resulting in more objective, measurable, and consistent decisions. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a Black Box Testing method to ensure system functionality. The assessment criteria used include five main aspects, namely work quality, work quantity, discipline, responsibility, and cooperation. Data from these criteria is processed through fuzzification, inference, and defuzzification stages to obtain the final employee performance score. Test results indicate that all system features function as expected. The system is able to prevent data duplication, validate input, and produce accurate final performance scores. The implementation of the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic method has proven effective in reducing the level of subjectivity that typically occurs in manual assessments. Therefore, this system can be used as a reliable tool in managerial decision-making, both regarding promotions, bonus awards, and planning employee future career development.

Sangatta Central Market, one of the largest trading centers in North Sangatta, accommodates more than 750 traders and operates daily until midday, reflecting the high intensity of economic transactions in the region. Within this trading environment, Islamic business ethics play a pivotal role, particularly for Muslim traders, as they not only regulate commercial practices but also shape customer comfort and satisfaction. However, observations indicate that not all traders consistently practice ethical behaviors in line with Islamic values—for example, some neglect to maintain a friendly attitude such as smiling during interactions with buyers. This condition potentially reduces the quality of service and impacts consumer willingness to return. In response, this study seeks to analyze the influence of Islamic business ethics on consumer purchasing interest at the North Sangatta Central Market. The research adopts a quantitative approach by distributing structured questionnaires to a sample of 96 Muslim customers, complemented by direct observation and systematic data recording. The collected data were analyzed using simple linear regression to determine the extent to which the implementation of Islamic business ethics contributes to consumers’ willingness to shop. The results reveal a regression equation of Y' = 9.764 + 0.304X with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.299. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 29.9% indicates that Islamic business ethics significantly and positively influence consumer purchasing interest. In other words, nearly one-third of the variance in customer purchasing interest can be explained by the level of ethical business practice applied by traders. This finding implies that the more traders integrate Islamic values—such as honesty, fairness, and friendly interaction—into their daily business practices, the more likely consumers are to engage in transactions and maintain loyalty to the market.

This study aims to analyze the influence of training and work discipline on employee performance in CV. Nina Etik Garment Indonesia. The approach used is a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents who are permanent employees of the company. The independent variables in this study are training and work discipline, while the dependent variables are employee performance. The results of the study show that training has a positive effect on performance, but this influence is not optimal because there are still obstacles in the form of lack of understanding of the material by some employees. This shows that the effectiveness of training needs to be improved, both in terms of delivery methods, the quality of instructors, and the suitability of materials with work needs. Meanwhile, work discipline has been proven to have a significant influence on improving employee performance. Discipline factors, such as punctuality, compliance with rules, and responsibility for completing tasks, are important aspects that drive productivity. This research also found that undisciplined behavior still often occurs, such as being late or not complying with work procedures, which ultimately has an impact on decreasing the effectiveness of the company's operations. Simultaneously, training and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance, so these two factors need to receive serious attention from management. The practical implication of this research is the need for companies to improve the quality of training programs, both technical and non-technical, so that employees are able to master skills relevant to their work. In addition, the implementation of a more firm, consistent, and measurable work discipline supervision system is also an important strategy to form a professional work culture.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between parental social support and career exploration with career decision-making among unemployed young adults. Early adulthood, particularly between the ages of 18 and 25, is a crucial developmental period as individuals are required to become independent, build their identity, and determine their career direction. During this phase, many individuals face challenges such as career uncertainty and unemployment, making parental social support and career exploration skills important factors that can influence the quality of career decision-making. The subjects were job seekers aged 18 and 25, categorized as young adults. The sampling technique used probability sampling. The research instrument consisted of three scales: the career decision-making scale (29 items; α = 0.903), the parental social support scale (15 items; α = 0.893), and the career exploration scale (13 items; α = 0.921). Data analysis was performed using the Pearson correlation test to test the hypothesis, and reliability was measured using the Spearman-Brown method. The results of this study indicate a significant positive relationship between parental social support and career exploration with career decision-making among unemployed young adults. This finding indicates that the higher the social support provided by parents and the more active individuals are in exploring their career options, the better their ability to make appropriate career decisions. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of parental involvement in supporting children during the transition to the workforce and emphasize the need for intervention programs that systematically encourage career exploration among unemployed young adults. This is expected to enable individuals to develop more mature career decision-making capacities and thus be able to face the challenges of job uncertainty in the modern era.

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of compensation, work motivation, and work environment on employee turnover intention at PT. XYZ, Kimia Merak Division. This study is expected to contribute both theoretically and practically in the field of human resource management, particularly in reducing employee turnover. The problem of turnover intention is a crucial issue because it can have negative impacts on organizational sustainability, such as increased recruitment costs, disrupted productivity, and the loss of experienced employees. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. The study sample consisted of 75 permanent employees who have worked for at least two years. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used multiple linear regression to test the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that compensation, work motivation, and work environment each have a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. This means that the better the compensation provided, the higher the employee's work motivation, and the more conducive the work environment, the lower the tendency of employees to intend to leave the company. The findings indicate that improving compensation packages, enhancing employee motivation, and maintaining a supportive work environment are crucial strategies to reduce turnover intention. Based on these results, companies are advised to design fair and competitive compensation systems, create programs that enhance intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive work environment for employee performance. This way, companies can retain quality human resources and maintain operational stability.
