This study discusses the impact of coffee culture modernity on local economic development in Jember district, East Java. Coffee culture has become an important part of the lives of the people of Jember, but modernity has changed the way people enjoy coffee and has had a significant impact on the local economy. The existence of modernity has made a shift in people in Jember who initially drank coffee at coffee shops, now they prefer to drink coffee in modern cafes that are more prestigious. This can of course threaten the existence of simple coffee shops, because the capital they have is not large, making it difficult for them to keep up with the development of modern society that continues to develop all the time. In this study, we use the concept of the juggernaut modernity theory by Anthony Giddens, where in his theory it is explained that modern life is an uncontrollable world, where there is always a process of change that occurs on a large scale and with a deeper scope. This study uses a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. The results of the study show that modernity has quite an impact on the economy of the local community, such as the increase in employment due to the number of modern cafes to the emergence of the threat of alienation received by simple coffee shops.

Global warming occurs due to changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels, and also very extreme weather phenomena. These human rights are in the form of rights to life and health, where climate change can directly threaten the rights to life and health of humans. An increase in global temperatures can also cause the frequency and intensity of heat waves to increase, which can cause deaths and heat-related illnesses. In addition, changes in rainfall patterns can cause extreme flooding and drought, resulting in physical damage, disease, and loss of life. Water-borne and vector-borne diseases, such as malaria and dengue, are also expected to increase with climate change. Not only that right but there is also the right to food, where if there is a change in the climate, this can affect global food security. Changing weather patterns, such as increased frequency and intensity of droughts, floods, and storms, can damage agricultural land and reduce crop yields. This threatens the right to food, especially for communities that depend on subsistence agriculture. Additionally, rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns can affect crop productivity and livestock health, impacting food supply and food prices.

Factors that influence these conditions are geographical conditions, environmental conditions and economic development. Indonesia has a very large territory so it is difficult to evenly distribute the population. Uneven population distribution has positive and negative impacts on life. The positive impact is to encourage economic growth and improve infrastructure. The negative impact is social inequality, crime, and can trigger traffic jams.

This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of sustainable human resource management (HR) on organizational performance in the Kerinci tourism sector. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with HR managers, employees, and company leaders in the tourism sector, as well as direct observation in the field. The results of the study show that organizations that implement sustainable HR management experience increased employee productivity, workforce welfare, and business competitiveness. Training programs related to sustainable skills and employee involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives play an important role in increasing employee motivation and commitment. In addition, organizations that focus on work-life balance tend to have higher levels of employee loyalty and reduced turnover. However, the study also found that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Kerinci tourism sector still face challenges in implementing sustainable human resource management, mainly due to limited resources and lack of understanding of the concept of sustainability. This research recommends the need for collaboration between the government, companies, and local communities to promote sustainable HR management more broadly in Kerinci.

In the current era of globalization, many local communities throughout the world, including in rural Ambulu, Jember, are experiencing changes in values and customs due to global influences. The local cultural values of the Ambulu rural community are known to be very rich and diverse, but face challenges as a result of rapid globalization. This research aims to identify and analyze the impact of globalization on local cultural values in the rural community of Ambulu Jember, with a focus on how these values persist or change over time. This research uses a qualitative approach by applying contemporary theory from Michael Foucault to analyze the data. The focus of analysis in this research looks at how the discourse and practices of power in society change along with the introduction of global values and how local communities react to these changes. The research results show that the Ambulu community experiences dualism in maintaining local cultural values. On the one hand, there are efforts by the community to maintain old customs and values, while on the other hand, several aspects of local culture have evolved or even been eroded due to the influence of globalization, such as changes in language, social rituals and kinship systems. The impact of globalization on local cultural values demands more inclusive adaptation strategies and more strategic cultural preservation so that rural communities such as those in Ambulu can maintain their cultural identity while receiving the benefits of globalization.

This research explores the impact of the development of Captive PLTU infrastructure in Sulawesi on the lives of local communities from a sociological perspective. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, this research explores the social, economic and environmental changes that occurred as a result of development interventions by PT GNI and PT COR. Local residents experience a range of negative impacts, including air pollution, pollution and disruption to livelihoods that depend on natural resources. The damming of the Lampi River by the PLTU has also raised concerns about the potential for flooding and decreased air quality. Digital transformation has brought significant impact to the agriculture sector in Indonesia by improving operational efficiency, opening new market opportunities, and introducing the concept of digital farming and agriculture 4.0. Although the government has encouraged agricultural digitalization through policies and programs, farmers still face challenges such as land limitations, climate change, and limited market access. Collaboration between the government, private sector, and non-profit organizations is needed to support farmers' adoption of digital technologies to improve their efficiency, productivity, and welfare. Challenges such as lack of internet access, low digital literacy, and high technology implementation costs also need to be addressed through cross-sector collaboration. This research highlights the importance of synergy in capitalizing on digital opportunities and overcoming barriers in the digital transformation of Indonesia's agriculture sector.

Social media is the easiest place to share and get various information about the latest things that are currently being discussed and paid attention to by the public. However, as explained previously, not everyone can use social media well and wisely. This can be seen from the rise of hoax news spread on various social media platforms, be it Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter and so on.
