The Community Service Program (KKN) is the answer for students to face these challenges. Elementary school students' awareness of saving is still relatively low. Many students prefer to spend their pocket money on momentary desires rather than saving it. This condition indicates that financial literacy in children is still limited. The main objective of this socialization activity is carried out with an approach that is appropriate to the age of elementary school children, for example, such as games, simulations, or simple counseling. By using such methods, students not only understand the concept of saving, but also have a desire to do it. In addition, this socialization activity instills an attitude of independence and discipline. The socialization program was held as an effort to provide insight and instill awareness to students of Elementary School 014662, Gunung Melayu Plantation Village, Rahuning District, Asahan Regency, and was attended by students in grades 4, 5, and 6 regarding the benefits of saving. To facilitate student understanding, the team demonstrated the practice of saving by using piggy banks and money as concrete examples. After students received material on the importance of saving, the activity continued with a quiz session to increase enthusiasm and test their understanding of the newly presented material. The socialization of the love of saving program, carried out through the Community Service Program (KKN), has proven to be effective in fostering understanding and awareness among elementary school students about the importance of saving from an early age.

TK Desa Bagi 01, despite its high academic achievements, faces several challenges in teaching English, including a busy daily schedule, limited learning time, and restricted access to interactive learning media. This community service program was designed to address these challenges by introducing English literacy to young learners in a creative and engaging manner while simultaneously enhancing teachers’ skills in employing interactive and contextually relevant teaching media. The program employed several methods: observation of current teaching practices, planning and development of creative learning media such as flashcards, posters, storybooks, and puppets, implementation of learning activities through play-based approaches, and evaluation of student and teacher outcomes. The results indicate a significant increase in student enthusiasm, active participation, and comprehension of basic English vocabulary. Teachers also demonstrated improved creativity and confidence in using various teaching media to support literacy learning. This program shows that English literacy can be effectively fostered in early childhood using simple, locally relevant, and sustainable media. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of teacher development in enhancing the quality of English learning in rural school contexts. Overall, the initiative provides a practical model for integrating interactive English literacy education in early childhood settings with long-term potential for rural education improvement.

Public service is an essential element in the implementation of village governance, aimed at providing direct benefits to the community. In this context, the leadership of the village head plays a strategic role in determining the direction of policies and the effectiveness of services provided to the community. This study aims to analyze the influence of the village head's leadership on the quality of public service in Bongkot Village, referring to Law No. 25 of 2009 on Public Service. The research method used is juridical-empirical with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation related to policies and the implementation of public services in the village. The results show that the leadership of the village head in Bongkot Village is participatory and communicative. This leadership is reflected in openness to the aspirations of the community, the utilization of information technology, and the development of human resources to enhance the capacity of village officials. However, challenges remain, such as limited technological infrastructure that hinders more effective public service and the need for capacity building among village officials to carry out their duties more effectively. In conclusion, the leadership of the village head significantly influences the improvement of public service quality. Therefore, it is recommended that continuous training for village heads and their officials be conducted, along with policy support from local governments to create more responsive and efficient village governance.

This study examines the implementation of Fardhu kifayah counseling in Telagah Village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency, focusing on the social and cultural problems and challenges faced by the local community. Telagah Village is known for its rich history, strong traditions, and local wisdom that shape its social life. However, in the practice of handling the deceased, several issues remain, including limited community knowledge, lack of regeneration among younger members, inadequate facilities, and the absence of a designated team responsible for the Fardhu kifayah process. These limitations often lead to dependence on a few individuals who possess the necessary skills, creating sustainability concerns in the long run. Furthermore, cultural aspects such as conservative norms, gender role divisions, and deeply rooted customs influence how the community perceives and accepts Fardhu kifayah counseling. The study highlights that successful implementation requires not only technical guidance but also sensitivity to local values and traditions. Strengthening community participation and fostering collaboration between religious leaders and local authorities are essential to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of Fardhu kifayah education in Telagah Village.

For individuals and legal entities, land registration serves as the sole method to protect land ownership and ensure legal certainty. The foundation of land rights is based on Law No. 5 of 1960 concerning the Basic Agrarian Principles, which recognizes several types of land rights, including Ownership Rights (Hak Milik), Building Use Rights (Hak Guna Bangunan), Cultivation Rights (Hak Guna Usaha), and Use Rights (Hak Pakai). The primary objective of this Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat or Abdimas) is to educate the public and clarify misinformation circulating on social media. The educational initiative focuses on Government Regulation No. 18 of 2021, which ensures that long-standing land rights can still be registered through the “Recognition of Rights” mechanism. This discussion activity was initiated by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, which felt compelled to engage with the community in addressing issues related to land ownership and registration. Through this initiative, is hoped that public awareness and understanding of land law can be significantly improved.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a major challenge in today's health development. One category of these diseases is hypertension, which is classified as a chronic disease with a relatively high mortality rate. Hypertension serves as a major predictor for various chronic diseases and is a common disease found in the community (Putri et al., 2025). If not managed properly, hypertension can lead to more serious complications such as stroke, coronary heart disease, diabetes, kidney failure, and blindness. Stroke (51%) and coronary heart disease (45%) are the leading causes of death related to hypertension (Pokhrel, 2024). The increasing prevalence of hypertension along with changes in lifestyle and unhealthy eating patterns adds to the global health burden. Therefore, effective management of hypertension is essential to prevent further complications. Appropriate hypertension management and regular monitoring can reduce the risk of related diseases, improve quality of life, and reduce mortality caused by complications of heart disease and stroke. Preventive and promotive efforts through health education are key to reducing the prevalence of hypertension in the community.

Optimizing Branding and Digital Marketing as an urgent solution for local MSMEs, particularly Rengginang producer Ibu Saliem in Dolok Kahean Village. This MSME was previously limited to traditional marketing, which hampered market expansion and competitiveness. This community service aims to transform this local business to be competitive in the digital era. The method used is descriptive qualitative with stages of observation, socialization, and program implementation. The main intervention includes the creation of the Rengginang Huta brand identity with a professional logo design. This new logo combines elements of the business's heritage since 1989 and integrated contact information, which strategically increases the selling value and credibility of the product. The second pillar is the implementation of Digital Marketing through the creation of the Instagram account @rengginanghuta_ibusaliem. This account serves as a virtual storefront to overcome geographical limitations and increase reach to a wider consumer base. Intensive training was also provided on content strategies that focus on credibility, sales (Call to Action), and interaction. The results of this community service confirm that the integration of strong and authentic branding with digital marketing strategies is a key catalyst for MSMEs to transform and increase sales turnover. The next challenge lies in the sustainability of content strategies and independent account management by MSMEs to achieve optimal economic potential for Dolok Kahean Village.

This community service initiative was designed to empower housewives in Dusun III, Desa Pematang Sijonam, by introducing ecoprint as a sustainable craft and a potential driver of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The activity was motivated by the limited access to alternative livelihoods in rural communities and the increasing relevance of environmentally conscious products in contemporary markets. The program adopted a descriptive qualitative design, emphasizing participatory involvement through workshops and direct practice. Participants were guided to identify tannin-rich leaves from their local environment, arrange them on pre-mordanted cotton tote bags, and apply steaming processes to transfer pigments. The outcomes revealed that participants not only acquired technical competence but also demonstrated heightened creativity and confidence, producing distinctive motifs that carried cultural and ecological values. More importantly, the training raised awareness of the economic potential of natural resources that had previously been overlooked. This activity suggests that ecoprint is not merely an artistic expression but also a practical strategy for fostering women’s economic independence, stimulating rural entrepreneurship, and strengthening sustainable development at the community level

The findings of this study indicate that work environment, job satisfaction, and motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on the commitment of teachers and staff at Petukangan Selatan 01 Public Elementary School. This shows that a conducive work environment, such as adequate facilities, supportive colleagues, and a comfortable atmosphere, can increase the sense of belonging and loyalty among employees. Job satisfaction, which includes aspects such as fairness in rewards, recognition of achievements, and appropriate workloads, also contributes to strengthening work commitment. In addition, motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, plays a central role in encouraging employees to perform their duties with responsibility and enthusiasm. These findings also reinforce the importance of creating a balance between external factors (such as work environment) and internal factors (such as motivation and job satisfaction) to achieve strong commitment. Therefore, the implication of this research is that school management needs to continuously improve working conditions, develop fair reward systems, and provide opportunities for career development. By doing so, the commitment of teachers and staff can be maintained and even enhanced, which in turn will support the achievement of school goals more effectively.

This research is entitled "The Role of Si'o in Nias Traditional Marriage in Marindal I Village, Patumbak District, Deli Sedang Regency". The purpose of this research is to describe the duties and roles carried out by a Si'o in a series of Nias traditional marriage processions in Marindal 1 Village, and to identify and analyze the obstacles or challenges faced by a Si'o in carrying out his duties in the Nias traditional marriage procession in Marindal 1 Village. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that Si'o plays a central role as a traditional figure who is responsible for bridging communication between two families. Si'o is not just an ordinary spokesperson, but an official representative of the family, especially from the male side, who has full responsibility to convey intentions, organize the handover of traditional symbols, and ensure that all stages of the traditional procession run in an orderly, sacred, and in accordance with the rules that have been passed down from generation to generation. To ensure the continued role of the Si'o in the future, efforts to preserve traditional customs are needed through several key steps, such as involving the younger generation in every traditional ceremony and utilizing modern technology, such as video documentation and digital media. This research utilizes Max Weber's leadership theory, specifically traditional leadership styles. The role of the Si'o is a concrete form of authority derived from cultural legitimacy. This research aims to understand the dynamics of wedding traditions in Nias. By examining the role of the Si'o, this research provides new insights into how customs adapt to the modern context and their impact on cultural identity.
