Cooperatives in indonesia constitute the foundational pillar of the national economy and hold a constitutionally strategic position. However, their existence is currently under pressure from the hegemony of modern markets, which are dominated by large capital interests and the penetration of digital technology. This study aims to provide a comprehensive mapping of the internal strengths and fundamental weaknesses of cooperatives within the Indonesian market system through a systematic literature review. The analysis examines 24 selected scholarly journal articles published between 2019 and 2026 to ensure the data remains relevant to current economic dynamics. The synthesis indicates that the primary strengths of cooperatives lie in their social capital, the principle of kinship (asas kekeluargaan) which fosters member loyalty, and their potential for digital adaptation as a tool to mitigate economic recessions and the dominance of multinational corporations. Conversely, the findings confirm chronic, unresolved weaknesses, including low managerial professionalism, limited access to capital, and small economies of scale that hinder price efficiency in competitive markets. External challenges, such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and shifting consumer behaviors, demand that cooperatives undergo immediate structural transformation. This article concludes that the key to cooperative sustainability in the face of modern market hegemony lies in the implementation of agile strategic management, service digitalization, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships. Policy recommendations are directed toward reinforcing regulations that protect the cooperative ecosystem without compromising its inherent competitiveness within the market mechanism.

Food safety of fresh fish is an important concern because fish is highly perishable and may be misused with hazardous preservatives such as formalin. This study aimed to determine formalin content and analyze the relationship between length and weight of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and formalin levels in traditional markets of Gorontalo City. The study was conducted from January to February 2026 in five traditional markets, namely TPI Tenda, Moodu, Potanga, Andalas, and Sentral. Nile tilapia samples were analyzed using a formaldehyde test kit, and formalin levels were expressed in ppm. Total length and fish weight were measured, and the relationship between physical size and formalin content was analyzed using Pearson correlation. The results showed that all Nile tilapia samples tested positive for formalin, with concentrations ranging from 0.11 to 0.23 ppm. The highest formalin levels were found in TPI Tenda and Moodu, each at 0.23 ppm, while the lowest level was found in Sentral at 0.11 ppm. Fish length ranged from 19.43 to 25.61 cm, while fish weight ranged from 0.17 to 1.78 g. The correlations between length and formalin content and between weight and formalin content were both very strongly negative, with r = -0.97. These findings indicate that smaller fish tended to contain higher formalin levels. Market supervision, trader education, and formalin-free fish handling practices should be strengthened to protect consumer health.

Astronomy in Islam (Ilmu Falak) is a branch of science that studies the position of celestial bodies related to the implementation of Islamic worship, especially in determining the qibla direction and prayer times. In this simple study, an analysis was conducted on several mosques, namely Masjid Al-Huda, Masjid Bahrul Ulum, Masjid Besar Al-Muslimun Kepatihan, and Masjid several Besar Al-Falah Ngunut. The analysis was carried out by comparing the qibla azimuth with the direction of the building or prayer rows, as well as evaluating the suitability of prayer times used by the mosques with digital standard times and official prayer schedules. The method used in this study was field observation assisted by digital applications and online prayer schedule sources. The results showed differences in qibla direction deviation and prayer times in each mosque. The largest qibla deviation was found at Masjid Bahrul Ulum, while the smallest deviation was found at Masjid Besar Al-Muslimun Kepatihan. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the culinary sector face multiple competitive pressures encompassing product legality, consumer trust, and the effectiveness of value communication. This Community Service activity was conducted at Warung Sambal Cidero, a culinary MSME in Kediri City, from March 28, 2026, to April 25, 2026, using a Participatory Action Research approach with four cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Two main interventions were implemented: strengthening halal certification through supply chain audits, developing a Halal Product Assurance System, and assisting with SIHALAL-BPJPH registration; and improving price value strategies through consumer perception-based rebranding, value-based pricing, and optimizing digital marketing. The reflective evaluation confirmed substantive changes in the business owner's understanding of halal as a strategic business instrument, improvements to the raw material recording system, and a shift in consumer perception from a price-oriented to a value-oriented one. This activity contributes to the theoretical integration of the PAR approach and strategic management and marketing frameworks in the context of Indonesian culinary MSMEs.

This study aims to analyze the level of fiscal independence and dependence on central government transfers in the Ambon City Government during the 2019–2024 period. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from the Budget Realization Reports (LRA). The analysis is conducted through the calculation of fiscal independence ratios, transfer dependency ratios, as well as trend and annual growth analysis. The results indicate that the level of fiscal independence in Ambon City remains low and fluctuates, with a relatively small contribution of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) to total revenue. In contrast, the level of dependence on central government transfers is high and relatively stable, indicating the dominance of transfer funds in the regional revenue structure. These findings suggest that the region’s fiscal capacity is still weak and fiscal independence has not been optimally achieved. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed to enhance local revenue and to allocate transfer funds toward productive expenditures in order to strengthen the regional fiscal structure.

Social media platforms like TikTok have been utilized as a means of information dissemination and digital promotion due to their ability to reach a broad, interactive audience. However, the adoption rate of technology, particularly TikTok, among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jambi City is low. This condition is influenced by limited digital literacy, lack of understanding of technology benefits, and low readiness to utilize available features. The purpose of this study is to analyze factors influencing the decision to adopt TikTok by MSMEs in Jambi City by applying the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) model. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0, and involving 100 MSME respondents in Jambi City. The results showed that of the three hypotheses tested, one was accepted, namely organizational factors have a positive and significant effect on TikTok adoption. In contrast, the other two hypotheses were rejected, namely technological and environmental factors do not show significant influence on the decision to adopt TikTok. These findings suggest that internal factors, such as organizational readiness and support from business owners, are the main drivers of TikTok adoption by MSMEs compared to external factors.

This study explores the urgency of halal certification for food and beverage Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Indonesia following the implementation of Law Number 33 of 2014. Despite the enactment of regulations, various obstacles such as low halal literacy and bureaucratic complexity remain major challenges. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of Islamic religious instructors as agents of empowerment and da'wah (Islamic outreach) in assisting UMKM in their halal certification process. Using qualitative methods with a library research approach, data was collected through a search of relevant literature and regulations, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The study results indicate that Islamic religious instructors perform four crucial functions: literacy educators, access facilitators, motivators of Islamic economics, and policy mediators. Optimizing these roles can be achieved through capacity building, digitalization of mentoring, and integration of community networks. The study concludes that strengthening the role of instructors is essential to accelerate the implementation of mandatory halal certification and strengthen the Islamic economic ecosystem in Indonesia.

The development of digital technology and internet penetration are driving changes in consumer behavior and demanding that MSMEs not only adapt but also understand the operational motives and marketing channel integration strategies to face competition in the digital era. This study aims to examine the operational motives and technical adaptation processes of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali in integrating online and offline marketing channels through an omnichannel strategy to respond to intense market competition in the digital era. This descriptive qualitative research uses a multiple case study approach in three different MSME sectors: goods maintenance services, creative services, and fashion retail. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and a review of digital activities, then analyzed through single-case and cross-case stages. The results show that MSMEs optimize digital channels as instruments to expand reach and trigger consumer emotional engagement through a visual storytelling approach, while physical stores are crucially maintained as points of sensory validation. Functional integration has been proven to accommodate the shift in consumer behavior towards a hybrid decision-making pattern. In this pattern, consumers conduct information searches and initial evaluations online, but tend to shift to offline interactions to validate quality and finalize transactions to minimize purchase risk. In conclusion, cross-channel operational synergy has proven essential in boosting the competitive advantage of MSMEs.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly altered the landscape of business decision-making, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Despite their critical role in economic growth and employment generation, MSMEs frequently encounter substantial barriers related to technological adoption, digital literacy, and resource allocation. This research systematically investigates the utilization of artificial intelligence as a responsive innovation mechanism designed to optimize decision-making processes within the MSME sector. By employing a comprehensive systematic literature review methodology, analyzing peer-reviewed publications from globally recognized academic databases between 2018 and 2024, this study delineates the multifaceted benefits, complex challenges, and contextualized adoption strategies associated with AI integration. The findings reveal that artificial intelligence holds transformative potential for enhancing operational efficiency, refining predictive analytics, and sustaining long-term competitiveness. Conversely, critical challenges, including inadequate digital infrastructure, financial constraints, and organizational resistance, remain pervasive obstacles. Consequently, the study advocates for a gradual, responsive innovation approach that aligns technological adoption with specific business needs and environmental pressures. The insights derived from this research offer substantial theoretical and practical implications, providing a strategic framework for policymakers and MSME owners to accelerate digital transformation inclusively.

The internationalization of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) has become a strategic issue in addressing global economic dynamics, particularly within the framework of the Global Value Chain (GVC) in the digital age. Although Indonesian MSMEs have great potential to support the national economy, their level of involvement in the global value chain remains relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies for the internationalization of Indonesian MSMEs within the GVC in the digital age. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design, along with thematic analysis and value chain analysis techniques. The findings indicate that MSMEs are already involved in the GVC across various stages of the value chain—from raw material processing to global distribution—yet they continue to face numerous challenges, such as technological limitations, human resource competencies, production capacity, and international distribution networks. On the other hand, digitalization has proven to be a key factor in expanding access to global markets through the use of digital platforms. An effective internationalization strategy requires the integration of product innovation based on local resources, the utilization of digital technology, and the strengthening of global business networks. This study contributes to integrating the perspectives of GVCs, digitalization, and SME internationalization strategies into a comprehensive analytical framework, and provides practical implications for SME actors and policymakers in enhancing competitiveness in the global market
