The human development index is a way to assess the extent of the welfare of society in an area. Human development in Lampung Province is ranked lowest among other provinces on the island of Sumatra with a percentage of 70.45% in 2022. Departing from the geographical context of Lampung Province which is a vital route for economic activity between the islands of Java and Sumatra, this province has the potential to become a center distribution of goods and services at the national level. It should be able to increase employment and income in Lampung Province. So, it can reduce poverty and reduce unemployment. However, in reality, Lampung Province is still far behind other provinces on the island of Sumatra. The formulation of the problem in this research is how poverty and unemployment influence the human development index in Lampung Province. This research uses a quantitative type of research with a descriptive approach using panel data with a fixed effect model approach. The population in this research is data from the Human Development Index contained in the Central Statistics Agency of Lampung Province. According to the research results, X1 has a significant negative effect, X2 has no significant effect. The results of statistical tests state that the value of Prob. (F-statistic) is 0.000000. This means 0.000000<0.05, so it can be concluded that the independent variable (X) has a significant effect on the dependent variable (Y) simultaneously (simultaneously). Based on the results of the statistical tests carried out, an R-squared value of 0.984344 was obtained. It can be concluded that the independent variable has an influence on the dependent variable of 98%, while 2% is influenced by other variables outside the model.

Stroke is one of the leading causes of long-term disability worldwide. Stroke survivors often experience severe disabilities, particularly in their ability to walk and perform daily physical activities independently. Many are unable to ambulate without assistance, even after reaching a certain level of independence. These persistent impairments contribute to a decreased quality of life and increase the risk of long-term complications. This study aims to determine the self-perceived difficulty in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) among ischemic stroke patients. The research employed a quantitative descriptive design and involved 25 ischemic stroke patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected at Banda General Hospital using the Barthel Index (BI) assessment tool to evaluate the patients' level of independence in carrying out daily activities, both before and after receiving physiotherapy. The results showed that, prior to physiotherapy, 10 respondents (40%) were in the category of severe dependency, requiring significant assistance to perform ADL. Following physiotherapy intervention, there was a decrease in the number of patients in the severe dependency category, indicating an improvement in functional independence. These findings suggest that physiotherapy plays an important role in supporting recovery and enhancing the ability of ischemic stroke patients to carry out daily activities. Patients’ self-perceived difficulties are also essential indicators in designing more personalized and effective rehabilitation programs.

Human Resource Development (HRD) is one of the main priorities in realizing the progress of a region. The Human Development Index (HDI) is one of the indicators used to measure the quality of HRD. This study aims to analyze the quality of HRD in Gorontalo Province using the HDI as the main indicator. Secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) were analyzed to measure three dimensions of the HDI, namely health, education, and decent living standards during the period 2019-2023. The results of the study showed an increasing trend in the HDI across all regions, although at varying rates. Gorontalo City recorded the highest HDI value, reflecting better development quality compared to other districts. Meanwhile, North Gorontalo had the lowest HDI, although there was an increase from year to year. Further analysis showed that significant disparities in the dimensions of health, education, and per capita expenditure between urban and rural areas were major challenges. This study suggests the need for equitable development through increasing access to health services, quality education, and economic infrastructure to reduce disparities between regions. These findings are expected to contribute to more inclusive policy-making for HRD development in Gorontalo Province.
