Community-based tourism is a form of tourism development managed by local communities with the aim of providing direct benefits to the local population. Lubuk Mande Rubiah Subdistrict in Padang City has promising natural tourism potential, yet youth involvement in its development remains limited. This study aims to examine the socialization of the role of Karang Taruna (youth organization) in supporting tourism development in the area. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation and interviews with local youths involved in Karang Taruna. The results indicate that Karang Taruna contributes to managing ticketing, maintaining the cleanliness of the site, and initiating promotional efforts through social media. However, the lack of training and supporting facilities poses significant challenges to fully realizing this potential. The socialization efforts focused on strengthening youth capacity, increasing awareness of tourism promotion, and providing a sample digital product in the form of a promotional video. These findings imply that, with the right approach, Karang Taruna can serve as a driving force in building a sustainable tourism ecosystem rooted in local community participation.   Keywords: , ,

The role of leaders in da'wah institutions is very strategic in improving the quality of human resources (HR) who are the driving force of da'wah activities. Leaders function not only as directors of the organization's vision and mission, but also as facilitators of competency development, motivators, and role models in the implementation of da'wah values. This study aims to analyze how leadership styles, HR development strategies, and coaching approaches contribute to increasing the capacity of members in da'wah institutions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with interview techniques and documentation studies. The results showed that adaptive, communicative, and value-based leaders were able to encourage significant individual and collective capacity building. Effective strategies include regular training, mentoring, empowering individual potential, and creating a supportive organizational culture. Thus, the success of a da'wah institution in achieving its goals is highly dependent on the effectiveness of the leader's role in fostering and improving the quality of human resources.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a highly strategic role in economic development in Indonesia. According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, MSMEs contribute more than 60% to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employ nearly 97% of the total workforce. MSMEs also serve as the backbone of the national economy, particularly in creating new jobs and driving the economy in rural areas. Amidst the challenges of globalization and technological development, MSMEs are required to continuously adapt to compete in both domestic and international markets. With this program, it is hoped that MSMEs in Lewomada Village will not only be able to survive the competition but also thrive and become a driving force for the village economy. Furthermore, this program is also expected to encourage Lewomada Village to become a successful example of digital-based MSME development in rural areas. The goal of this activity is to equip participants from each MSME group with knowledge and expertise in marketing management and to provide them with the skills and knowledge to carry out their role as business actors professionally through digital marketing development strategies. MSMEs in Lewomada Village have significant potential for growth through digital marketing. Increased knowledge of social media, marketplaces, and digital marketing strategies provides new opportunities to reach a wider market and increase revenue. However, successful digital marketing implementation still faces challenges such as limited internet infrastructure, technical capabilities, and consistency in implementing digital marketing strategies. With proper management and ongoing support, MSMEs in Lewomada Village can develop and become more competitive in the digital era

The preparation of this scientific paper aims to analyze economic, social, environmental, and ecological issues that arise as a result of the interaction between mining activities and the existence of natural resources. This study employs a normative legal research method. Based on the findings, the mining activities of PT. IWIP in North Maluku Province have positive impacts that can support economic development. However, the adverse effects on the environment tend to be more significant. This is evidenced by water, air, and soil pollution caused by PT. IWIP’s mining operations in Central Halmahera Regency. According to the author, this is a very serious issue. The government’s ambition to make Indonesia a leading producer of nickel-based products has endangered the lives of residents in Central Halmahera living near nickel mining areas. These communities are forced to sacrifice their livelihoods, and even their health has been affected. Moreover, there is no accountability from PT. Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park regarding the environmental impacts, which are influenced by the new regulations that have been enacted. Article 88 of Law Number 6 of 2023, which ratifies Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 on Job Creation, removes the provision that previously did not require proof of fault. This change makes it more difficult for affected communities to prove the environmental pollution that has occurred.

This study analyzes the human development index, regional minimum wage, and labor force participation rate on poverty in North Sumatra in 2001-2023. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series obtained from the publication of the Central Bureau of Statistics. The analysis method used is multiple regression with E-Views software. The results showed that the human development index has no effect, the regional minimum wage has a negative effect and the labor force participation rate has a negative and significant effect on poverty, which indicates that an increase in the human development index tends to not affect poverty because it has a positive value. In contrast, the regional minimum wage and labor force participation rate show a negative and significant effect on poverty. Simultaneously, the human development index, regional minimum wage and labor force participation rate have a significant effect on poverty.

This study examines the impact of the Central Bank of Nigeria's monetary policies on the Nigerian economy, specifically how these policies can be applied to foster economic growth. The research employs multiple regression models as the primary statistical method to analyze the relationship between key variables: money supply, average price levels, interest rates, labor force, and their effects on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Using data from 1981 to 2008, the study applies the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method to assess these effects comprehensively. The findings indicate that monetary policy, as reflected by money supply, positively influences GDP growth and improves the balance of payments, while also having a negative impact on inflation rates. The study suggests that the Nigerian money market should introduce a broader range of financial instruments to cater to the growing economy’s needs. Additionally, the recommendations emphasize the importance of designing monetary policies that create a favorable investment climate by adjusting interest rates, currency rates, and liquidity management mechanisms. By fostering a well-regulated and flexible monetary system, the Central Bank can further enhance the economic stability and growth of Nigeria, supporting sustainable development in the long term.

This study aims to describe and analyze: The Contribution of Migrant Workers in Increasing Money Remittances and Achieving the SDGs.  The research is a qualitative descriptive analysis. The data analysis technique uses the technique developed by McNabb (2002), namely Grouping the data according to key constructs, Identifying bases for interpretation, Developing generalizations from the data, Testing Alternative interpretations and Forming and/or refining generalizable theory from case study. The results of the study show that migrant workers play an important role in the world economy, especially in developed countries as migration destination countries and contribute to the growth of the economy in their home countries, one of which is through remittances sent to their home countries. Indonesia is one of the countries that still sends migrant workers, where remittances from migrant workers are seen as one of the main sources of foreign exchange after petroleum. Migrant workers contribute to reducing the unemployment rate in Indonesia by: Increasing household income. Helping families left behind not work for a while. Increase family access to capital and credit for entrepreneurship. Encouraging a decrease in child employment rates Helping economic development in the region of origin. Encourage political and social change.  The use of remittances for productive activities is expected to increase investment in recipient countries. Remittances encourage improvements made by households in daily consumption, expenditure on education, health, and other expenses, so that it will affect economic growth. Remittances increase household incomes and are therefore a strong anti-poverty force in developing countries.  Not only that, migrant workers who return to their home countries (return migrants) also contribute to the economic and social conditions of their home countries. Remittances can contribute directly and indirectly to several SDGs. Remittances' contribution to the SDGs: SDG 1: Reduce poverty, SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth SDG 10.c: Reduce the cost of migrant remittance transactions.

Consumer dispute resolution in Indonesia is an increasingly relevant issue, considering the high dynamics of transactions that occur in the goods and services sector, including in the property sector. Consumers, as the weaker party in business transactions, often face problems related to the quality of goods/services received, delays, unilateral cancellations, or even failure in property development. Therefore, resolving consumer disputes is very important and requires adequate legal protection. This type of research is normative juridical research. Normative research is literature research by examining theoretical approaches and concepts that examine consumer disputes. Normative juridical research is legal research that places law as a building system of norms. Problems arise when consumers in good faith have paid all Down Payment obligations, but the business actor actually takes a unilateral decision to cancel the apartment construction project. Consumers who have invested funds amounting to IDR 307,530,900 are trying to get a refund, but the business actor does not show responsiveness and good faith in the refund process. This situation finally forced consumers to take legal action by filing a lawsuit with BPSK Medan City on December 5 2022. This case is a clear example of the application of consumer protection and the importance of BPSK as an alternative for resolving disputes outside of court. This decision also reflects the principles of justice and legal certainty in consumer disputes, where agreed consumers can obtain their rights through an arbitration mechanism.
