Abstract This paper discusses the image of women in Air Djenar Maesa Ayu's short story. This short story has a background in social life that occurs in society. This short story raises the main topic of women's struggles in living their lives after being abandoned by men. Social injustice like this creates various impacts such as subordination. This research uses descriptive analysis method. This study began with data collection using the mode of listening and reading short stories as a whole and then continued with data analysis using feminist study theory. This study shows that the short story Air by Djenar Maesa Ayu is included in liberal feminism. The results and discussion of this research are compiled based on issues related to women and the perspective of the reality of the text in short stories. The results of this short story analysis are divided into 3 concepts, namely: the image of women from the physical aspect, the image of women from the psychological aspect, the image of women from the social aspect. The story of the problems experienced in this short story is told through the character Saya. Based on the data and results of the analysis, the researcher describes the image of women in Djenar Maesa Ayu's short story Air through the social conflicts she experiences. Researchers add moral and social values ​​in this study. Researchers teach readers to respect each other as human beings through research on the short story Air by Djenar Maesa Ayu. . Fraction is one of the materials in mathematics subject in class VII odd semester, which students must master well. Because this material continues from elementary school. Fraction is related to every day, and many problems use the concept of fractions. The research aims to describe the errors according to Newman's procedure, which students carry out to solve the issues. The methods used in data collection were tests and interviews. The written examination was given to class VII 15 students as the subject. The test questions consist of 4 item description questions, then from the results of the written test of 5 students who made mistakes according to the Newman procedure. The results of research that have been carried out on students according to Newman's approach in solving fractions questions as indicated by the results of their daily tests, the most frequent error is the process skill error and encoding error with a percentage of 58,33%, the transformation error is 51,66%, comprehension error 41,66% and the last percentage of reading error 25 %. The causes of student errors include being unable to read correctly, not understanding fractions, and being unable to determine the formula or steps to use, such as making mistakes in the calculation process and writing wrong information or answers.

The general research objective is to obtain an overview of social problems in a film and their implications for learning in high school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, in which the researcher records carefully and accurately the data in the form of words, sentences, pictures, and videos contained in the film. The use of a descriptive qualitative approach in this study aims to describe social problems such as social problems of biological factors, economic factors, psychological factors, and cultural factors in The Flu film. Researchers found 51 social problems in the film The Flu and have described their implications for drama learning in high school. The most common social problems found are social problems of biological factors consisting of 21 data, social problems of psychological factors consisting of 20 data, social problems of economic factors consisting of 5 data and social problems of cultural factors consisting of 5 data. The Flu film provides many descriptions of social problems that can be used as knowledge for students at school. Therefore, in learning drama, this film can be used as an alternative teaching material, especially in discussions about examining storylines, act by act, and conflicts in drama texts in the form of scripts or stages and presenting plays in the form of stages or scripts.

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators who are members of opportunities for students to develop their potential so that all their potential can develop to the fullest. Through learning, students will acquire knowledge, skills, and character attitudes. The problem is that writing skills are much more difficult and more complicated than other linguistic aspects, namely listening skills, speaking skills, and reading skills. Another obstacle encountered in learning to write short stories comes from students. Students do not like short story writing lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Data was collected through document study/literature study and interviews. This study aims to overcome how students experience problems writing short story texts in the learning process. The results and discussion of the research are the Study Case Problems of Learning Short Story Writing in Lhokman, South Aceh by discussing several aspects such as obstacles when teaching both from teacher students and learning, learning solutions and strategies, evaluation in learning, student characteristics, and teacher efforts to overcome differences in learning.

Aritmetika sosial merupakan salah satu materi pada  mata pelajaran matematika di kelas VII semester genap yang harus dikuasai dengan baik oleh siswa. Materi ini menyangkut kehidupan sosial, terutama penggunaan mata uang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan yang di lakukan oleh siswa menurut teori Newman dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita aritmetika sosial. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data terdiri dari tes tertulis dan wawancara. Tes tertulis diberikan kepada 27 orang siswa dari kelas IXC, terdiri dari 5 butir soal uraian, setelah itu dari hasil tes tertulis diambil 5 siswa yang diperkirakan membuat kesalahan-kesalahan menurut Newman untuk menjadi subjek wawancara, setelah proses wawancara didapatkan bahwa 5 siswa tersebut membuat 5 kesalahan menurut teori newman yaitu kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami, kesalahan transformasi, Kesalahan Ketrampilan Proses. Kesalahan Penulisan Jawaban Akhir. Dan dianalisis juga jawaban dari 27 orang siswa dari kelas IXC di SMP N 2 Langowan dengan menggunakan teori newman dan mendapatkan hasil yaitu sering terjadi adalah kesalahan penentuan jawaban akhir dengan persentase sebesar 55,93%, kesalahan keterampilan proses 53,38%, kesalahan transformasi sebesar 49,15%, kesalahan memahami 33,05%, kemudian kesalahan membaca 32,20%.

Analysis of narrative structure as an intermediary in understanding stories as well as conveying messages and meanings through moral values, religious teachings and educative culture. The problem being studied is whether the script writer is able to reflect the elements of nature in the film series Avatar The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender in the characters. Natural elements which include water, earth, fire, air in the Avatar series The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, are the basis for the formation of the character's characters, these elements have a close relationship with natural elements that exist in Javanese human life and the embodiment of energy in human life. Java. The purpose of this study is to make it easy for readers to understand the symbolic character and understand the narrative structure, by using qualitative methods and as a theoretical basis that is considered appropriate to discuss it, understanding the narrative and natural elements reflected in the character of the characters is used a narrative structure approach, this approach its orientation is to study the systematic stages of script writing to get the essence of a story. In the narrative structure there are substances that relate to each other to form a series of stories including: 1. The structure of the first three acts contains set-up or introduction, the second act contains turning points and the third act describes the resolution or resolution. The interesting thing about this series is the discovery of story problems and conflicts that usually occur in the adult category but are translated into teenage figures and then packaged in a narrative structure that is easy for the audience to understand.

The goal of this study is to describe the focus of the research that consists of the characters in the film “The Pursuit of Happyness “by Gabriella Muccino. The data were taken based on the quotations that focus on the characters found in the film script and time sequence “The Story of My Life”. The research is analyzed by using the qualitative approach. The kind of characters is based on eight instruments, they are major, minor, protagonist, antagonist, flat, round, static, and dynamic. This study is conducted based on literature reviews by observing documents from the film. The film consists of 1 hour 57 minutes duration and 103 pages of the original script. The findings that are found based on the observation from this film were significant. The character instruments consist of Minor by 30% % at the highest position, then Protagonist by 20 %, static by 10 %, antagonist by 10 %, Dynamic by 10 %, Round by 10 %, and Major by 7 %. and flat by 3%. The conclusions showed that the character that emerged as the minor character that consists in this film makes this film more interesting. After analyzing this film, the writer concluded that this element emerged from the major character’s hard work and self-empowerment strength that builds the personal competence involving personal journey and process of understanding as the effect of many problems in his life.

One of Ahmad Tohari's short stories is The Bright House, in the collection of short stories Smile Karyamin (2013). The short story records the incident of electricity entering a village. As narrated in the short story, the existence of electricity has a significant impact on society, both positively and negatively. The positive side brings physical changes with the presence of lights and other facilities to support people's lives. On the other hand, this positive aspect has a negative impact, namely the "death" of culture and human aspects with the presence of technology which has an impact on changing perspectives and making them a market for advanced capitalism with the existence of technology and information. The formulation of the problem in this paper concerns the problems that exist in society related to the existence of technology and information after the presence of electricity which allows people to experience dependency and changes in mindset due to interaction with the outside world. This writing method is by showing forms of inhumanism in the short story. The theory used is the theory of postmodernism by Jean Francois Lyotard as explained by Struart Sim regarding the Inhuman condition. The result of this discussion is Inhumanism in rural communities caused by the presence of electricity as the initial foundation for the presence of technology in the form of the loss of cultural habits for the local community, both in terms of habits of responding to nature or new conflicts after the presence of electricity in society. This happens because of the presence of artificial life, replacing the role of nature which has been a part of people's lives like the existence of the moon. Access to information is obtained by the community after getting to know technology which presents new values and is different from the values they previously had as a communal society
