A research team at BCA KCU Veterans Company in Surabaya conducted a study to determine how job satisfaction and their participation in recognition and reward programs affect their performance at work. By sending a survey to 66 workers in the business sector, this study applied quantitative survey stages. Multiple linear regression evaluation was performed on the collected data. Workplace performance was the dependent variable, while factors such as salary, appreciation, and overall job satisfaction were the independent variables. The findings revealed that all three independent variables simultaneously impact employee productivity. Salary, benefits, bonuses, and incentives serve to motivate employees to work harder. Employees feel psychologically motivated when their efforts and achievements are recognized through awards. Job satisfaction makes people more dedicated and efficient. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.629 indicates that factors other than recognition, appreciation, and job satisfaction influence the remaining variation in employee performance, accounting for 62.9%. To motivate employees to perform at their best, this study highlights the importance of implementing efficient recognition and appreciation programs and creating a work environment that supports job satisfaction.

Birth certificate ownership is a fundamental right of every citizen and an essential requirement for accessing various public services. However, the coverage of birth certificate ownership in North Central Timor Regency has not yet reached the national target. To address this issue, the Department of Population and Civil Registration of North Central Timor Regency implemented the Mobile Service Program (Jemput Bola) as an initiative to bring civil registration services closer to the community. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Mobile Service Program in increasing birth certificate ownership in North Central Timor Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The analysis of program effectiveness was based on Richard M. Steers’ goal approach and strategic constituencies approach. The findings indicate that the Mobile Service Program is effective in expanding service accessibility, increasing the number of birth certificates issued, and facilitating public access to civil registration documents. The program also received positive responses from the community because it reduced barriers related to cost, time, and distance in obtaining birth certificates. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including low public awareness, incomplete administrative requirements, limited internet connectivity, and geographical constraints. Therefore, strengthening public outreach, improving coordination with village governments, and establishing measurable program targets are necessary to enhance the program’s effectiveness in a sustainable manner.

This study aims to identify and analyze the logical fallacies that arise in public conversations about environmental issues and natural resource management on Indonesian social media using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through scraping techniques using the Python programming language and subsequently analyzed using an informal logic framework to identify various forms of fallacious reasoning. The findings reveal the presence of multiple fallacies that substantially influence public understanding of causal relationships within environmental dynamics. These fallacies contribute to oversimplification, shifts in attention away from scientific evidence, and the emergence of distorted perceptions regarding structural factors in spatial planning and natural resource governance. This study contributes to environmental communication scholarship by emphasizing the importance of critical thinking literacy in improving the quality of public deliberation and supporting the formulation of evidence-based environmental policies.

Substandard housing remains a multidimensional urban problem because it intersects with structural safety, indoor environmental quality, sanitation, clean water, poverty, and the effectiveness of policy implementation. This study evaluates the implementation of the substandard housing improvement program (RTLH) in Lubuk Linggau City by integrating a technical audit of housing quality with an implementation analysis based on the variables of communication, resources, implementer disposition, and bureaucratic structure. A descriptive-evaluative mixed approach was applied through field observation, technical scoring of ten rehabilitated houses, document review, and structured interviews with regulators, field facilitators, and beneficiary households. The results show that the cumulative technical conformity index reached 3.325 out of 4.00, equivalent to 83%, and was classified as adequate housing. Structural resilience achieved the highest score at 88%, followed by space adequacy at 85%, natural lighting and ventilation at 80%, and sanitation and clean water at 75%. Five houses were classified as adequate housing, while five were classified as fairly adequate/light substandard housing. The implementation analysis indicates that clear practical communication and facilitator assistance strengthened structural quality, but limited financial resources, weak environmental-health prioritization, and administratively oriented supervision reduced sanitation and ventilation performance. The study recommends standardized septic systems, stronger post-construction technical verification, healthy-housing education, realistic unit budgets, and quality-oriented monitoring.

Reading and writing literacy is a fundamental competency that supports elementary school students’ learning success. However, the development of digital technology has changed students’ learning habits, with some students preferring gadgets over reading books. This study aims to analyze the reading and writing literacy skills of fourth-grade students at SD 3 Wergu Wetan in the digital era, identify factors influencing literacy skills, examine the impact of digital media use on literacy habits, and describe school efforts to strengthen literacy culture. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design involving fourth-grade teachers and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students’ literacy skills are categorized as fairly good, with a positive response percentage of 70.4%. Nevertheless, some students still require support in understanding reading materials and developing writing skills. Digital media influences literacy habits as both a challenge and an opportunity when used appropriately. School initiatives through the Wednesday Morning Literacy Program, visual-based learning media, and regular reading and writing activities contribute to strengthening literacy culture. Collaboration among schools, teachers, and parents is needed to optimize digital technology use while improving students’ literacy skills.
