Coastal women on Poteran Island, Sumenep, have an important role in the marine-based economic sector, especially in the seaweed and processed seafood industry. However, limited access to capital, technology, and markets are the main challenges in their empowerment efforts. This study aims to analyze the level of empowerment of coastal women in the industry and identify factors that support and hinder the development of their businesses. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with women entrepreneurs, participant observation, and related literature studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study indicate that the empowerment of coastal women in the seaweed and processed seafood industry has had a positive impact on family economic welfare, increased skills capacity, and strengthened their social roles in the community. However, there are still obstacles in terms of market access, policy support, and production technology that need further attention. Therefore, intervention from various stakeholders is needed to increase women's access to skills training, business capital, and policies that support the sustainability of their businesses.

Geopolitical tensions have evolved from peripheral risks to central drivers of global capital flows, disproportionately affecting Emerging Markets (EMs). This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric mapping of the academic landscape linking geopolitical dynamics, international finance, and investment in EMs. This study uses a dataset of 1,039 documents extracted from high-impact databases to analyze performance and conduct science mapping with R-Bibliometrix. The analysis covers publication trends, citation structures, and conceptual evolution over the last century, with a focus on the surge in literature post-2018. Results indicate an exponential growth in scientific production, peaking in 2024. The thematic structure reveals a shift from traditional debt crisis narratives (1990s) to contemporary concerns regarding sanctions, protectionism, and trade policy (2020s). Network analysis identifies three distinct clusters: (1) International finance and market mechanisms, (2) Political economy and development in the Global South, and (3) Institutional governance (IMF/World Bank). This paper bridges the gap between political science and financial economics by visualizing how international finance serves as the dominant anchor connecting developed economies (the USA and the UK) with key emerging markets (China and Indonesia) amid rising global fragmentation.

This study examines the relationship between interest rates, inflation, and investment, as well as their impact on economic growth. High interest rates tend to hinder investment by increasing capital costs, while uncontrolled inflation can create economic uncertainty that negatively affects investment decisions. Based on the Fisher Effect concept, the nominal interest rate is the sum of the real interest rate and the expected inflation rate, indicating that changes in inflation directly influence central bank interest rate policies. An analysis of various journals reveals that interest rates have a negative relationship with investment, while inflation can have both positive and negative effects depending on its level. If inflation remains stable, investment tends to increase; however, if inflation is too high, purchasing power declines, and investors seek safer assets. On a macroeconomic scale, healthy investment is a key factor in driving economic growth, as it contributes to job creation and increased production. Therefore, a balanced monetary policy is essential to maintaining inflation stability, interest rates, and investment growth to ensure sustainable economic development.

The Halal Industrial Estate (HIE) in East Java has enormous potential to capitalize on the global trend of increasing demand for halal products. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia is expected to seize this opportunity through regulations that support the development of HZs, which can not only improve the competitiveness of local products but also expected to contribute to overall economic growth. However, challenges in the development of HEC need to be overcome through close cooperation between the government, industry players, and the community. Socialization of the importance of halal certification and its benefits for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) should also be improved to motivate business actors. This study takes a qualitative approach and literature review to understand how government regulations can support the development of the halal industry in Sidoarjo. The findings show that with the right regulations, KIH can function as a halal industry center that meets local needs and can compete in the global market. The strategic steps recommended by the government include increasing local production capacity, strengthening the halal ecosystem from upstream to downstream, and creating a competitive market environment. With these strategic steps, it is expected that East Java can optimize its role in the halal industry.

Red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a freshwater fish known for its high tolerance to environmental conditions, low water quality, and ability to adapt well to various situations. Data from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries shows that tilapia production in Indonesia has increased significantly, from 1,172,633.38 kg in 2020 to 1,300,529.23 kilograms in 2021, with a percentage increase of 10.90%. The community strongly influences the local economy and food security. Tilapia farming is widely chosen because it has a stable selling price and fast growth. Many farmers have chosen Tilapia farming as their primary source of livelihood. This research aimed to study the socio-economic conditions, difficulties, and development opportunities of tilapia farming in the community. The results show that although this business contributes significantly to family income, there are several constraints, such as fluctuating market prices, limited access to technology, and low aquaculture skills. In addition, the success of aquaculture is also affected by environmental conditions and resource availability. Therefore, a development plan that includes training, access to capital, and improved infrastructure is needed to improve yields and the welfare of the tilapia farming community.
