Pregnancy is a natural physiological process that brings various physical and emotional changes, potentially leading to anxiety, especially among first-time mothers (primigravida). The level of anxiety often varies across trimesters, with higher anxiety levels commonly occurring in the first and third trimesters. Uncontrolled anxiety may negatively affect the labor process by increasing pain perception and disrupting uterine contractions.Previous studies have shown mixed results regarding differences in anxiety levels between primigravida and multigravida mothers, as well as its influence on labor preparedness. A preliminary survey conducted at Bidan Cikmah Lubis Clinic in Tanjungbalai City revealed that most third-trimester pregnant women were not adequately prepared for childbirth, which is suspected to be linked to high anxiety levels. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between maternal anxiety levels and childbirth preparedness.

Labor is the process by which the fetus and amniotic fluid are pushed out through the birth canal. During the birth process the mother will experience pain. Pain that is uncontrolled or excerssive and does not get proper treatment can cause problems with difficulty in childbirth. A non-pharmocological method that is quite safe was to determine the effect of giving warm compresses to labor pain in the active phase of the first stage of labor at Fatimah Banyuwangi Hospital in 2022. The research method used a pre-exsperimental one group pretest posttest on 30 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, namely pregnant women in the first active phase, singleton pregnancies, head presentations, term pregnancies, normal delivery plants, fetal interpretation between 2500-4000 grams, accompanied by their husbands or family. Data collection was carried out using the VAS observation sheet and warm compress SOP. Then the data is processed through the process of editing, coding, scring, tabulating and statistical analysis of the Wilcoxon test. The result showed that the level of labor pain before the intervention was mostly in the severe pain category by 53% and after the warm compress intervention there was a decrease in the pain level, namely in the moderate pain category by 70%. Wilcoxon test reslts Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05 means that there is a significant effect of giving warm compresses to labor pain in the active phase I parturition at RSI Fatimah Banyuwangi in 2022. Proper application of warm compresses according to the procedure gives a feeling of warmth and causes vasoconstriction so that labor pain in the first stage can be reduced. This method is safe and can be an alternative choice for midwives in the management of pain care during labor.

Pregnancy is a period when pregnant women experience physiological and psychological changes. Physical changes that occur during pregnancy can cause complaints or discomfort during pregnancy, which include physical discomfort during pregnancy including back pain, low back pain, difficulty sleeping at night/insomnia, and leg cramps. Meanwhile, psychological discomfort that can occur in pregnant women is anxiety and fear of facing the birth process. Anxiety is one of the psychological changes in the third trimester because it is getting closer to the birth process. Resulting in excessive anxiety during pregnancy can trigger abortion, premature birth, low birth weight, fetal defects, fetal growth retardation, and postpartum depression. Three out of five third trimester pregnant women who were encountered experienced anxiety approaching labor, namely sleep disturbances. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is a useful solution as a self-help medium that will reduce discomfort during pregnancy and help with the birthing process. When pregnancy enters the third trimester, the mother will experience increasingly serious and intense anxiety in dealing with the birth process.

Erysipelas is an infection of the nonnecrotic superficial skin accompanied by lymphangitis. This infection will cause a clinical picture in the form of well-defined erythematous plaques. Most cases of erysipelas are caused by bacteria, most often the normal skin flora such as Streptococcus bacteria but erysipelas can also be caused by S. aureus and group C or G Streptococcus. Erysipelas can occur at any age. Erysipelas is closely related to the patient’s physical condition and cellular immune status which underlies or facilitates the occurrence of infections, including chronic systemic diseases suffered by these patients, such as diabetes mellitus, immunocompromised states. The lower extremities are the most common predilection for erysipelas. Most erysipelas patients come for treatment with the main complaint of swelling, redness, and pain experienced by the patient accompanied by other complaints such as burning and itching which are predisposing factors to the occurrence of this infection. The diagnosis of erysipelas is based on anamnesis, physical examination and laboratory tests. The management of erysipelas is the administration of antibiotics and wound care.

Labor pain is a physiological response that occurs due to an increase in catecholamines that interfere with uterine contractions. Labor pain can be overcome with various alternatives. However, the lack of health promotion related to pain relief strategies causes the majority of pregnant women to lack information literacy on how to deal with pain relief during childbirth. This community service activity was carried out in conjunction with the KKN midwifery undergraduate students at STIKes Mitra Husada Medan in Desa Bangun Rejo, Tanjung Morawa District. The main activity program is to provide education to pregnant women who will give birth with counseling about pain relief strategies during childbirth. This community service method adopts action research steps. Evaluating the program using a questionnaire. The results of the community service which was attended by 10 third trimester pregnant women, it turned out that this activity received a good and positive response from pregnant women. Furthermore, the results of the evaluation of this counseling were obtained, 60% of pregnant women could understand and explain the definition of pain relief strategies and the goals of pain relief strategies, 70% of pregnant women could understand and explain the handling of pain relief strategies. It is hoped that village midwives can also provide health education to birth attendants about pain relief strategies that can be implemented.
