Meanwhile, The Logarithm of Natural to Total Assets (LnTA) is a metric for evaluating a company’s size.  Multiple regression analysis is performed utilizing SmartPLS 4.0 software to analyze the connection between these factors and the probability of experiencing financial distress. The findings indicate a significant negative association between liquidity (CR) and company size (LnTA) with financial distress. In contrast, profitability (ROA) demonstrates an insignificant negative correlation with financial distress. This study contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing financial distress in Indonesia consumer cyclical companies employs signaling theory to interpret the relationships discovered.

This research aims to identify the nature of the cash flow statement, methods of preparing it and its indicators. Identify the nature of profitability and explain its indicators, shed light on the topic of predicting the financial distress of economic units, the causes of distress and ways to treat it, and use cash flow and profitability indicators to help predict the financial distress of Iraqi industrial companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange in the second and third years preceding the financial distress. The research community is represented by the industrial companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange, which number (21) companies until January 2023, while the study sample is the Iraqi Engineering Works Company in order to apply the current research in it. The research reached several conclusions, the most important of which was that the increase in cases of financial distress to which Iraqi industrial companies are exposed is due to the lack of instructions or directives specific to the industrial sector and the failure to use financial indicators through quantitative methods and methods to predict financial distress before it occurs, and to determine what the financial position will be in the future.

This qualitative literature review examines the key predictors of SME recovery from severe financial distress, focusing on financial blockages, employee dynamics, and turnaround success. The study synthesizes findings from various sources to highlight how financial challenges such as liquidity shortages and limited access to credit hinder recovery, while government support and alternative financing offer potential solutions. Additionally, employee engagement, organizational culture, and strategic leadership are identified as critical factors in successful turnaround efforts. SMEs that foster innovation, adaptability, and retain key employees are more likely to overcome financial crises. The review emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach, combining financial relief, strategic leadership, and organizational resilience, for long-term SME recovery. The findings suggest avenues for future research on the interaction of these factors and their context-specific impacts.

This research analyzes the factors that influence managerial ownership, investment opportunity set (IOS), and financial distress on company value. Company value is a performance indicator that reflects public trust and the company has high growth potential in the future. This research utilizes secondary data which is analyzed quantitatively obtained from journals, articles and other related sources. The results of the study show that managerial ownership, IOS, and financial difficulties have various relationships on firm value. Managerial ownership can have positive, negative, or no influence depending on the managerial context. IOS has the potential to increase company value through the right investment opportunities, but can also have a negative impact if investments are made without good planning. Financial distress, on the other hand, can reduce company value if poor financial conditions are not handled with the right strategy. This research reveals in depth the importance of managing these factors to increase company value, while also showing the need for further research to identify relevant moderating factors.

Taxes play an important role in the economy as a source of state revenue that is used to fund various development programs. However, the practice of tax avoidance is often a challenge that is detrimental to the potential of state revenue and is the main issue in tax management. Researchers compiled this scientific article with the aim of exploring the link between transfer pricing and financial difficulties in influencing tax avoidance practices. The method used is literature study by analyzing various journals, books and relevant research reports through online platforms such as Google Scholar and Publish or Perish. The data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach to identify patterns and understand the implications of the relationship between the variables studied. The results of the research findings suggest that the relationship between transfer prices and financial hardship to tax avoidance is inconsistent with mixed results. Some analyses showed a significant association, while others found no strong association. These findings indicate that the influence is situational and dependent on the characteristics of the company, thus expanding the understanding of the factors that affect tax avoidance and serving as a basis for further research.

This article aims to review the literature related to the role of financial distress risk in the relationship between leverage and a company's financial performance. Although leverage is often used to support expansion and increase profits, its presence also has the potential to increase the risk of financial distress which can have a negative impact on the company's financial performance. This study uses a literature review approach, which involves the process of identifying, assessing, and interpreting evidence from previous studies to answer existing research questions. Overall, effective financial distress risk management can have a positive impact on the stability of a company's financial performance. However, challenges related to leverage management remain a major concern. Therefore, further research is needed to identify optimal strategies that companies can implement in mitigating financial distress risk and improving financial performance.   Keywords: , ,

The objective of this study is to investigate and gather empirical data about the impact of leverage, firm size, and cash flow on financial distress in construction companies that are listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange between 2018 and 2022. Research data is evaluated using logistic regression using SPSS 23 for Windows, using secondary data gathered from the company's annual financial reports and official website. According to the study's findings, three factors significantly influence financial distress: 1) leverage has no effect; 2) firm size has a negative effect; and 3) cash flow has no effect. The results of this research can be used as a basis for taking corrective action if there are indications that the company is experiencing financial distress. Thus, to better manage the firm's financial risks, even though company size is the only major element, management should nevertheless keep an eye on other factors like liquidity and cash flow.

Akuntansi Pajak dan Kebijakan Ekonomi Digital 2024 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This research is motivated by the drastic decline in stock prices of technology companies in 2022, which reflects heavy financial pressure and deteriorating financial performance until June 2023. This condition raises the potential risk of financial crisis or financial distress. This study aims to examine the effect of cash flow operating, leverage, liquidity, and profitability on financial risk in technology subsector manufacturing companies listed on the IDX during the 2020-2023 period. A quantitative approach with secondary data of company financial reports that have been audited and published by the IDX is used in this study. The purposive sampling technique was applied to select 19 companies as samples from a total of 49 companies. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS software. The results of this study indicate that cash flow operating has no significant effect on financial distress (p> 0.05). In contrast, leverage has a significant positive effect (p < 0.05), while liquidity (current ratio) and profitability (ROA) have a significant negative effect on financial distress (p < 0.05). High leverage increases financial risk, while high liquidity and profitability can reduce the risk of financial distress in technology companies.
