This study aims to examine the theological concept of Imago Dei (Image of God) and its implications for the lives of believers. The formulation of the problem includes three aspects: general understanding of Imago Dei, theological review of the concept, and its application in the context of contemporary Christianity. Using qualitative methods and descriptive analysis approaches, data were collected through a literature study of relevant theological sources. The results of the study indicate that humans, as creatures created in the image and likeness of God, have intrinsic value, dignity, and responsibility as representations of God in the world. Although this image has been damaged by sin, through the redemptive work of Christ as the perfect Imago Dei, the image can be restored. This restoration occurs gradually through the process of justification, sanctification, and glorification, which leads believers towards Christlikeness. This study emphasizes the importance of a theological understanding of Imago Dei as the basis for ethics, spirituality, and identity of Christians in a complex and pluralistic world.

Suffering is a condition where a person experiences pain or difficulty in living their life. Paul's words about "fulfilling what was lacking in Christ's suffering" raise the question that whether Christ's suffering on the cross was incomplete? And it is as if Christ's suffering was ineffective and limited so that redemption had to be completed or completed through Paul's suffering. However, Christ's suffering on the Cross was perfect, sufficient to atone for human sins and did not need to be fulfilled again. The thing that needs to be accomplished or fulfilled is suffering for the sake of preaching the Gospel, about Christ who was incarnated as a human, died as a ransom sacrifice and was resurrected from the dead. So everyone can know God through His power and resurrection. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The purpose of this study is first to "deliver a theological answer regarding the meaning of "filling up in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ" Second, to provide an important meaning that every believer must truly live in Christ, because the perfect redemption of Jesus Christ has been done to save mankind. The final result of the study on Colossians 1:24 provides the meaning that every believer is called to fill up what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ, namely, the suffering related to the challenges of preaching the gospel. Like Paul who was never free from suffering when preaching the gospel, but Paul remained joyful, and continued to preach the gospel. Likewise, we as believers should follow Paul's example so that the gospel can be spread throughout the face of the earth.

This article examines the concept of wisdom in Proverbs 1:7 as an ethical guideline for the growth of Christian faith. In the midst of modern challenges such as moral relativism, secularization, and the crisis of spiritual authority, a re-understanding of Biblical wisdom becomes a significant theological urgency. Through a hermeneutical-theological approach, this study integrates exegesis of the text of Proverbs 1:7 with contextual analysis and ethical reflection to show that the “fear of the LORD” is the epistemological and moral foundation of the believer's life. Wisdom, in the biblical sense, functions not only as a rational faculty, but also as a divine gift that shapes character, deepens relationship with God, and enables believers to live ethically in society. The results show that the growth of true Christian faith is reflected in an active spirituality and ethical actions that are rooted in a God-fearing relationship. Thus, Proverbs 1:7 is not only a theological basis, but also relevant as a practical principle in shaping an authentic and transformative Christian life in the contemporary era.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) says that the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples to preach the gospel and also applies to us as believers to carry out the Great Commission. In preaching the gospel, there are many risks and challenges that missionaries must face and most likely that is what makes most people afraid to preach the gospel, so they prefer to remain silent and keep the good news to themselves. We need to study mission figures who made their lives historic for others when they preached the gospel in a place. Through their experiences, they can give us motivation and enthusiasm to participate in preaching the gospel. The researcher will discuss an evangelistic figure named Nommensen. In his childhood, Nommensen once heard a story about a missionary told by his teacher named Callisen, since then he began to be interested in an event in the story, namely about the struggle to free backwardness, slavery of poor children. In general, Nommensen is known as a famous German evangelist in Indonesia. Because the fruit of his hard work was the establishment of the largest church in the Batak Toba ethnic group. Namely the Church called Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP). The success of evangelism carried out by Ludwig Ingwer Nommensen in Tanah Batak is one of the most prominent examples in the history of missions in Indonesia. This study explores Nommensen's evangelism strategy from the perspective of evangelism theology, by highlighting how his inculturative, educational, and social service approaches contributed to the acceptance of Christianity among the Batak people.

The state of Christ’s humiliation and exaltation represents two essential aspects of Christology, illustrating His journey from incarnation to ascension. Christ’s humiliation includes His humble birth, a life of suffering, and His death on the cross. In contrast, His exaltation encompasses His resurrection, ascension to heaven, and reign as the sovereign King over all creation. This study aims to analyze the theological significance of Christ’s humiliation and exaltation and their relevance to the lives of believers. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method, where primary data sources are drawn from biblical texts and Christian theological literature. The findings reveal that Christ’s humiliation is an act of obedience to God the Father and a means of human redemption, while His exaltation serves as evidence of victory over sin and death and the fulfillment of God’s plan of salvation. Furthermore, this study affirms that the relationship between Christ’s humiliation and exaltation has implications for the faith of believers, providing hope for future glory with Christ and calling them to live in obedience and perseverance amid suffering.

The Protestant Reformation had a significant impact on the development of Christian theology, especially in the field of Christology. This study aims to examine the thoughts of Martin Luther and John Calvin regarding the role of Christ in the process of human salvation. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study technique, which examines the theological works of the two Reformers. The results of the study show that Luther emphasized the personal relationship between humans and Christ as savings, as well as the real presence of Christ in the sacrament as a form of God's grace that can be experienced personally. Meanwhile, Calvin developed the concept of three placements of Christ as prophet, priest, and king which emphasized the overall role of Christ in salvation, and viewed the sacrament as a spiritual means to strengthen the faith of believers. Through this study, it can be concluded that Christology in the Reformation tradition provides a strong, systematic, and relevant theological basis for the development of contemporary Protestant teachings, both in doctrinal aspects and the practice of life of faith.

Sola fide is the main Reformed teaching that salvation is only obtained through faith alone, not through charity or good deeds. in the 16th century the practice of indulgences and the Catholic church's emphasis on good works gave rise to doubts in the faith, which later gave rise to the Reform Movement. In response, the reformers restored the principle of sola fide to protect believers in the Lord Jesus from doubts about their Faith. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of sola fide in strengthening believers' faith before reform skepticism, through a literature review of the writings of reformer figures. The results show that emphasizing God's sovereign grace, the sufficiency of faith for forgiveness of sins and assurance of salvation, and sola fide can strengthen believers' faith against attacks of skepticism. This understanding provides important insight for believers today about how to strengthen their faith in the face of increasing skepticism. This study explores the concepts of the visible and invisible Church using a qualitative approach with theological and historical methods. The invisible Church is understood as the true spiritual fellowship of all believers, known only to God, while the visible Church refers to the tangible institution that includes buildings, congregations, organizational structure, and leadership. Throughout Christian history, perspectives on the nature of the Church have varied—some emphasize its spiritual and universal aspects, while others focus on its organizational and institutional dimensions. Through the analysis of biblical passages such as Ephesians 1:22–23 and Colossians 1:18, along with theological insights and historical development, this study finds that a proper understanding of the Church must encompass both dimensions. Misinterpretation between these two concepts can lead to a limited understanding of the Church. The study affirms that the Church is not confined to formal institutions but is also the body of Christ comprising all true believers worldwide. By understanding the balance between the visible and invisible Church, Christians are encouraged to live in unity, strengthen their faith, and take an active and responsible role within church life. This understanding offers a broader perspective for living a more holistic and impactful faith life.

This research examines the significance of faith in Christ and obedience to God's word based on Hebrews 2:1-4. This passage delivers a strong warning not to overlook the extraordinary salvation revealed through Jesus Christ. The study seeks to explore the theological meaning and practical application of this message in the lives of believers, employing a hermeneutical method to thoroughly analyze the text, considering the historical, cultural, and theological contexts of the Letter to the Hebrews. The findings indicate that Hebrews 2:1-4 conveys a crucial message to humanity to attentively heed the Gospel and avoid influences that might lead them away from the truth. The passage highlights three key points: first, the supremacy of Christ as the ultimate revelation of God; second, the severe consequences of neglecting the salvation offered through Him, which is reinforced by signs, wonders, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, validating the authority of the Gospel. Moreover, the study stresses the need for an active response from believers to God's word through strong faith and consistent obedience. The conclusion reveals that faith in Christ and obedience to God's word are not only the foundational aspects of spiritual life but also an ethical response to the gift of salvation. In practical terms, Christians are encouraged to renew their commitment to living in accordance with God's word as a way to honor the redemptive work of Christ. This research contributes to the understanding of Christian theology and its relevance to daily life.
