Law No. 12 of 2006 on Indonesian Citizenship is a significant step in citizenship law reform, responding to the challenges of globalization and international mobility. This law adopts the jus sanguinis principle as the basis for determining citizenship, with limited application of jus soli to prevent statelessness. Children born from mixed marriages between Indonesian and foreign nationals are allowed dual citizenship until they reach the age of 18. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Law No. 12 of 2006 in the contemporary social and political context, and to identify the challenges that arise in its application. The research employs qualitative analysis and literature reviews from academic journals and empirical data. The findings reveal challenges such as complex bureaucratic procedures, lack of public awareness of citizenship rights and obligations, and inadequate protection for Indonesian citizens abroad. It is recommended that administrative procedures be simplified through digitalization, citizenship education be enhanced, and the protection of Indonesian citizens overseas be strengthened. These improvements are expected to enable the law to be implemented more effectively and to better respond to the needs of Indonesian citizens in the global era.

In the rapidly developing digital era, cyberbullying and cyberpornography have become big challenges, especially for generation Z. Both of these problems have significant negative impacts, such as mental and physical health problems and even suicidal thoughts. Therefore, preventive efforts are needed to tackle cyberbullying and cyberpornography. The Faculty of Law, Bangka Belitung University, through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, is carrying out outreach aimed at increasing the legal awareness of generation Z in Pangkalpinang City regarding these two issues. Socialization activities with the theme "Creating a Critical Mindset in Preventing Cyberbullying and Cyberpornography Through Strengthening Information and Legal Regulations" were carried out in several high schools, namely SMAN 1, SMAN 2, SMAN 3, and SMK N 5 Pangkalpinang. The socialization material includes legal regulations for cyberbullying and cyberpornography as regulated in Law no. 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and Law no. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography. Through this socialization, students understand the negative impacts and legal rules governing cyberbullying and cyberpornography. The results of the activity showed that the students were enthusiastic and gained new insight into the dangers and legal consequences of these two issues. Preventive activities like this, which involve communication between schools and parents, aim to reduce the risk of cyberbullying and cyberpornography in students' daily lives.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly become an integral component of modern education, offering significant opportunities to improve accessibility, efficiency, and personalized learning. This study explores students’ perceptions of AI in educational contexts, focusing not only on its practical benefits but also on ethical concerns, particularly regarding data privacy and social responsibility. Adopting a mixed-method design, the research collected data through surveys and classroom observations. The survey responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify trends in perceptions, while observation notes were thematically coded to capture students’ real interactions with AI applications. The findings reveal that students generally exhibit a positive attitude toward AI, recognizing its potential to enhance learning experiences by making education more accessible and efficient. However, the study also highlights that concerns over data privacy and the potential misuse of information remain central issues. Moreover, a notable gap exists between students’ appreciation of the practical benefits of AI and their awareness of ethical dimensions such as algorithmic bias and digital responsibility. This imbalance suggests that while students are ready to embrace AI as a tool, they may not yet be adequately prepared to address the broader ethical implications of its use. The discussion situates these findings within the framework of digital ethics, emphasizing the need for education systems to integrate ethical literacy alongside technological skills. By doing so, schools and universities can ensure that students are both technologically competent and socially responsible. The study concludes that although AI is welcomed in educational settings, greater emphasis on digital ethics education is essential to maximize its benefits and minimize potential risks. This research provides a basis for future studies on policy development and ethical practices for AI in the classroom.

The ease of access and availability of online game s on the internet opens up new opportunities as well as challenges. This challenge arises because not all online games are suitable for people to play. Many online games contain negative elements, such as violence, hate speech, and pornography. The provisions in Law No. 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 19 of 2016 on the Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions are the main basis for countermeasures in cyberspace. The type of research the author uses is Normative Legal Research (library research). This research is also called a document study conducted by examining library and secondary materials, especially written regulations or other legal products. The results show that the rapid growth of online gaming has led to serious problems such as the spread of hate speech, bullying, and pornographic content. The lack of clarity in regulations makes it difficult to enforce the law against criminals in the online gaming realm. To overcome this problem, collaboration between various parties is needed, with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of law enforcement, developing digital forensic technology, improving regulations, and increasing legal awareness among the public.

The phenomenon of hoaxes in the digital era has become a serious threat to social stability, democracy, and national security. Although the government has implemented various regulations, such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), the spread of hoaxes is still difficult to control. This article analyzes the development of legal awareness in overcoming hoaxes in Indonesia from a criminological perspective. With a literature study approach, this study highlights the weak legal awareness of the community as the main factor in the spread of hoaxes. Empirical studies show that political hoaxes dominate, with 55.5% of the total hoaxes identified in 2023, while 65% of hoaxes spread through closed WhatsApp groups. Criminological analysis uses several theories, such as the Theory of Crime Routines, Anomie Theory, and Differential Association Theory, which explain how weak social control and low legal culture make it easier for individuals to be involved in the spread of hoaxes. The results of this study recommend strategies to increase legal awareness through the integration of digital literacy in education, collaboration between the government and digital platforms, and strengthening policy-based regulations such as the NetzDG Law in Germany. With a systematic and data-based approach, it is hoped that public legal awareness will increase, so that it can reduce the spread of hoaxes and create a healthier and more responsible digital environment.
