The rise of online gambling has become an urgent social issue among South Tangerang adults, with Indonesia occupying the highest position as an online gambling user globally. This qualitative case study aims to explore the factors that cause adult involvement in online gambling, the recovery process of individuals experiencing addiction, and the role of local stakeholders in efforts to overcome it. The findings of the study revealed five main factors, namely the influence of friendships, situational pressure due to aggressive marketing, early winning experiences, misperceptions of winning strategies, and overconfidence in personal abilities. Recovery efforts undertaken by individuals include transformation of mindset, restriction of negative associations, elimination of access to online gambling platforms, increased spiritual engagement, and participation in productive activities. Meanwhile, stakeholders play a role through community education, collaboration with religious and community leaders, public awareness campaigns, and the provision of family counseling. However, this study found that there is no sustainable structured rehabilitation program. Therefore, this study recommends the development of comprehensive social intervention strategies involving professional psychological support and stronger enforcement of regulations to effectively address online gambling addiction.

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of the BERDES (Bersih Desa) Program as an innovative strategy to foster environmental awareness among elementary school students at SD Negeri 2 Demulih. The program was designed using a participatory approach based on the Participatory Action Learning Sistem (PALS) method, which engaged students as active participants in identifying problems, planning, executing, and evaluating real actions in their school and local community environments. The research found that active student involvement in cleaning activities, waste management socialisation, and collective reflection significantly enhanced positive attitudes and social responsibility towards environmental conservation from an early age. Despite challenges such as limited frequency of program activities and common misconceptions about waste classification (organic, inorganic, residual), the BERDES program successfully served as an effective educational tool that embedded environmental care values among rural youth. The findings emphasised the critical role of schools as centres for environmental character education that combine theoretical knowledge with practical engagement to address real environmental issues.

This paper examines Martin Heidegger’s philosophical thought, focusing on fundamental ontology as an effort to revive the question of the meaning of Being (Sein), which has been neglected in the Western metaphysical tradition. Heidegger criticizes earlier philosophy for concentrating primarily on entities (beings) rather than addressing the essence of Being itself. Through a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, Heidegger introduces the concept of Dasein as the distinctive mode of human existence characterized by reflective awareness of its own being. Dasein is understood as being-in-the-world, meaning that human existence is inseparable from its social, historical, and existential contexts. This paper discusses the existential structures of Dasein, including thrownness, facticity, care, temporality, and the distinction between authentic and inauthentic modes of existence. By emphasizing lived experience, Heidegger’s philosophy offers a profound and dynamic understanding of human existence beyond abstract metaphysical speculation. The paper concludes that Heidegger’s thought remains highly relevant for contemporary society, particularly in encouraging individuals to reflect on self-identity, freedom, and existential responsibility amid the complexities of modern life.

Understanding God in Christian education plays a crucial role in the moral formation of children, as the theological concept of God forms the foundation for values, character, and ethical actions, developed from an early age. In Christian education, the process of moral formation does not simply rely on rules or customs, but rather rests on the child's personal relationship with God as a loving, guiding Being, and the source of truth. This study uses qualitative methods with a library research approach to explore how the concept of God according to Christian theology can serve as a foundation for the comprehensive moral formation of children. The aim of this study is to analyze how God's attributes such as love, holiness, justice, and faithfulness can be applied in the educational process so that the moral values formed are not formalistic but grow from a deep spiritual awareness. The research findings show that a proper understanding of God helps children recognize moral standards rooted in God's character, develop ethical attitudes, and strengthen the internal drive to live according to His will. This research is also expected to contribute to Christian educators in developing theological, contextual, and effective learning strategies to continuously cultivate children's morality in accordance with the principles of the Christian faith.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a growing global health concern that frequently remains undiagnosed until advanced stages. Early detection through simple laboratory screening is essential to prevent disease progression and associated cardiometabolic complications. This community service program aimed to assess kidney function using serum creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), while increasing public awareness regarding CKD prevention. A total of 59 participants were included, with a mean age of 39.15 ± 15.39 years (range 16–75 years), predominantly female (74.58%). The mean serum creatinine level was 1.0 ± 0.19 mg/dL, and the mean eGFR was 91.08 ± 20.53 mL/min/1.73 m². Most participants demonstrated normal kidney function (28.8%) or mild decline (21.6%). A progressive reduction in eGFR with increasing age was observed, reflecting the physiological decline in nephron mass and renal perfusion. The program also provided education on kidney-protective practices, including optimal blood pressure control, diabetes management, adequate hydration, and avoidance of nephrotoxic agents. This intervention improved participants’ understanding of CKD risk factors and the importance of regular screening. In conclusion, serum creatinine and eGFR evaluation offer simple, accurate, and practical tools for early CKD detection, supporting promotive–preventive strategies to slow disease progression and enhance quality of life in at-risk populations.

This study aims to analyze the role of UINSU’s Community Service Program (KKN) students in enhancing Islamic entrepreneurial awareness among the residents of Pahang Village, Talawi District, Batu Bara Regency. The KKN program serves as a platform for applying academic knowledge while empowering communities through educational, persuasive, and participatory approaches. The students introduced fundamental concepts of Islamic entrepreneurship, including principles of justice, honesty, sustainability, and the avoidance of riba, gharar, and maisir. Through a series of activities such as seminars, micro-business training sessions, financial management mentoring based on sharia principles, and simple business model simulations, the villagers began to show improved understanding of Islamic economic values. Moreover, the active involvement of students created an inclusive learning environment that was accessible to various community groups. The findings indicate that the presence of KKN students contributed positively to cultivating entrepreneurial motivation, particularly among youth and micro-business actors. This improvement was reflected in changes in mindset, interest in initiating halal businesses, and increased awareness of applying sharia principles in daily economic activities. Thus, the KKN program not only provides practical experience for students but also offers a tangible contribution to strengthening sharia-based economic empowerment at the village level.

This study is entitled "The Role of the Indonesian Transport Workers Federation (FSPTI) in Defending the Rights of Stevedoring Workers (TKBM) in Padangsidimpuan City". The background of this study is based on the importance of the existence of trade unions as a forum for workers' struggle in protecting and fighting for the normative rights of workers as guaranteed in Law Number 21 of 2000 concerning Workers' Unions/Labor Unions. In practice, many workers still face employment problems due to their weak bargaining position, lack of legal awareness, and low protection from employers. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the role of the FSPTI of Padangsidimpuan City in defending the rights of Stevedoring Workers, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of Law Number 21 of 2000 on the implementation of trade union functions at the regional level. The research method used is empirical juridical, with a qualitative approach that combines primary data through interviews, as well as secondary data through literature reviews of laws and regulations and related legal literature. The research results indicate that the Padangsidimpuan FSPTI plays a strategic role in advancing the interests of TKBM workers through advocacy, legal assistance, and negotiations with employers and local governments. However, the implementation of Law Number 21 of 2000 has not been fully effective due to challenges such as limited resources, low participant participation, and weak enforcement of labor laws. Overall, the FSPTI has made maximum efforts to advocate for the rights of TKBM workers, but further government support and organizational capacity building are needed to further optimize the union's function.

Toddler age is often called the golden period because during this period brain nerve development occurs, especially myelination, as well as a critical period. The golden period can be achieved if toddlers' nutritional needs are optimally met. On the other hand, if babies and toddlers do not get the food they need, the golden period will change into a critical period, thus disrupting their growth and development. The level of education of parents will affect the health and well-being of children, because this is inseparable from the nutritional status of children. Mothers with a high level of education will have a clearer opportunity to absorb information compared to mothers with less or no education. With a good level of education, it is hoped that a mother will be willing and able to behave well in order to improve her child's nutritional status. This Community Service activity aims to provide health education on balanced nutrition to reduce stunting in the community, especially mothers with toddlers in Desa Cangguk, Kecamatan Tanah Pasir, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. This activity used a participatory approach involving lecturers, students, health workers, and the community. The results showed an increase in public understanding and awareness of stunting prevention. It is hoped that this activity will raise public awareness about balanced nutrition for children

This study aims to examine the use of piggy banks as a means of financial literacy education among elementary school students. Piggy piggy banks are seen as a simple but effective learning medium in instilling the habit of saving, managing money, and forming a frugal character from an early age. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research involves students, teachers, and parents as the main data source with interview and observation techniques. The results of the study show that the use of piggy banks not only increases children's understanding of the concept of money and economic value, but also fosters financial responsibility and awareness from an early age. Teachers play an important role in providing direction and assistance, while the role of parents is a reinforcement of the practice of saving at home. In addition, saving through piggy banks has been proven to increase motivation to learn, because children feel that they have financial goals that they want to achieve. Education through piggy banks is the first step in building a strong financial literacy foundation, so that children are used to planning their money wisely and consistently. Thus, piggy banks can be used as effective contextual learning innovations at the elementary school level.

This study examines the commodification of women’s bodies within environmental campaign content on digital media, focusing on a video produced by Pandawara Group that addresses textile waste issues. Although the campaign aims to raise ecological awareness, the visual emphasis on a female body particularly the exposure of a bra redirected public attention from environmental messages to sexualized interpretations in the comment section. This research aims to analyze how such meaning shifts occur through representation and audience interpretation. Using Sara Mills’ Critical Discourse Analysis, this study focuses on subject–object positioning and reader positioning in both visual and verbal elements of the content. The data consist of one campaign video and selected public comments on TikTok, analyzed qualitatively. The findings reveal that women are positioned as visual objects rather than active subjects within the discourse, while audiences are constructed as observers of the female body instead of interpreters of environmental issues. The recurring use of the phrase “content that unites the nation” further legitimizes sexualized readings and reinforces dominant gendered discourse. Importantly, the study finds that such interpretations are reproduced not only by male audiences but also by female users, indicating the internalization of dominant visual culture in digital spaces. This study contributes to gender and media studies by demonstrating that environmental campaigns are not free from gender bias and that visual representation plays a crucial role in shaping unintended meanings within social campaigns.
