The Balam Rabab Pasisia Children's Song is a folk tale from the Minangkabau people, West Sumatra, South Coast. It is said that the children's singing of Balam is a traditional healing process. In the past, someone from the family who was sick would be taken to a shaman (smart person) to carry out a healing ritual. In line with the development of the Balam Children's Song era, it has now entered the Pesisian rabab performing arts. Besides that, rabab is a performing art that tells stories about kaba from other folk tales. This is what prompted the designer to design the illustrated book ''Nyaniyan Anak Balam Rabab Pasisia''. There are still many among the younger generation who do not know the culture, traditions and folklore because there is a lack of information and dissemination is still not effective. The aim of designing the illustration book "Song of Children's Balam Rabab Pasisia" is to provide information to the Minangkabau community about the story of the Song of Children's Balam Rabab Pasisia, as well as a medium for preserving folklore in Minangkabau society. The design of the illustration "Balam Rabab Pasisia Children's Song" uses the glass box design method with the 5W1H analysis technique. The type of illustration used is a 2D semi-realist cartoon. The output of this design is a book measuring 18 cm x 18 cm which contains narrative and related illustrations to clarify the narrative and also add to the aesthetic value of the book. After carrying out a feasibility test, the results showed that the design was good starting from the colors, illustrations, fonts and layout. And it can be concluded that the Illustrated Book "Children's Songs of Balam Rabab Pasisia" was well received by respondents. In this design there is also supporting media which includes: posters, banners, bookmarks, e-books, t-shirts, tote bags, key chains, tumblers and stickers.

Diabetes mellitus is a serious problem in public health and one of the four priority non-communicable diseases that are of global concern (Dewi, 2022). The etiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus is insulin resistance, with higher than normal insulin concentrations required to maintain normoglycemia. When insulin production by pancreatic beta cells is inadequate to compensate for increased insulin resistance, blood glucose levels will increase. Secondly, pancreatic beta cell dysfunction occurs as a result of a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Lastly, environmental factors which also play an important role in the occurrence of DM are obesity, eating too much and lack of physical activity (Dewi, 2022). Diabetes mellitus was the direct cause of death for 1.6 million people in 2016. The latest data released by the International Diabetes Federation (FDA) shows that around 415 million people aged 20-79 years worldwide experienced diabetes mellitus in 2015. This figure is predicted will increase to 642 million people in 2040 with prevalence increasing from 8.8% to 10.4%. China, India and the United States are the three countries with the highest number of diabetes mellitus sufferers. According to the World Diabetes Foundation, from 2014 until now 382 million people in Indonesia suffer from diabetes mellitus. This number is predicted to increase to 592 million people in 2035 (Maria, 2021).

East Nusa Tenggara (ENT) is a province in Indonesia with diverse flora, including the diversity of local legumes. It has been extensively explored and reported in various scientific publications, especially the types of legumes, their nutritional composition, and their uses in local communities. However, few literature studies still comprehensively review the types of legumes, their nutritional composition, and their utilization in the local community of ENT. So, this literature review aims to briefly review the diversity, chemical composition, and use of local legumes from the dry lands of ENT. Various studies reported that Glycine max, Arachis hypogaea, Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek, Cajanus cajan, Vigna unguiculata, Phaseolus lunatus, Vigna umbellata, Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet, Mucuna pruriens (L.) DC, Phaseolus vulgaris L, Psopocarpus tetragonolobus (L.) DC, and Pueraria montana var. lobata (Willd.) Sanjappa & Pradeep nuts are commonly found in the ENT region, either cultivated by the local community or grown wild. Generally, local legumes in ENT have a relatively complete nutritional composition, which varies depending on the type of bean. The ENT's local people use local beans as a mixture of rice/corn and function as sources of protein. Future research is needed to explore the functional characteristics of each ENT local bean. In addition, it is necessary to develop formulations and other food products to utilize ENT's local legumes to diversify legume-based local food.
