This paper explores the critical role of government in maintaining fair and stable food prices, particularly from the perspective of Islamic economics. Fluctuations in food prices can significantly affect both low-income communities and farmers. Therefore, the government is expected to act proactively by implementing policies such as subsidies, setting fair price benchmarks, and monitoring distribution to prevent harmful practices like hoarding. In Islamic economics, justice is a core principle emphasizing honest and transparent transactions while strictly prohibiting exploitative practices such as usury and speculation. This study discusses how Islamic principles, including zakat and equitable distribution, can be integrated into food policies to build a more just and sustainable system. The findings suggest that governments should strengthen market oversight, improve public education, and develop community-based social programs to ensure fair access to food for all segments of society

This study examines the implementation of the Sigalovada Sutta as a form of ancestral devotion within the Nyadran Dauwang tradition practiced by the Buddhist community in Depok Hamlet, Java. Grounded in the understanding that religion and culture are deeply intertwined, the research aims to explore how Buddhist doctrinal values are actualized through local communal rituals and how these practices contribute to social cohesion, environmental stewardship, and cultural continuity. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with religious leaders, elders, and community members, and analysis of ritual documentation. Triangulation of methods and sources was applied to enhance the credibility and depth of interpretation. The findings reveal that Nyadran Dauwang consists of four interrelated components: communal cleaning of irrigation canals (Susuk Wangang), ritual journeys accompanied by offerings and food sharing, interfaith prayer gatherings, and Wayang Kulit performances. These practices embody key Buddhist values such as spiritual friendship, loving-kindness, compassion, ethical reciprocity, and collective merit-making, as articulated in the Sigalovada Sutta. The tradition also reinforces respect for ancestors, strengthens intergenerational bonds, promotes ecological awareness, and fosters harmony in a pluralistic religious setting. Rather than functioning as a rigid doctrinal text, the Sigalovada Sutta operates as a living ethical framework that guides communal life through culturally resonant forms. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that Nyadran Dauwang represents a contextualized enactment of Buddhist ethics that integrates religious teachings with local cultural heritage. This integration offers an important model for Buddhist religious education, cultural preservation, and community-based approaches to social and environmental sustainability.

Climate change represents an urgent global crisis that demands immediate and collaborative action. In Indonesia, youth have emerged as crucial stakeholders in the implementation of climate change policies. This study explores the strategic role of young people in advancing climate action, focusing on their engagement through two major non-governmental organizations: WALHI (Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia) and Greenpeace Indonesia. Adopting a qualitative library research method, the study examines secondary sources, reports, and publications to assess how these organizations empower and mobilize youth in climate advocacy. The findings highlight that youth are not passive observers but active contributors to climate governance. Through educational campaigns, social media activism, public demonstrations, and grassroots initiatives, young individuals raise environmental awareness, promote sustainable practices, and exert social and political pressure on government institutions. Their participation fosters democratic engagement, enhances policy responsiveness, and encourages the inclusion of long-term environmental perspectives in national and regional development agendas. Furthermore, youth play a critical role in bridging scientific knowledge with community-based practices, often initiating innovative and context-sensitive solutions tailored to local environmental challenges. Their digital literacy and ability to build networks across diverse societal sectors amplify their effectiveness in shaping public discourse and influencing policy outcomes. This study concludes that empowering youth is fundamental to achieving meaningful and lasting climate action. Their involvement strengthens both mitigation and adaptation efforts, positioning them as key agents of change who are not only directly impacted by climate change but also committed to securing a more sustainable and just environmental future for Indonesia.

A 52-year-old female patient presented to the non-communicable disease clinic at the Banda Baro Community Health Center with complaints of pain in the right toe joint for the past two weeks. The pain was described as severe, especially when touched or moved. The patient reported that the toe initially became red and swollen, but the redness had subsided by the time she arrived at the clinic. The patient also complained of feeling weak and occasional tingling in the tips of her toes. She admitted to frequently consuming chicken liver and other offal. She mentioned having experienced a similar condition previously, and previous examinations indicated elevated uric acid levels. She had previously taken allopurinol two years ago, obtained from the health center, to alleviate her symptoms. On physical examination, the patient's blood pressure was 120/70 mmHg, heart rate 87 beats per minute, respiratory rate 19 breaths per minute, and temperature 36.5°C. The patient was prescribed allopurinol 2x100 mg. Primary data was obtained through anamnesis and physical examination by conducting home visits, filling out family folders, and completing patient records. Assessment was based on the initial, ongoing, and final holistic diagnosis of the visit.  Interventions included education on the importance of clean and healthy living habits, avoiding risk factors, medication adherence, and preventing complications that may arise due to hyperuricemia.

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is essential for infant growth, immunity, and overall health. However, many breastfeeding mothers experience difficulties in maintaining exclusive breastfeeding due to improper breastfeeding techniques, low maternal knowledge, and lack of guidance from health workers. Proper application of breastfeeding techniques, including correct latch-on, positioning, and frequency, can improve breastfeeding consistency and prevent early weaning (Sari, 2020; Putri, 2021). Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of breastfeeding techniques on the consistency of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers at the Dambalo Community Health Center. Methods: A quantitative, pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted. Thirty breastfeeding mothers were selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria, including mothers of infants aged 0–6 months who were willing to participate and had no medical conditions preventing breastfeeding. Results: All 30 participants (100%) applied the recommended breastfeeding techniques after the intervention. Following the intervention, 27 mothers (90%) consistently practiced exclusive breastfeeding, while three mothers (10%) showed partial improvement. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant difference in exclusive breastfeeding consistency before and after the intervention (p = 0.000), indicating that the application of proper breastfeeding techniques significantly improved breastfeeding practices. Conclusion: The application of breastfeeding techniques has a significant positive effect on the consistency of exclusive breastfeeding among mothers at the Dambalo Community Health Center. Structured guidance and practical support from health workers, particularly midwives, are essential to improve maternal skills, reinforce proper practices, and ensure the health and growth of infants.

Cases of child sexual abuse in Indonesia continue to show an alarming trend and have serious physical, psychological and social impacts on victims. This research aims to analyze the legal and social implications of these criminal acts and formulate responsive and adaptive legal protection strategies. The research method uses a normative-juridical approach through a literature study, supported by secondary data from scientific journals, laws and regulations, and official reports. The results of the study show that although child protection regulations have been regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 and Law Number 12 of 2022, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as weak law enforcement, lack of assistance services, and low public legal awareness. Protection strategies based on the victim's perspective, community legal education, and utilization of digital technology are proposed as solutions. This research recommends inter-agency synergy and the strengthening of a legal system that is adaptive to social and digital developments

This literature study examines the construction of cultural identity through socio-economic practices in plantation ecosystems among the Acehnese, Malay, and Chinese communities in Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review of 42 selected sources (1990-2023), the research reveals that plantations function as sites of identity negotiation—dynamic arenas of cultural adaptation and resistance. In Aceh, the integration of Islamic values (zakat [alms] from plantations, meunasah education) and local wisdom (peusijuek rituals) mediates post-conflict reconciliation and identity transformation from "combatants" to "farmers" (Muchlis et al., 2023; Aulia et al., 2024). For the Malay community, the customary-territorial concept of bela kampung (communal defense) underpins resistance to authority fragmentation through gotong royong (mutual cooperation) and communal land allocation (Yunanda et al., 2024; Nasution et al., 2024). Meanwhile, the Chinese community develops invisibility strategies (e.g., land acquisition via family foundations, citizenship aliases) to convert legal marginalization into clan-based social capital (Irawan, 2016; Thung, 2018). Key findings highlight divergent identity sources: religiosity (Aceh), customary-territoriality (Malay), and clan social capital (Chinese). The study recommends integrating local wisdom into inclusive plantation policies and employing ethnographic approaches to examine identity intersectionality complexity.

Responsive public service plays a crucial role in building public trust in police institutions, particularly in handling citizen complaints. This study aims to examine the responsiveness level of Mojokerto Police Resort in managing public complaints and the factors influencing it. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection methods such as in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document studies. Participants include officers from the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT), Women and Children Service Unit (PPA), community members who have filed complaints, as well as community leaders and NGOs involved in overseeing public services. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman’s model, which includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal a varied level of awareness among the community regarding complaint channels, as well as differences in ease of access. Physical channels such as suggestion boxes and direct reporting at police stations are more familiar and accessible but face challenges related to communication effectiveness and evidence collection. Meanwhile, online platforms like social media and the official website are less recognized by the public, compounded by limited digital literacy and internet access in certain areas. Furthermore, the complaint handling process needs to be straightforward, transparent, and professional to ensure that the community feels respected and confident in the service. Factors affecting responsiveness include response speed, ease of access across multiple channels, and the professionalism of officers handling cases. Perceptions of transparency and openness in procedures also significantly influence community trust. Strategically, Mojokerto Police Resort has made efforts to develop digital complaint systems and enhance staff capabilities. However, further improvements are necessary in community education and awareness programs to increase familiarity and confidence in digital channels. The significance of high responsiveness is reflected in its strategic benefits, such as early identification of security disturbances, strengthening police legitimacy, and improving overall public service quality. Effective responsiveness fosters better relationships between officers and the community, enhances trust, and contributes to a safer and more orderly environment. Therefore, adopting modern, innovative, and technology-based complaint systems should be prioritized to reform police services. Overall, the responsiveness of Mojokerto Police Resort’s complaint handling system serves as a key indicator for the success of quality and equitable public services. By improving officer professionalism, infrastructure, and community outreach, it is expected that Mojokerto Police can enhance responsiveness, reinforce community trust, and deliver excellent, transparent, and accountable services. Such efforts not only improve the police institution’s reputation but also strengthen democratic foundations and social justice in the Mojokerto region.

Malaria remains a significant public health issue both globally and in Indonesia, particularly affecting high-risk groups such as infants, young children, and pregnant women. The increasing incidence of malaria is closely linked to environmental and behavioral factors. This study aims to examine the relationship between community behavior and environmental conditions with malaria incidence at the Arso City Health Center, Keerom Regency. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, allowing analysis of variables at a single point in time. The sample was selected through simple random sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between the habit of going outside the house and malaria incidence (p = 0.07). However, there is a significant relationship between the use of mosquito repellent and malaria incidence (p = 0.000). Similarly, using mosquito nets and gauze also showed a significant relationship with reduced malaria cases. Environmental aspects such as mosquito breeding sites and unsealed house walls were also found to be significantly associated with malaria occurrence. These results suggest that both behavioral factors—particularly protective measures—and environmental conditions contribute to malaria transmission in the community. Public health efforts should prioritize education on preventive behaviors and improvements in living environments to reduce malaria risk.
