The urgency of consumer protection in Sharia-compliant transactions has become increasingly prominent alongside the growth of the halal industry and rising public awareness of transactional justice based on Islamic principles. This study aims to formulate the theoretical and normative construction of consumer protection within the framework of Islamic law and to assess its compatibility with Indonesia’s positive legal system. Employing a normative juridical approach combined with a descriptive-analytical method, this research explores primary legal sources including Qur’anic verses, the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and scholarly opinions found in classical and contemporary fiqh al-mu‘āmalāt literature, as well as secondary legal sources such as Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, fatwas of the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), and relevant academic literature. The analysis is conducted through content analysis to extract the values of justice, transparency, and balance of rights and obligations within contractual mechanisms. This study finds that core principles such as truthfulness (ṣidq), disclosure (bayān), and justice (‘adālah) constitute the essential foundation of consumer protection in the Islamic legal perspective. The prohibition of gharar (uncertainty), riba (usury), and tadlīs (fraudulent misrepresentation) is not merely a moral injunction but an integral safeguard mechanism for consumer rights. Furthermore, the institutional presence of supervisory bodies such as DSN-MUI and Sharia certification mechanisms has proven to be strategic, though they continue to face challenges in implementation, socialization, and consumer literacy. The findings also indicate a substantial opportunity for harmonizing Islamic legal principles with the national legal system within the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening sectoral regulations based on Sharia principles, integrating fatwas into positive legal norms, and enhancing educational capacity for both business actors and consumers in order to realize ethical, equitable, and sustainable transactions.

Public service is an essential element that reflects the quality of governance in Indonesia, particularly in population administration, which includes the issuance of important documents such as ID cards (KTP), family cards (KK), birth certificates, and death certificates. Along with technological advancements, Indonesia launched the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on physical documents. This study aims to evaluate the positive public’s response of the IKD application in Singosari District, Malang Regency, as well as to identify the challenges and factors influencing the implementation of this policy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with approaches such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that although the IKD application facilitates the administrative process, there are still challenges such as a lack of public’s response, limited mobile device availability, and technical issues with the application. Socialization through social media and the improvement of operator capacity are key supporting factors for the success of the implementation. This study contributes theoretically to the development of E-Governance concepts and practically highlights the importance of digital education for the public. It is suggested that enhanced socialization for groups less familiar with technology, improved supporting infrastructure, and training for service operators are necessary to ensure the success of the IKD application in population administration services in Singosari District.

The behavior of littering in tourist attractions is caused by many factors, such as: (1) Lack of socialization from the government, (2) Insufficient cleanliness facilities around the beach. People litter carelessly because the trash bins are located far away, which makes them dispose of waste around the areas where they sit and relax. (3) A dirty environment. The dirty state of the environment also serves as a reason for people to litter. The Community Service activity of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pelita Bangsa will be conducted online and offline (hybrid), located at the Cifest Culinary Market, Jalan Cibarusah Raya, Sukaresmi, South Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, and also via Zoom.

This research discusses the strategies implemented by the Sikka Regency Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) in increasing restaurant tax payments. Restaurant tax is one of the sources of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) that plays an important role in regional development. However, restaurant tax collection still faces various obstacles, such as low levels of taxpayer compliance, lack of education and socialization, and weak supervision and law enforcement. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that Bapenda of Sikka Regency implemented three main strategies to increase restaurant tax payments, namely conducting socialization to business actors, conducting petition tests to test the level of taxpayer compliance, and installing online recording devices (M-Pos) to monitor transactions. Although these strategies have been implemented, their effectiveness is still limited due to the lack of regulations governing the use of M-Pos and low taxpayer participation in socialization activities. Based on data from 2019 to 2023, the realization of restaurant tax revenue only reached the target in 2019 and 2020, while in subsequent years it decreased. Therefore, it is necessary to increase education, strengthen regulations related to the use of M-Pos, and stricter supervision so that taxpayer compliance increases and the tax revenue target increases.

Community-based tourism is a form of tourism development managed by local communities with the aim of providing direct benefits to the local population. Lubuk Mande Rubiah Subdistrict in Padang City has promising natural tourism potential, yet youth involvement in its development remains limited. This study aims to examine the socialization of the role of Karang Taruna (youth organization) in supporting tourism development in the area. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation and interviews with local youths involved in Karang Taruna. The results indicate that Karang Taruna contributes to managing ticketing, maintaining the cleanliness of the site, and initiating promotional efforts through social media. However, the lack of training and supporting facilities poses significant challenges to fully realizing this potential. The socialization efforts focused on strengthening youth capacity, increasing awareness of tourism promotion, and providing a sample digital product in the form of a promotional video. These findings imply that, with the right approach, Karang Taruna can serve as a driving force in building a sustainable tourism ecosystem rooted in local community participation.   Keywords: , ,

Minor wounds, such as abrasions, scratches, or small cuts, are commonly experienced by teenagers, especially in school environments. However, improper treatment of minor wounds can lead to infections and more severe complications. This study aims to raise awareness and educate students at SMP Negeri 1 Kairatu on the proper management of minor wounds. The research employs a descriptive approach with an interactive educational method involving presentations, discussions, and live demonstrations. Respondents in this study were students from grades 7 to 9. The results indicated that prior to the socialization, most students had inadequate knowledge regarding proper wound care, often resorting to inappropriate methods (e.g., using toothpaste or oil). After the educational intervention, there was an 85% increase in students’ understanding of proper wound management, such as cleaning wounds with clean water, applying antiseptics, and covering wounds with sterile bandages. The socialization program also successfully raised awareness among students about the importance of wound hygiene to prevent infections. Thus, this initiative proved effective in enhancing teenagers' knowledge of proper wound care practices.

Smoking remains a major public health issue that is difficult to address, particularly among adolescents. The rising number of young smokers is a concerning issue due to the long-term detrimental consequences it poses, both in terms of health, social, and economic aspects. Adolescence is a period of identity exploration and challenges, and unfortunately, many young people fall into the habit of smoking. The community service conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Seram Bagian Barat on october 17, 2024, aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking and prevention efforts. The activity involved socialization, interactive discussions, and pre-test and post-test assessments to measure participants' knowledge changes. The results showed an increase in students' knowledge about the dangers of smoking. Additionally, interviews with participants revealed that peer influence and family environment played a significant role in influencing adolescent smoking behavior. These findings support Bandura's Social Learning Theory, which states that behavior is largely influenced by observation of one's social environment. Efforts to prevent smoking among adolescents need to involve active participation from families, schools, and communities.

Education about reproductive health among adolescents in the form of counseling or socialization is an effort to increase the level of knowledge and awareness. This socialization aims to increase the knowledge and insight of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Seram Barat regarding the importance of reproductive health and personal hygiene. This activity was carried out using counseling and discussion methods using power point and leaflet media. The evaluation was carried out from  the pre-test and post-test questionnaires  that had been filled out by the students. The results showed that the level of reproductive health knowledge in adolescent boys and girls increased after the socialization of reproductive health and the sons after the socialization of personal hygiene. However, the level of personal hygiene knowledge in adolescent girls has not changed. This study examines the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards tuberculosis (TB) prevention efforts in the working area of the Geureudong Pase Health Center. An observational study with a case control design was conducted during the period September–November 2024, involving 31 respondents. The characteristics of the respondents showed that the majority were 21 years old (69.8%), male (37.0%), had an elementary education (36.7%), and worked as farmers (76.6%). Data analysis includes univariate and bivariate analyses. Univariate analysis was carried out descriptively using a frequency distribution table to see the distribution of respondent characteristics and research variables. Meanwhile, bivariate analysis uses chi-square tests to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and TB prevention efforts. The results of the study show that the level of knowledge has a significant impact on TB prevention efforts. Of the 30 well-informed respondents, only 1 respondent (3.8%) actually made effective prevention efforts. In contrast, as many as 25 respondents (96.2%) with a low level of knowledge had less prevention efforts. In addition, only 4 respondents (13.8%) had good prevention efforts overall. Statistical tests proved that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.000) towards TB prevention efforts. These findings show the need for educational interventions to increase public knowledge about TB and increase positive attitudes towards its prevention. Thus, increasing socialization and health education is an important step in efforts to control TB in the region.
