Diabetes mellitus (DM) is increasingly prevalent globally, including in remote areas such as Bajo Indah Village in the Soropia District of Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. This community service project aims to monitor blood sugar levels to prevent the onset of diabetes mellitus and facilitate early detection in the region. Obtaining licenses, collaborating with local officials, and preparing medical supplies constituted the employed techniques. The implementation stage involved outreach, interactive counseling, and blood sugar testing with a portable glucometer. Seventy-five individuals participated in the event on July 7, 2025. The findings indicated that 55 individuals (73.3%) exhibited normal blood sugar levels (≤ 140 mg/dL), while 20 individuals (26.7%) presented elevated levels (140–199 mg/dL). The findings indicate that individuals with elevated or diminished blood sugar levels require increased attention. Continuous education and referrals to healthcare facilities for additional treatment can mitigate complications associated with diabetes mellitus.

Illegal mining activities in Sebulu District have become a serious issue as they not only violate the law but also cause significant damage to public infrastructure such as village roads, bridges, and drainage systems, which are deteriorating due to heavy trucks transporting mining materials. Although Article 158 of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining stipulates strict sanctions, law enforcement remains weak. The main contributing factors are local community involvement, inadequate supervision by authorities, and social legitimacy that perceives mining as a normal activity. This study aims to analyze criminal liability for illegal mining offenders and to identify its social and environmental impacts in Sebulu District. The research applies a socio-legal approach that combines normative and empirical methods. The normative approach examines applicable legal provisions, while the empirical approach includes field observations, interviews with local officials and residents, and documentation of relevant regulations and events. The findings indicate that the most severe impacts are the deterioration of village roads and bridges and environmental degradation, such as changes in water color in nearby drainage channels. These conditions cause public concern and disrupt daily life. Weak law enforcement allows illegal mining to persist. Therefore, synergy among law enforcers, local government, and communities is needed to strengthen regulation enforcement and develop sustainable economic alternatives.

Bontang Kuala, a coastal village in Bontang City, possesses abundant marine resources, particularly bawis fish (Siganus canaliculatus). However, this potential has not been fully optimized to strengthen the local economy. This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening the local economy through the management of bawis fish products using the 4P marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion). This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods including observation, in-depth interviews with business owners and visitors, and field documentation. The findings indicate that business actors in Bontang Kuala have developed various processed bawis fish products, such as gammi bawis and dried bawis fish, marketed with pricing strategies adjusted to purchasing power. Most businesses are strategically located along the culinary tourism route, although accessibility challenges persist. Promotion strategies remain simple and limited to social media and local community support. Key supporting factors include raw material availability, high market demand, and community institutional support, while constraints include infrastructure limitations, suboptimal promotion, and raw material fluctuations. Overall, the management of bawis fish products has positively impacted community income and strengthened local economic identity. Recommendations include strengthening business infrastructure, enhancing digital promotion capacity, developing community-based business institutions, and expanding strategic partnerships among local actors.

This study aims to analyze the role of the Langga Sai Village Government in empowering the local product Rombeng Razong as an effort to enhance the village economy and preserve local cultural identity. Rombeng Razong is a traditional woven craft with high economic and cultural value, yet it has not been fully optimized. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the village government, community leaders, local artisans and youth representatives. The findings reveal that the role of the Langga Sai Village Government as a regulator has been realized through the issuance of Village Regulation No. 4 of 2020 on Local Product Protection. However, its roles as a motivator, facilitator, and catalyst have not been effectively implemented due to limited training, technical assistance, and market access. Low community participation and weak institutional structures also hinder the development of Rombeng Razong as an economic commodity. The study concludes that the success of local product empowerment depends not only on formal regulation but also on the effectiveness of village governance, community participation, and cross-sector collaboration. The village government must therefore strengthen its political role as a driver of inclusive development based on local potential.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of mangrove rehabilitation policies after Cyclone Seroja in West Oesapa Village, Kupang City, using Merilee S. Grindle's policy implementation theory and the principles of good governance. Mangrove rehabilitation is a crucial step in the recovery of coastal ecosystems affected by disasters, but in practice it often faces various obstacles, both in terms of institutions, coordination between actors, and community participation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with nine informants consisting of representatives of government agencies (DLHK, BKSDA), field supervisors, NGO administrators, RT heads, and local communities. Data analysis was carried out by referring to two main variables of Grindle's theory, namely policy content and implementation context, which were then combined with governance principles such as coordination, participation, transparency, effectiveness, and accountability. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the mangrove rehabilitation policy in West Oesapa does not fully reflect the principles of good governance. Coordination between actors is not optimal, community participation is still passive, and post-implementation monitoring mechanisms have not been implemented. The dominance of technical implementers and minimal community involvement in planning are major obstacles to achieving program sustainability. Therefore, strengthening collaborative governance and community empowerment is needed to ensure effective and sustainable mangrove rehabilitation.

Stunting is one of the chronic nutritional problems that remains a serious challenge in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas. This condition not only affects children's physical growth but also their cognitive development and long-term productivity. The low level of public awareness regarding balanced nutrition and proper parenting practices is a major factor contributing to the high prevalence of stunting. Therefore, community empowerment through village forums as a platform for advocacy, education, and cross-sector collaboration is essential. This activity aims to enhance the capacity of village communities to understand, prevent, and address stunting through participatory approaches. The methods applied include training for posyandu cadres, group discussions, and the establishment of village stunting forums involving community leaders, health workers, and local government officials. The results indicate a significant improvement in public knowledge and awareness regarding stunting prevention. The village forum also serves as a coordination center for policy advocacy and the implementation of nutrition programs at the local level.
