This study explores the role of principal leadership style in shaping the quality of 21st-century teaching skills among elementary school teachers in Indonesia, with particular attention to leadership practices, challenges encountered, and strategies for improvement. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at SD Negeri 90 Sampulungan, Takalar, South Sulawesi, involving the principal and teachers as participants. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings indicate that the principal primarily employed transformational and democratic leadership styles. These approaches motivated teachers by inspiring them with clear visions, serving as role models, and encouraging active participation in decision-making processes. Such leadership practices contributed significantly to teacher engagement and the overall school climate. Teachers, in turn, demonstrated competencies aligned with 21st-century learning demands, particularly through the application of the 4Cs: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. They also showed efforts in integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into their teaching practices and implementing interactive classroom management strategies. However, several challenges were identified, including limited availability of facilities, resistance among some teachers toward adopting innovative methods, and the heavy administrative workload that often distracted from instructional focus. To address these issues, the principal implemented various strategies such as organizing continuous professional development training, providing close supervision and mentoring, and offering motivational support to sustain teacher commitment. Overall, the study emphasizes the crucial role of transformational leadership in strengthening teachers’ 21st-century skills and offers practical implications for educational policy development, while also recommending future studies across broader school contexts in Indonesia.

The community service activity through KKN 15 UMRAH in Tanjung Uban Selatan Village, Bintan Regency, aims to emphasize the product identity of the KUBE Sejahtera MSME through packaging label design. This MSME previously experienced marketing problems due to simple, unattractive product labels that did not meet BPOM standards, making it difficult for consumers to recognize and compete in the formal market. KUBE Sejahtera consists of ten members offering various types of food products such as banana chips, potato chips, onion cuttings, cookies, and peyek. A participatory approach was implemented so that KUBE members not only received results but also actively participated starting from identifying problems, discussing needs, to designing labels using a simple application. The results of the activity showed an increase in members' understanding of the importance of labels as a marketing strategy, as well as the birth of new label designs that are more attractive, professional, and in accordance with regulations. Various products successfully developed new visual identities with more prominent names and appearances, such as Ketas Potato Chips, MaYure Sejahtera Onion Cuttings, Kerpi'la, and Suka-Suka Peyek. This change has had a positive impact, marked by increased member confidence in selling products and broader opportunities to expand market reach. Overall, this program demonstrates that simple interventions through label design can increase the competitiveness of local products and serve as an effective strategy for empowering MSMEs. It is hoped that this success can be emulated by other business groups to support sustainable community economic growth.

This study aims to understand the dynamics of children’s communication within families after parental infidelity in Subang Regency, with a focus on conflict, problem-solving strategies, and conformity. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through purposive sampling involving four key informants and five supporting informants. The findings indicate that post-affair conflicts often lead to children’s withdrawal from family interactions, while problem-solving efforts are not always successful in restoring trust and repairing family relationships due to unresolved emotional wounds. Children’s conformity tends to become increasingly closed and restrictive, with the family no longer functioning as a safe space to express feelings and share concerns. Parental infidelity significantly disrupts family communication, particularly in parent–child interactions, as children tend to feel insecure, lose trust, and adopt rigid or defensive communication patterns. This condition reflects a broader psychological impact in which children experience emotional distress, confusion, and difficulties in establishing meaningful relationships. Moreover, the study highlights that unresolved family communication breakdowns may contribute to long-term consequences, such as reduced self-esteem and heightened vulnerability to stress. The research underscores the importance of maintaining open, honest, and empathetic communication to support children’s emotional recovery after parental infidelity. It also recommends seeking professional assistance, such as counselors or psychologists, when families are unable to independently rebuild healthy communication patterns. This provides not only emotional relief but also preventive measures for further deterioration of family relationships.

Competition in the job market has been increasing every year, demanding high-quality human resources who are capable of adapting to rapid changes in the era of Industry 5.0. However, recent findings indicate that many graduates, particularly those from the class of 2024, still lack sufficient work readiness, contributing to a relatively low work readiness rate in Indonesia. Work readiness is a crucial attribute that determines the extent to which graduates can transition smoothly from academic settings into professional environments. One of the psychological constructs believed to influence this readiness is the Adversity Quotient (AQ), which reflects an individual’s ability to withstand, adapt, and grow in the face of challenges and difficulties. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between adversity quotient and work readiness among 174 final-year students of the Psychology Faculty at Universitas Negeri Padang. This study employed a quantitative research design with a purposive sampling technique. The Work Readiness variable was measured using a scale developed by the researcher based on Caballero et al. (2011), while the Adversity Quotient was measured using the adapted Adversity Response Profile scale from Stoltz (2000). Based on the results of product moment correlation analysis, findings show that the adversity quotient has a strong and positive correlation (r = 0.691) with work readiness. These results highlight the importance of strengthening resilience and adversity management skills to ensure that students are better prepared to enter the workforce with confidence and competence.

Belawan Port is a strategic port in North Sumatra with export-import activities reaching 5,000 tons per year, making it an important terminal in supporting international trade and regional economic growth. This research examines the role of daily work reports in dry bulk cargo unloading operations at PT. Wahana Intradermaga Niaga Belawan as a Stevedoring Company (PBM) responsible for ensuring the smooth process of loading and unloading at the port. The research methodology employs library research approach and direct field observation. The dry bulk cargo unloading process involves the inaportnet system and operates for 24 hours with three work shifts. Activities include four main types of operations: stevedoring (transferring cargo from ship to wharf), cargodoring (transfer from wharf to warehouse), delivery (shipment outside the port), and receiving (acceptance from factory to warehouse). The daily report document is a list of all cargo unloading activities during 24 hours at wharf 112. Daily work reports function as structured documentation of daily activities, conveying work progress updates, supporting performance monitoring, and serving as a reference for operational evaluation. The report's usefulness includes strengthening accountability, reducing misunderstandings, early problem detection, consistency in task implementation, and orderly documentation of unloading activities. Operational preparation involves permit processing according to port regulations, equipment preparation such as hopper, conveyor belt, grab, excavator, wheel loader, and sling ropes. The role of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Secretariat is crucial in supporting the effective supervision function of the DPRD as a pillar of good governance. However, at the Cilegon City DPRD Secretariat, this role faces significant constraints due to a policy of assigning staff to assist in work visits that is not competency-based, which risks weakening local government accountability. This research aims to analyze the facilitation role of the Cilegon City DPRD Secretariat, identify the constraints arising from the removal of expert supervision staff, and formulate optimization strategies to strengthen the institution's role. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with key informants within the Secretariat, observation, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that (1) the Secretariat's role has been degraded to be administrative rather than substantive; (2) the main constraint stems from a staff assignment system that ignores competence, which leads to a decline in the quality of supervision reports; and (3) there is an urgent need to reform the human resource management (HRM) system. It is concluded that the optimization of the Secretariat's role can only be achieved by reforming the staff assignment policy and implementing structured competency development programs to restore professionalism and effective support for the DPRD's supervision function. Therefore, this research recommends three strategic steps: in the short term, revising the staff assignment policy to prioritize competence; in the medium term, developing and implementing clear Competency-Based HRM Guidelines; and in the long term, organizing continuous functional training programs to enhance staff capacity in professionally and effectively supporting the DPRD's supervision function.

Dawet Ayu in Banjarnegara Regency is one of the traditional culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that until now is still able to survive and continue to grow. This typical beverage product not only has cultural value, but also has the potential to be a promising economic source for the local community. However, the reality on the ground shows that Dawet Jabung's business actors are still facing various serious obstacles. Limited understanding of business management, difficulties in calculating production costs in detail, and inability to determine the right selling price of products are the main obstacles. In addition, the low knowledge related to aspects of marketing, promotion, and business communication strategies makes it difficult for this business to expand the market. As a result, some business actors have actually experienced a significant decrease in sales from year to year. To answer these challenges, community service activities are carried out through two approaches, namely Action and Quality Awareness and Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA). Action and Quality Awareness are carried out through extensive counseling, lectures, and mentoring aimed at increasing the knowledge of business managers. In this activity, business actors are guided to understand the importance of financial recording, cost management, and strategies to improve product quality. Meanwhile, the RRA method is used to identify real needs in the field, as well as prepare training, mentoring, and coaching programs that are relevant to business conditions. The results of the activity showed an increase in the ability of partners to classify production costs into the categories of raw materials, labor, overhead, marketing, and transportation. In addition, business actors are now more skilled in determining selling prices based on the realization of costs incurred, not just estimates. They also began to compile simple bookkeeping related to assets, debts, and capital, so that business management became more professional, transparent, and sustainable

This community service program was carried out by students of Universitas Pelita Bangsa in Karangsetia Village, Karang Bahagia District, Bekasi Regency, as a concrete effort to strengthen the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in facing the challenges of digitalization. MSMEs in this area still encounter various obstacles, such as the absence of formal business legality, limited understanding of branding strategies, and minimal utilization of digital technology for both marketing and payment systems. These conditions have weakened business competitiveness and hindered the growth of local enterprises. The program focused on three interrelated aspects: legal compliance, brand development, and digital adoption. Business legality was facilitated through the issuance of the Business Identification Number (NIB), which provides legal certainty while granting access to government programs and financial institutions. Branding was strengthened by designing logos, banners, and simple promotional media to enhance business identity, professionalism, and consumer appeal. Digitalization was promoted through business registration on Google Maps to improve visibility, and the adoption of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a cashless payment method that is efficient, secure, and widely accepted. The methods employed included observation, socialization, mentoring, and participatory evaluation with business owners. The results demonstrated significant progress, as most MSMEs successfully obtained legal registration, adopted QRIS in daily transactions, registered their businesses on Google Maps, and developed clearer visual identities. This program had a positive impact by increasing entrepreneurial confidence, expanding market reach, and fostering awareness of the importance of digital transformation. Overall, the community service program contributed to strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability, and independence of MSMEs in Karangsetia Village, while supporting the development of the local economy.

Patient safety is a critical component of healthcare services, particularly as it directly impacts patient outcomes and the quality of hospital care. Nurses, as the frontline health professionals, play an essential role in implementing patient safety standards. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nurses’ knowledge and attitudes toward the implementation of patient safety at Baitul Hikmah General Hospital Kendal. A descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The study recruited 78 nurses using a total sampling technique, and data were collected through questionnaires that had been previously tested for validity and reliability. The results indicated that the majority of nurses demonstrated good levels of knowledge and attitudes, which were reflected in their adherence to patient safety practices. Bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rho test revealed a significant relationship between nurses’ knowledge (p-value = 0.008; r = 1.000) and attitudes (p-value = 0.008; r = 0.297) with the implementation of patient safety. These findings suggest that better knowledge and positive attitudes among nurses significantly contribute to the proper implementation of patient safety protocols. Consequently, continuous education, training, and awareness programs are necessary to strengthen nurses’ knowledge and attitudes, thereby improving the quality of healthcare services and minimizing risks to patient safety in hospital settings.

This study examines the relationship between nurses’ physical and mental workload and the implementation of patient safety at Baitul Hikmah General Hospital Kendal in 2025. Patient safety is a critical component of healthcare quality, and nurses, as the front-line providers, are directly involved in ensuring that safety standards are consistently maintained. However, high job demands often contribute to both physical and mental workload, which may affect compliance with patient safety practices. The research employed an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach, involving a total of 55 nurses from the emergency and inpatient units, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires assessing physical workload, mental workload, and adherence to patient safety procedures. Descriptive results showed that most respondents were in their productive age group, held a Diploma in Nursing, and had more than five years of clinical experience. The inferential analysis revealed a significant relationship between physical workload and patient safety (p-value = 0.023), whereas no significant relationship was found between mental workload and patient safety (p-value = 0.089). These findings suggest that while physical workload has a measurable impact on the implementation of patient safety, non-physical factors such as emotional maturity, professional responsibility, and coping strategies may play a more crucial role in ensuring safe and effective patient care. The study highlights the need for hospital management to address workload distribution and strengthen supportive measures that enhance nurses’ resilience and adherence to patient safety standards.
