This study analyzes pragmatic phenomena in digital communication, particularly those related to speech acts and their impact on public perception in the controversial case of an ice cube seller accused without clear basis by the authorities. This study applies a qualitative approach with a pragmatic analysis method based on discourse analysis. Data sources were obtained from online media news, social media posts, and official statements circulating in the digital public space. The analysis techniques used include identifying types of speech acts, interpreting implied meanings based on context, and analyzing public responses. The results show that statements from the authorities contain implications that trigger negative views even though they are not supported by strong evidence. This results in perlocutionary effects in the form of social stigma, reputational damage, and psychological stress for the victim. Conversely, the victim's communication strategies, which include being polite, defensive, and informative, can build a positive image and attract public sympathy. Furthermore, social media plays a crucial role in accelerating the spread of meaning and strengthening the construction of opinions through mass support and criticism. This research makes a significant contribution to enriching the study of pragmatics in the context of digital communication and emphasizes the importance of language ethics, media literacy, and pragmatic awareness in creating responsible public communication.

The Fréchet distribution is one of the commonly used Extreme Value Distributions (EVDs) in statistical modeling and heavy-tailed data analysis, where it plays an important role in describing product lifetimes as well as climatic and financial phenomena. The estimation of its two parameters, namely the shape parameter and the scale parameter, is traditionally based on the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method. However, maximizing the likelihood function for this distribution involves numerical difficulties, which necessitates the use of numerical optimization methods. In this study, we propose the use of the Aquila Optimizer (AO), a recent metaheuristic algorithm inspired by the hunting behavior of eagles, as an efficient numerical tool for maximizing the likelihood function of the Fréchet distribution. The objective function was formulated as the negative log-likelihood function (-LogL), and the Aquila Optimizer was employed to obtain the optimal estimates of the distribution parameters. Several simulation experiments with different sample sizes were conducted to compare the performance of the proposed method with a conventional approach represented by the Nelder–Mead method, using the Mean Squared Error (MSE) criterion. The simulation results demonstrated that the Aquila Optimizer outperformed the Nelder–Mead algorithm in many cases, although the superiority was slight. The results also showed that both algorithms were consistent, as their MSE values decreased with increasing sample size. In addition, a practical application was carried out using real data, and the results of the survival function estimation indicated a good fit.

Self-confidence is an important psychological aspect that affects students' academic, social, and emotional success. Students with low self-confidence often struggle with interactions, expressing opinions, and optimizing their academic potential, which can negatively impact their personal development in school. Therefore, this issue requires attention through appropriate guidance and counseling services. This study aims to review various guidance and counseling strategies to address low self-confidence in students based on a literature review of the last six years. The method used is a library study with a traditional literature review approach, analyzing 15 national and international journal articles. The results indicate that low self-confidence is influenced by internal factors (such as negative self-concept and low self-efficacy) and external factors (such as bullying experiences and lack of social support). The impacts include decreased academic performance, social barriers, and negative emotions such as anxiety. Various guidance strategies, such as individual counseling, group counseling with sociodrama, and empathetic teacher communication, have proven effective in enhancing students' self-confidence. These findings suggest that low self-confidence is not a permanent condition but can be addressed through planned and ongoing guidance interventions. .

Based on data from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of The United Nations), it has been predicted that the aquaculture subsector will become one of the most relied-upon resources in the future, especially in meeting food needs, fish-based nutritional needs, and empowering the global community's economy (FAO, 2016). Catfish is a type of freshwater fish that can grow and develop well because it can be cultivated in limited land areas (Marsela, 2018). The frequency of feeding is one of the important factors that need to be considered in catfish farming. To determine the effect of different feeding frequencies on the absolute weight of dumbo catfish, a study was conducted using an experimental design called the Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 3 treatments and a total of 8 replications. The test treatments were as follows: Treatment 1 (feeding twice a day), Treatment 2 (feeding three times a day), and Treatment 3 (feeding four times a day). The results of the ANOVA test showed a significant value of 0.000 (P < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in each of the different feeding frequencies. The analysis of the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level also showed that the relationship between each treatment had a significant value of 0.000 (P < 0.05). The average absolute weight of the fish for Treatment 1 was 12.99 grams, for Treatment 2 was 15.03 grams, and for Treatment 3 was 17.03 grams. The highest growth in the absolute weight of dumbo catfish fry occurred in Treatment 3 (feeding four times a day).

Object detection plays a crucial role in intelligent transportation systems, particularly for outdoor traffic monitoring applications that require accurate and real-time performance under limited computational resources. Recent developments in YOLO-based architectures have introduced multiple model variants; however, their practical performance under constrained training conditions remains insufficiently explored. This study presents a comparative evaluation of YOLOv5, YOLOv7, and YOLOv8 for outdoor traffic object detection using a real-world dataset and identical experimental settings. The main objective of this research is to analyze the robustness and detection quality of different YOLO variants when trained with a limited number of epochs, reflecting practical deployment scenarios. All models were trained and evaluated using the same dataset, preprocessing pipeline, and hardware configuration to ensure a fair comparison. Performance evaluation was conducted using multiple metrics, including precision, recall, mAP@50, Precision–Recall curves, area under the curve (AUC), and peak F1-score. Experimental results indicate that YOLOv5 outperformed YOLOv7 and YOLOv8 in terms of overall detection stability and robustness. The merged Precision–Recall analysis shows that YOLOv5 achieved a higher effective AUC and superior mAP@50, reflecting better global detection performance. In addition, YOLOv5 exhibited a higher peak F1-score, indicating a more balanced trade-off between precision and recall. In contrast, YOLOv7 and YOLOv8 showed performance degradation under limited training conditions despite their more advanced architectures. These findings suggest that YOLOv5 remains a reliable and efficient solution for outdoor traffic object detection, particularly in resource-constrained environments. The study highlights the importance of comprehensive evaluation metrics and practical experimental settings when selecting object detection models for real-world applications.
