Community Services Program aims in order so that SME have the ability to Community services program aims in order so that SMES have the entrepreneurial spirit so that there is continuity of effort, which could ultimately increase revenue. Target audience this community service activities is SME Birdcage in Village of Banyuanyar sub-district of Banjarsari town of Surakarta. Extension methods include lectures, discussions, question and answer. Activity plan extension done 2 times, the first meeting of a talk foster entrepreneurial soul, second meeting: improving the skills of the production. The outer of this activity are: 1) the SME has the spirit of entrepreneurship. 2) SME have the skills to make bird cage. The transfer of science and technology held it aims so that SME have a spirit of entrepreneurship and have skills in making bird cage.Key words: entrepreneurial spirit, production skills, SME

The aim of teaching and learning English in Elementary School is that the students can understand about the language skills well and of how they should parctice those skills in daily activities. It is hoped that they can communicate orally and writtenly in English. This article peels up the use of classroom language training in learning English for elementary school teachers of SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar. By giving explanation of classroom language and practicing it, it is hoped that it could improve the teachers’ skill in using classroom language and they could manage the class well. Beside that, teachers could also get new ideas to implement it for their students in teaching and learning process by using interesting learning media or learning method. The method used in this activity was giving information about the use of classroom language, modelling and practicing it. The result showed that all participants (teachers) became more enthusiastic, motivated, and fun when they followed this activity. It showed the active classroom atmosphere and most of them were ready to implement classroom language in teaching and learning process continuously. Classroom language is a good way to overcome students’ problems in learning English and teachers should use it because it can be one of good solution to solve students’ problems in learning English.Key words: Classroom Language, Learning English

Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari fenomena-fenomena kepemudaan yang harus senantiasa ditingkatkan, diantaranya tenggang rasa, kerja sama, kebersamaan, hard skill, soft skill, dan sebagainya, dan untuk mengembangkan potensi, bakat, dan minat pemuda yang implikasinya pada peningkatan soft skill dan hard skill baik dilingkungan keluarga, sekolah/tempat bekerja, maupun masyarakat. Bahasa sebagai media komunikasi verbal maupun tulisan memiliki peranan baik secara interpersonal maupun transaksional untuk menunjang kompetensi berkomunikasi sehingga pesan yang tersurat maupun tersirat akan tersampaikan dan difahami sesuai maksud dari interlocutor. Bahasa asing (Inggris) berperan sebagai media untuk memudahkan komunikasi pemuda dengan anggota masyarakat maupun dengan bacaan tertulis. Interaksi dengan anggota masyarakat bermakna bahwa pemuda memerlukan bahasa Inggris untuk berinteraksi dengan sesama pengguna bahasa Inggris untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu, diantaranya interaksi dengan tenaga pendidik bahasa Inggris (apabila pemuda masih menempuh pendidikan), interaksi dengan rekan kerja maupun relasi asing, dan sebagainya. Interaksi dengan bahasa cetak bermakna aktifitas pemuda terhadap bahasa tulis, diantaranya materi bacaan cetak maupun non-cetak berberbahasa Inggris, dan sebagainya. Materi pengabdian ini adalah strategi belajar mendiri menggunakan ebooks dan media sosial. Belajar mandiri merupakan suatu kegiatan belajar secara sadar baik didalam maupun diluar kelas sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab peserta didik untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Self-study dilatarbelakangi kesadaran dan kemauan peserta didik untuk belajar. Media sosial merupakan media komunikasi verbal maupun non-verbal sehingga dapat dipergunakan untuk mempraktikkan penggunaan bahasa secara interpersonal maupun transaksional. Pengabdian ini telah dilaksanakan pada 11 pemuda Desa Jetak 02/03, Wonorejo, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. Pada hari Sabtu, 26 November 2016 pukul 16.00 -17.00. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah (1) para pemuda memahami penggunaan media sosial tidak hanya sekedar mengirim dan menerima informasi namun juga sebagai sarana praktik penggunaan bahasa Inggris secara tertulis; (2) pemuda memahami dan akan mencoba mempraktikkan belajar mandiri menggunakan ebooks sebab waktu mereka untuk belajar bahasa Inggris dibawah bimbingan guru hanya disekolah dan beberapa jam dilokasi les; dan (3) pemuda membentuk group blackberry dan whats up sebagai tindak lanjut dari pengabdian ini untuk mempraktikkan komunikasi non-verbal dengan sesama pengguna.

The Community Harmony Activities entitled "Hydroponic Solutions in Narrow Lands" were held at the Ngubo Ammuktiwa Farmer Group of Kestalan Sub-District of Banjarsari Surakarta with the aim of increasing the understanding of how to solve the problems that occur in densely populated urban areas where the land is very narrow. Such conditions need to be a third-party assistance to provide a little touch of technology with the hope that the narrow land is able to provide power and maximum utilization that is with the cultivation of plants hydroponically. While the specific target to be achieved is if Activities Devotion To community is implemented then it is expected that the community will have skills in the field of hydroponics, especially vegetable hydroponics. To achieve these targets, the method of implementation is by lecturing and discussion followed by direct practice which is always monitored and evaluated periodically for 8 months. The implementation of Community Service Activities held on 26 March to 7 October 2017.Keywords: Hydroponics, narrow land.

Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Terapan 2016 Lembaga Pengembangan Kinerja Dosen

This community service activity is motivated by the importance of Strengthening digital communication capacity within environmental communities to support the sustainability of community-based environmental conservation movements. The MAT PECI Community (Indonesian Community for Ciliwung Care) as an active partner in conservation and education along the Ciliwung River still faces limitations in managing digital organizational communication, particularly in documentation, publication, and social media optimization aspects. This activity aims to enhance the capacity of community members in utilizing digital media as a means of communication, education, and environmental advocacy. The method used is Participatory Action Research with a participatory approach that involves the community actively from problem identification, planning, implementation, to evaluation. The program includes digital communication training, mentoring in social media content creation, basic photography and videography training, and the development of community digital publication strategies. The results show an increase in members’ understanding and skills in using social media, behavioral changes toward more structured documentation, greater awareness of the importance of digital communication, and the formation of a more directed organizational communication system. The findings indicate that strengthening community-based digital communication is effective in social empowerment and supports the sustainability of environmental conservation movements.

Entrepreneurship education was introduced into the schoolscurriculum with the aim of providing knowledge directed towardsdeveloping the students skills, and competences that will equip them to beinnovative, and to identify, create, and successfully manage business. Thisstudy is on the attitude of students towards entrepreneurial education inSTIE Totalwin Semarang. Questionnaire were the instrument used andsensus sampling technique was adopted. It was found out that, majorityof the respondents believes entrepreneurial education is a good policy andit has come to stay. Most student from the university are not keen andcommitted to entrepreneurship education because they seeentrepreneurship as menial and risky, and their ambition is to seek forsenior white-color job with certainty of income.

This study aims to investigate the influence of Problem-Based Learning/PBL) to increase student’s softskills in Accounting Department at Ambon City and then simultaneously generate accounting learning model that can be used by universities to improve the quality of learning both personal qualities and scientific quality through analytical skills, creativity, and open to innovation and new findings. The population in this study were students from the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Economics, Pattimura University in Darussalam Ambon. Samples were students from the Department of Accounting that would  taken courses in Management Accounting at Department of Accounting - FE Pattimura University, and Darussalam University in Ambon City. In every department, sampling of 30 people. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. Methods of data collection begins with the class treatments (to make small groups, giving the case/problem, advice by the facilitator, discussion in small group, resume small group, and facilitators make conclusions on the problems discussed), then a questionnaire distributed to respondents for answering that how perception’s respondent of PBL influence to  increase in student’s softskills. The results of hypothesis testing with simple regression analysis showed that problem-based learning (PBL) to have significant effect on the increase student’s softskill in university of state and university of private at Ambon City.   Key Words: Problem-Based Learning, Softskills

Apa yang dimaksud dengan Expert System atau dalam bahasa Indonesianya disebut dengan sistem pakar, adalah suatu aplikasi komputer yang memiliki knowledge, experience dan judgmen of skilled proffesionals. Expert system (selanjutnya disebut ES) akan memberi saran- saran keputusan dan kadang-kadang dapat juga memberikan alasan-alasan terhadap rekomendasi yuag diberikannya. Aplikasi ES yang ada saat ini, meliputi mulai aplikasi yang kompleks sampai aplikasi yang relatif sederhana. Di dalam ES, akan digunakan specialized symbolic reasonic untuk menyelesaikan rnasalah yang sulit secara baik. Dengan kata lain ES akan : 1. Menggunakan spesialized knowledge tentang permasalahan secara partikular (seperti geologikal analisis, konfigurasi komputer) daripada pengetahuan calculation. 2. Menggunakan symbolic reasonic daripada numerical calculation 3. Melakukan tindakan dalam tingkatan yang lebih baik daripada non-expert humans. Aplikasi-aplikasi tersebut digunakan oleh pengguna (user) yang tidak expert (non-expert) untuk mendapatkan rekomendasi atau saran-saran tentang permasalahan yang dihadapi. ES juga digunakan oleh para ahli sebagai knowledge assistant. Dan diharapkan, suatu aplikasi ES dapat memberikan fungsi yang lebih baik dari seseorang human expert dalam pemberian keputusan (udgments making) dalam suatu permasalahan yang spesifik.

Organization as a system of behavior included input, process and output. A collection of people, facilities and infrastructure could be used as input for further processing. Form and the process can be the interaction of people involved in the organization. The form of output was a result of cooperation in implementing something to achieved the same goal. The general purpose of operation can not function when not translated into specific objectives. Its not easy to measure achievement objectives for organizations that do not produce tangible outputs such as in the College of Economics Totalwin Semarang engaged in the business of education services. In such organizations, faculty and staff input is a factor that perform a process inorder to create good output. One of the problems still faced by the existing College of Economics Totalwin Semarang until now was "Why do some lecturers work better than other lecturer?" One of the tasks Management College of Economics Totalwin Semarang was to identify the causes of things that could happen. Source of effectiveness of lecturers include motivation, ability, knowledge, skills, attitudes and stress. The differences are influenced by the motivation of work and that can lead to different performance of each faculty. The problem in this study were 1). Work motivation could affect on the performance of lecturers STIE Totalwin Semarang. 2). Which was the factor of work motivation could dominant affected the lecturerperformance in STIE Totalwin Semarang
