This research aims to determine the effect of the Knisley mathematics learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts in class X SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe. This research was conducted using a sample of 2 classes, namely the Experiment class and the Control class. The form of test that is tested on students is an initial test (pretest), then the researcher provides treatment in the experimental teaching class using the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model and in the control class using the direct learning model, Then a posttest was given to both classes. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test. The results showed that the pretest average in the experimental and control classes was the same as tested using the average similarity test (two-way test) and met   namely so  accepted. For the posttest average equality test (right side test), it was concluded that the posttest average in the experimental class was greater than the control class because it met the requirements, namely 11.6111559 > 1.66907, so  was rejected and the conclusion was obtained that there was an influence Knisley's mathematics learning model for understanding mathematical concepts for class X.

Nevertheless, educational inequality between urban and rural areas and between islands in Indonesia remains a problem that must be addressed..Educational developments in Indonesia include increasing access to education, diversifying higher education programs, and efforts to integrate local culture in the curriculum. The government has allocated a significant budget for education, modernizing the curriculum and improving the quality of teaching. Education reform also includes teacher training and curriculum updates to face changing times. However, there are still challenges in educational governance, unequal access to education, and integrating technology in the learning process. The development of education in Indonesia reflects a journey full of challenges and significant changes. While there has been progress in terms of access and cultural integration efforts, challenges such as educational inequality, complex governance, and technology integration still need to be addressed. Quality education remains a priority, with the hope that continued efforts will ensure that education in Indonesia meets high quality standards and is relevant to face a challenging future. The position of wealth functions to cover basic needs as provisions for carrying out worship to Allah, SWT. Assets in Islamic legal governance function to spread prosperity to the weaker sections of society. Therefore, the weak party's right to ownership of property must be released and distributed to other parties, whether requested or not. Economic inequality is a trigger for crimes committed because of poverty, such as theft. Islam views that poverty is not an insult, but Islam provides solutions to poverty alleviation such as by requiring the payment of zakat and encouraging infaq shodakoh and other forms of obligations which aim to care for the weak, such as waqf. Islam is very concerned about equal distribution of property ownership, in fact its concern is included in the structure of the pillars of Islam, namely the obligation to pay zakat.

Gender equality is a social construct related to the roles, rights, and characteristics of women and men in society that can change with evolving social dynamics. In Indonesia, gender equality issues are also tied to the principle of justice, which is an integral part of the state ideology, Pancasila. Customary law, on the other hand, is a legal system that develops within specific communities and is not always codified. Customary law in Kemang Indah Village, Riau, is strongly influenced by Islam and Islamic identity. The people of Kemang Indah Village are indigenous to the Kampar tribe and have a historical connection with Minangkabau, with strong Islamic influences evident in their customary law. This research aims to understand the relationship between customary law and the concept of gender equality in Kemang Indah Village. The results of the study show that the village community has successfully harmonized these two principles. Women in Kemang Indah Village have strong roles, even becoming leaders at various levels of community organization. They are also empowered to pursue their interests and talents, with facilities aligned with the applicable customary law. This is evidence that customary law principles can be integrated effectively with the concept of gender equality in the context of Kemang Indah Village.
