In today's world, many young individuals still lack effective communication skills, a trend that is evident among university students, particularly those from Generation Z. These students, despite having access to technology and social media, are often not taught how to communicate in a professional and respectful manner. This paper discusses the importance of communication skills and their development through the Interpersonal Skills (KI) course. Within this course, students not only develop communication abilities but also both soft and hard skills essential for their personal and professional growth. The course includes various assessments, one of which is the Community Service (PKM) output. This PKM aims to provide students with practical experience in communication by engaging with external partners and presenting ideas related to their academic programs. The activities conducted under this PKM serve as an assignment for the course, contributing to grades for assignments, Mid-Semester Exams (UTS), and Final Semester Exams (UAS). Students are tasked with creating proposals, reports, posters, and videos as part of the assignment, and for the UTS, they present proposals to their partners. The UAS grade is based on the final report presentation, showcasing the results of their PKM activities. Through the KI course, students gain valuable experience in communicating with external partners, collaborating in teams, and presenting their work confidently in front of their peers. These activities not only enhance students' communication skills but also foster leadership qualities and teamwork, preparing them for professional environments. Thus, the KI course plays a crucial role in developing interpersonal communication skills that are essential in today's interconnected world.

This study aims to analyze various factors that influence employee performance at Coffee Coftea Kendari. Specifically, this study examines (1) the influence of the work environment on employee performance, (2) the influence of work discipline on employee performance, (3) the influence of the work environment on employee performance, (4) the influence of work discipline on employee performance, (5) the influence of work motivation on employee performance, (6) the influence of the work environment on employee performance through work motivation, and (7) the influence of work discipline on employee performance. The results of the study indicate that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Coffee Coftea Kendari. This means that the better the work environment provided, the higher the employee performance. However, the work environment does not have a significant effect on work motivation. This shows that although a comfortable work environment can improve performance, work motivation factors are more influenced by other variables, such as work discipline. Work discipline has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on work motivation and employee performance. This shows that employees who have high work discipline tend to have a stronger motivation to work well, which in turn improves their performance. Work motivation was also found to have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, confirming that high motivation can encourage employees to improve their productivity and work quality. Furthermore, this study also found that work motivation only significantly mediated the effect of work discipline on employee performance, but did not mediate the effect of the work environment on employee performance. This means that although work motivation plays an important role in improving performance influenced by work discipline, motivation does not act as a mediator linking the work environment to employee performance.

This paper explains the implementation of the creation of a screenplay for a feature video entitled "Mother for the Earth" with a focus on the application of parallel structure in four scenes: teaser, conflict, climax, and catharsis. Each scene serves to build narrative tension, strengthen the central theme, and generate a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental awareness. The parallel structure is applied to show a strong contrast between two mothers with different lifestyle backgrounds—one mother who adopts an environmentally friendly lifestyle and the other mother who is less concerned with life's desires. In the teaser scene, the scenario presents two main characters living in different worlds, arousing the audience's curiosity about the differences in the two mothers' views and attitudes towards the world around them. In the conflict scene, both face challenges and dilemmas related to their chosen lifestyles. The climax scene shows the culmination of their conflict, while the catharsis scene provides a resolution, where one of the mothers finally realizes the importance of small changes in daily habits that can have a big impact on the environment. This work aims to educate the audience, especially families and housewives, about the importance of raising environmental awareness from an early age in children. Through the use of parallel structure, the message about simple behaviors that have a significant impact on the environment becomes more powerful and compelling, inspiring the audience to take positive action in their daily lives for a better planet. The use of parallel structure in this scenario also serves to demonstrate how the two mothers, despite coming from different backgrounds, can share the same goal of preserving the earth.

This study seeks to provide a meaningful contribution to the development of leadership strategies aimed at fostering both learning-oriented and ethically grounded organizations. Adopting a literature review approach, the research synthesizes a range of scholarly works to explore in depth the leadership practices that facilitate continuous learning while embedding ethical principles into organizational operations and culture. The analysis reveals that the essence of effective strategic leadership lies in the capacity to navigate rapid changes, exercise authority with wisdom, and cultivate a culture of integrity. Leaders who can anticipate and adapt to environmental shifts, while maintaining transparency and fairness, are better positioned to build trust and commitment within their organizations. Additionally, strategic leadership is found to be instrumental in shaping an environment that nurtures collaboration, stimulates innovation, and incorporates ethical considerations into all levels of decision-making.The findings underscore that leadership strategies must not only address operational and competitive challenges but also prioritize moral responsibility and collective well-being. This dual focus enables organizations to remain agile while preserving their ethical identity, thus strengthening their reputation and long-term sustainability.Ultimately, the study offers practical recommendations for leaders, particularly in the public and educational sectors, to design adaptive organizational systems rooted in ethical values. By integrating learning processes with moral governance, leaders can create a synergistic and sustainable framework that supports both organizational performance and societal trust, ensuring relevance and resilience in the face of continual change.

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived organizational support and work engagement on the contextual performance of entrepreneurs in Padang City. Contextual performance is an important aspect of the work environment, reflecting the voluntary behavior of employees or entrepreneurs in helping, collaborating, and supporting organizational or business goals beyond their core duties. In the context of entrepreneurship, contextual performance can influence business continuity and development, as highly committed entrepreneurs tend to demonstrate greater initiative, loyalty, and involvement in business processes. Perceived organizational support, the extent to which individuals feel valued and supported by the organizational environment or business community, is a determining factor in shaping these positive behaviors. Meanwhile, work engagement reflects the level of enthusiasm and dedication of individuals in carrying out their business roles. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method, and data were collected through a survey of 1,146 entrepreneurs in Padang City, West Sumatra Province. The analysis showed that both perceived organizational support and work engagement significantly influenced the contextual performance of entrepreneurs. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.67 indicates that 67% of the variation in contextual performance can be explained by these two variables (p < 0.01). This finding underscores the importance of creating a supportive environment and encouraging high work engagement in the entrepreneurial context. Therefore, business owners, policymakers, and business community managers need to consider these two factors when designing comprehensive business performance improvement strategies to support regional economic growth.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, with the increasing prevalence of cases every year. One of the key methods of controlling the spread of DHF is to target the vector, Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, by eradicating their larvae. However, the widespread and continuous use of chemical larvicides has raised concerns regarding the development of mosquito resistance and environmental pollution. This community service activity aimed to provide students at Duta Karya Vocational High School with knowledge and practical skills to use natural, eco-friendly alternatives for controlling mosquito larvae, focusing on papaya seeds (Carica papaya) and alum as natural larvicides. The methods for this activity included interactive counseling, a demonstration on how to produce larvicides using papaya seeds and alum, and an engaging question-and-answer session. Thirty 12th-grade students from the Pharmacy class participated in this activity. The results revealed that the activity was highly effective in increasing the students' understanding and practical ability to independently create and apply natural larvicides. The students expressed a high level of enthusiasm and interest in the topic, actively participating in the discussions and demonstrations. As a result of this community service, the school has expressed interest in incorporating this activity into its School Health Unit (UKS) work program, which will further promote the use of natural, sustainable methods for controlling mosquito populations. The students, now equipped with the necessary skills, are ready to become "jumantik" cadres—community health volunteers responsible for monitoring and preventing mosquito larvae development. This initiative also raised awareness about utilizing organic waste, such as papaya seeds, to create valuable products for the prevention of DHF.

This study aimed to compare the inhalation anesthetic profiles of ether and chloroform in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) using a modern pharmacological approach. Five healthy male rats (8–10 weeks old) were randomly divided into three groups: ether, chloroform, and control (ketoprofen). The main parameters observed were the onset time of loss of the righting reflex and the duration until its recovery. In theory, ether works by enhancing GABAergic transmission and inhibiting NMDA channels, thus having a slow but stable induction effect (IKAPI, 2009; Arqom, 2023). In contrast, chloroform works by stabilizing the neuronal membrane through activation of the K₂P TREK-1 channel and inhibition of Na⁺/Ca²⁺ currents, resulting in rapid induction with a short duration (Pavel et al., 2020). The experimental results support this theory: chloroform showed an average onset of 167.83 seconds and an anesthesia duration of 84.67 seconds, while ether had a slower onset (307.17 seconds) but a longer duration (169.33 seconds). The difference between the two was statistically significant (ANOVA, p<0.05). The coefficient of variation for chloroform was nearly four times higher than that of ether, indicating that ether provides a more consistent anesthetic effect across individuals. These findings are consistent with previous studies, such as Fathiyah & Anretha's (2023) report on the variability of chloroform effects and the results of in vivo amethyst anesthesia studies (Aprira, 2022; Genta et al., 2021). Overall, ether is more suitable for medium-term procedures requiring stable anesthesia, while chloroform is suitable for short interventions requiring rapid induction. This study emphasizes the importance of controlled inhalation environments, adequate sample sizes, and chamber standardization to enhance the external validity of the results.

The current transformation of the workplace demands that organizations be more adaptive in understanding the factors that influence employee productivity, especially among the younger generation. Generation Z, as an age group that is starting to dominate the workforce, brings different characteristics and needs, including in terms of work-life balance and motivation. They tend to value time more, opportunities for self-development, and an inclusive work environment that supports a balance between professional and personal life. This study aims to determine the relationship between work-life balance and motivation on the performance of Generation Z employees in Klaten Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. A total of 100 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on age and employment status criteria. The research instrument was a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale, which included statements related to the dimensions of work-life balance, levels of work motivation (both intrinsic and extrinsic), and employee performance indicators. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 25 software with correlation tests and multiple regression. The results showed that both work-life balance and motivation have a positive and significant relationship on employee performance. Among these two variables, motivation is the dominant factor influencing performance improvement. This suggests that while work-life balance is important, internal employee motivations such as passion, purpose, and a sense of belonging have a greater impact on job performance. The implications of these findings suggest that companies need to design human resource management strategies that are not only flexible but also responsive to the needs of the younger generation. Creating a work environment that supports work-life balance, provides recognition, and provides career opportunities.

Additionally, companies need to understand the characteristics and values that millennial employees uphold, such as flexibility, empowerment, and opportunities to grow. This generation tends to look for jobs that give them room to innovate, as well as the opportunity to achieve a balance between personal and work life. Therefore, policies that support flexible working hours, remote working, and opportunities for skill development relevant to industry developments will be a significant added value for millennial employees. In addition, open and two-way communication between management and employees is also very important. Millennials are more likely to choose a workplace that is transparent and communicative, where they feel valued and have a voice in decision-making. By maintaining good relationships and ensuring that employees feel heard, companies can create a more positive work environment and strengthen employee commitment to the company. The positive influence of job satisfaction and work discipline on employee commitment, especially the millennial generation, can also be seen as a contributing factor to the decline in employee turnover rates. Employees who feel satisfied and have good work discipline tend to be more loyal and have the desire to stay longer in the company. This will certainly reduce recruitment and training costs for companies, while increasing organizational stability in the long run. This research is expected to be a reference for companies in formulating HR strategies that are more adaptive to the needs of millennial employees, which in turn can increase productivity and create a more innovative and sustainable work environment.
