This study aims to analyze the values of qana’ah (contentment and gratitude) in the novel Sepatu Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were collected through documentation techniques by analyzing the novel text and supported by relevant literature on Islamic values, character education, and literary studies. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods to identify and interpret the representation of qana’ah values portrayed in the main character. The results show that the value of qana’ah is reflected in Dahlan through acceptance of reality with sincerity, self-control over desires, patience in facing hardship, absence of envy, and constant gratitude despite economic limitations. These values are not only formed individually but are also strongly influenced by family education through parental role modeling, moral guidance, and everyday life experiences. Furthermore, the value of qana’ah presented in this novel is highly relevant for adolescents in the digital era, particularly in dealing with FOMO, materialistic tendencies, and consumerist lifestyles. Therefore, Sepatu Dahlan can serve as an effective medium for character education in fostering qana’ah, gratitude, resilience, and moral awareness among the younger generation.

This study examines the role of congregational prayer habituation in internalizing students’ religious character at SMP Jam'iyyatut Tholibin. Congregational prayer serves not only as a form of worship but also as a strategy for instilling religious values through consistent practice. This field research employed a phenomenological approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Primary data were collected through interviews with the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, the vice principal for student affairs, and students, while secondary data were obtained from school documents and relevant literature. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, and the data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the regular habituation of Duha and Dhuhr prayers, supported by Qur’an recitation, Asmaul Husna, and Morning Inspirational Stories (CIP), effectively strengthens students’ discipline, responsibility, worship obedience, humility, and solidarity. Although challenges such as limited student motivation and external environmental influences remain, continuous guidance, motivation, and teachers’ exemplary behavior effectively support the internalization process. Overall, integrating congregational prayer with complementary religious activities effectively promotes students’ religious character development.

This study is grounded in the observation that online game addiction has emerged among learners at SMP Muhammadiyah Bantul. In the present digital era, playing games through the internet has become tightly woven into adolescents' everyday routines. Easy accessibility together with the broad spectrum of entertainment provided has pushed the popularity of online games upward. However, immoderate engagement may foster addictive patterns that adversely affect students' academic performance, social interaction, physical condition, and mental well-being. Hence, a workable intervention is required to lower the level of dependence. The purpose of this research is to decrease learners' online game addiction by means of group counseling services that draw on the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework combined with cognitive restructuring techniques. A one-group pretest-posttest experimental scheme was adopted in this work. The findings reveal a notable reduction in the students' online game addiction scores, evidenced by the paired sample t-test significance value (two-tailed) of 0.000, which falls below 0.05. It can therefore be inferred that group counseling rooted in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach with cognitive restructuring techniques is effective for reducing online game addiction in seventh-grade learners at SMP Muhammadiyah Bantul.

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has increased the need for data security and confidentiality in digital information exchange. Various threats, such as eavesdropping, data theft, and information manipulation, require effective security methods capable of protecting message content without attracting unauthorized attention. One of the techniques used to address this issue is steganography, which conceals secret information within digital media so that the existence of the message remains undetectable. This study aims to implement the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method on digital facial images as a medium for embedding secret messages and to evaluate the quality of the resulting stego images. The system was developed using the Python programming language with a Tkinter-based graphical user interface to facilitate the processes of message embedding and extraction. Prior to embedding, the secret message was secured using an XOR encryption operation with a specific key. The embedding process was performed by modifying the least significant bits of image pixels, resulting in minimal visual distortion. Experimental results indicate that the LSB method successfully conceals secret messages while maintaining the visual quality of the cover image. The evaluation produced low Mean Squared Error (MSE) values and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) values exceeding 85 dB, indicating a very high similarity between the original and stego images. Furthermore, the hidden message could be accurately extracted using the correct key, provided that the image had not undergone compression or manipulation. Therefore, the LSB-based steganography approach on digital facial images is proven to be an effective method for enhancing information security and confidentiality.

The urgency of this research stems from the knowledge gap regarding contextual factors contributing to the underuse of learning media in rural elementary schools, which has not been adequately addressed in previous research, which has tended to focus on urban contexts. This study aims to examine teachers' perceptions at Sugayang Public Elementary School regarding the underuse of learning media in the learning process, as well as the factors that contribute to it. The method used was a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing in-depth interviews as a data collection technique. The data were then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques according to Miles and Huberman. The results showed that teachers experienced difficulties in using technology, difficulties in creating learning media, and the perception that using media was time-consuming. This reveals an important pattern that the underuse of learning media is a systematic problem rooted in the TPACK gap that is not supported by practical time management solutions. These findings imply that changes in learning practices will not occur simply through the provision of generic technology tools or training; rather, bottom-up and contextual solutions are needed. The novelty of this research lies in the in-depth qualitative approach applied to the under-researched context of rural elementary schools, which has not been studied before. This research contributes through recommendations for the implementation of a peer-mentoring program and the development of a ready-to-use digital learning media bank, thus offering valuable insights for future research with relevant stakeholders.

Evolving tourism trends indicate a transition among tourists from merely visual recreation (hedonic) toward transformative travel (eudaimonic), which is oriented toward self-reflection and the search for meaning in life. Museum Topeng Cirebon holds significant potential for transformative tourism due to its mask collection that is rich in life philosophies. The urgency of this research is to analyze these transformative tourism experiences to support the quality of tourists' intellectual experiences and the sustainability of local culture. This qualitative research employed thematic analysis with purposive sampling techniques, involving 70 respondents who completed a Google Form questionnaire, which was further supported by interviews and a literature review. The results from the pre-visit phase showed that initial motivations were dominated by hedonic tourism at 37.1%. During the visit, a transformation occurred; tour guides acted as human catalysts in building narrative engagement (62.9%), and the chronological, philosophical flow of the masks sparked an awakening of consciousness for 80% of respondents. In the post-visit phase, eudaimonic impacts were experienced by 91.4% of respondents, including an expanded worldview (37.1%) and a commitment to becoming agents of cultural change (27.1%). However, operational challenges remain, including inconsistent opening hours and a lack of digital self-information facilities.

In the Buton community, mahar also develops as a customary tradition known as boka, which carries both symbolic and socio-cultural meanings. This study aims to analyze the concept of mahar according to the Shafi’i school of law and its implementation in Taduasa Village, South Buton Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, documentation, and literature review. The findings show that mahar is viewed as a symbol of respect for women and is determined based on lineage and social status. According to the Shafi’i school, such practices are permissible as long as they are based on mutual agreement and do not burden the groom. However, excessively high dowry amounts in some cases may hinder marriage. This study concludes that the mahar tradition in Taduasa Village remains consistent with Shafi’i principles but should be adjusted to the Islamic values of ease and public welfare.
