OSCE is an exam with an assessment based on the skills (performance) observed when performing various clinical skills. The OSCE procedure is more emphasized on clinical skills that must be mastered by students to take action on their patients. However, unfortunately OSCE is a high enough stressor in causing anxiety. The OSCE has more stressors than other types of exams. This happens because of the large amount of material that must be mastered and the limited duration of the exam. In addition, the atmosphere during the exam, such as the examiner observing the students directly, causes anxiety. Anxiety that arose during the OSCE exam in medical students turned out to have a significant effect. However, there are not many studies that delve deeply into what causes it. So that the solution related to the problem of anxiety cannot be carried out optimally. The objective of this study was to explore the causes and ways to overcome anxiety in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatra Utara during the OSCE. This research was conducted from January-July 2022. It was quantitative research with cross-sectional data collection. The research sample was students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatra Utara, Class of 2019 (n = 200). Anxiety assessment was determined using the Hamilton Rating Scale For Anxiety (HARS) questionnaire, and researchers develop a questionnaire to evaluate the factors that influence students’ anxiety and coping mechanism. A total of 197 out of 200 respondents (98.5%) had anxiety while attending the OSCE. Anxiety was dominated by a mild level of anxiety, about 86 people (43.0%). External factors affect 118 people (59%) and are the factors that dominate the causes of anxiety for students that took part in OSCE. The biggest etiology of anxiety for students who took part in OSCE is the processing time as many as 42 people (21%), too many materials 41 people (20.5%), not focusing/forgetting as many as 39 people (19.5%).

Birth balls can assist mothers during the first stage of labor by promoting labor progress. Their benefits include increasing blood flow to the uterus, placenta, and baby, widening the pelvic outlet, reducing knee and ankle discomfort, providing counter-pressure on the perineum and thighs, and utilizing gravity to aid fetal descent. This process facilitates cervical dilation and shortens labor duration. This study examines the effect of birth ball therapy on first-stage labor progress in women giving birth at the Putri May Sarah Clinic, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2024. A quasi-experimental method with a two-group design was used, involving 20 participants. Data analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney test. Results showed a significant difference between the intervention and control groups, with a sig value of 0.029 (<0.05) and a z-table value of 2.189. These findings indicate that birth ball therapy positively influences first-stage labor progress. Women who used birth balls experienced faster cervical dilation and fetal descent compared to those who did not. This study highlights the benefits of birth ball therapy as a non-invasive method to improve labor outcomes. The Putri May Sarah Clinic is encouraged to promote birth ball use as a supportive measure for laboring mothers. By implementing birth ball therapy, the clinic can enhance maternal comfort and facilitate a smoother, shorter first stage of labor.

The nation's ideals to pay attention to the number of children with Disaster Families are the paradigm of the National Family Planning Family Planning Program which in 2015 had become a Quality Family Program. The type of research in this study is an analytical observational study using case control stimuli which is used to study the extent to which risk factors influence the occurrence of an effect. This research uses a retrospective approach, by identifying causal factors in past events. The sample to be used in this study was 35 mothers who visited the Ely Midwife Clinic and participated in the 3-month injection family planning program from January to April 2022. Acceptors of 3-month injection family planning are at greater risk of experiencing greater weight gain than non-acceptors of 3-month injection family planning, so that 3-month injection family planning has a greater influence than non-acceptors of 3-month injection family planning. 3-month injection contraception is not the main factor causing weight gain, as shown by the results of the Cochran & Mantel Haenszel significance test, the results obtained were X2 count (2.089) < X2 Table (3.841) or p (0.148) > α (0.050) and CI (0.872; 6.118). The benefits of this study can be used as a consideration for further research. Through a larger number of respondents and the number of variables, such as age, food intake, lifestyle, activity, and others. Midwives and other health workers can provide counseling about the side effects of 3-month injection contraception so that there is no concern from the acceptors of the contraception.
