Stroke is a cerebrovascular disorder that disrupts blood flow and oxygen supply to the brain, leading to tissue damage and impaired function. This study examines the impact of physiotherapy interventions, including Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), stretching, strengthening, and ankle exercises, on a 60-year-old patient with hemiparesis sinistra post-stroke. The patient presented with abnormal gait, postural imbalance, and weakness in the left upper and lower limbs. After undergoing physiotherapy sessions twice a week for two weeks, the patient demonstrated increased muscle strength in the left lower extremity, reduced edema in the left leg, and improved range of motion, particularly in the hip and knee joints. These findings highlight the effectiveness of physiotherapy in enhancing functional recovery for post-stroke patients with hemiparesis sinistra.

Background: Bell's Palsy is a condition of facial muscle weakness due to inflammation or damage to the VII cranial nerve (facial nerve), which is classified as a primary acute idiopathic lower motor neuron (LMN) type. This condition is characterized by unilateral facial paralysis and pain in the mastoid area, which can affect the patient's quality of life. Method: This study design used a case report method which observed one patient with a case of Bell Palsy Right. Physiotherapy intervention was carried out during four meetings at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, with therapy modalities including Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), massage, and mirror exercise. Evaluation was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) for pain, Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) for facial muscle strength, and the Ugo Fisch scale for functional ability. Results: This study shows that physiotherapy treatment during 4 meetings resulted in decreased pain, increased muscle strength, and increased functional ability with Bell palsy. Conclusion: Physiotherapy interventions in the form of TENS, massage, and mirror exercise are effective in reducing pain, increasing muscle strength, and improving functional abilities in patients with Bell's Palsy Right.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a condition that causes pain, tingling or weakness in the hands and fingers. CTS is caused by the depressed median nerve inside the carpal tunnel due to connective tissue. The implementation of therapy has an effect on reducing symptoms caused by CTS, including the implementation of Ultrasound, Tens and Exercise therapy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Ultrasound, Tens and Exercise therapy in the treatment of CTS. The method used in this study was a case study in a 54-year-old female patient diagnosed with CTS. Evaluation using NRS (Numerical Rating Scale) for pain, goniometer for LGS (Joint Range of Motion) and WHDI (Wrist Hand Disability Index) for functional activities. Therapy was carried out twice a week, patients showed a decrease in palm pain and tingling in the fingertips accompanied by an increase in LGS. The combination of Ultrasound, Tens and Exercise therapy is effective in reducing the symptoms of CTS so that it can be the right choice for this case.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a peripheral neuropathy disease that occurs due to compression or pressure on the median nerve which causes narrowing of the carpal tunnel. Common symptoms of CTS are pain, numbness, and paresthesia which usually spread to the fingers, especially the thumb, index finger, and middle finger. To determine the effectiveness of non-operative therapy in cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome using modalities of tools and exercise therapy in the form of nerve gliding exercise, free exercise with resistance, hand grip, and manual therapy techniques. Case report study is used as a research method by taking samples from 1 patient with a case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). The measuring instruments used are Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for the pain scale, Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) to measure muscle strength, Goniometer to measure Range Of Motion (ROM), and Wrist Hand Disability Index (WHDI) to measure functional activity ability. After the implementation of the 3rd therapy there were changes, namely decreased pain, increased muscle strength, increased ROM and increased functional activity.  This case study shows that there is effectiveness in providing exercise therapy, manual therapy and electrotherapy in cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS).

Cor Pulmonale Chronic Decompensata (CPCD) is a chronic pulmonary complication characterized by hypertrophy and/or dilatation of the right ventricle due to increased pulmonary artery pressure (pulmonary hypertension). due to increased pulmonary artery pressure (pulmonary hypertension). Symptoms include severe dyspnea, leg edema, hepatomegaly, and activity intolerance, which significantly reduce quality of life. Using the report method case study that assesses the effectiveness of a combination breathing exercise intervention using Diaphragm Breathing, Pursed Lip Breathing, thoracic expansion exercise, Gentle Massage, Active Cycle of Breathing Technique (ACBT) in patients with CPCD. The parameters assessed include the degree of tightness and thoracic expansion and functional ability. This study showed significant results with a decrease in the degree of tightness, an increase in lung expansion and an increase in functional ability. and improved functional ability.

The decline in balance and flexibility is a common issue among the elderly, increasing the risk of falls and injuries. This community service activity aimed to raise awareness and knowledge among the elderly in Celep Village about the importance of balance and flexibility exercises through physiotherapy education. The methods used included the delivery of educational materials, distribution of leaflets, exercise demonstrations, and pre- and post-tests to measure knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding across all indicators, with post-test scores exceeding 96%. This activity demonstrates that simple, self-administered education and exercises are effective in improving elderly awareness of the importance of maintaining body balance and flexibility. This intervention is expected to be implemented sustainably to support the quality of life in the elderly.

Background: Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) is extensive skin damage, accompanied by involvement of the mucosa and muscle-joint tissue due to immobilization with a set of symptoms in the form of abnormalities characterized by erythema, vesicles, bullae, purpura on the skin. Objective: to explore the benefits of physiotherapy in managing these problems and to identify the most effective approach in the rehabilitation process. Method: this study uses a case study approach in patients with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) taken from RSUD Sumberglagah Mojokerto. Results: There was a decrease in pain in both ankles, there was an increase in muscle strength in both ankles, there was an increase in the range of motion of the joints in both ankles, there was an increase in functional ability in patients from moderate dependence to independence. Conclusion: Based on the results that have been carried out, physiotherapy interventions in the form of ROM exercises (Active, resisted and stretching) are effective in overcoming physiotherapy problems in cases of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS).

The health services that will be provided must go through stages of approval from the patient verbally or in writing, so as not to violate the patient's rights as consumers of services and is one of the obligations of the health worker himself. This research aims to determine the implementation of informed consent in health services provided by physiotherapy students during field work practice in health institutions. This research also uses a sociological juridical method, which is the result of drawing conclusions as a result of connecting cause and effect variables in accordance with social science design. From the results of this research, it was found that physiotherapy students at Widya Husada University, Semarang, during field work practice in health institutions, always gave informed consent to patients before providing health services, either verbally or in writing. Students cannot yet be called full-fledged health workers, but when students practice field work in health institutions and provide health services to patients, they are required to provide informed consent to the patient first as a form of approval for the patient's actions.

Introduction: Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders encountered in the work environment and is categorized as a disease caused by work activities. Methods: This study used health promotion counseling method on stretching exercise for low back pain (LBP). The counseling was held on March 15, 2025 at Bening's Clinic Pamekasan which is located on Jl. Trunojoyo no. 325-327, Pocok, Laden, Kec. Pamekasan, Pamekasan Regency, East Java. A total of 21 workers participated in this counseling. The promotional media used in this activity was a leaflet, and pre-test and post-test were applied as instruments to measure the effectiveness of the counseling. Results: The results of the evaluation of 21 participants showed that their understanding of Low Back Pain (LBP) and stretching exercise increased to 100%. Conclusion: Based on the results evaluation results, the counseling conducted at Bening's Clinic Pamekasan successfully increased participants' understanding of stretching exercise for low back pain (LBP).

The textile industry, especially clothing, is never-ending, because clothing is one of the primary needs, so that production services for ready-made clothing or the clothing convection industry continue to grow rapidly. One of the companies in the clothing convection industry in Malang City is CV. Defix Unggul Jaya. The clothing convection industry often shows intensive and repetitive work patterns. This can result in excessive workloads on workers, causing work-related diseases. Each stage of work in the clothing convection industry can cause risks related to work postures such as neck pain complaints. The incidence of neck pain complaints in workers reaches 6-67%. So the role of physiotherapy becomes very important, where the form of physiotherapy services not only provides treatment, but can provide services in the form of preventing neck pain disorders through socialization activities. The purpose of this socialization activity is to see the importance of the role of physiotherapy education in understanding the prevention of neck pain in CV. Defix Unggul Jaya, Malang City convection workers. The method used is education through socialization related to neck pain complaints using leaflets as a promotional media for the mat and using pre-test and post-test to determine the level of workers' understanding of neck pain complaints. The results obtained show an increase in the understanding of convection workers regarding the prevention and proper handling of neck pain.

Introduction: One form of health service that physiotherapy can provide is using communication and education to the community, such as education in the toddler posyandu community. Methods: the method used is the provision of health promotion counseling on baby massage and oral motor exercise in infants to toddlers. This counseling was conducted on October 14, 2024 in the toddler class RW 03, Arjosari village, Blimbing District, Malang City with 10 mothers of toddlers being targeted in this counseling. The implementation of this counseling uses leaflets as promotional media. Giving pre-test and post-test as an instrument to measure the effectiveness of this counseling. Results: the results showed that the second question of the pre-test obtained a value of 0% and the post-test value obtained a result that increased to 90%. Then, for the third question, the pre-test score was 0% and the post-test score increased to 70%. Conclusion: The evaluation results state that the counseling activities carried out in the toddler class have increased knowledge to participants regarding oral motor exercise and baby massage.

Human breathing involves a process that brings oxygen from the outside air to body tissues and expels carbon dioxide from the lungs. This mechanism is characterized by decreased inspiratory pressure, reduced minute ventilation, and increased tension in the respiratory muscles. So that breathing for humans is very important, in certain conditions, the respiratory tract can be disrupted and cause various symptoms, one of the respiratory disorders is pneumothorax. Pneumothorax is the presence of air in the pleural cavity. This can cause problems with ventilation, oxygen supply, or both. When these symptoms occur in the absence of lung trauma or obvious pathology, the patient is said to have primary spontaneous pneumothorax. If the pneumothorax is accompanied by complications or the presence of pulmonary disease, the prognosis of the disease will be worse and treatment will be more difficult. One of the actions in pneumothorax cases is physiotherapy rehabilitation. The purpose of this study is to find out whether physiotherapy intervention can reduce complaints in pneumothorax patients. .  Patients are given exercise therapy in the form of pursed lip breathing, thoracic expansion exercise and gentle massage. From the therapy given as much as 3x therapy, the results were obtained in the form of decreased shortness of breath, increased thoracic expansion and increased functional activity.

Background: Respiratory failure is a condition in which the respiratory system fails to perform the function of gas exchange, namely the entry of oxygen and the exit of carbon dioxide. Patients with respiratory failure are usually put on a ventilator. Patients who are put on a ventilator will experience a buildup of secretions, to overcome this, chest physiotherapy and suction will be performed. Chest physiotherapy is a procedure performed on patients who experience secretion retention and oxygenation disorders who require assistance to thin or remove secretions. While suction is the act of inserting a suction catheter tube through the mouth or nose or endotracheal tube (ETT) which aims to reduce sputum retention, free the airway and prevent lung infections. The purpose of this community service is to teach and understand changes in oxygen saturation levels in patients with respiratory failure in the ICU room of the Dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga Lung Hospital after chest physiotherapy and suction interventions. The methods used are training, lectures and direct demonstrations. The number of patients in this community service is 4 patients. The results of this community service are the effect of increasing oxygen saturation after chest physiotherapy and suction. That is, before chest physiotherapy, the average oxygen saturation level was 93%, after chest physiotherapy for 3 days it became 97%. While before suction, the average saturation level was 95%, after suction for 3 days the 4th saturation became 100%. The conclusion is that there is an increase in oxygen saturation levels after chest physiotherapy and suction in patients with respiratory failure in the ICU Room of the Dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga Lung Hospital.

The scope of physiotherapy services is to develop, maintain, and restore movement and body function throughout the life span. This service can be done through a promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitation approach. One of the many cases of physiotherapy is musculoskeletal complaints. Musculoskeletal complaints can occur due to habits carried out during work. If the body position is not correct and maintained for a long duration, it can trigger the emergence of musculoskeletal complaints. Work that lasts for a long time will decrease a person's body ability and can cause complaints and disorders in the body, especially musculo problems, one of which is neck pain. Neck pain is a multifactorial disease and is a major problem in society today. Some risk factors for neck pain, such as old age, female gender, low social support, and non-ergonomic work postures. The method of community physiotherapy activities used is to provide health promotion counseling and education regarding physiotherapy management in the form of stretching that can be done independently. The media used are leaflets and posters. The purpose of this counseling is to provide education and physiotherapy treatment related to neck pain in Keripik Tempe Sanan workers so that they can improve the complaints that have been felt and minimize the occurrence of injuries.

Active Cycle Breathing Exercise (ACBE) is an effective therapeutic method for managing asthma symptoms, particularly in improving lung function and reducing the frequency of attacks. The role of physiotherapists as parental companions in implementing ACBE is crucial, especially at Medan Selayang Community Health Center. This study aims to analyze the contribution of physiotherapists in assisting parents of children with asthma to perform ACBE correctly and consistently. A descriptive research method was used, collecting data through interviews, observations, and questionnaires administered to parents and physiotherapists. The results indicate that physiotherapist involvement not only enhances parents' understanding of ACBE techniques but also improves adherence to regular practice at home. Furthermore, there was a significant reduction in asthma symptoms among children following consistent therapy. The physiotherapists' roles include education, demonstration, supervision, and evaluation of patient progress. Through this assistance, parents gain confidence in helping their children manage asthma, leading to an overall improvement in the quality of life for both children and families. This study recommends strengthening training programs for parents and integrating ACBE into physiotherapy services at the community health center level to ensure sustainable therapy.

One of the important functions of the body is to form balance, which refers to the ability to maintain the center of the body's position against the supporting base when standing, sitting, moving, or walking (Winter, 1995 in Howe, et al., 2008). This balance is essential to maintain stability when moving from one position to another (Lee & Scudds, 2003).

Satisfaction is very important in assessing service quality, especially in health services. Physiotherapy services are one of the medical rehabilitation services in hospitals aimed at individuals to restore movement and body functions are required to provide the best service. Dr. Hafiz Hospital (RSDH) Cianjur is the first private hospital in Cianjur, which strives to improve the quality of services in all types of services including physiotherapy services. However, the data on quality indicators of the Physiotherapy Unit showed a decrease in visits. The complaint data that is often received is about administration, service procedures, communication and attitude of officers and others. This study aims to find out the picture of patient satisfaction with physiotherapy services at Dr. Hafiz Cianjur Hospital . This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive method, the population in this study is 87 physiotherapy patients obtained using purposive sampling techniques. Data was obtained using a questionnaire, then the data was processed and univariate analysis. The results showed that satisfaction based on physical evidence (tangible) included high (41.4%), reliability had high satisfaction (41.4%), accuracy (resvonsiveness) had high satisfaction (43.7%), assurance had moderate satisfaction (44.8%), and care (empathy) have moderate satisfaction (47.1%). The hospital is advised to evaluate the quality of service to meet patient satisfaction, so that it can determine the next steps to be taken in measuring wisdom in the future.

Cognitive impairment is one of the adverse effects for the elderly. Physiotherapy plays an important role in improving cognitive function in the elderly, namely by promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative ways. Assessment of cognitive function with neuropsychological examination is the main key. A fairly popular cognitive function examination includes the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) Test. The method used was to provide counseling and examination related to cognitive impairment in the elderly using the MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) questionnaire. Participants in counseling activities consisted of 30 elderly people. Before counseling the elderly are given questions (pre-test) about material about cognitive impairment. Furthermore, the elderly were given education related to cognitive impairment, then continued with a question and answer session, after that, the MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) questionnaire was distributed. Pretest and posttest were conducted before and after counseling regarding the provision of cognitive function disorder material. Based on the data above, counseling activities carried out on understanding the elderly in the elderly griya husnul khotimah wajak related to the definition of cognitive function disorders, causes, signs and symptoms, and treatment, this is indicated by an increase in insight and knowledge of the elderly regarding cognitive function disorders in the elderly.

Elderly or elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over which in general the elderly experience a decrease in endurance so that they are vulnerable to various degenerative diseases such as Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a type of arthritis that most often occurs especially among the elderly or commonly called degenerative diseases, Osteoarthritis is one of the main causes of morbidity, and physical disability. The method given in community physiotherapy activities is to provide counseling on understanding, causes, signs and symptoms, prevention and exercises. From the activities that have been carried out at the Tumpang Health Center on Saturday, October 19, 2024, it can be concluded that it runs smoothly and is well realized. The benefits of this counseling activity are to provide insight and knowledge about the prevention and treatment of Osteoarthritis or knee arthritis so that the knowledge of the elderly about Osteoarthritis increases.
