The presence of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) community has sparked considerable controversy in Indonesia, especially on social media, which has become a popular platform for interaction. TikTok, in particular, has provided a space for the LGBT community to express themselves through sharing content. This study focuses on the opposing attitudes manifesting as discrimination towards the TikTok account @Ockmockey16. This study explores the discourse surrounding the Agus Salim donation controversy, focusing on how media narratives and legal rhetoric shape public perception. Drawing on two primary sources—articles from Brilio.net and KapanLagi.com—the research employs critical discourse analysis to examine the framing of key events, including allegations of donation mismanagement, legal strategies, and the public's reaction to the case. The findings reveal how media outlets construct competing narratives, emphasizing the roles of public figures, lawyers, and victims in influencing the discourse. By analyzing language use, power dynamics, and ideological positioning, this study highlights the interplay between legal rhetoric and public opinion in cases of social and moral significance. The research contributes to understanding how controversies are framed in digital media and their implications for justice and accountability in contemporary society.

This research aims to focus on the analysis of Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse model in online news texts which discuss the murder and rape case of Vina and her lover published by Media Liputan6.com. In this analysis, Van Dijk's model which includes three main dimensions, namely text, social cognition and context, is used to understand how online news discourse describes and manifests these events. The research results show that critical discourse analysis can help in revealing how online news discourse influences and is influenced by ideology, knowledge and interests related to the event. Thus, this analysis can contribute to a deeper understanding of how news discourse can influence and be influenced by the social and ideological context associated with the event.

This research is motivated by the importance of critical discourse analysis in the Representation of Indonesian Leaders Post Covid-19. This study aims to reveal the representation of the Indonesian government after covid-19 through covid-19 news. This research method uses a critical paradigm that focuses on multilevel methods. Discourse analysis in research also focuses on the ideology carried by online media. The approach in this study uses an approach developed by van Dijk. Research data is sourced from COVID-19 news throughout 2020. The accuracy of this research is also maintained because it uses layered search sources according to the critical discourse analysis approach in accordance with Fairclough's theory. The results of the discourse analysis show that CNN and BCC have similarities in representing the handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia, namely: the Indonesian government, under Jokowi's leadership, is not able to handle Covid-19 properly. From the point of view of critical discourse analysis, such representations contain partiality. This strengthens van Dijk's (2013) opinion that a text contains dominance and partisanship. In fact, according to Holmes & Castañeda (2016), representation can be considered as truth. The representation provided by CNI and BCI is also motivated by social elements, as stated by Fairclough (2013) that discourse is always related to social elements, including power, ideology, institutions, and other identities.

This research analyzes social criticism in the lyrics of the song "Revolusi" by Dery Firmansyah (Defamation). The lyrics of this song serve as a medium for the creator to express their critical message towards the government. The research adopts a qualitative method and applies the Van Dijk Model as a framework for critical discourse analysis, particularly in understanding the structure and production processes of the text. Through discourse analysis, the study examines the elements of criticism related to the lyrics that function as a medium for criticizing the government. The main theme of the lyrics is to critique the prevailing issues at that time. The findings of the research indicate that lyrics can be used as a medium for social criticism, as evidenced by the macro structure, superstructure, micro structure, social cognition, and social context identified through text analysis.

The satire style was chosen to express satire and criticism explicitly. In communicating on social media, satire is also used in making memes. The problem with this research is how satire language is in meme culture on social media. This research aims to reveal how political satire is discussed in memes on social media. The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply how the satire discourse is contained in pictorial texts or purely texts in social media memes. This research is interesting because the satire humor style contained in memes becomes a practical, absurd political, economic, educational, cultural, and other responsibility that can shift, eliminate, then reverse and bring up new discourses. This study uses a critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough, which identifies that the discourse can be a series of verbal and written words or a series of speech acts. With this knife of analysis, it was found that satire in memes on social media is used in the form of satire and criticism of things that are being viral and how these issues affect social media in the real world. Memes are not seen as silent, passive, and finished texts as they are produced. On the other hand, Memes are dynamic and moving strategies through comedy Satire.
