Pupus Tourism Village in Ponorogo Regency is a pioneering tourist village endowed with diverse natural, economic, and cultural potential, yet its development remains constrained by limited infrastructure and insufficient utilization of digital technology. This condition has hindered the optimization of local attractions such as Mloko Sewu, Selorejo Waterfall, Mount Tapak Bimo trekking, as well as local products including palm sugar, coffee, porang, and goat milk in supporting the village economy. This study aims to analyze strategies for optimizing village potential through the application of Green Digital Management (GDM) as an effort to establish sustainable tourism business practices. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of GDM can serve as a strategic approach for Pupus Tourism Village by integrating environmentally based digital promotion, strengthening eco-friendly creative economy initiatives, and revitalizing local culture such as the bersih desa ritual and communal work (gotong royong). The implications highlight the importance of collaboration between government, community, and tourism stakeholders in applying GDM to enhance the competitiveness of Pupus Tourism Village while simultaneously promoting sustainable economic, social, and ecological development.

Wonogiri Regency in Central Java Province has great potential for sustainable tourism development, particularly through the integration of nature and religious tourism. This study aims to analyze the development strategy of the Watu Cenik Tomb in Sendang Village as a pilgrimage destination, which involves the historical value of the tomb of the Kyai Solo Sumarto IX family, the natural landscape of the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir, and cultural traditions such as Grebeg Syawalan. Using Richard Butler's Sustainable Tourism theory with the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) model, this study applies a descriptive qualitative method through intensive interviews, observations, and documentation of stakeholders such as tourism managers, local communities, and tourists. The results of the study show that Watu Cenik has the potential to be an attractive pilgrimage destination, but its appeal is not yet optimal, with visits limited to private pilgrimages and the local community. The efforts of BUMDes Sendang Pinilih, such as the construction of homestays, shuttle services, and social media promotion, have increased visitor numbers, but additional facilities such as souvenir kiosks, local culinary offerings, photo spots, tour guides, and infrastructure improvements are still needed to attract more visitors and support the creative economy. The research conclusion emphasizes the importance of intensive digital promotion, integrated tour packages, and stakeholder collaboration to realize sustainable tourism that preserves cultural heritage while improving community welfare. Suggestions for further research include integrating mixed methods with quantitative analysis to measure economic impact and comparisons with similar destinations.

The phenomenon of TikTok content aesthetics has emerged as a new strategy in tourism promotion, including in Labuan Bajo. However, not all content produced has appealing aesthetic quality. Many videos still appear monotonous, lack creativity, or fail to highlight local uniqueness. As a result, some content falls short in building a strong destination image and instead gets lost in the increasingly saturated digital content competition. This research aims to examine in depth how the aesthetics of TikTok content contribute to increasing tourist interest in visiting Labuan Bajo, one of Indonesia’s super-priority destinations. Labuan Bajo was chosen as a case study not only because of its world-class tourism appeal but also because it is currently being actively promoted through digital branding strategies. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through TikTok content observation, in-depth interviews with content creators and local tourism stakeholders, as well as literature analysis on smart tourism and destination branding. This approach was selected to uncover the underlying meaning behind aesthetic content strategies while also highlighting the challenges faced in their implementation. The findings reveal that the aesthetics of TikTok content play a significant role in building a positive image of Labuan Bajo, enhancing its visual appeal, and creating emotional connections between prospective tourists and the destination. Nevertheless, the research also identifies challenges such as limited digital literacy, uneven content quality, and the risk of narrative homogenization that may reduce local uniqueness. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of destination branding strategies that are more adaptive to social media trends, including the creation of aesthetic guidelines rooted in local culture, digital literacy training for tourism stakeholders, and close collaboration between government, industry, and content creators. Through these efforts, Labuan Bajo has the potential to strengthen its position as a leading world-class destination.

This study investigates the influence of attraction and social media-based promotion on visitor numbers to the Bajra Sandhi Monument, a significant historical and cultural landmark in Bali. In recent years, the monument has seen a decline in the number of visitors, prompting the need for this research to explore the factors contributing to the downturn. The study employs a quantitative approach with data collected through the distribution of questionnaires. A probability sampling technique was applied, selecting 100 respondents who were visitors to the monument. The research instrument consisted of a validated and reliable questionnaire to ensure accuracy and consistency. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the impact of each independent variable—attraction (X1) and social media-based promotion (X2)—on the dependent variable, which is the number of visitors (Y). The regression equation derived from the analysis is Y = 17.266 + (0.237)X1 + (0.285)X2, with a t-table value of 1.662, an F-table value of 3.09, and a significance level of 5%. The partial tests revealed that both variables significantly influenced visitor numbers. The attraction (X1) had a t-value of 2.100, which was greater than the t-table value (1.662), and a significance level of 0.038, indicating a 12.7% contribution to visitor numbers. Similarly, social media-based promotion (X2) had a t-value of 2.607 and a significance level of 0.011, contributing 16.3%. The simultaneous test produced an F-value of 19.930, which exceeded the F-table value, with a significance of 0.000, indicating that both variables together significantly affected visitor numbers. The adjusted R² value of 0.277 suggests that 27.7% of the variation in visitor numbers is explained by attraction and social media promotion, while the remaining 72.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

This community service program focuses on enhancing digital literacy, documenting cultural traditions, and developing integrated promotional media through the EthnoGring platform in Tlemang Cultural Tourism Village, Lamongan. The activities were conducted in collaboration with the local tourism group, Pokdarwis “Bukit Inggil,” through stages of needs assessment, digital literacy training, cultural content production and curation, platform development, and monitoring and evaluation. The results indicate that digitalization strengthens community capacity to manage tourism promotion while simultaneously safeguarding cultural heritage in the face of modernization. Cultural outputs such as documentaries, photographs of traditional rituals, interview transcripts with cultural figures, and an e-book on the Nyanggring tradition serve not only as promotional tools but also as efforts to conserve collective community knowledge. The integration of these outputs into the EthnoGring platform, equipped with public service and tourism information features, highlights the strategic role of digital innovation in supporting sustainable tourism village development. Early impacts include broader exposure of Tlemang’s cultural heritage, the emergence of local economic initiatives, and the establishment of a more adaptive community organization. Although challenges remain, particularly in digital infrastructure, collective engagement and institutional support serve as key foundations for sustainability. Therefore, EthnoGring contributes not only to cultural preservation but also to strengthening the social, economic, and institutional dimensions of sustainable tourism.

The development of tourism villages is an effective strategy to improve community welfare and support the realization of sustainable development at the local level. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing a tourism village through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN), with a particular focus on creating a healthy, clean, and educational village in Ambarawa, Pringsewu Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with village officials, community leaders, and local entrepreneurs, as well as documentation of program activities. The findings reveal that the implementation of the KKN program involved three main strategies. First, environmental hygiene and health education were carried out through socialization, mentoring, and community-based clean-up initiatives. Second, digital-based tourism promotion was developed using social media and online platforms, which increased destination visibility and enhanced tourist appeal. Third, local economic empowerment was strengthened by providing training and mentoring for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), along with the introduction of non-cash transactions using QRIS to facilitate modern and efficient payments. These efforts successfully fostered community participation, raised environmental awareness, and stimulated innovative approaches to tourism promotion. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, such as limited program duration, low levels of digital literacy among some residents, and the absence of comprehensive regulations governing tourism management. Recommendations include establishing a formal tourism management institution (Pokdarwis), enhancing capacity through digital literacy training, and fostering sustainable collaboration among government, academia, and the community to ensure that tourism village development can progress consistently, innovatively, and sustainably.

The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation during program implementation. The results indicate that educational activities, including campus outreach, prevention of immorality, anti-bullying, and early childhood education (PAUD) mentoring, increased educational awareness and social literacy. Environmental actions such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and mosque revitalization successfully strengthened the values of mutual cooperation and environmental cleanliness. Furthermore, QRIS socialization positively impacted the digital literacy of MSMEs, while local tourism promotion increased the village's tourism potential. The commemoration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day served as a platform for strengthening social capital and community togetherness. Despite challenges such as limited time and participation, this collaboration significantly contributed to strengthening community capacity. Further recommendations include ongoing mentoring, infrastructure support, and strengthening the role of youth to ensure the program's sustainability.

Tourism plays a crucial role in regional development, not only in terms of the economy but also in enhancing the social and cultural quality of the community. Mojokerto Regency, particularly Pacet District, has significant natural tourism potential, one of which is Camping Outdoor Dolanan (COD) Tegal Klopo. This study aims to examine the role of the Village Government in community development through the utilization of this tourism potential. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants in this study include the village head, BUMDes managers, tourism site managers, and local residents. The results of the study show that the Village Government plays a strategic role in designing and implementing tourism development programs in the village. The Village Government not only plays a role in building synergy between BUMDes and the community but also actively plans promotional strategies that can attract tourists to visit COD Tegal Klopo. Additionally, the Village Government also plays a role in raising community awareness about the importance of maintaining the sustainability of the environment and local culture so that this tourism can provide long-term benefits for the village. However, this tourism development faces several challenges, such as limited facilities and a lack of trained human resources to professionally manage the tourism destination. Despite these challenges, the development of COD Tegal Klopo tourism has shown positive impacts on the local economy, with an increase in income from the tourism sector. Moreover, this tourism also helps preserve local culture and encourages active community participation in the village development process. With continued support from the Village Government, it is expected that this tourism development will continue to grow, provide greater economic benefits, and preserve local culture and the environment for a better future.

This study examines tourism development policies and their contribution to increasing Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Gresik Regency. The research specifically analyzes policy implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and their implications for local economic growth. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected from key informants within the Gresik Regency Government, including the Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports, as well as relevant supporting agencies. Primary data were supplemented with secondary sources, and analysis was conducted using McNabb’s (2002) model, which involves data grouping, interpretation, and the formulation of generalizable insights. Findings indicate that tourism development policies in Gresik Regency focus on five key areas: designation and spatial planning of tourism zones, development of tourist attractions and supporting infrastructure, promotion of tourism activities, and business development initiatives. These policies are supported by government regulations, community involvement, improved facilities, diversified tourism destinations, and marketing strategies utilizing both online and offline media. However, several inhibiting factors were identified, including limited funding, inadequate human resources, lack of cooperation with third parties, negative public perceptions, and insufficient knowledge about tourism potential. Overall, tourism in Gresik Regency demonstrates significant potential to enhance PAD, given its diverse natural, cultural, and religious attractions. The study concludes that strengthening collaboration, improving human resource capacity, and increasing promotional efforts are essential for optimizing tourism’s contribution to sustainable regional economic development. Future research should explore quantitative measurements of tourism's economic impact to validate the qualitative findings. Additionally, implementing performance-based budgeting for tourism programs may improve resource allocation and accountability.

This study explores the potential and contribution of hotel and restaurant taxes to Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Surabaya, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained from both primary and secondary sources. Primary data came from the Regional Government of Surabaya and the Regional Revenue Agency, while secondary data included academic literature, statistical reports, and regulatory documents. Data analysis employed McNabb’s (2002) framework, which consists of grouping information by relevant constructs, identifying interpretive bases, generating generalizations, testing alternative interpretations, and refining theory from case evidence. The findings reveal that the hotel and restaurant sectors in Surabaya possess considerable growth potential, supported by increasing investment, a steady rise in tourist arrivals, and the growing public interest in the property and culinary industries. Hotel taxes have contributed an average of 4.96% of PAD annually, while restaurant taxes contributed 8.06%, reflecting their critical role in strengthening local fiscal capacity. Revenue performance has been further enhanced by the implementation of a self-assessment tax system, improvements in taxpayer compliance, and supportive local economic infrastructure. Despite these positive contributions, several challenges remain. These include unregistered lodging facilities, limited enforcement mechanisms, and a shift in consumer demand toward smaller-scale hospitality businesses, which can reduce taxable capacity. Addressing these challenges requires optimizing the hospitality tax base, expanding tourism promotion, strengthening compliance monitoring, and advancing digital-based tax management systems to ensure efficiency and transparency. In conclusion, hotel and restaurant taxes play a vital role in ensuring Surabaya’s fiscal independence and financing public welfare initiatives. Strengthening governance and adopting adaptive policies are essential for maximizing their potential contribution to sustainable local development.

This study was conducted to examine the influence of ticket prices, facilities, and location on visitor satisfaction at Tirta Bening Swimming Pool. The approach used was quantitative with data collection through primary and secondary sources. The study population consisted of all visitors to Tirta Bening Swimming Pool. Data analysis techniques used included validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that partially, the three variables—ticket prices, facilities, and location—influence visitor satisfaction, as indicated by the t-test results. Meanwhile, based on the F-test, all three simultaneously also have a significant influence on the level of visitor satisfaction. More specifically, the facility variable has a dominant influence on visitor satisfaction. This indicates that comfort, cleanliness, completeness of facilities, and the quality of service provided by the management significantly influence visitors' perceptions of their experience at the swimming pool. Affordable ticket prices are also a major attraction, especially for families and student groups seeking cost-effective recreational alternatives. Meanwhile, the strategic and easily accessible location is also an added value, especially for visitors from the surrounding area. The implications of these findings are the importance of regularly upgrading and maintaining facilities, as well as providing additional services such as a cafeteria, comfortable changing rooms, and responsive security personnel. Management is also advised to periodically evaluate ticket pricing to maintain competitiveness while still supporting operational and service development. Furthermore, location promotion through social media and digital platforms can also expand visitor reach. This research provides an important contribution to the development of tourism destination marketing and management strategies based on visitor needs and satisfaction.

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing sustainable tourism management principles in the management of Citumang Nature Tourism, Bojong Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. This management not only emphasizes the utilization of economic value, but must also pay attention to the preservation of the natural environment, socio-cultural values and aspects, and the active involvement of the local community. This aims to ensure that the benefits of Citumang's existence can be felt by all levels of society. The purpose of this study is to determine the form and effectiveness of collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community in managing this nature tourism. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature studies and field studies. Data analysis is carried out in three stages, namely data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of the study indicate that the collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community still faces several obstacles. Problems identified include the lack of official licenses or professional guide certificates for tour guides, an unclear organizational structure resulting in weak coordination between the village government and tour guide groups, limited proactive leadership, which reduces community motivation and participation in tourism development, low community involvement in the planning and implementation of tourism activities, and a lack of effective promotion to attract visitors. These conditions have resulted in the suboptimal development of Citumang's tourism potential as a leading regional destination. This study recommends the establishment of a clear organizational structure, increased human resource capacity through guide training and certification, strengthening the role of visionary and inclusive leadership, increasing community participation in all stages of tourism management, and implementing creative and targeted promotional strategies. This will enable Citumang's nature tourism management to be more effective, sustainable, and provide optimal benefits for all stakeholders.

This research is motivated by the suboptimal strategy of the Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Office in supporting sustainable tourism development. Several problems identified include the lack of optimal management of facilities and infrastructure, such as waste management, and inadequate transportation facilities. Furthermore, tourism promotion has not been carried out in a sustainable and measurable manner, compounded by the absence of a Regional Promotion Agency. Human resources (HR) in the tourism sector also still lack a comprehensive understanding of the concept of sustainable tourism, which is a major challenge in implementing this policy effectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategies implemented by the Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Office in developing sustainable tourism. The method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study consisted of government elements, communities, and tourism business actors. The results showed that the strategies implemented by the Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Office encompass four dimensions of strategic management: environmental monitoring, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and evaluation and control. However, the strategies that have been implemented have not been optimal. Several efforts have been made, including increased training based on local potential, technology education, the formation of promotional groups, and regular activity evaluations. However, major challenges remain: strengthening coordination between various stakeholders and improving natural resource management and more environmentally friendly supporting facilities. This study illustrates the need for strategic and policy adjustments to optimize sustainable tourism development in Pangandaran Regency, with a focus on increasing understanding and involvement of the community and businesses, as well as optimizing infrastructure and promoting more planned and measurable initiatives.

This Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity was carried out in Kampung Tua Teluk Mata Ikan, Batam, with the aim of making a real contribution to the community through two main programs, namely the development of digital marketing for Ujung Beach tourist destinations and the implementation of social service activities at the Al-Kahfi Foundation. The problems faced by partners are the lack of digital promotion strategies for tourism potential and the limited support of adequate social facilities at the foundation. To overcome these problems, this service activity uses field observation methods, digital marketing training, mutual cooperation on environmental cleanliness, and socialization to the community and foundation administrators. The training includes social media content creation, digital account management, and internet-based marketing strategies to increase the attractiveness of Ujung Beach as a local tourist destination. In addition, social activities are carried out through joint community service, provision of basic needs assistance, and clean environment education. The results of the implementation of this program show an increase in public awareness of the importance of using digital technology for tourism promotion, as well as the creation of a cleaner, neater, and more comfortable social environment. The enthusiasm of the community and the foundation showed a positive response to this activity, which contributed to strengthening the socio-economic capacity of the residents. Overall, this KKN program not only provides a short-term impact in the form of improving skills and environmental cleanliness, but also encourages the sustainability of local tourism development and community empowerment. The active involvement of students in the planning and evaluation process also strengthens the spirit of collaboration and social concern which is the main basis of this service activity.

Karang Jahe Beach is one of the leading tourism destinations located in Rembang Regency. This area provides a great opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop and reach a wider market. One of the MSMEs in this area is Warung "Mbak Raisha" owned by Mrs. Inayah which has been operating since 2015. This stall is engaged in providing food and beverages for tourists. However, these MSMEs face various challenges in managing their business, including the lack of digital financial records, the lack of social media accounts as a means of digital promotion, the lack of a business logo, and the management of orders and product packaging that is not optimal. This condition causes limitations in terms of competitiveness, management efficiency, and marketing reach which has an impact on overall business growth and hinders the potential for future business development. Community service activities are carried out to help overcome these problems through strategies to strengthen branding and digital marketing. Some of the concrete steps taken are the creation of a logo as a brand identity, the installation of banners as a visual identity of the business, training on the use of social media (Instagram) as a means of promotion, the preparation of price lists, and digital financial recording using simple applications. In addition, education was also provided regarding the importance of attractive packaging to increase the selling value of products. The results of the mentoring show that Warung "Mbak Raisha" now has a stronger business identity, a more targeted promotion system, and more efficient management. This effort is expected to be able to encourage business growth and make MSMEs better prepared to face business challenges in the digital era.

This research investigates the impact of tourist attractions, service quality, and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on visitors’ intention to revisit Sendang Tourism Village, located in Tulungagung, East Java. Additionally, the study explores the function of visitor satisfaction as an intermediary variable and digital promotion as a potential moderator. The study emerged from the concern over fluctuating visitor numbers despite Sendang’s rich appeal in terms of natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and traditional charm. A quantitative method was applied, making use of a structured data collection process structured survey distributed to 138 individuals who had previously visited the site. The data were examined through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate and interpret the relationships between the research variables both the direct and mediated pathways between variables. This technique was chosen for its ability to explain complex relationships within behavioral research. The results reveal that tourist attraction, service quality, and e-WOM have a significant positive influence on revisit intention. Furthermore, tourist satisfaction was shown to act as a bridging variable between these predictors and return visits. On the other hand, digital promotion was not found to significantly moderate these effects. This indicates that digital marketing, while useful, may not independently boost visitor return rates unless paired with strong destination quality and positive visitor experiences. From a conceptual standpoint, the study contributes to tourism marketing discourse by incorporating both mediation and moderation into the revisit intention framework. In practical terms, the findings highlight the need for tourism managers to prioritize visitor satisfaction and enhance the core travel experience. Digital tools should complement rather than replace genuine service improvements and compelling destination features to effectively encourage repeat tourism.

This study aims to analyze the potential utilization of empty space on the second floor of the domestic terminal of Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (ZAM) Lombok to increase revenue from the non-aeronautical sector. The background of this study is based on the importance of optimizing airport assets to support long-term financial sustainability. This is crucial considering that the aeronautical sector is highly dependent on fluctuating flight traffic. Therefore, the development of the non-aerospace sector is a strategic alternative that needs to be seriously addressed. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through direct observation on site, interviews with airport management, and documentation studies. The results of the observation indicate that there is an empty space on the second floor of the terminal, specifically between the waiting room and a row of commercial tenants, which has not been optimally utilized. This area is considered to have a strategic position and quite high passenger traffic, so it has the potential to be developed into a new commercial facility. One of the proposed developments is a photobox service business unit with a local Lombok cultural theme. This concept is considered interesting because it combines digital technology with elements of cultural tourism promotion, in line with the trend of tourist needs for documentation and unique experiences. A feasibility analysis was conducted using the Business Model Canvas approach and the 7P marketing strategy (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence). The results showed that this idea is feasible from both an operational and marketing perspective. The study concluded that developing a photo booth business in an empty airport area has the potential to become a new, stable, efficient, and market-relevant source of revenue. Recommendations are given to airport management to immediately realize the utilization of this area to support the airport's role as a regional economic and tourism hub.

This research examines the documentation process of Alahan Muaro Paninggahan, an economic and cultural tradition in Nagari Paninggahan, Solok Regency, West Sumatra. The alahan system is a form of natural resource management passed down through generations and serves as a social, economic, and cultural identity platform for the local community. In a modern context, this research highlights how digital technology is beginning to be utilized to document, promote, and preserve the alahan tradition through social media, visual content, and other digital platforms. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including field observation, in-depth interviews, and photo and video documentation. The results indicate that digitalization plays a significant role in introducing local cultural values to a wider audience and increasing public awareness of the potential of a tradition-based economy. In addition to preserving culture, digitalization is also an effective strategy for supporting tourism promotion and strengthening regional identity.
