Dependence on social media among students has become a phenomenon that negatively impacts their critical thinking abilities, including difficulties in analyzing information, evaluating sources, and drawing logical conclusions. This study aims to examine contextual learning strategies as an effort to overcome the decline in critical thinking skills caused by social media dependence. The method used is a library research approach by reviewing various scientific sources such as books, journals, and previous studies relevant to contextual learning and critical thinking. The results of the study indicate that contextual learning can improve students’ critical thinking skills by linking learning materials to real-life situations, using authentic problems, and encouraging active student involvement in the learning process. This strategy promotes students to become more reflective, analytical, and independent in responding to information, including content obtained from social media. In addition, contextual learning helps students develop the ability to filter information and build deeper understanding. The implication of this study suggests that the consistent implementation of contextual learning strategies can serve as an effective solution to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and reduce the negative effects of social media dependence in the learning process.

Anxiety disorders are common mental health problems among adolescents, particularly high school students who face academic demands, social pressure, and emotional changes. Family support, sleep quality, and academic stress are considered factors related to students’ anxiety levels. This study aimed to examine the relationship between family support, sleep quality, academic stress, and anxiety disorders among students of SMAN 1 Sumbawa Besar. An analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 114 students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Perceived Social Support–Family (PSS-Fa), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Educational Stress Scale for Adolescence (ESSA), and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42). Bivariate analysis was performed using the chi-square test, while multivariate analysis employed binary logistic regression. Bivariate results indicated significant associations between family support, sleep quality, academic stress, and anxiety disorders (p < 0.05). However, multivariate analysis revealed that only family support and sleep quality were significantly associated with anxiety disorders, while academic stress was not significant after controlling for other variables. These findings suggest that anxiety prevention efforts should prioritize strengthening family support and improving sleep quality, alongside academic stress management within the school environment.

Infrastructure development as a National Strategic Project (NSP), such as the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road, aims to improve public welfare but often faces a crucial issue in the land acquisition process, namely the determination of compensation. This research examines the application of substantive justice, which focuses not only on procedural compliance (procedural justice) but also on the fairness and adequacy of the final outcome for the entitled parties. Using a juridical-empirical approach, this article analyzes two main problems: first, how substantive justice is realized in the deliberation stage of determining compensation and what factors cause disagreement from residents. Second, how the overall stages of land acquisition affect the achievement of substantive justice and the obstacles encountered. The analysis shows that although the land acquisition stages have procedurally followed Law No. 2 of 2012, the achievement of substantive justice is still hindered. Factors such as the appraisal of compensation which is deemed not to cover non-physical losses, lack of transparency, and an imbalanced bargaining position in deliberations are the main causes of disagreement. Obstacles in the planning, socialization, and payment stages also impede the realization of a complete sense of justice for the affected communities. This study is expected to contribute to the development of land acquisition policies that prioritize fairness, transparency, and the protection of the rights of affected communities.

Counseling etymologically derives from the noun counsel, which originates from the Latin consilium, rooted in consilere, meaning “to consult,” or to seek the views and advice of others as guidance for consideration and decision-making. As a verb, to counsel or counseling refers to the act of providing advice, guidance, warnings, encouragement, and instruction aimed at fostering self-surrender in addressing problems and managing negative behaviors among students. Educational guidance and counseling aim to strengthen Christian students to live victoriously in the Lord Jesus Christ by bringing them to an understanding of the light of God’s Word and the acceptance of themselves as God’s grace. This Classroom Action Research was conducted to address and resolve the problems of Christian students based on the research formulation, particularly through the application of intellectual, moral, and social approaches as strategic steps to enhance educational counseling services. The study employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and field notes. Data analysis was carried out by categorizing findings to generate emerging themes. In-depth interviews and focus group discussions were conducted with three teacher participants and two student participants. The findings revealed that several students required special attention due to tendencies toward delinquent behavior, while one case indicated a student’s involvement in narcotics. These findings demonstrate that student-related issues require special intervention efforts to improve their spiritual and mental well-being, leading them to a deeper knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The ultimate goal is the salvation of students’ souls and the glorification of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Religious culture that is still quite strong in the community is an important capital in the implementation of youth development programs. However, the influence of social media, promiscuity, and the lack of religious activities that are attractive to the younger generation have led to a decrease in adolescents' interest in religious activities in mosques. Therefore, this research aims to form the character of discipline, responsibility, and cooperation in the group through Islamic hadrah art activities. This study uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method, which is a community empowerment approach that focuses on the strengths and potentials possessed by the community, not on existing shortcomings or problems. In this approach, the community is invited to identify various assets they have, such as human resources, local institutions, cultural values, and social networks that can be used to overcome the problems they face. The results of the study showed that the adolescent participants experienced improved skills in playing hadrah and understanding of religious values. In addition, there has been a change in behavior towards being more disciplined, active, and caring for religious activities in the mosque environment.

Adolescence is a transitional period marked by rapid biological, psychological, and social changes, which often lead to various problems for individuals, particularly at the high school level. This study aims to analyze the role of guidance and counseling services in addressing these issues using a literature review approach. The method employed is a systematic literature review of relevant scientific publications from 2020 to 2026. The data collection process was carried out through the search, selection, and evaluation of literature related to student issues and guidance and counseling services in schools. The research findings indicate that students face various challenges, such as difficulties in learning, low academic ability, academic stress and anxiety, as well as social-emotional issues influenced by internal and external factors. Guidance and counseling services play a role in supporting students to self-reflect, overcome problems, and optimize their potential through preventive, curative, and developmental approaches. The success of these services is also supported by the role of counselors, collaboration with other teachers, and parental participation. However, in practice, there are still a number of obstacles, such as limited human resources, a lack of coordination, and an incomplete understanding of the functions of these services. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve implementation and cooperation so that guidance and counseling services can operate more efficiently.

This study discusses the dialogue between Christian faith and Karl Marx’s atheism as well as its relevance to the lives of contemporary Christians. The rise of atheism in modern society is closely related to secularization, scientific progress, social inequality, and criticism of religious institutions that are considered unable to answer humanitarian problems. Karl Marx viewed religion as an ideological instrument that often legitimized oppression and alienated humans from their true existence. Through his famous statement that “religion is the opium of the people,” Marx criticized forms of religiosity that merely comfort human suffering without striving for social liberation. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach by examining various philosophical, theological, and social sources related to Marx’s atheism and the Catholic Church’s teachings. The findings reveal that Marx’s criticism of religion should not merely be understood as a rejection of God, but also as a moral challenge for the Church to continuously renew itself in carrying out its mission amid social realities. In response, the Catholic Church, especially through the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, views atheism not only as a doctrinal challenge but also as an opportunity for dialogue and self-reflection. The study concludes that authentic Christian faith is not an escape from worldly realities but a spiritual force that encourages believers to uphold justice, solidarity, and human dignity. Therefore, Marx’s criticism can become a reflective instrument for Christians to embody a more contextual, humanistic, and socially engaged faith in the modern world.

A single paragraph, maximum 250 words. Abstract content must contain (1) an overview of the object of research, (2) problems, and research objectives, (3) proposed methods, (4) main findings and results and synthesis of main ideas, and (5) conclusions. In recent years, the Iran–United States conflict has not only unfolded within the geopolitical arena but has also been intensively constructed through international media framing that shapes how global audiences understand this reality. In the context of the digital information overflow, media no longer function merely as conveyors of facts; rather, they act as agents that construct meaning, evoke emotions, and shape the social perceptions of audiences. This study aims to analyze how international media framing constructs representations of the Iran–United States conflict and how audiences interpret such discourse within their social experiences. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) design. Data were collected through document analysis of 25 news articles from both Western and non-Western media, as well as exploratory interviews with nine participants from academic backgrounds. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach based on Norman Fairclough’s three-dimensional model. The findings reveal three main patterns: the construction of threat through media language, moral polarization that produces a dichotomy of “us versus them,” and the negotiation of meaning by audiences, which is reflective and not always linear. These findings indicate that audiences are not entirely passive; rather, they actively interpret and, at times, question media framing. Theoretically, this study extends Critical Discourse Analysis by incorporating the dimension of audience experience into the discursive process. Practically, it underscores the importance of critical media literacy in navigating the complexity of global information and opens avenues for further exploration of the relationship between discourse, power, and social experience.

The Village Fund Policy is a state instrument in realizing village-based national development as mandated by Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. The Village Fund was designed as a form of state affirmation for villages that have experienced development inequality for years. However, in practice, the policy of cutting or reducing the allocation of the Village Fund resulting from changes in national fiscal policy, budget refocusing, and state economic pressures has created serious problems for the direction of the legal politics of village development. This study aims to analyze the legal politics of cutting the Village Fund and its implications for the principle of social justice as contained in the fifth principle of Pancasila and Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The study uses a normative juridical method with a legislative approach, a conceptual approach, and a philosophical approach. The sources of legal materials consist of primary legal materials in the form of laws and regulations, secondary legal materials in the form of books, journals, and scientific articles, and tertiary legal materials in the form of legal dictionaries and encyclopedias. The results of the study indicate that the cutting of the Village Fund in legal politics indicates a shift in the state's orientation from the welfare state concept to a more centralized and pragmatic fiscal approach. This policy has hampered village development, increased social inequality, weakened village community empowerment, and potentially violated the principle of distributive justice. Therefore, fiscal policy regarding Village Funds should maintain villages as the primary subjects of national development by strengthening the principles of fiscal decentralization and social justice. This study aims to examine Deuteronomy 22:13-30 using a hermeneutic approach and relate it to the current level of awareness of early marriage among Christian congregations. The method used was a qualitative literature study, with the Bible as the primary source, supplemented by various related theological literature. The results indicate that this section of the text contains important theological values, such as holiness, justice, responsibility, and respect for human dignity, especially women, in the context of marriage. Although this text originates from the patriarchal culture of ancient Israel, its principles remain relevant in today's context. Regarding the phenomenon of early marriage, it was found that this practice often occurs without adequate preparation, whether emotional, spiritual, or economic, and thus risks causing various problems in the household. Therefore, the church has a responsibility to raise congregational awareness through faith formation, premarital education, and contextual pastoral care. This study confirms that marriage is a life calling that requires maturity and serious commitment, not simply a solution to social problems.

One of the most common problems faced by students is academic procrastination. This issue often leads to increased stress, poor academic performance, and difficulties in self-control. This study aims to examine academic procrastination behavior and evaluate the Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) approach as an alternative intervention. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach in the form of a literature study. Data were obtained from various relevant scientific sources, including national and international journals, reference books, and previous research findings published within the last ten years. The data were analyzed using a content analysis technique by organizing the information into several main themes, including the factors causing academic procrastination, its impact on students, and the effectiveness of SFBC implementation. The findings indicate that academic procrastination is influenced by internal factors, such as low learning motivation, weak self-control, and poor time management skills. External factors also include an unconducive learning environment and a lack of social support. In addition, the results show that the SFBC technique helps students reduce task-delay behavior by setting clear goals, strengthening self-potential, and developing realistic solution plans. Therefore, SFBC can be considered a relevant and effective approach in guidance and counseling services to address academic procrastination.

Education is a crucial aspect for individuals; however, in reality, many students face learning obstacles such as low motivation and academic procrastination, which can hinder their psychological development. This literature review aims to analyze the effectiveness of various Guidance and Counseling (GC) services in addressing students’ learning problems and to identify the most prevalent and efficient strategies. The research method used was a literature review of 20 scientific articles from accredited journals and academic books published over the past ten years. Data analysis was conducted thematically to map patterns and trends in the effectiveness of interventions. The results indicate that GC services significantly contribute to addressing learning difficulties through four primary models: group counseling, individual counseling, classroom guidance, and comprehensive services. Group counseling was found to be the most widely used and effective service in enhancing students’ learning motivation and social interaction through group dynamics. Meanwhile, individual counseling proved effective for addressing personal and specific issues such as truancy and procrastination. Although effective, the implementation of guidance and counseling services still faces challenges in the form of a limited number of counselors and suboptimal time management. The implications of this study emphasize the need to optimize group services as a primary strategy, as well as increased support from schools and parents to create preventive and comprehensive interventions.

The presence of BUMDes is an important factor in improving the economy and community independence, such as through the village savings and loan program. However, the lack of socialization and inaccurate targeting of program recipients are problems that have implications for BUMDes capital turnover. This study aims to explain the optimization of the savings and loan program in BUMDes in realizing the economic independence of the community of Kalimanah Kulon Village, Kalimanah District, Purbalingga Regency. This study uses a qualitative case-study approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that the BUMDes savings and loan program is able to increase village income and community welfare, although it is still not optimal. In its implementation, there are several obstacles that have the potential to hinder the implementation of this program, including the issue of inadequate human resources, minimal business planning and innovation, and low community participation in loan repayment and BUMDes business management. Therefore, adequate planning by the village government to increase the capacity of managers and community participation, as well as strengthening institutions and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in BUMDes business management are important prerequisites for optimal program achievement. Learning motivation is very important for students’ academic success, especially at the senior high school level. At SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja, there are still problems that cause low student motivation. These problems include lack of interest in learning, low self-confidence, and the use of technology mostly for entertainment purposes. This study aims to identify ways to improve students’ learning motivation through technology-based group guidance services. The research uses a library study method by collecting and analyzing scientific sources such as books and previous research journals. The results show that learning motivation is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include self-efficacy, while external factors include the fulfillment of needs for autonomy, competence, and social relatedness. Technology-based group guidance services can be an effective alternative because they combine social interaction with digital media that are familiar to students. Through discussions, sharing experiences, and the use of digital platforms, students become more active, open, and motivated in learning. Guidance and counseling teachers play an important role as facilitators in creating a supportive group dynamic. They provide positive reinforcement and help students develop self-confidence. Healthy group dynamics encourage supportive interactions, which in turn enhance students’ intrinsic motivation. Therefore, the integration of group guidance services and technology can be an effective strategy to improve students’ learning motivation and support optimal learning outcomes.

The relocation of the Social Welfare Shelter Environment (Lingkungan Pondok Sosial/Liponsos) in Sidoarjo represents a strategic effort to address social and spatial issues characterized by overcapacity, limited facilities, and an inadequate living environment that does not fully support the physical and psychological needs of people with social welfare problems (PMKS). These conditions indicate that the challenges faced by Liponsos are not merely social in nature but are also closely related to the quality of the built environment, which significantly influences the rehabilitation and recovery process of its residents. Therefore, a human-centered design approach is required in planning social service facilities. This study aims to analyze the application of humanistic architecture principles in the planned relocation of the Sidoarjo Liponsos as a foundation for creating a more livable, dignified, and user-oriented environment. The research employs a literature review method by collecting data from relevant books, journals, regulations, and previous studies. The analysis is conducted using descriptive and content analysis to examine the relationship between humanistic architectural principles and the needs of residents within social welfare facilities. The results indicate that the humanistic architectural approach is highly relevant to the relocation of Liponsos, particularly through spatial zoning based on levels of privacy and security, the provision of green open spaces and communal areas as media for social interaction and therapeutic activities, and the design of self-development spaces that support rehabilitation and empowerment. The implementation of these principles is expected to create a built environment that not only fulfills basic functional requirements but also supports psychological recovery, social stability, and sustainable improvement in the quality of life of PMKS residents.
