A student's learning success is largely determined by their academic evaluation. Estimating a student's final grade can assist educational institutions in conducting initial assessments of academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) and Random Forest (RF) algorithms in predicting students' final grades using Google Colab. This research method uses a quantitative approach using secondary data that includes age, mid-term exam scores, final exam scores, and categorical variables as independent variables, with the final grade as the dependent variable. The research process is carried out through data preprocessing steps, dividing training and test data, model training, and performance evaluation using Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results show that the Random Forest algorithm provides more accurate prediction accuracy compared to the Multiple Linear Regression algorithm, especially in identifying nonlinear relationships between variables. Therefore, the Random Forest algorithm is more recommended for predicting students' final grades with complex data characteristics.

This study aims to strengthen students’ networking competencies through the implementation of straight and cross LAN cable assembly training at SMKN 53 Jakarta. The background of this research is based on the need to enhance students’ practical skills in basic computer networking, particularly in understanding cable configurations and applying crimping techniques according to industry standards. Many students experience difficulties in differentiating wiring standards and applying correct crimping procedures, which impacts their readiness for industry practice. This research employed a practical training approach combined with demonstration and hands-on methods. The participants were students of the Computer and Network Engineering program. Data were collected through observation, performance assessment, and competency tests before and after the implementation. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ understanding of cable color standards (T568A and T568B), accuracy in assembling straight and cross cables, and testing results using LAN testers. Students demonstrated higher levels of technical accuracy, problem-solving skills, and work discipline after the intervention. The implementation of structured practical activities proved effective as a medium for strengthening networking competencies. The study implies that continuous practice-based learning aligned with industry standards is essential in vocational education to improve students’ technical readiness and employability in the networking field.

The ability to read the Qur’an is a fundamental competence in Islamic education. However, many children still face difficulties in reading the Qur’an accurately and fluently in accordance with tajwid rules. This community service program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) aimed to improve Qur’anic reading skills of students at Asy-Syakirin Qur’anic Learning Center (TPQ) in Nibung Village, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, actively involving teachers and students in all stages of the activities. The implementation consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. During the planning phase, students’ initial reading abilities were identified and grouped into basic (iqra’) and advanced (tahsin) levels, appropriate learning methods were selected, and supporting learning media were prepared. The action phase involved individual and small-group mentoring, guided Qur’an reading with direct correction of pronunciation (makharij al-huruf) and tajwid, application of memorization and dictation (imla’) techniques, and varied teaching approaches through instructor rotation. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, direct observation of students’ reading performance, and assessment of participation and attendance. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ Qur’anic reading skills, particularly in fluency, accuracy of pronunciation, and basic understanding of tajwid. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable model for improving Qur’anic literacy in Qur’anic learning institutions.

State revenue holds a vital position in sustaining national development and the functioning of government, with taxation serving as the primary contributor to Indonesia’s State Budget (APBN). The substantial reliance on tax income obliges the government to manage the taxation system in an optimal, efficient, and sustainable manner. Nevertheless, the attainment of tax revenue targets in practice remains challenged by various issues, including structural, administrative, and strategic limitations. This study seeks to examine the role of strategic tax management in supporting the achievement of state revenue objectives. The research adopts a literature review approach by analyzing textbooks, national and international scholarly journals, official government publications, and relevant regulatory frameworks. The data are analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method through processes of classification, comparison, and synthesis of findings from previous studies. The findings reveal that strategic tax management has a crucial influence on enhancing state revenue performance through coherent policy formulation, flexible strategy execution, and ongoing performance assessment. The integration of information technology, the reinforcement of tax administration, and the improvement of taxpayer compliance emerge as key determinants in achieving revenue targets. Accordingly, strategic tax management constitutes a fundamental tool for ensuring fiscal resilience and promoting sustainable national development.

Background: Accurate detection of renal cysts on CT urography requires high diagnostic precision, while manual interpretation by radiologists is susceptible to inter-observer variability and potential delays in clinical decision-making. These challenges underscore the need for a reliable automated detection system to support radiological assessment. Objective: This study aims to develop and evaluate the performance of the Neo-ZasAI application based on the YOLOv8 algorithm for the automatic identification of renal cysts. Methods: Employing a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model, the study encompassed needs analysis, model design, software development, system implementation using 200 CT urography images, and diagnostic performance evaluation. Classification results generated by Neo-ZasAI were compared with radiologist readings through confusion matrix analysis and ROC–AUC assessment. Results: The findings indicate that Neo-ZasAI achieved an accuracy of 97,5%, sensitivity of 96%, specificity of 99%, positive predictive value of 98,9%, and negative predictive value of 96,1%. The ROC analysis yielded an AUC of 0.988 (p < 0.001), demonstrating excellent discriminative capability and high concordance with radiologist interpretations as the diagnostic gold standard. Conclusion: These results suggest that Neo-ZasAI is capable of performing rapid, consistent, and accurate renal cyst detection and is thus feasible for implementation as a clinical decision support system in radiology, with potential integration into PACS workflows and further development to enhance model generalizability.

This study aims to analyze the effects of work motivation and career development on nurses’ performance through job satisfaction among nurses at Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital. Nurses’ performance is a key determinant of service quality and patient safety because nurses interact most intensively with patients and ensure continuity of nursing care. However, prior studies on the relationships among motivation, career development, job satisfaction, and performance have reported mixed findings. Therefore, further examination is needed by incorporating job satisfaction as a mediating variable to explain the mechanism of influence more comprehensively. This research employed an explanatory design with a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 165 permanent nurses selected through purposive sampling from a population of 292 nurses. Data were analyzed using variance-based SEM with SmartPLS 4, including outer model evaluation (convergent and discriminant validity) and construct reliability, as well as inner model assessment through the coefficient of determination, effect size, and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping. The results indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and career development also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on nurses’ performance. In addition, work motivation and career development have positive and significant direct effects on nurses’ performance. Indirect effect testing confirms that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between work motivation and nurses’ performance and also mediates the relationship between career development and nurses’ performance. These findings emphasize that hospitals should strengthen strategies to enhance motivation and career development in a targeted manner while ensuring key sources of job satisfaction so that nurses’ performance improves sustainably.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 360-degree feedback method in employee performance evaluation in the Preventive Maintenance department of PT. Doulton. Employee performance evaluation is a crucial element in an organization to ensure work effectiveness, competency improvement, and continuous development of human resource quality. This study uses performance assessment data from six employees with indicators in the form of assessment scores, performance categories, feedback, and corrective action plans. The results show that employee performance assessment scores range from 28.6 to 40.2, with the majority of employees falling into the “adequate” performance category. The findings also indicate that the dominant aspects of feedback are the need to improve consistency, communication, initiative, and work effectiveness. The most recommended follow-up strategy is coaching, while for employees with excellent performance, development through leadership training and promotion is recommended. Conceptually, the implementation of feedback-based performance evaluation has supported the principle of continuous development, but the implementation of the 360-degree method still requires strengthening, especially in the multi-source aspect of assessment to be more objective, comprehensive, and in accordance with the theoretical characteristics of 360-degree feedback. Thus, implementing this method can be an effective strategy for improving employee performance and career development in the Preventive Maintenance department if implemented systematically and involving various assessors.

Oral communication is a core competency in 21st-century education; however, instructional materials in elementary schools tend to emphasize reading and writing rather than structured speaking practice. This gap highlights the need for innovative learning resources that explicitly foster students’ oral communication skills. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) module designed to enhance the oral communication skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were 30 fourth-grade students, and the developed module was validated by three experts in material, media, and language. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest performance assessments.The expert validation results indicated high feasibility, with scores of 95% (material), 94% (media), and 96% (language), yielding an overall average of 95%. Teacher and student responses demonstrated strong practicality (92% and 88%, respectively; average 90%). The effectiveness test revealed a significant improvement in students’ oral communication performance, with mean scores increasing from 67 (pretest) to 86 (posttest), resulting in an N-Gain of 0.65, categorized as moderately high effectiveness. These findings suggest that the developed PjBL module is feasible, practical, and effective in improving elementary students’ oral communication skills. The study contributes to the field of communication-oriented instructional design by demonstrating how structured project-based modules, supported by simple digital enhancements such as QR-linked instructional videos, can systematically integrate speaking practice into Indonesian language learning at the primary level.

The assessment of students’ academic performance in higher education is generally still dominated by conventional numerical approaches, which are less capable of representing qualitative and subjective variables such as classroom activeness and student participation. These approaches often result in evaluations that are not holistic and do not fully reflect students’ overall academic achievements. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the concept of fuzzy logic as a support tool for assessing students’ academic performance in higher education, with a case study of students at Universitas Asahan. The research method employs a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach by applying Mamdani fuzzy logic. The input variables consist of exam scores, assignment scores, and classroom activeness, while the system output is the category of academic performance, namely sufficient, good, and very good. The sample data consist of ten active undergraduate students from Universitas Asahan. The data processing stages include fuzzification, the construction of fuzzy rules (rule base), fuzzy inference, and defuzzification using the centroid method. The results indicate that fuzzy logic is able to integrate quantitative and qualitative variables and accommodate uncertainty in academic assessment. The resulting evaluation is more proportional and realistic compared to conventional assessment methods based solely on average scores. Therefore, fuzzy logic can be considered an effective and flexible alternative approach to support student academic performance assessment systems in higher education.

Savings and Loan Cooperatives (KSP) play a strategic role as microfinance institutions that promote members' financial welfare through savings and loan services based on trust and togetherness. This study aims to analyze profitability as the basis for financial performance assessment of KSP Credit Union Bahtera Sejahtera Kewapante during the 2023–2025 period. The analysis focuses on three main profitability ratios—Return on Equity (ROE), Profit Margin (PM), and Assets Turnover (AT)—along with interpretation of performance trends, causal factors of fluctuations, and their implications for the cooperative's operational sustainability. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques through direct observation, documentation of financial statements for the last three years, and financial ratio analysis. Results indicate a significant decline in profitability performance: ROE decreased from 2.01% (2023) to -0.91% (2024) and slightly improved to -0.25% (2025); Profit Margin fell from 13.81% to -7.75% and -2.24%; while Assets Turnover showed a downward trend from 0.049 times to 0.039 times in 2025. All ratios remain far below ideal standards (ROE ≥10%, PM ≥20%, AT ≥1 time), indicating inefficiency in capital management, insufficient income to cover operational expenses, and low asset productivity. These conditions are caused by declining business income, rising operational costs, and weakening member economic activity. The findings confirm the critical need for optimizing productive loan disbursement, enhancing operational cost efficiency, and increasing active member participation as essential strategies to restore profitability and ensure the long-term sustainability of the cooperative.

This research aims to design and develop a decision support system to determine the recipients of assistance in the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pogo Tena Village. This system uses the (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method which aims to assist decision-makers in selecting families who meet the criteria to receive social assistance based on several predetermined factors, such as income level, number of family dependents, health conditions, and education. The method used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative method with a case study approach on PKH Pogo Tena Village. Data was obtained through interviews with related parties, field observations, and data collection from existing documents. In this system, the assessment is carried out by comparing alternative performance values based on pre-established criteria, and then using the TOPSIS method to determine the families who are eligible for assistance. The results of this study show that the designed decision support system can provide more objective and transparent recommendations for aid recipients. Using the TOPSIS method, the system can prioritize beneficiaries based on their proximity to the ideal solution, which helps minimize subjective errors in the beneficiary selection process. This research is expected to contribute to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of the Family Hope Program in Pogo Tena Village, as well as as a reference for other agencies that want to apply similar methods in social assistance programs.

This study aims to conduct a pilot evaluation of employee performance in the Raw Material Warehouse Section at PT. IKPP Serang Mill using a checklist-based performance appraisal model. Performance evaluation is a crucial aspect in ensuring the smooth operation of raw material warehouses, which involve a high level of occupational risk and have a direct impact on the continuity of the production process. The checklist method is applied because it integrates quantitative assessment through scoring results with qualitative evaluation in the form of behavioral feedback. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach supported by quantitative data obtained from performance assessments of ten employees holding various positions, including forklift operators, checkers, shift administrators, and shift supervisors. The results indicate that employee performance falls within a diverse spectrum, categorized as “performance” and “need to improve,” influenced by compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), work discipline, communication, and awareness of occupational health and safety (OHS). The findings also demonstrate that the checklist-based model is effective in identifying performance gaps and serves as a basis for formulating improvement actions such as coaching, OHS training, promotions, and administrative sanctions. This study concludes that the checklist model functions not only as an administrative evaluation tool but also as a strategic instrument for human resource development and sustainable organizational performance improvement.

The primary objective of this research is to enhance English academic proficiency among seventh-grade pupils at UPT SMP Negeri 4 Takalar, specifically regarding "Introduction" subject matter, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) framework. This study was necessitated by observed deficiencies in student engagement and challenges in vocabulary acquisition, particularly concerning regular and irregular verbs, which had previously led to unsatisfactory academic performance. Utilizing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the investigation was executed over two distinct cycles with a cohort of 24 students from Class VII B. Data acquisition involved the administration of performance assessments and systematic classroom observations. Subsequent analysis revealed a marked enhancement in learning achievements. During Cycle I, the mean score was recorded at 78.75, corresponding to a classical mastery rate of 37.5%. Following instructional refinements in Cycle II, the average score rose to 80.42, while the classical mastery rate increased to 50%. Moreover, observational evidence highlighted constructive behavioral shifts characterized by heightened engagement in collaborative discussions and improved oral communication confidence. Consequently, this study concludes that deploying the PBL model serves as an effective strategy for augmenting both English academic achievement and social interaction within the classroom environment.

English Correspondence is an important course for university students from non-English departments as it equips them with professional writing skills needed in the workplace, including job application letter writing. This study aims to describe students’ writing outcomes in writing job application letters after receiving instruction in an English Correspondence course. The study employed a descriptive qualitative research design. The participants consisted of 22 students from a non-English department enrolled in the English Correspondence course at Stekom university. The data were obtained from students’ final job application letters and analyzed using an analytic writing assessment rubric focusing on content relevance, completeness of letter structure, organization, and use of formal English. The findings reveal that students generally achieved good writing outcomes in writing job application letters. The strongest aspect was the completeness of letter structure, indicating that most students were able to apply the standard format and components of a job application letter appropriately. Students also demonstrated relatively good performance in content relevance and use of formal English. However, weaknesses were identified in organization and language accuracy, particularly in developing coherent ideas and using grammatically accurate formal expressions. The analysis of representative excerpts from students’ letters further illustrates variations in writing quality across aspects. Overall, the findings suggest that instruction in the English Correspondence course contributed positively to students’ ability to write job application letters. This study highlights the importance of examining students’ writing outcomes holistically to provide insights for improving instructional practices in teaching professional writing.

This study examined the operational performance of CV Fortis Sportwear Indonesia (FSI) before implementing the Balanced Scorecard approach, identified the factors that hindered each Balanced Scorecard perspective, and analyzed the company's operational performance when measured using this approach.This study employed a descriptive quantitative method, aimed at providing a systematic, factual, and accurate overview of CV FSI's operational performance based on the Balanced Scorecard approach. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and literature review to obtain information related to the four main perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth.After implementing the Balanced Scorecard, the performance evaluation of CV Fortis Sportswear Indonesia became more comprehensive compared to the previous system, which focused solely on financial aspects. The financial perspective showed improvement, but the customer aspect remained adequate, with declining retention and increasing complaints. Internal business processes still faced inefficiencies and quality issues, despite the introduction of new technology. The learning and growth perspective also improved through training, but employee satisfaction remained moderate. The Balanced Scorecard proved to provide a more comprehensive performance assessment and identified the need for improvements in customer, internal processes, and human resource development.

Anxiety in completing a final thesis is a common issue experienced by final-year students, which can affect academic performance, mental health, and even delay graduation. This condition highlights the importance of effective strategies to manage psychological pressure appropriately. This study aims to explore the application of spiritual coping in helping students reduce anxiety during the thesis writing process. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The participants consisted of three students selected from a total of thirteen who had been identified with severe anxiety. The instruments used were the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale as an initial assessment, followed by in-depth interviews and observations to explore their experiences, coping strategies, and psychological dynamics. Data were analyzed thematically by focusing on the personal, social, environmental, and religious domains in the practice of spiritual coping. The findings indicate that spiritual coping assists students in managing emotions, discovering life meaning, and maintaining academic commitment. Religious practices, prayer, spiritual reflection, and social support proved effective in fostering inner peace and alleviating anxiety symptoms. In conclusion, spiritual coping can serve as an effective strategy to support students in facing academic pressures and in enhancing psychological well-being.

This study compares the scalability and maintainability of three prominent programming paradigms-functional programming (FP), object-oriented programming (OOP), and declarative programming (DP)-in the context of distributed data processing systems. The research aims to evaluate how each paradigm performs under increased data volume and its ability to handle complex operations, while also assessing the ease of maintenance through code readability, modularity, and the flexibility of updating and debugging. The study employs a comparative experimental design, implementing identical data processing tasks, such as data aggregation, filtering, and transformation, across each paradigm. Key findings indicate that FP and DP outperform OOP in terms of scalability, with their stateless nature and high-level abstractions enabling efficient parallel processing and task distribution. FP, with its emphasis on immutability and concurrency, and DP, with its focus on describing desired outcomes rather than implementation specifics, both demonstrate superior performance in handling large datasets. However, while OOP excels in modularity and flexibility, its reliance on mutable state and shared resources hampers its scalability in distributed environments. In terms of maintainability, both FP and DP offer clearer, more maintainable code due to their abstraction levels, making them easier to update and extend. OOP, while modular, presents challenges in managing mutable state, complicating maintenance. This paper concludes with practical recommendations for developers on when to use each paradigm based on system requirements and suggests areas for future research, such as hybrid paradigms and long-term maintainability studies in real-world applications.

The City of Singkawang faces significant challenges in drinking water management, characterized by limited production capacity, high non-revenue water (NRW), and the absence of digital infrastructure such as AMR, LoRaWAN, and DMA, necessitating a structured development framework to support the transition toward a smart water system. This study formulates an IoT-based smart water roadmap aligned with the regional development plan (RPJMD) and the operational capacity of the local water utility through a performance gap analysis with benchmark cities (Surabaya and Balikpapan), capacity assessment using six objective parameters, and the use of secondary data from official reports and technical documents. The resulting roadmap comprises three sequential phases covering basic infrastructure reinforcement, network digitalization through IoT sensors and telemetry, and the implementation of DMA and SCADA to enable real-time monitoring and control. This approach provides a realistic and adaptive implementation framework for medium-sized cities with limited resources, strengthening NRW reduction efforts, improving service reliability, and supporting the integration of digital technologies in sustainable water utility management.

Steam turbines remain a core technology in thermal power generation and continue to evolve through advances in aerothermal design, materials, control strategies, and digital maintenance. This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of recent international studies published between 2020 and 2025 to synthesize current developments in steam turbine performance and thermal efficiency improvement. Article identification was conducted through SCOPUS using keywords related to turbine efficiency, blade/nozzle optimization, failure analysis, and material enhancement. The selected studies were analyzed thematically across four domains: (1) design and optimization using CFD/FEA, (2) material and structural resilience, (3) operational performance under variable/part-load conditions, and (4) integration with hybrid renewable systems and predictive maintenance. The reviewed evidence indicates that CFD-based nozzle/blade optimization and advanced control approaches can yield measurable efficiency improvements (approximately 2–7.3%), while material innovations and enhanced cooling strategies improve durability by mitigating thermal stress and fatigue risks. In parallel, digitalization through IoT-based predictive maintenance and additive manufacturing is increasingly reported as a pathway to reduce downtime and accelerate component production. However, recurring gaps include limited real-world validation, insufficient studies in humid/tropical environments, and a lack of long-term economic/lifecycle assessments. Future work should prioritize experimental or field verification, region-specific performance studies, and integrated techno-economic evaluation to support broader deployment of high-efficiency steam turbine systems.

This research aims to analyze the adaptive role of a dance teacher in teaching the subject of music art at SMK Asta Mitra Purwodadi, as well as identifying the patterns of collaborative approaches and the implementation of the Deep Learning strategy in the learning process. This phenomenon attracts researchers due to the case of a teacher teaching cross-disciplinary subjects, although still within the domain of the arts. This study employs a qualitative method using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation techniques. The main subject of this research is Bu Evi, a dance teacher who also serves as the music art instructor. The research results indicate that the non-specialist teacher (with a dance background) successfully overcomes limitations in teaching music by performing a role transformation into a facilitator focusing on expression, rhythm, and performance. The implementation of Deep Learning is realized effectively through a kinesthetic approach, where abstract music concepts (such as tempo and dynamics) are translated through body movement exploration, which is proven to increase student enthusiasm and understanding. Furthermore, the teacher implements a strategic collaborative pattern with the music extracurricular teacher, where responsibilities are divided between aspects of expression/movement and the deepening of theory/vocal technique, ensuring talented students still receive adequate technical development. Assessment focuses on performative aspects (expression, tempo, teamwork, and self-confidence). This research concludes that the teacher's professionalism and pedagogical creativity are the main keys to bridging competency gaps, while simultaneously ensuring the achievement of the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum in shaping student character and 21st-century skills.
